Our room was small, but the main value of staying here is its central location to be able to go out and about. A couple blocks from the train station, across the street from the ferry, and adjacent to a nice walk in the shade along the shoreline with quality restaurants.
Stay here if you plan on visiting Salerno!

This place is owned by the restaurant downstairs and they manage the property. The staff was worst and you have to wait for check-in check-out. Wifi password was wrong and they were making fun of it in \"Bangla\" ( language). Please try to avoid this property at any cost.

This place is a short walk from the train station and right across the street from the marina where a ferry will take you out to some of the islands. It has a nice cafe and the staff was very friendly and helpful, even though I am an American who does not speak Italian, it is located on the main road and plays loud music at night. Choose a non sea view room for a quieter experience.

The location is perfect with a view of the ocean and the owner owns a cafe below and they are extremely friendly and walked me to my room. The lady downstairs was also my waitress in the morning for coffee and croissants. Thank you for everything!

Not impressed, it seems like they are trying to run a small hotel in addition to a large restaurant-and the restaurant gets all the attention. The check in process was difficult in that there is no front desk, the bakery counter serves that function. Three separate keys are required to access your room, the second key was very tricky-we needed help to figure it out and the folks at the bakery counter were too busy. The room was clean but noisy.

Close to the train station and across from the boats that go to the Amalfi coast. In front of the train station there is also a bus that goes to Amalfi. Close to the centre and shops and restaurants. Good wifi. Has a mini fridge. Comfortable bed and good washroom. Great view of ocean. Air conditioning unit in the room although it wouldn't always keep the room cool enough. For breakfast (coffee, juice, pastry) you had to go to their cafe downstairs but it was always so busy you had to stand in line and order with everyone else, didn't matter if you were a guest at hotel. Only if you went late morning they would come and bring it to your table. Overall it was good and would recommend it.

Very Nice - Most Enjoyable.

This was a very nice room. Modern with a little extra décor inspiration. White with red tiles and nice artwork. Very comfortable. A special feature of this room was a lounge area. A Family could be happy here. The lounge room is actually a bedroom for a single person with ensuite. I was surprised to have that extra room space. The Café downstairs manages the rooms upstairs.....breakfast was limited.

Loved it!! Great stay and Service - Very Friendly

Highly recommend. You pick up your key at the cafe next door which has excellent Gelato, pastry and coffee. We were taken to a great restaurant not far from hotel so don't miss that just ask at the cafe. Excellent boutique type hotel, litterally a block from the train station towards the water and not far from the Marina. Walking distance to historic district. I have included a picture of our view!

My husband and I stayed at the Seasuite off season. The Seasuites are perfectly located by the train station and have amazing water views. Lots of good food around. They served breakfast upstairs every morning and the pastries and yogurt were delicious. The rooms are on the small side but we did not come to Salerno to stay in our room. We found Salerno to be a great jumping off point for the coast and some of the local sites like Pompeii and Paestum.

Beware: Check-in is a nightmare

We arrived by a private car service on a Sunday morning intending to drop off our bags until check-in at 2 pm. However, there was no one to greet us or provide us with any location or instructions for check-in. The hotel is actually a three-room suite in a converted first-floor apartment above a restaurant. Even our Italian-speaking driver was perplexed by the lack of service. We were told by staff at the ground-floor restaurant that no one was available to check us in until the afternoon. We had to hire the services of our driver for the entire day just to have the convenience of a place to store our bags while we went sightseeing in Paestum, about 40-minute drive south. While the hotel suite is well located, hospitality is entirely lacking.

Nice Stay!

Spent one night to visit Salerno before heading to Amalfi Coast and Sorrento. Less than 5 minute walk to train & bus stations. Even though it is on a busy street, the room is well insulated and quiet. Room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely furnished. Nice fruit & pastry breakfast. Easy walk to many restaurants & cafes.

Perfect option in Salerno

First off, you're above a gelato shop / bakery / cafe. How much more \"Italy\" can it get. This is an ideal place for people who want to be close to transit in Salerno. Boats, buses, and trains are all an easy walk away. The staff also makes this a remarkable option. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly.

Nice room with good location. Close to walking commertial street, cafes , restaurants and two blocks from train terminal station. Breakfast with pastries fresh from the oven and great coffee. Do not expect a hotel w hotel service and amenities. This is part of a building renovated as suites w its own entrance. I would stay again.

We chose this hotel to take the train down to the area, avoid Naples, and see the Amalfi Coast en route to the Isle of Capri. The price was much lower than what we paid in other cities, but we thought it might be because Salerno is not really a tourism magnet. But, it turns out it was priced fairly considering what it lacked. The door to the next room was only a sliding accordion door, meaning we could hear every sound from beyond the door, and they could have heard us as well except they were making so much noise. We thought we would be a short walk to the boat dock but it was actually almost a mile, a very hot walk with the heat wave engulfing Italy.

We opted to stay in Salerno as a base for visiting the Amalfi coast. La Madegra Seasuite was a great choice - very warm welcome from our host, suite itself is modern with fantastic facilities. Location convenient for nearby train station and ferry services to Amalfi coast.

Would not hesitate in staying here again.

Our one small suggestion would be that hotel guests are served separately at breakfast as we found ourselves queueing with cafe visitors.

Really enjoyed our stay here while in Salerno! 5 minute walk from train station and ferry port is literally across the street. View from room was AMAZING! We had trouble getting the key to work, and the hotel staff wasn't super helpful. Room was very clean and just as pictured. Breakfast was fresh pastries and coffee from the wonderful cafe located below the hotel (I recommend the donut and a cappuccino). We were able to leave our bags early in the morning so that we could spend all day in Positano and check-in in the evening. Room also had many hi-tech amenities, like lighting options, waterfall shower head with lights, and electronic window shades.

Great place to stay for handy access to top spots

Very nice place to stay. The facilities all worked well and although the reception was a little brusque the experience was very good. Fantastic location for access to ferries and also the railway station. Breakfast was 'Italian' sweet croissant, coffee was the very strong little dribble in the bottom of a cup...asking them to fill up the cup with hot water proved a little difficult....(should have learnt Italian)...but hey this is a top location for access to so much and the Unit is safe. Very near the shops which are good, and one helluva lot cheaper than the trendy spots of the coast etc.. which are within easy reach thanks to the ferries.

Extremely good lcatin ... 2 blocks from the train station & 2 blocks from the ferries to the Amalfi Coast .... hotel is on the Via Concordia which contains much of the social life along the bay. The hotel is extremely comfortable, modern, & clean. I highly recomend it. One small oddity is that there is no front desk for check in. The hotel is part of a restaurant / coffee shop combination. So when you arrive, stop at the coffee shop (which is where breakfast is served) and they will escort you to your hotel room and give you keys. ... also, I prefer soft beds, and this hotel had the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on.

We arrived by train a simple 100 yards from the hotel. Easy to find above a Bakery. Anna was there to greet us and in 5 minutes we were in our room. Beautiful tiles, furniture, and view! The port for getting the ferry was across the street. You can get buses or ferries within 5 minutes from the hotel. We used Salerno as our base and were able to do everything we wanted to do. Salerno is a beautiful city on its own. Thanks to Anna and Cici for great service, and the amazing croissants and pastries we had for breakfast. I would go back there in a heartbeat!

Great B&B seaview, amalfi coast view

Pleasant B&B over a popular cafe/glacé. Across the road is the mole from where ferries to Positano and Amalfi sail, a few minutes walk to the railway station, and the south end of the Corso. Modern newly decorated rooms in excellent condition, not huge but perfectly adequate. On the first floor with a small lift. Kettle, aircon, small fridge, shower, etc.. The best bit is the wide panoramic window which gives views of the sea, and the Amalfi coast. WiFi, (which did stop working at the end of my stay), and a plethora of switches for the blind, the shutter, and the electric window opener. Breakfast (coffee and croissant) is downstairs in the popular cafe.

Quality on sea front very near transport links

This is a comfortable, very well presented, hotel right on the sea and halfway along the short walk between the ferry terminal (from Amalfi etc), the bus stops, and the main station (which has connections all over Italy). My room overlooked the sea and yacht harbour. It is slightly odd that reception is in a café on the ground floor of the building which the hotel shares with other businesses, but that did not create any practical problems, and indeed having the run of the café for breakfast offered a wholly different range of choices from a normal hotel. In Salerno, being close to the station means being about a mile from the interesting and attractive historical centre, but the latter is worth the walk to either by way of the sea-front or along the main shopping street, both mainly pedestrianised.

Beautiful place

I can't say enough great things about this place. It was absolutely beautiful! The staff was so great! The gentleman that checked me in spoke a little English since I didn't speak Italian and was able to help me, the woman that cleans the rooms was so sweet and always asked if I needed anything. Then the girls that work the Cafe for breakfast were so nice and remembered what I got everyday. I just loved this place. I was in Italy for a month and the few days there was the best part of my whole trip. Will definitely return.

Great place to stay in Salerno!

This hotel was a great place to stay on our Italy trip. The staff were really friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I would mention is that the shower is small for a big person and it did not drain well. That said, this was minor and we would stay there again.

We stayed 6 nights. This hotel was fantastic. It is probably the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. We had a beautiful sea view. The room was beautiful very cool and modern. The bed was excellent lots of support and very comfortable. Breakfast was downstairs in a small bar was the typical italian breakfast. Fresh pastries. They also had delicious gelato! The shower is small typical of Europe if you are very big it will be tight. But it was beautiful will tiled art work. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall very very pleased. Would stay again if we go back to Salerno. 5 Stars!!

Perfect stopover before heading to Positano!

This was a great location for what we were looking for. Flew into Rome and took the fast train from Termini station to Salerno. The hotel was straight down from the train station towards the water about a 5-10 minute walk. To check in went next door to the restaurant. Hotel is between coffee shop and a restaurant by the same name. Place was clean! Bed comfy and air conditioning worked well! Had the best lemon filled croissant from the cafe next door. (Included with room breakfast at cafe)
Walked across the street to the pier to catch ferry to Positano. Couldn't have been easier.

Posizione strategica per raggiungere costiera

B&B in posizione strategica a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Salerno e a 5 minuti a piedi dai traghetti per raggiungere la costiera amalfitana. Il check in si fa al bar sotto al B&B così come la colazione che però si limita a brioche (buonissime) e bevanda, un po’ limitata per chi è abituato a fare una colazione un po’ più sana (no yogurt/cereali/frutta). Camera pulita e spaziosa. Le camere vista mare (bellissima) hanno però il difetto di essere un po’ rumorose per via del bar sotto al B&B frequentato da giovani e della musica. In generale un ottimo B&B per due notti.

La recepción es en el bar a un lado del hotel y los que atienden no hablan ni inglés ni español y no explican muy bien y solo te dan una llave para entrar al edificio y al piso del hotel. Además el desayuno está incluido pero solo un crosaint y un café pero no te explican solo te dicen que veas la carta y pidas y luego te cobran lo que pidas sino es el crosaint o el café.

O melhor de tudo é a localização, perto da estação de trem, em frente ao mar e a Marina onde se pega os barcos para Amalfi, Positano, etc. O checkin/check-out são feitos no bar abaixo do b&b, sem qualquer complicação.
