What a charming little hotel! Situated mere blocks from St. Mark’s, the Casa sul Molo is a hidden gem. The property was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The owners/managers were very kind and accommodating. I am so glad we chose to stay here and I look forward to doing so again in the near future!

It has a great location and in a nice busy area only problem it’s not actually a hotel it’s like a modified apartment where there is 3 bedrooms in each floor and each bedroom has its own bathroom. I just didn’t like the stairs to the third floor was kind a hard and mattress is too hard felt like sleeping on the floor. They also had ants in the bathroom I mentioned it to them but they said it’s because of the food

Lovely hidden Gem

we had 2 nights here. The staff are so friendly and helpful and you get breakfast brought to your room. The only downside that it is up 3 flights of stairs and there is no lift, so if you are not great with stairs then its a no go. Its 2 minutes from St Marks Basoilica and Square so right in the middle of everything. I would recommend it.

Excellent location. Near St. Mark's, restaurants and shopping. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The wifi worked well. There are quite a few stairs to climb to get to the hotel. The room was small, but clean and quiet at night.

No self serve laundry

Location was perfect but the hotel doesn’t have an elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. Also, I specifically chose this hotel because it claim to have self service laundry. It does not!! So I could have save $40/night if I chose another hotel without laundry service.

Disappointed...to say the least.

I begin by saying that I rarely give the lowest scores available, but I had to make an exception this time. This is not a hotel, nor a B&B, it's a room in a building, that has no elevator, in a dark alley in the heart of Venice. Yes, I admit if you want to be steps from St.Mark's square this is the place for you... sort of. The staff is friendly, I got nothing wrong to say about them, but they are available for limited hours, then you are on your own. I wasn't able to turn the tv set on the first day, so I had to wait until the next morning. The \"hotel\" has no common areas, you eat your breakfast on a tiny table inside your room. Furniture is outdated and cheap. The bathroom was ok, but my shower head was loose and kept falling down. I could add a few more things, but I prefer to stop here, I think I made myself clear already. This is not a place I would recommend to a friend, maybe to an enemy, but not to a friend.

Great location: 1 min from St Marco square and 3min from Rialto bridge. But...

The actual service from the hotel employees was great. The hotel does need to be updated. The rooms do not have air conditioning, regardless we were there in October, it was still,uncomfortable to sleep without air conditioning. The rooms also give the impression of not being to clean, having said this, it could be because it does need some TLC(tender loving care). The area is ok. Close to San Marco, close to restaurants, shopping, not far from the water transportation, etc. The continental breakfast is good.One more thing, if you have difficulty climbing stairs, this is not the hotel for you.

The hotel was in an excellent location just 2 minutes walk to St Mark's Square. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming and extremely helpful with our request for a travel adaptor!! The room was clean and spacious and had all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was fabulous, continental style and the staff were very kind in leaving something for us ready for a very early morning departure on our last day. Overall our stay was fantastic and I would highly recommend the Locanda Casa Sol Mulo and would not hesitate to stay there again should we ever visit Venice again in the future.

Nice and friendly Italian hotel.

Vame late at night after the desk was closed.That was no problem. We were buzzed in and waitng at the desk were our room keys with a welcome letter with instructions for the hotel. Breakfast was included with the best brioche I have had in Italy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to St. Mark's Basilica and boats. Short walk to the Rialto Bridge. The hotel is tucked away in a narrow walkway so a little tricky to find at first. I would stay there again

Great location! 30min walk from station (follow signs to Rialto then San Marco, easy peasy) very friendly staff, nice welcome. Stayed in triple room. Decent size. Stairs in the hotel were tiring so be prepared to walk up a lot of stairs!! Next to a church that rings their bell at midnight but isnt too loud. Narrow streets can echo voices during the night. Room comes with aircon, cable tv and mini fridge... breakfast include croissants, bread, drink of your choice and juice and yoghurt. More than enough! Overall really enjoyed our stay. Grazie!

Easy access from St. Mark's square and not far from the water transport system. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was brought to our room in the morning, a selection of pastries, coffee, and hot chocolate. There is no elevator so plan to walk up to the 3rd floor. Not a big deal for us but might be a challenge for some, especially with luggage. Also, we carried our luggage through town ourselves and apparently the square routinely floods in the late morning so we had to maneuver the long way around to avoid walking through 6 inches of water while rolling luggage behind us. There are people at the boats who will put your luggage on a cart and roll it to your hotel, not sure the cost but worth it if you arrive during the high tide!

Coming from the Hotel School of Lausanne in Switzerland, this is what I can say: Nice hotel very close to piazza San Marco making it very useful. Perfect location to all different activities in Venice. Staff is flexible & kind, we had an issue with the shower head which was loose, the staff fixed it immediately. Breakfast is very good as well!

Fabulous staff at this hotel!

The staff were extraordinarily kind and helpful. They helped me with suggestions, reservations and directions to all of the wonderful places to visit. They seemed genuinely concerned that I had a good stay. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. I only wish you had an elevator but even so, the staff helped me bring my luggage up to my room which was greatly appreciated.

Quaint little bed & breakfast stay, with wonderful staff and good location. However, there are 4 flights of stairs to climb, no elevator. We knew this before we booked, and it worked out ok for us, but it may not work for some. We fortunately traveled light and hauling luggage up and down the stairs wasn't too much of a problem.

Really great little hotel right near San Marco Piazza. Hotel sent clear directions (a must for Venice!). Breakfast served to the room each morning was good and needed for the day. Good staff, very clean room with mini fridge. Staff would clean room and put air con on for us for when we got home. Great stay!

Wonderful stay

Awesome position 100m from St Marks, right in the heart of Venice. The staff were very friendly and helpful although they are not always on site so if you get a problem it can be tricky to get resolved quickly. The room was quite small as was the bathroom but if all you need to do is rest your weary head then this is the perfect place. Breakfast is in your room, basic and continental, and starts at 8:30am which was a bit late for us as some days we wanted to be out much earlier.
The only way to improve on this place is to pay 10 times the price - with what you save you can eat in San Marco, well almost !!

A good hotel.
The stairs are difficult and would challenge anyone with heavy luggage, two flights to check in and one to bedroom, no elevator. If this isn't a worry then the location is good. A few minutes from St Peters. Large clean bedroom, good shower, breakfast which is adequate is served to you in the room. Nice staff.

The location is excellent, it's in the heart of venise! The rooms are very clean but the only problem with this place is that it's on the 3rd floor, there's a lot of stairs and no elevator so we had to carry our luggages all the way to the 3rd floor! Make sure you're traveling light or book somewhere else!

1 night in Venice isn't enough!

Unfortunately we were in Venice only 1 night but Casa Sul Molo was a nice choice. It was a bit difficult to find so a good landmark to look for is that it is near the Ferrari gift shop. No elevator and the stairs are steep so be prepared for a bit of cardio work. The lady at reception was very helpful and made some good suggestions for our short stay. In the morning, she brought up a tray to our room with coffee, pastries and yogurts (seems to be the typical breakfast in Italy) We feel it was a good choice.

Our stay in Venice

I knew I was booking a hotel near St. Marks, but Easter weekend was not a good time to that close to the plaza. That was our fault for not looking into the customs of the location and considering spring holidays. The fact that you had to climb three floors to get the reception area was not made clear and was a shock as I have a problem with walking and stairs. Another issue was that the staff when we arrived was the chamber maid and she was uninformed. The next day however we met the chamber maid that was most helpful about everything, porters to the transport, yes our bill was prepaid, and when my husband did not feel well and wanted to stay in the room she got clean towels and we put the breakfast tray outside the room. I would say if you wanted to close to the plaza and the canals it was great. I think if I were younger not a problem. It is however not a room for three people. We only had two nights any longer what have created serious space issues. I saw the room, but it did not show the full space limitations for three people.

Hotel Surprise!!

The Internet presentation is misleading. Although the hotel web site mentions \"no elevator\" it does not mention that the Lobby is 50 steps up from the street! And, our room was 45 steps above the \"lobby\" (which was no larger than a closet). That's 95 steps, straight up a narrow stairway above the street. The staff (a teenage girl) did carry our luggage to our room. The room was claustrophobic. Breakfast consisted of a hard, cold, roll and the coffee was cold too. We did get juice....wow!

The hotel misleads with the photos and we know that can happen. But 95 steps from the street is unacceptable except for the person who is in shape and can deal with a tiny room that was as high as the church bells we saw out our bedroom window.

I had to cancel my holiday 3 weeks before staying at Venice Casa Sul Molo. I attempted to cancel with Casa Sul Molo and was unable to get any refund at all. I feel when given plenty of notice to cancel it should be standard to refund you. Be aware that you will loose you money if you cancel.

Fantastic location, but big walk up

I found the staff to be excellent, the location to be amazing, and the room to be better than I could have hoped.

I didn't fully read reviews to be prepared for the big walk up as it is on the 3rd floor. It is good to be prepared for that with heavy suitcases.

I would stay here again if I wanted to be near Rialto and San Marco, but I might stick closer to the train and bus stations in the future for convenience.

Out of my window was a beautiful church. Rialto is not far, and San Marco is about a block.

Breakfast is the standard carbs and carbs, bread and sugar, but the yogurt, juice, and cappuccino made it enjoyable for us. The shower is getting to be absurdly small, but useable for me (a 6' 4\", 250 lb man), and the rest of the bathroom was roomy with bidet. The room was big with tv, desk, big bed (two beds pushed together), breakfast table w/chairs, closet, and a futon chair that folds into another bed.

You have control over the temperature.

The windows and shutters can cut out almost all of the noise from the streets, but the streets aren't very noisy after 10 really.

Very Nice Small Hotel Near Piazza San Marco

My family and I wanted a small convenient hotel while we spent the night in Venice. By chance, we chose this hotel due to its location and price. I am happy to say that we were very satisfied with the stay. The hotel reception notified us through email that the desk closes at 19h00 and gladly worked with us since we arrived late in the evening. The hotel was clean, small and very cute, perfect for what we were looking for, nothing big. And the bathroom was clean and modern. We wanted to get the feel of Venice and Venetians, and got it. Just 1 minute away was Piazza San Marco and Grande Canale. In the morning, we met some of the staff, who were very nice, and received a nice breakfast in our room for everyone. It was a large, delicious breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those looking to spend some time in Venice without the commercial distractions. Word of caution though: it is a little tricky to find the hotel your first time in Venice :) But that's what Venice is all about: a labyrinth of streets and canals.

Nice little bed and breakfast , 5 mins walk into St.Marks square. Good value for money. Room was comfortable , nice shower. There was a kettle in the room so one could make tea, which is first time we have seen that in Italy.

Perfect stay, the room was big and with all the comfort. The location is amazing, close to the famous Piazza San Marco and Rialto Bridge.

Péssima! Pior hotel que fiquei na minha vida, se é que posso chamar aquilo de hotel. Quarto horrível, tudo velho, chão range, camas duras e desconfortáveis, banheiro com box minúsculo, café da manhã simplesmente incomível! Nunca se hóspede! E pra completar 4 andares de escada sem elevador e a única pessoa que está no check out e grosseira e incapaz de prestar qq ajuda!

Excelente ubicación. Solo que para llegar es complicado ya que en Venecia las calles no estan identificadas en Google Maps. Pesado para personas con maletas porque debes subir 4 NIVELES. Deben indicarlo en la descripción del establecimiento.

Ho prenotato questo affittacamere per 2 notti per il carnevale, e sono rimasto piacevolmente soddisfatto!
● Ottima Posizione: a pochi passi da Piazza San Marco e a pochi minuti dal Ponte di Rialto. Visitare Venezia da qui è molto comodo
● Ottima Camera: spaziosa, pulita e comoda. Niente moquette (che io odio), ben riscaldata e ben arredata. Non troppo silenziosa, ma comunque accettabile l'insonorizzazione.
● Buona Colazione: la colazione viene servita in camera con la scelta delle bevande; non troppo varia e assenza (o quasi) del salato, di mio gradimento tutto quello servito, ma si può migliorare.
— Senza Ascensore: ci sono 3 piani (+1 se si ha la camera al piano superiore) di scale senza ascensore, in caso di difficoltà fisiche è assolutamente sconsigliato!
*** Struttura consigliata e a mio parere per il carnevale 114 euro a notte per una camera doppia con colazione inclusa, mi è sembrato un prezzo buono calcolata la posizione e il servizio offerto per il periodo!
