We stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special — every single person we encountered was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuine. You can tell they take great pride in creating a welcoming, luxurious atmosphere.

The hotel itself is stunning — beautifully designed, with breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast that we’ll never forget. We spent many evenings relaxing on our terrace, taking in the scenery with a cocktail in hand (the drinks were amazing — expertly made and creative!). The food was equally wonderful — fresh, flavorful, and elegantly presented.

One of the biggest perks was the complimentary shuttle service to both Praiano and Positano, which made exploring the area so easy and stress-free. We loved being tucked away in such a peaceful location but still just a short ride from everything.

Every detail of our stay felt thoughtful and personal. This hotel truly exceeded every expectation and made our honeymoon unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back one day!

A piece of paradise

The staff at the hotel goes far and beyond to accommodate ones requests and to get you as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The people at the Bar and Restaurant are just awesome and make you feel at home. Make sure to take advantage of their shuttle and visit Positano and Praiano. Thanks to Maria, Laura, Chef Pietro, Placido, Lucca, and the rest of the team for such a special vacation and making me and my wife feel at home. Truly a little piece of paradise.

This was a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place to stay! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and clearly took pride in their hotel and providing excellent service. Breakfast was perfect, and the view from the breakfast terrace was incredible. While the room furniture was a little bit dated, the size, comfort and most importantly the terrace of our room - perfection. Staff went out of the way to help with room comfort, transfers, luggage, and making our stay wonderful. If you are looking for a night out in Positano nearby, keep in mind that once hotel shuttles are no longer running (after 8pm), taxis from Positano were between 35 and 50 Euros depending on the time of night (even after 10pm when the drive took less than 10 minutes)!! This wasn’t any fault of the hotel, just helpful to know if you are planning some night life in Positano. We went to hike the Path of the Gods on our checkout day, and the hotel arranged rides and hooked us up with fantastic drivers/guides. It was a great launch point for seeing the Amalfi Coast. Would recommend!! Thank you Picollo!!

Excellent full service hotel with a secluded feel away from the hustle and bustle. There are only a few rooms but the amenities are plentiful - full bar, pool and spa, restaurant and an outdoor workout room with a view. The staff was very attentive to our every need for the 4 night stay. Our favorites were the spritz we enjoyed nightly. Views of both Paraino and Positano are magnificent. We will surely return to this wonderful property.

This is an authentic 6-star hotel with beautiful rooms, views, restaurant, housekeeping and all around staff.
I loved the outdoor shower on the terrace and used it every chance that I got.
The lobby desk staff would easily arrange any day trip that you wanted to take and insure that everything was primo!
The shuttle service was incredible with very experience and careful drivers.
The views from everyplace all around the hotel are magnificent.
Dinner there was impeccable with super attentive staff.
The breakfasts were gratis with a wide selection of items: pastries, pies, scrambled eggs with bacon, all sorts of cheeses with Italian meats, sausages, little crispy potato cakes, melon, pineapple, bananas and all sorts of coffee (I'm sure that there are things that I may have forgotten).
My wife said that the spa was really great!
The pool is lovely so, don't forget your swimsuits.
You shouldn't expect to walk up to the road and walk around the street because there aren't really any sidewalks, of course some people do.
The is a safe in the room but I don't think that you should be concerned because strangers will not be getting in to this wonderful hotel.
The bathroom has been stocked with all the amenities that one can possibly think of (even a special liquid soap to use at the bidet, I have never felt so clean, LOL).
IMHO, I can say, without a doubt, that you will love your stay and yearn for the day that you can return.

Beautiful hotel with great service. The food was very good, we loved the outdoor gym and views were amazing. The lush gardens surrounding were so pretty. We booked the couples massage which was ok, not great. They made great cocktails, our room was very nice and bed super comfy. Be careful with garden view if you are showering outside as people often walk by and can see down. Overall very happy here!!

The hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the coast and Positano which is visible from different areas of the hotel and room. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, who were all very nice and helpful. The free shuttle service to and from the hotel and local towns was very helpful as travel and parking are difficult.
A few things would improve the rating of the hotel: Updating the bathroom suite as these are quite dated and tired looking and having an indoor shower too for the evening to prevent insect bites. Ant killer, as there was a lot of them inside and found their way into the bed too.

We loved our stay at this property. The host was very informed of our visit to the point that i didnt even need to give them my name when we arrived. I was quite disappointed that the staff didnt know how to fill up the jacuzzi and then once they worked it out and it did fill up the lights in it attracted flying insects to the water so we couldnt use it anyway and ruined our plans for the night. My suggestion to the hotel would be to put up some sort of screening so the bugs cant get in that area if they are common.

Best Views and service in Amalfi.

Breathtaking views are all we needed but we received so much more. The service and the food were outstanding. I can’t say enough. Stay here away from the crowds of Positano and Amalfi. Use the shuttle but stay here and enjoy this gem.

Fantastic location and the best service and staff.

Staying on the amalfi coast isn't cheap and if you are going to spend the money you expect the best

The Piccolo Saint Andrea is an amazing hotel with fantastic views over Positano and Praiano. The staff looked after us from the moment we arrived and we always felt like they really cared about making sure we had everything we wanted.

The hotel location is perfect to explore although driving the roads is not for the faint hearted. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle to the nearby towns and will happily help you find drivers or trips to places further away...we used this to visit Vesuvius, Pompeii and the town of Amalfi.

The food for both breakfast and dinner was first class and there are lots of other restaurants in the surrounding area.

Given the price there are a few things I feel the hotel could improve on:

- the rooms are nice and spacious...but need more furniture. We were there for 10 days and the hanging space was probably enough for 3 or 4...no drawers or cupboards.
- water is only avaliable to buy...i feel a luxury hotel such as this should provide a small bottle per guest in the room each day

- some of the fixtures such as the shower were quite cheap and out of place...and the room lacked plug sockets

- the restaurant menu was the same every night...although kindly the staff made my fiancee special vegetarian dishes

I would stay again...just because of the amazing location and brilliant staff. Thank you!

We had a perfect stay! We would not hesitate to suggest this hotel to friends and family nor stay again when on the Amalfi Coast. The view from our room was breathtaking, the staff were welcoming and so kind, and the restaurant was the best we ate at during our vacation! We had dinner here twice and the chef is top notch! We liked it better than the top rated restaurants in Positano that we paid 3 times the amount to eat at.

We arrived in the evening after travelling from Relais and chateau Caesar Augustus in Ana Capris. We had rented 2 rooms for nearly the same price as the previous hotel which was truly spectacular. Theodora and Samuel at reception were very unfriendly and made a joke about how they didn’t know who we were, we asked about dinner options and they advised if we left the hotel there would be no way to get home. They also said there were no restaurants for pizza and pasta. The hotel is practically in the middle of no where and the car service does not operate after 7.30pm. We took a chance and left and found a restaurant and the lovely people in the town helped us with some numbers of cab companies to get home, I think a 5 star property should have a service to get its guests to and from the restaurants especially being located in the middle of no where. The actual property is lovely and the staff was overall very nice but this is by no means 5 star service. If you want to go somewhere and be a prisoner there this place is for you!

Stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights, second week of October. The hotel is halfway between Positano and Priano. The Hotel is beautiful, and staff are super friendly. The indoor pool is absolutely beautiful and also has a spa. The hotel restaurant has some amazing food. It's a very romantic hotel setting, not for a family vacation. It is about a 10minute car ride to Positano. The shuttle service was great when we were there, not sure how they would manage if the hotel was very busy. If not its a 40 euro taxi ride each way - to Positano. Need to consider this if you are not planning eating every night at the hotel restaurant.

They claim they have a fitness center but it’s a broken treadmill and a jump rope. That was the disappointing part.

Make sure you get what you paid for

The location is great.
The views are stunning from all angles.
The building, food and customer service (for the most part) are premium and top notch.
The driver Antonio is the best person ever!

The only thing that took away from the experience was that they did not make us aware that the outdoor pool was unavailable during our stay (because this is a UNESCO site, they must rebuild the pool each year for the summer high season). We checked in May 29th and the pool was still not ready. On top of that, they were doing construction on this season's pool all throughout our stay and right outside our $1200 CAD/nt suite each day until 7pm at night making noise and shouting back and forth making it impossible to relax and enjoy the beautiful views from the large seascape patio that we paid for. When paying these kinds of prices, normal for Amalfi, you'd expect to get everything that's advertised in the pictures. It's not the hotels fault that they didn't have the outdoor (facing the coast) pool ready in time for our stay, but some notice of the fact would have allowed us to be less disappointed before arrival. To add insult to injury, the noise of construction works until late into the evening really made it tough to not leave this review. If you decide to stay here make sure to confirm with the hotel if both pools are available before your planned arrival.

The suite with extra size Terrasse was beautiful however the cleaning was not spotless. We found several hair in the bathroom and bed which probably came from the cleaning staff nur for 900€ a night we expected a bit more.

The property is absolutely beautiful. It is well situated between Praiano and Positano and with the free shuttle service it was easy to get to each town and be picked up when requested. It is quiet (only 27 rooms) but has all the ammenities we were looking for including an inside and outside pool. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Do not stay at this property! It’s so overpriced. It’s not a 5 star hotel. The hotel is so overpriced that it was difficult to enjoy. Huge mistake to stay there for $2,000 a night I expected to be treated like royalty and have the best experience. Rough linens on the bed, uncomfortable bed. No small room for our son. It was one giant room instead. The AC barely makes the room cold. I would not stay here again. This hotel is ripping off Americans who are paying way too much to stay there. Small pool, no towels at the pool. No staff to wait on you at the pool. The owners are always around but they don’t really act hospitable.

Overall hotel was ok but the cost benefit compared to others at the same price point is lower. Also know that there is no indoor shower in the rooms, just a jacuzzi with a shower head good for rinsing while sitting in the tub. There is an outdoor shower on the balcony but visible to outsiders.

Ive stayed at hundreds of 5 star hotels and this hotel was one o the nicest hotels ive ever stayed at. The service was flawless and truly 5 stars in every aspect. They were attentive to our 6 year old twins and all of our needs throughout our stay. Coming from nyc our food expectations are very high and we had some of the best meals at the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner. The included breakfast felt like we were at a michelin star restaurant. The views were also incredible and our room had a panoramic view of the entire coast. The free shuttle to the different parts of the Amalfi coast was also so convenient and a huge plus for our family.

Stunning hotel with amazing views of the coast! Great staff! Good breakfast. Nice pool overlooking the beautiful coast! Only small change I would make is adding a mattress pad to the bed as it was quite firm. Otherwise, this place is perfect!

After much deliberation we decided to book hotel piccolo for our honeymoon. We were wary it was outside of positano with few online reviews as its new.
On arrival we were stunned by the scenery and proximaty to positano (5-7 mins drive away).
We had our luggage escorted to a small cliffside building with a lift. The lift went down to the reception area which was sea side looking out to praiano and posatino. We were seated in the lounge and given complimentary drinks on arrival. This 5 star treatment continued throughout the stay.
Shortly after we were escorted to our room 2 floors down the coast/cliff. The room looked even better than the photos, everything was good quality and virtually new. We had a garden attached to the room with a dinner table, bench and outdoor shower.
The rest of the hotel was just as clean and tidy. The bar, restaurant, indoor and outdoor pool in particular.
As its a small hotel, the indoor pool was often available just for us which was amazing.
Staff were on hand day and night to assist.
A huge bonus was the car service to positano and praiano. We used this around 15 times during our stay, which was really convenient, and also saved us hundreds on taxi fares.
Breakfast and lunch were great. Dinner was pricey but we decided to eat out in one of the many hundreds of restaurants in the area on most nights.
We also booked his & her spa session which was amazing.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful.
Easily the best hotel we've stayed at!

We loved this Hotel!! The views, the staff, the rooms, the oudoor showers, the food, .... all was wonderful!!!!! New hotel... best kept secret! Away from the crowds of Positano and Amalfi, but right in the middle of the two, along the cliff, right off the main road! Free parking, free shuttles to beaches.... 5 star!

The overall hotel has potential to be a 5 Star hotel. The lack of service plus understanding what the hotel had to offer was really not explained plus the hotel restaurant is really overpriced for the experience. We paid a $20 Euro delivery surcharge for a $50 Euro dinner for 1.

The rooms are great but the attention to detail is really underwhelming

I would recommend this hotel is you are paying in the range of $200 - $300 Euro a night but definatly not the service of a high end $300+ property

My husband and I just spent three wonderful nights at this hotel. The staff and service are absolutely five star from the moment you check in to the moment you leave. They are working hard to enhance your experience. If that were not enough, you get the most beautiful views from every perspective - the lobby where you are welcomed with a drink upon your arrival, the restaurant terrace where they serve a delightful buffet breakfast, and the spacious rooms featuring views of their own. The hotel shuttle runs on a 2-hour interval and will take you to either Positano or Praiano, both a short drive away. Very highly recommended.
