We had a great time during our stay here! A few things that would have made it exceptional would have been; a better Ac unit in the room, better quality food at the buffet, and scheduled room cleaning. To start the ac unit did work in our room just not very well. We had a hard time cooling the room off enough to sleep. Most nights we slept with no blankets due to poor cooling. The buffet has a ton of options but most isn’t worth trying. With the exception of some basic options I’d recommend sticking to the other restaurants which had great food. The last thing that would have been icing in the cake is schedule room cleaning because several times we would come back to the room being cleaned or they hadn’t been yet so we didn’t feel comfortable staying in our room. I only had one person from the staff I didn’t care for. Every other person went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience. The beach was full of seaweed but not much could be done about that. The pool was great but there’s only two small pools for the whole family side which at times felt crowded. The views are excellent and we enjoyed being on the top floor with roof jacuzzi. Overall a very fun experience.

El hotel está bien para su precio, pero deja mucho que desear en temas de servicio. Particularmente el personal de recepción atiende de manera muy antipática, sin ganas de darle la bienvenida a los huéspedes, dejando una pésima primera impresión. No nos explicaron prácticamente nada del lugar: horarios, restaurantes, actividades, la app, etc. Tuvimos nosotros que preguntar todo para obtener la información. Nos atendieron tres personas diferentes en recepción y pareciera que a todos les indican hablar sin ganas. Además, se siente una marcada diferencia en el trato hacia los mexicanos comparado con los extranjeros y los huéspedes del \"Elegance Club\" en todos lados menos en los restaurantes.

A las instalaciones les hace falta mantenimiento y limpieza. Los elevadores tienen dañados los botones y en las habitaciones muy pocos de los enchufes funcionan.

La mejor comida la encuentras en el restaurante buffet Flavors, los restaurantes de especialidad no tienen nada de especial en cuanto a los platillos aunque sí están decorados de acuerdo a la temática.

Mi esposa y yo estábamos celebrando nuestro primer aniversario, cosa que confirmamos tanto en el pre check in como en el check in cuando nos preguntaron. Sin embargo, resulta extraño que te pregunten si celebran una ocasión especial y no te dejen un detalle en la habitación. No fue sino hasta contactar con Kristel de Guest Services para explicarle lo sucedido que ella organizó el detalle para nuestra tercera noche.

Plus- Bartenders Erik and Giovanni were great. Room was clean and spacious with nice amenities. Beach and Club pool were nice and well maintained with attentive friendly staff.

Minus- For some reason on a couple occasions restaurants would not seat us outside when tables were available. This was not a kitchen management issue because inside seating was available immediately. Check in was a bit clunky with a long wait for a \"butler\" to escort us to our Club room.

The hotel was very quiet. We think its because it caters to conventions and weddings. Our big important item is food and unfortunately we were very disappointed. So much so, that we actually checked out after 3-days and chose a different resort. Our room was only cleaned once in the 3-days we were there as well. The deal breaker was a snake in our swim up tub outside. (terrified of snakes). Overall I was not impressed with this resort

The hotel is very clean and the grounds are impeccable. The staff is always available and happy to help. The restaurants are excellent and the rooms are a great size. I really liked that the room had two washrooms, a sofa bed, and a Murphy bed, which worked perfectly for a family of four.

The spa is absolutely gorgeous, especially the cenote cave. It was such an unbelievable experience and definitely my favorite part of the stay.

The only downside is that there is no music on the beach, so it felt like it was missing a bit of atmosphere. We were also traveling with kids and teenagers, and they were quite bored since there wasn’t much for them to do.

The pool area was also oddly designed and didn’t really feel like a main pool where people gather. The layout and access in and out of the pool were not very convenient, which made the experience a bit disappointing.

This was our second trip to Majestic Elegance and we loved it! The staff is very nice and accommodating and the grounds and food are fantastic! I wish they would have allowed us just to walk over and see the Mirage, but they wouldn’t even let us scope it out for future trips. Overall, we enjoyed all the restaurants and entertainment and had a wonderful stay!

This resort is beautiful, the rooms, the pools, the architecture stunning. Service staff are all very friendly and accommodating. There were entertainment options throughout the day and night so we were never bored. You can also book excursions at their office near the lobby. Very convenient. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Some little things I noticed that can be improved on.

There seemed to be a shortage of towels. The maid would clean and replace some towels but then hand towels she wouldn’t replace. Just inconsistency there.

The food was super salty at Asadito. We definitely mentioned it to the staff but it seems like someone was heavy handed with the salt. Never ate there again.

At the Mar House buffet, the labels for the food are jumbled up and not always clear so you don’t know what you’re eating sometimes or have to ask the staff. My boyfriend has a shellfish allergy so that was concerning.

Amazing stay, the staff were incredible and friendly. The room was very clean and up to date, we had the hot tub room and our butler Melissa set it up nightly for us. Melissa made our trip 5x times better, anything we could ever ask for she had ready for us. The pool area was never crowded and we never had trouble finding a shaded seat at the beach. This was our first time at majestic elegance and we will definitely be coming back.

Excellent service! Staff are very attentive and friendly - Genuinely doing their best to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Food at the buffet was pretty good, but not outstanding. Lots of healthy options! Restaurant food was slightly better depending on what you order. The property is beautiful! Love the lobby bars. There are no hot tubs on site, so can’t relax with friends which was a shame. But bedroom jacuzzi sort of makes up for it. The pool water temperature was a bit too cold for me, especially when the sun isn’t out (visited Feb 2026). Beach is absolutely breathtaking!! loved every second of it. Loved the long stretch of beach for long walks and to watch the sunrise. Plenty of lounge chairs and spots for shade. The adults only section coupled with family friendly resort makes it a perfect resort for group bookings. Would love to come back!

Just got back yesterday after a full week here. We won’t return. For the same price point, there are other resorts that offer a better overall experience and stronger service.

Beach: The beach is the highlight. Soft white sand, beautiful water, but chairs fill up fast so we had to claim spots before breakfast. Big downside: no bathrooms on the beach. You have to walk back up to the hotel area and there are only a couple available.

Pools: No main “hub” pool. The pools are small, scattered, not heated, and many are tied to swim-out rooms, so lounging nearby felt awkward. We really missed one large pool to relax at.

Food: Solid 8/10. We tried every restaurant—favorites were the steakhouse and the French bistro. Elegance Club gives you snacks/coffee/drinks closer to the beach, but it wasn’t a game-changer.

Noise: We were in Building 3 by the theater and it was loud nightly until 10:30–11:00. Even with earplugs, it was hard to fall asleep. Request a room away from the theater.

Upgrade/Service: We upgraded to adult-only Elegance Club and didn’t see enough added value beyond location and nearby snacks/drinks. Biggest issue was service: many staff seemed unhappy and pushy about tips. Most concerning, our butler was found inside our room without any request or reason, then after tipping him we had no butler support our last two days. Unacceptable.

Bottom line: Great beach and good food, but the layout, noise, and service issues made it underwhelming.

I had an amazing experience at this resort from start to finish. The property was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxing the entire time. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of — everyone was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the food and drinks were excellent with plenty of options. There were lots of activities to enjoy, but it was also the perfect place to just relax and unwind. Just returned from a beautiful vacation at the Majestic Elegance at Costa Mujeres!

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this resort, and there's a reason I keep coming back. The customer service and hospitality are 20/10. Our Guest Ambassador, Krystel treated us like family and continued to make our stay beyond memorable. We LOVE her!!

Some staff that really stood out to us were Barbara, Angel, Juan (the BEST server i've ever had) and Sandoval, Alvero the Chef was incredible. Food was truly amazing. the staff really go out of their way for your comfort. The spa was incredible as well. I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone at this resort. See you very soon!!!

We were returning guests and also visiting to celebrate our honeymoon. The hotel is very nice but very expensive at the same time.

We were mostly disappointed with the honeymoon package. Other than spa access, we did not really receive anything meaningful from it. We arrived on December 25th, and the hotel was about half empty. I had messaged the hotel in advance to inform them of our arrival and to ask if the room could be ready, but it was not. We were only able to check in around 3:00 PM because no one was occupying the room yet there was no honeymoon setup at all. I even had to ask them to place a honeymoon banner on the door.

The lady at check-in was not very welcoming and unfortunately refused almost everything we were told we were entitled to as honeymoon guests. This made the first impression quite disappointing, especially for such a special occasion.

We also upgraded our room and paid $2,200 for the upgrade. According to the hotel website, we should have been eligible for a complimentary upgrade to the next category, but at check-in we were told we had to pay extra. Early check-in and late check-out should honestly be removed from the honeymoon package description there is never availability.

The romantic breakfast included in the honeymoon package was also underwhelming. It was just a regular room service breakfast not a floating breakfast or anything special. This is something any guest can order any day, so it didn’t feel like a honeymoon benefit at all.

In the evening it was very cold in the room and the hotel can offer me only a comforter. The only person who is working and really good is our butler name Katia. We were very pleased with our stay. It is unlike any all-inclusive we’ve been to. The property and rooms are extremely clean, the food is top-notch, and the staff go above and beyond. Special mention to Francisco in the Italian restaurant and Nico on the pool deck for the amazing service and to Jesus for his engaging personality for the poolside activities. The manager of the Mar house, Abdur, went out of his way to ensure our large group had reservations and were always taken care of. The Michael Jackson and Queen show were entertaining and made for fun evenings. We look forward to visiting a Majestic resort again soon!!

We recently stayed at this hotel in Costa Mujeres to celebrate our babymoon and anniversary, and our experience exceeded every expectation. We stayed here in late january. Food was good, staff is fantastic, very pleasant, polite and eager to help. Beach is great, planty of space, clean. Rooms are good. Only pet peave that i personaly have is having a bathroom part of the room. The \"door\" to bathroom and shower are glass with just an illusion of a door. It is tinted, but no otherwise privacy. If you go at night,light in the bathroom lights up full room. Otherwise room was great, clean and fairly new.

The BEST resort in Cancun area. We’ve traveled to the area several times and picked this resort for a second time (after our stay in August) to celebrate our Babymoon. The grounds and rooms are immaculate. We highly recommend upgrading to “The Club” if you’re traveling without children. Our butler Alejandro was beyond kind and accommodating (even without asking for anything). The food is WONDERFUL. The steakhouse, Mexican restaurant, and teppanyaki grill are our favorite dinner spots. The servers Josè (steakhouse) and Felix (Mexican) were awesome and our teppanyaki grill chef (Jorge) was super fun! The buffets were always delicious and clean. Our favorite bar is the Piano Bar in the lobby. You won’t find a kinder bartender than Jonathon. We adore him! Best mango margs and passion fruit mojitos ever! We look forward to going back to see him again someday. And the spa is absolutely PERFECT! Massages were wonderful and the hydrotherapy is a nice experience. Our hydro-helper, Mariela, was such a good vibe - we were thankful to have her calm and accommodating presence for our spa morning. The beach is beautiful and huge. There is seaweed because the ocean is struggling to keep up with the impacts of humankind, but this resort does the best job at keeping it cleaned up. Lastly, shoutout to the photographer, Carlos. He captured a special moment for us.

Do yourself a favor and book this resort! You will not be disappointed and it will surely become a favorite of yours, too.

It was 5 thumbs up all the way around.

Room as clean and well

Staff was amazing
Especially Krystel Pohlez she went above and beyond for the whole time we were there. Made it feel Like home. She made sure that we had everything we needed and made sure we were happy.
We were given extra little treats left in the room.

And our last night more chocolate and peanut squares.
Highly recommend this resort.

Weather for January is a little iffy but it was still beautiful better than Toronto with all the snow.

Daniela and Silva the staff at the funmajestic were amazing. Always made sure we were having fun and made our 7 year old nephew feel very welcomed.

We loved our experience at Costa Mujeres! The food and entertainment were excellent. It’s such a tucked away treasure! The beaches were clean and 1min from our room. There are so many variety of food - French, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, and Argentinian! The bars had HUGE selections and were ALL inclusive! Our bartender Erik made amazing drinks for us and give great recommendations for tequila! He was so passionate about what he does that watching him making drinks was a show on its own. We definitely recommend this resort to anyone! It’s also a 20min sail to Isla Mujeres, which is a lovely island in Mexico. This was one of our excursions!

The resort is very well run. The staff is very friendly, hospitable, and offers fantastic service. Great size, great beach, great everything. The rooms are kept extremly well - if you have do-not-disturb on your room and housekeeping can't get in in the morning, they almost always come back in the afternoon so your room is kept clean and tidy every day. The restaruants and bars have great, delicious selection. Ervin was an amazing butler, and Viktor at the Soothe swim up bar was the best bartender ever.

Service was EXCEPTIONAL, truly felt like my every need or desire was tended to, even beyond any expectations! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The resort itself was immaculately clean and well groomed. Food was above average, especially Asaditos steakhouse (excellent filet). Cleaning services were thorough. I will absolutely be booking another vacation with Majestic.

I gave it 4 stars bcuz the pools were just way too cold to use but the ocean felt great! I just felt like it was a waste of money getting a room with a pool bcuz it was just way to cold to use!!! Our butler was excellent but my sister butler was horrible. Food was ok. Only thing that grossed me out was they reused the plastic cups. They really don’t wash them just dump them and rinse them out. A cold sore ready to happen. Bring your own cups!!! Other than that I enjoyed my vacation

We have been to Cancun many times and we have found our place. This place was incredible, the ease and access to everything was very refreshing. The food delicious, the beach beautiful!!! From check in to check out, everything was absolutely effortless. Whoever runs this establishment knows what guests want. The nightly entertainment was extremely fun. We will definitely be back. We were in the sky view terrace and was worth every extra penny. House keeping inquired about our needs daily along with daily check in texts with Krystel our Expedia rep. (Very helpful). Out of all the wonderful things was the staffs eagerness to help and they seemed to love their jobs. Everyone went out of their way to make our trip extraordinary. I could go on and on about the Majestic elegance and cannot think of one thing that I would change. Well done to all and thank you for an incredible experience!!!! We will be back

The staff was nice but we/I received some improper treatment at the Italian restaurant. Me and my guest took it as racism and disrespect. Very upset about things, but the hotel didn’t do anything to accommodate us. Beware of the racism towards black guests!!!!

We celebrated our anniversary and had a wonderful stay at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres! The restaurants were excellent with a wide variety of food options.

The staff truly made our trip special. Silvia and Ricardo did a great job running fun and engaging pool activities, and Irving was amazing at helping us book activities both on and off the resort, including jet skis and a boat tour. Walter made check-in easy and welcoming, and Christian gave us a great welcome tour when we arrived. The room came with butler services and our butler, Adriana, was the BEST! She provided outstanding service and was very attentive and accommodating!

Overall, an excellent experience with exceptional service.

The resort is a little dated but the grounds were beautiful, and so was the beach. The resort restaurants were conveniently accessible. Love that all walkways are covered. Dining selections were average and could have more options. Overall a nice resort.

Amazing Family Vacation at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres!

My family and I stayed at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres from January 2nd to 9th, and we had an incredible experience.

The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The food was great with lots of variety, and we always found something delicious at every meal. The amenities and overall atmosphere made the entire stay feel special.

The service was outstanding across the board. Every staff member was friendly, attentive, and truly committed to making our stay enjoyable.

I want to give a special shout‑out to our Expedia Ambassador, Krystel, who went above and beyond throughout the week. She checked in regularly, helped us with reservations and questions, and genuinely made sure we were having the best possible vacation. Her support made a huge difference!

We had such a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres to anyone looking for a memorable, stress‑free holiday. We can’t wait to return!

Everything was amazing. We had our wedding here and couldnt have been more pleased. All of our guests loved it aswell! Only issue we has was them not taking allergies seriously. We stated we had allergies eveytime we went to the restaurants and 3 days in a row they served us the things we were allergic to. Other than that, 5/5

We had a wonderful time over Christmas Break. The property went out of it's way to make the holiday special including Santa arriving by Helicopter, decorations everywhere and a foam party.

The staff was wonderful - they made sure we were having a good time and that everybody was having fun. Shout out to Paola & Jesus who the led the super fun aqua zumba classes.

We really enjoyed Flavors & the Bistro and thought the quality of the food was very good.

Everything was perfect, clean rooms , clean hotel, awesome Restaurants and the room servants and Manager for our side of the building RUBI were AWESOME!! We will return and bring more people with us.
My wife and I spent our 25 years anniversary there ,and they helped me out with having a romantic dinner at the beach’s gazebo and bring Mariachi to surprise my wife.🍾👍

We enjoyed everything. We would like to recommend more vegetarian options or Halal food. We only eat Halal meat which made it hard to enjoy the food here. The room service should have more options for vegetarians and more dessert options. Last, we loved the box idea in the rooms where employees drop off anything room service related. We chose this place due to the reviews online - it is a pricey place for what we experienced. The rooms, if you get a one bedroom suite, are awesome for families. The pool was freezing - even when it is hot outside, it was barely tolerable for our kids to get in the pool. The service was so-so - good service when someone came to you, but not always efficient. The gym is big, but it needs a lot more free weights and cleaned better. There was only one rack of free weights. The food is good, but not exceptional. I also feel like all-inclusive isn't really all-inclusive as they try to have you buy wine (at much higher prices than restaurants in the USA) in order to get reservations at the restaurants. The beach is amazing - best part of the trip.
