The rooms need a clean !

The hotel was OK but do be aware the breakfast is very poor so don't expect anything tasty all they had was dried cake coffee & orange, the room had aircon but was very noisy and the room was very basic, I would expect more for the money & the rooms need a clean.

We booked a disabled room for our friend who cannot walk over 6 months ago. No room available when we arrived so he could not wash or go to the toilet! Staff not interested and blamed in on Expedia who we booked with. Staff were rude and uninterested in our predicament. When we got home claimed we lost a key and not paid room tax ??

Second bad experience with Campanile and we will never use them again

I won't return

Room was smoky, by that I mean there are houses very near and they were bbq'ing in their gardens and the smoke was blowing in to my room.
12.90Euro's for a chicken breast fillet in a bun which had curry sauce in it isn't what I waited 40 minutes for.
The bun was almost inedible and the chicken was touch to bite.

The hotel was good barring the lavotory pan which wasn't at all good. Badly soiled + residue from previous guest. Bedding etc excellent comfortable and not expensive good tea and coffee facilities. A bath which isn't common in France , most welcome here.

Brilliant stopover value for money

It does what it says on the box. Brilliant value for money for a transit stopover. Perhaps you wouldn't want to stay here if you had a week's business in the area, but if you are just passing through, and want a great value stop, this is the place. Clean, comfortable, small room (of course), decent restaurant for dinner and breakfast, nice people. Unlikely you can find all thiselsewhere at 50 Euros.

One-night stopover

Since last using the Campanile group these hotels have had a makeover to a less fussy modern style, although the rooms are the same. I was very comfortable and everything I needed was available. As it was a Sunday in March the hotel was very quiet but the staff were pleasant and helpful. I was a little disappointed with the food but you get what you pay for I guess. It was adequate for a one-night stopover.

Stayed there one night during a weekend visting Lac du Der. The room was basic but very clean. The only minor issue was that the walls were very thin, so ear plugs are recommended.
Dinner choice was limited but the breakfast was rather nice.
Can't fault the place for the price paid. Would return for a stopover.

Lovely quiet motel

Had a great couple of days here using it as a cycling base. Traffic cycle lanes were a few hundred metres away and not so far from the town centre. Handy Lidl within walking distance. Room was basic but had towels, soap, free wifi and excellent shower. Hotel staff English was rudimentary, but then so is my French so we managed. Close to main road network - ideal.

Functional motel with good food

Restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced - with a great salad and tasty desert buffet bar from which you could take as much as you liked. Rooms are nice. My only qualm is that it was a bit cold and the small electric blow heater wasn't quite enough. The duvet was rather thin as were the pillows. The bedding didn't match the snow white fat puffy duvet in the online advert.

I ordered and paid for a non smoking triple room. I received a small double room, that stank of smoking. The double bed only fitted against the wall, thus one person had to climb over the other to use the toilet. The third bed was a put up bed, the put up bed had to be wedged in between the foot of the main bed and the counter carrying the tv, if it went in any other place it was not possible to use the toilet. A lot of black mould around the bath and the hair dryer didn't work. We had a meal my wife had a cheese platter which they were not able to provide at the same time as the hot meals. I had a chicken fillet which was warm at one end and ice cold at the other, it was obviously incorrectly warmed from frozen in a microwave, I complained to the waitress as soon as I noticed but nothing happened, I then spoke to the manager who informed me that it was my fault for not eating it fast enough.

Ideal if passing through, good local amenities.

Satnav took me to the hotel, but it was down a street where the hotel had clearly blocked off its entrance to avoid becoming a rat run, but was easy enough to figure out how to get to the front from another angle.

The staff were friendly, efficient and spoke excellent english.

The room was one of a typical town motel. Nothing out of the ordinary, and appeared to be grubby although it was very clean and well stocked, it was just the dated feel of the room.

The area was industrial, but no noise in the evening, unexpectedly this provided a good number of places to choose to eat without having to try to discover the town centre after a long drive. Supermarket within a minutes drive also, with cheap petrol station.

The hotel does have a restaurant on site with a good selection of food available on the menu at avergae prices, although I did not choose to eat there, it appeared clean and pleasant.

A decent place to stay, dated but ideal for one night if passing through on the way to elsewhere. I wouldnt wish to stay for more than a night.

Campanile Saint-Dizier

We found the hotel very good value. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless . It is in a residential area which meant it was quiet - just what we needed after a long day travelling. The restaurant served a buffet which was most varied and delicious. We would recommend a buffet and dessert meal. It is excellent value and quite innovative. We didn't stay for breakfast as we had to leave early so no comment can be offered on it.

C est beaucoup trop bruyant et mal insonorisé.
On entend les avions jusqu'au 23h30, les camions une partie de la nuit et les voisins de chambre.
De plus la chambre est vetuste.

j'ai passé deux nuits dans cet hôtel, aspect vieillot, pas de climatisation, donc deux nuits horrible où je n'ai pas pu dormir, le bruit venant d'une maison voisine ( rire et bavardage) très proche de l'hôtel, j'ai trouvé un cafard qui circulait sur mon gobelet dans lequel je me me servais pour me rincer la bouche. Des clients mécontents qui parlaient fort devant ma chambre....

Hôtel pas adapté en cas de canicule, pas de climatisation, ni ventilateur, pas moyen de dormir avec cette chaleur,de plus j ai eu la surprise en revenant le soir dans ma chambre de trouver un cafard sur mon gobelet qui me servait à me laver les dents.
Le personnel lui est très bien.
Préparation d un petit déjeuner avant l heure prévu mais sans boissons, et il n y a rien dans la chambre pour se faire un café.

L’Hôtel est un ex-Campanile, un peu vieillot dans l'aspect.
Les chambres venaient d'être repeintes, donc avec une belle odeur de peinture dans la chambre.
Le soucis majeur de cet hôtel était le bruit : des voyageurs qui discutent sur les passerelles en mettant la musique très fort, le voisin de chambre qui a la porte de ses WC qui grince, les disputes ou autres discussions élevées que l'on entend très bien à travers les murs en \"papier\".
Tout cela n'enlève rien au confort du lit et à la propreté des chambres (merci Virginie) qui est impeccable.
Concernant l'accueil, on a vu mieux mais cela reste correct.
Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très suffisant.
Et enfin, les places de parking qui restent très étroites : attention aux possesseurs de grosses voitures...

La pire expérience dans un hôtel de ma vie

L’accueil a été peu agréable.
la 1ere personne a essayé de nous vendre un petit déjeuner sans nous en donner le prix.

J’avais appelé pour demander à poser ma valise vu qu’on allait courir le marathon et on m’avait répondu que oui.
Mais arrivée sur place la 2eme personne nous a dit que non ou en tous cas à nos risques et périls. On lui a demandé de prévenir la personne du lendemain qu’on voulait poser nos valises mais cela avait l’air de la déranger. Elle l’a écrit sur un cahier à contre-coeur.

Le lendemain, Le petit déjeuner était pas top top et on avait 5 secondes pour se décider.
De plus la 3e personne n’avait aucune idée de notre demande pour les valises.

En résumé, on a été en interaction avec 3 personnes et on a été à chaque fois très mal reçu, très mal conseillé et une notion de service totalement absente.
La pire expérience dans un hôtel de ma vie. Même dans un auberge de jeunesse ils ont plus la notion de service.

Si l’on peut éviter c’est mieux

Grosses rénovations à prévoir, chambre 10 pas de chauffage dans la salle de bain, lampe côté droit du lit qui ne fonctionne pas, taches un peu partout sur les murs lavabo fissuré de tout les cotés, très vieux mobilier, mais le pire ce qui absolument inadmissible en 2021 c’est le fait qu’il y QU’UNE SEULE PRISE DE COURANT dans la chambre et celle ci très loin du lit!!!!! À l’heure actuel tout le monde a plus d’un appareil à mettre en charge. Dans beaucoup d’hôtel il y a une bouilloire dans la chambre lorsque l’emplacement existe, covid ou pas covid!!! Même si le prix est bas c’est exagéré!

Les chambres ont vraiment besoin d’etre Rénovées, le chauffage ne fonctionne pas dans la salle de bain et celui dans la chambre est trop petit pour chauffer toute la pièce, le lavabo a été cassé en dizaines de parties puis recollé, la femme de ménage me laisse 1 serviette au lieu de 2 et le comble ça a été le dîner! J’ai demandé à pouvoir réchauffer mon plat aux micro ondes, on me l’a refusé. L’hotel Propose une carte/menu pour dîner, je demande à ne prendre que le plat. Cela aussi m’a été refusé! C’etait Tout le menu à 25€ ou rien... honnêtement comme service, c’est connu largement mieux.
Personnellement, je n’y remettrai pas les pieds...

1- Les Chambres étaient viellottes, sans climatisation et sans un frigo pour ranger nos boissons au frais pendant la canicule...
D'ailleurs j'insiste sur le fait que sur la page de l'hôtel il est précisé que celui ci est équipé de climatisation.... C'est trompeur
...
2- Il n'y a quasiment aucune prise de courant pour brancher nos ordinateurs et téléphones en même temps... Nous avons dû brancher notre deuxième téléphone dans la salle de bain puisquil n'y avait qu'une seule prise ds la partie couchage de la chambre...
3- il n'y avait qu'un seul gobelet et aucune brosse à dents ni dentifrice heureusement que nous avions les nôtres...
4- Il manquait les serviettes de bain dans une de nos chambres...
5- Les distributeurs de gel hydro alcoolique étaient tous vides à la réception.
6- Si les draps n'avaient pas été en tissu on aurait pu croire que nous dormions dans un hôtel formule 1.
7- Point positif... le personnel était aimable et les WC propres

Conclusion : je suis très déçue des prestations et je pense choisir un autre lieu si je dois ré séjourner à Saint dizier...
