My stay here was welcoming and mostly comfortable. Room was clean although it felt a little dated, they definitely tried but no denying this is an older property. There was a lovely little welcome bowl of fruit and a well stocked mini fridge. Both coffee and a tea kettle were provided. Air conditioning worked well and there was the option to open the windows which I loved. Bathroom was large with a walk-in shower and toiletries were high-end. I also noted the lack of a proper hotel lobby. There are two restaurants, one is pretty separated and the other opens towards the lobby although that seating is part of the other restaurant/bar area. So really no lobby seating which seemed strange. Overall a lovely stay; however, I would give another property a try before I stayed here again.

first time at the Mandarin in Geneve, the service is not what one would expect from Mandarin Oriental. three flies in my room throughout my stay. i complained to house keeping three times and did not do to rectify. on check out i told reception of this complaint - they did even apologise.

Our room did not have a tub and the shower showed signs of use that made it look dirty and unappealing. Room service was excessively priced even for overpriced room service food. Due to a train strike in France, we were forced to leave earlier than expected. Obviously, this is not the responsibility of the property but was not able to have our 3rd night refunded because it was the \"free\" night. There is no way this room was worth the nightly rate we paid for the first two nights -- the \"free\" night was the only way this hotel would have been fairly priced.

Staff friendly. Feels a bit in need of a refurb - design scheme not that coherent. Lifts an odd shape, floor level of bathroom different to bedroom and kept stubbing my toe on it, had a random child’s cot in my room on arrival, curtains only opened half way. Just a bit weird to be honest. Incomparable to some other MO properties eg Dubai.

like that it is not right in the Center of it all in Geneva but yet within walking distance so it is much quieter than the other properties which are in the similar class in terms of motorized and foot traffic but yet somehow amidst all of it.

On our arrival to the hotel, front desk were great, we got offered a champagne and they were quick to make a restaurant booking as we had arrived around 9:00 PM, we were asked to change as no shorts in the restaurant. We went to the room it took 40 minutes for luggage to arrive as the bellboy had put it in another room and couldnt remember.
Finally we got to the restaurant “Rasoi” we werent offered drinks menu, and told we needed to order food first as kitchen was closing. We ate quickly food was ok,

Finally found 2 charging points, showered and got into bed to find the bed was creaking( actually making squeaking sounds ) i said to my husband this is very off putting and uncomfortable, by now we were exhausted as we had driven down from monaco.
By midnight i was sweating as the air con wasnt working, i then opened our windows( only to hear the street sounds) after an awful night, in the morning i tried to turn kettle on!! It didnt work.. by now i had had enough i called the front desk and complained! They sent coffee and somebody to check my complaints, the person checked it and said sorry all was broken.. they offered free breakfast! By now i just wanted to leave!
At checkout the receptionist just said sorry and offered free parking which i accepted but carried on to charge me for a glass of wine that i had previous night! I just cant express how dissapointing this stay has been worst

The service is great and the location es excellent. But since is a very old building turned into a hotel the accomodations are laid out as you expect from this kind of hotel. Akward layouts in rooms and mini bars hidden in strange places.due to lack of space. The view from the room was great but I preffer modern structures.

Really enjoyed our stay at mandarin oriental and staff exceptional- the twin room suite was nice but shower unit tiny and by the front door not adjoined to the bathroom which was slightly weird. There was a distinct smell of smoke in the room which seems to be a common problem fir this hotel group and is their third hotel I have experienced this.

Mandarin Oriental has always been great, including this one in Geneva. Great location. Walking distance to old town, shopping district and train station. Lots of restaurants near by. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Room is big and comfortable. Love the breakfast and the service from the staff. Really glad to choose this hotel for my first visit to Geneva.

Lobby is cramped and no place to sit down. No real sitting area at all in the first floor, except the bar-lounge. I like the spacious reading rooms of the Ritz. Staff is very helpful in the MO.

This hotel is well located. Just crossing a bridge there’s the old city. On the same side this hotel is located there are many interesting sites to visit. You have a 40’ walk to the Palais des Nations. There’s a 12’ walk to Quai du Mont-Blanc for a boat trip of 50’ to have a look at the Jet d’eau and beautiful houses along the lake side. If you venture to the city center you can also have a taste of how locals live. Staff at the MO bar were extremely polite and nice, same with the staff at the front desk. We had an early check-in which we really appreciated. There’s nothing you wouldn’t like about this hotel. No wi-fi for the holidays package we bought but we already knew that before arrival so it was not a problem for us.

Great stay. We were upgraded to a larger Madarin Room with an amazing river view. Front Desk Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, providing us with detailed information on things to do in Geneva and offering to text when room was ready. We were able to check in a few hours early which was appreciated after a long flight. Overall great stay. As others note wifi is not free. However, apart from that the room was very nice and luxurious.

Stayed in Geneva at this hotel for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. Stayed in many 5 star hotels but the level of service received here can not be compared to others. Attention is payed to every small detail that you become slightly spoilt. Would recommend to anyone staying in Geneva

Great Hotel except that it charges you extra for everything that many hotels give free. Parking your car and breakfast for 1 day cost you close to 250 francs for a couple. This is one third the cost of your stay. Add a single dinner dish each for dinner and you are almost doubling the accomodation cost.

Spent 3 nights in Geneva and had a very good experience at the Mandarin.

Very impressed with the hotel and its staff. They could not do enough for us.
The in house restaurants were also fantastic.
My only gripe about this hotel is the lack of free broadband in the rooms. At this level this should be provided in the cost.

The hotel is situated in a great area, everything is walking distance, shopping, sightseeing and restraunts.

The mattress should be changed immediately
We stayed in a suite, the only thing bothering us is the mattress, it looks over used or it's avery bad type,, you just can't move because of the hole in the middle,, please change it immediately

In fairness to the hotel, it has beautiful interiors and I loved the room decor and amenities; a fussy, grand old (dusty) Swiss hotel this is not.
Yet at this price, The staff I interacted with were just OK and average for Switzerland. Examples: I went to a cocktail in the bar but had to get up and find a server. The maitre 'd was busy at the cash register looking busy doing something vs. being the maitre 'd.
The server I did find was perfectly sweet but seemed perplexed with taking down a drink order.
The brasserie restaurant was good, but another example where I had to track down someone to seat me.
On the upside, the check-in was very fast and so was check-out. There was little hassle.
