Disappointing.

The room was lovely as well as the pools however sadly the staff were not friendly as mentioned in other reviews and we often felt ignored or like they were not interested. There wasn’t much of an atmosphere in the day and it just felt a bit flat. The hotel is a bit off the beaten track ensure you hire a car and fly to Cagliari Airport.

The casual restaurant food was mediocre however the formal restaurant food was very nice!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Costa Dei Fiori and would happily return - the facilities are beautifully appointed, comfortable and of a high standard. The pools and beach area where a highlight , though the lifeguards were very unfriendly and inattentive unless you did something contravening the rules and then they were quick to tell us off. The breakfast was consistently of a high quality and good amount of choice without being overly complicated. Reception were very helpful and attentive especially Alberta and Francesco. The quality of the service and food in the bistro and restaurant did not live up to the high standard of the resort which was very disappointing, however when we brought this to the attention of the staff, the director/owner Nicola personally apologised and offered to make things right and for the remainder of our stay made himself available to address any of our questions, queries or concerns which was a nice touch.

We loved our time spent in this hotel it's true hidden gem and it's worth all 4 stars, food was good quality from breakfast to diner, breakfast had plenty off choice, good coffee, juice, we had half board option booked which included fine dining experience every evening, hotel has salt water pools one on the seafront that had outstanding views, hotel had beautifully maintained gardens. Staff went extra mile to make our time more enjoyable, brilliant reception staff. We will choose this hotel in the future.

Our whole stay was blissful from start to finish. We will certainly return and recommend it to others. We were only there three days on a road trip, so we chose to spend the whole time by the pools because they were so beautiful and zen.
We ate dinners at the more casual Bistrot restaurant, good choice of meals, great service and wine recommendations. Aluska at the Bistrot was fantastic, and had excellent knowledge of wine, helping us pair wine with the meals each night. Choice of breakfast was delicious and fresh each day.
Was lovely to also be able to have a dip in the sea at their little private beach.

We enjoyed our stay, property is not too big, we got lost finding the property due to wrong satnav directions leading us to a small one narrow path to the pool. We stayed on half board. set dinner is only so so, dry chicken breast, dehydrated vegetables, pasta was too salty.

Beautifully maintained property (inside and out); incredibly helpful and friendly staff all around, special thank you to the cleaning crew for the wonderful job.
We wish to have stayed longer in this oasis, and Sardinia in general.
Only issue was getting to this destination (possibly google maps related). Hopefully this tip can help resolve the issue.

Lovely hotel. Location was great for us to access stunning beaches. Room was clean and well looked after. The gardens are well maintained, green and give a sense of calm. Not a great choice for breakfast and after a week of the same becomes disappointing. Food is cold if not luke warm. Would be great if we had tea/coffee facilities in the room. Its a struggle to get boiling water for tea or a hot coffee. Staff are friendly and try make your holiday great. 2 salt water pools. The main pool is well looked after and cleaned over night. The infinity pool has an awesome view and worth a dip in. Unfortunately not as clean as the main pool. Yes we still swam in it. What a shame otherwise it would be perfect. We avoided snacks at the bar apart from the pizza for €9. After seeing sandwiches that were fit for the bin, being served \"dry to the point the bread was curling\" we opted to have lunch and dinner out, other wise it was a great base for us. Its advisable to have a car to get around.

We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. We had an amazing room (the individual bungalow). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. If there was one downside it would be the price of the dinner options in the restaurant. Food was very good but portions were on the small side for the price. Also the bar/bistro, although very nice, had limited food options. The a la carte breakfasts, which are included, were very good

Super convenient location to explore the amazing Baia Chia and just a short ride to lively Pula with plenty shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel grounds is absolutely stunning full of beautiful flowers and plants. You can see there is a lot of care going to the space. We love the infinity pool for a relaxing late afternoon. The room was spacious, cleaned daily and the bed was very comfortable. Every time we asked something the reception staff was so accommodating. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but we experienced the friendliness of the staff at the bar and during breakfast. I would love to go back one day!

Lovely peaceful and tranquil environment with gorgeous sea views. 2 pools to pick from (either infinity pool with sea view or bigger pool in centre of hotel). Room was clean and spacious with balcony overlooking pool area. We stayed there in June so before peak season so was quiet. Staff extremely helpful and willing to help with any issues. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was brilliant. We didn't have a car so for dinner we were limited to the hotel restaurant. It had a small menu (that did change daily) which was more expensive, but it was delicious. I would 100% stay here again but I would hire a car to explore the surrounding town of Pula.

Allez y les yeux fermés !!!!

Nous avons passé 5 jours dans cet hôtel. C'est un havre de paix. Notre chambre familiale venait juste d'être refaite. Elle était spacieuse et décorée avec goût. Les deux piscines sont très agréables.
Petit déjeuner servi à l'assiette.

This place has all the potential to be great but outside of the nice landscape this hotel is all looks no substance.

The rooms are old, not great decor and my bed was very hard.

There is not a lot of food options at the hotel - they have the same menu everyday and you have to choose from what they serve

In addition the meal times are strict and there is no options for food during the day - except a sandwich or a frozen pizza that gets placed in the over.

There is no service at the pools and you have to walk to the center bar to get any drinks at the pool or beach.

The service staff here - from reception to ordering anything are TERRIBLE. Several times my order was wrong, or i had to wait 10 mins to be acknowledged.

The reception staff was extremely unpleasant.

For the amount of money this place charges you go somewhere else there are so many better options on Sardinia this place is not it.

The owner of the hotel reached out to me and wanted to give me a jar of honey as a way to make up for my horrible stay.

A lovely resort in a quiet area, we chose it for the proximity to the beach and the photos of the refurbished modern rooms. The beach is tiny, we had a car so travelled around. We were given an upgrade but it was not a modern room, the facilities could have been better.

Fantastic resort for a relaxing holiday

We chose this resort for the location that turned out to be simply perfect. It is close enough to Cagliari but away from the city and the industrial district. It is close to Pula which is a very nice and popular town with shops and quite a few restaurants and bars. We felt really welcomed from the first moment and got a great first impression of the location and resort. The main building is really nice and furnished with taste. The green areas are amazing, well kept, and clean. Pools are fantastic, constantly cleaned, and maintained by a very kind staff member with whom we had the pleasure to have a few chats. Our room was big enough, clean, and with a perfectly working A/C (it was even possible to schedule on/off time). The staff was very kind and you can clearly see that they do their best to make your stay comfortable. Last but not least, the cuisine was really memorable. The front desk can take care of anything you might need to organize outside the hotel. Breakfast is \"a la carte\", which in the beginning worried us a bit. But then we saw the dishes coming and everything was top quality and presented with good taste. Apart from breakfast, all dishes that we ordered for lunch or dinner have been a hit.
In summary, the resort is spectacular and we spent a fantastic holiday here. Definitely recommended!!!

Very pretty, lovely well kept grounds & beautifully clean rooms. Even though the hotel was full when we stayed in mid July it didn’t seem crowded at all, very quiet and relaxing. We feel a car is essential as there wasn’t much choice for food in either the formal restaurant or swimming pool bar/restaurant it was also quiet expensive. However, there are very nice restaurants in nearby Pula and surrounding areas. Beautiful beaches nearby too. Will definitely return in the future.

The hotel and their staff were exceptional. It was the perfect beginning of our 10 day stay on Sardinia. This was my favorite hotel on Sardinia. It was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and the food was wonderful. I need to eat gluten free, nut free, and fish free due to allergies. The staff made sure that I was safe with all foods I ate. They even have a toaster that is gluten free.

Totally amazing hotel, very friendly staff, very clean. What a fantastic find a beautiful hotel set in what I can only describe as a botanical garden, very quite ideal place to unwind just lay back and relax,no rushing to save your sun bed no towels reserving beds and no one turns up all day. Will definitely be returning. Would have liked to have seen more variations on evening menu but Pula is only 5 mins drive where the best pizzas I have ever eaten and one of the most fantastic restaurant I have eaten at was Fredricos jus around the side of the main square.

Very pleasant hotel.

The four us, two adults and two children, spent 10 days at the hotel, half-board. The hotel and grounds are big enough for it not to feel busy, even at the end of July. The hotel staff is very friendly, the food is great, the atmoshere is relaxing and the hotel is in a quiet location. The only niggle is that salt is added to both pools, I would have preferred fresh water.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and a haven for bird life. The rooms are very spacious with a large bedroom and bathroom, and a very large patio or balcony. The setting for meals is stunning although we only chose to eat breakfast at the hotel as we prefer to dine out.The only downside is the very dusty track to the hotel ( the manager did explain that local regulations prevent it from having the benefit of tarmac) and the parking is very haphazard which could result in you being blocked in if guests don't think about how they park. All the towels are changed daily which is nice but is it necessary - you are not given an option. All in all a lovely hotel and we would not rule out returning there.

The overall experience of this hotel was pleasant. It is listed as a 4 star hotel however I would not rate it anything above a 3 star.

The service, particularly from the bar and restaurant staff is poor. The food and drinks, mediocre. You need to book the restaurant in adance otherwise the only other food available (given that there is no other restaurant within 15 mins of the hotel) is either a lasagne or another dish. Two alternatives. I would like to add that the restaurant was never full either

One night we sat down at the bar and it took 35 minutes for us to be acknowledged and then served a drink. By this time our Taxi had arrived so we had to leave. We were still charged for drinks, even after a 35 minute wait.

You are allowed to have two pool towels for the full duration of your stay. If you would like to replace these with clean towels, you will be charged a fee, which I think was €8, per towel.

There is only wifi in the lobby and not in the rooms. The TV in the room has about 3 channels that actually work and these are all in local language, no European cable.

The grounds are sporadically kept. The infinity pool is lovely, however the grounds surrounding horrible. A few bushes trimmed, some decking and a pool bar and this would be amazing. Having waiters take drink orders around the pool, would be such a step up.

It is such a shame as this hotel has the potential to be an absolute amazing hotel and an easy 4 star, however as it is, it is firmly a 3 star

We have just returned from our honeymoon which we ended with 3 nights at this hotel. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish with great attentive staff, top facilities and really nice dinners too. I had really specific dietary requirements and the staff went out of their way to help with this at breakfast and we had two really delicious dinners as well! The infinity pool and private beach were gorgeous and we found it really easy to drive from the hotel to explore Pula and the surrounding area. Really recommend!

We booked this hotel because we wanted to be close to Chia without having to pay the exorbitant prices of Chia. This hotel delivered: very nice setting, beautiful swimming pool (infinity edge), very friendly staff, comfortable rooms. I recommend that you have a car when you stay at this hotel so you can go around if you want to visit nearby beaches (a must do) or to go try different restaurants in the area. I would say this hotel is good for couples if you go there outside the summer vacation... but then it is more of a family resort in the middle of the summer season.

Serious shortcomings

The stadard rooms are very dark, poor lighting. Cant read inbed. Room very noisy
Breakfast. One coffee machine for all guest !! results in long que. Frequently running out of fòod Very congested around breakfast bar.
We were moved from one room in which we would not have stayed to a slightly better room.

We raised these points with the hotel and was told the hotel was fully booked implying all was well.

Good location with a car

Our opinion of this hotel is probably skewed slightly as we stayed for a few nights in Rome prior to this, the hotel there was perfect.
All of the staff are great, no grumpies, all very helpful and generally good English.
As said in other reviews, you definitely need a car to make the most of the location. We drove to a few beaches, the furthest of which was 20mins away (tuerredda) which was way too busy and cost the most to park (7 euros). Our favourite was spiaggia su giudeu, much quieter and perfect sand and water.
Pula is the nearby town/village which does have a little square in the middle with a few restaurants and bars down a side street, but it's not particularly exciting. You can see the whole place in about half an hour. Cagliari is much better with much more variety of food too. You will not get anything but Italian food in Pula unless you want sushi.
It takes about 40mins to get to Cagliari by car from the hotel, beware the toll road that actually takes longer than the non-toll road! It is a pleasant drive with the road going between the sea and a lagoon with lots of flamingoes (early September). There's free parking after 7 on via Roma before you get near the train station otherwise about 50cents to a euro per hour, cheaper than the beaches!
The main reason for not giving 5 stars to this hotel is the prices charged for food. £39 euro each for an evening meal with no real substitutes for vegetarians. Chips for 10 euros a la carte!

Great hotel to explore the region

If you are looking for total relaxation this hotel is great. Don't think is suitable for families no entertainment is provided at all. Which is a shame. Hotel staff great. Always helpful and very professional. Beautiful gardens and amazing pool. Huge disappointment- food. Breakfast very basic and a la carte dinner menu very limited. We preferred to eat in a local town in Pula which has few good restaurant. Car is a must to explore stunning beach.

Staff are so nice and helpful, especially the reception staff and restaurant staff. They go out of their way to help. Would defiantly stay there again. They sorted out a honeymoon gift for us and gave us the best room with pool and part ocean view.

The hotel needs major renovation. We were told that the hotel was build in 1992. It appears that nothing changed from the time that it was build . Starting with the driveway that leads to the hotel ( not paved and when you drive through , you leave a cloud of dust behind) and going into the rooms that have extremely firm mattresses ( two beds put next to each other to go arm a queen bed, that slides apart at night ). The location is nice, close to Pula and Chia. Needs major upgrade.

Lovely hotel off the beaten track

Located down a rough track but once there it's a beautiful hotel, local characteristics, charming staff and a fantastic Sardinian setting. Not bust at all, didn't see any coaches turn up or tour guides, just people in taxis arriving at different times. Rooms are very good size and well equipped, restaurant is lovely ( the wasp problem is a Liam and maybe more could be done) but if you keep out of there way at breakfast and eat inside the hotel you can escape them bothering you). Food is great, wine is really good and the bar staff are very creative with their cocktails, the grounds are lovely, infinity pool is great as is the little beach , the main pool is wonderfully trefreshing ad it can get very hot during the day, loved the salt water as you can just float around so easily in it. A place fir a lovely romantic couples holiday , not a place for the kids.

Lovely tranquil hotel, perfect for relaxation

My husband and I stayed for three nights in July for our wedding anniversary. Overall we were very impressed with the hotel - the hotel was fully booked and yet it was always peaceful and the pool was rarely in use. The rooms are spacious and set in separate buildings in beautiful gardens so it felt very private. There was a bit of noise from the other rooms in our building (8 rooms in total), however nothing compared to other hotels. There's a choice of two pools, both saltwater. The main pool is huge and we often had it to ourselves. There's also a baby pool and a few playground items. Some people did have children, but I would say it's better for adults given the remote location, food choice, not much shade around the pool etc. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel every day and on two nights dined there. Overall the food was very good and the staff are very helpful and professional. You definitely need a car if staying here - you can't walk anywhere from the hotel and one night we drove into Pula for dinner. We had cocktails at the bar every evening which served until midnight.

The only slight niggle was that we would have expected a better shower - given the size of the bathroom it was a small cubicle with a shower that could barely be adjusted. Also although the rooms were spotless and cleaned every day, the floor often felt quite gritty still.

That said, we booked this hotel without doing much research and hit the jackpot. It was exactly what we were looking for!

Great hotel in a lovely setting

Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. The staff were excellent. Efficient and friendly without being fawning. Food was delicious and interesting (first time I had eaten some of the sea food!). Would have liked tea making facilities in the room. Two good swimming pools - one infinity overlooking the sea. Only negative point was that we couldn't find a comfortable seat - form over function! Not much to do in the area although Pula is worth a visit for the restaurants in the evening. Felt 10 days would have been better than two weeks. Quite a few honeymooners there.

Lovely peaceful stay

Had an amazing week at this beautiful hotel. I can't recommend it enough. The rooms are spread out across lovely well kept gardens. The private beach and infinity pool are to die for. Hotel staff excellent and attentive! If you want a lovely little romantic getaway, this is the place for you.
Also perfect for young families with babies, so peaceful and relaxing. Food amazing and great value.

Good hotel if you want to relax and do very little

Very secluded; large grounds for a small hotel. The main pool by the hotel needs more shade but that is a minor criticism.

Hotel recommended a boat trip which, although not cheap, was the highlight of the holiday; well worth the money.

Relaxing short break

Lovely hotel & staff in a beautiful setting. Excellent unobtrusive service by all the hotel staff from the reception to the waiters. As an example, I briefly mentioned I did not eat meat in conversation at dinner on the first evening and the waiter remembered and must have informed the other staff as the chief made a dish not on the menu the next evening without a request by me and the staff made sure they asked if my food was suitable and enough. I will certainly stay at this hotel again.

Nice quiet 4 star hotel

We recently enjoyed a lovely relaxing week here.
The hotel has a quiet & secluded location with good accommodation, well maintained & beautiful gardens, 2 sea water pools, good food & drink and great staff.
There are no shops or restaurants close to the site, so you will need a car to make the best of excellent local beaches around Chia or shopping in Pula or you could just chill on a sun-bed as we did.

Lovely hotel

Lovely stay, staff were excellent especially helpful in catering for nut allergy! Hotel grounds were gorgeous. Rooms can be a bit noisy especially if occupants don't wear the complimentary slipper's! The hotel was a little more remote than anticipated but we had a hire car for the week anyway so got around easily. Would definitely recommend the half board as the food was amazing.

Excellent Hotel, Lovely Staff and Amazing stay

Staff Lovely, Upgraded when we arrived and were shown to our lovely room. IT was quite quiet as it was out of season, but still plenty of guests. The breakfast was one of the best breakfast buffets Ive had in a hotel (its included in cost). The reception and staff couldn't do enough to help us, especially when we had a mistake of items being added onto our room which we did not order. You need a car to get here and to surrounding areas, its not far from restaurants, shops and is right on a beach. The panoramic Pool is something not to miss.. absolutely stunning. Well maintained hotel with friendly and more than helpful staff. Reasonably priced bistro, restaurant and Bar.

Peaceful and relaxing hotel

We had a wonderful stay here recently. It was just for one night but it was very relaxing as it wasn't overcrowded with loads of people. It was very quiet and relaxing. The infinity pool was definitely a highlight as it looked out over the ocean, the most incredible views. There were hardly any people in or around it either so it was utterly relaxing. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant with a table next to the other main pool. The included morning buffet was great, they did really good coffee too, which you could order separately and not be charged for it. Cocktails by the pool were nice too! The only downfall was trying to find the hotel originally as google maps lead us into back streets so we were very lost for a while there. My tip would be to find the main road (SS951 or similar?) and take the turn off that on the maps looks like the closest road to the hotel. It is not well sign posted at all so drive slow and keep your eyes peeled!

Great service with a smile..

The Hotel Costa Dei Fiori is a really nice hotel surrounded by lovely grounds. Ideal for families and couples. The staff are helpful and responsive with a warm welcoming smile in response to any queries or requests.

Whilst everything about the hotel was great, hiring a car is recommended to get around. If you are done with the sun worshiping the closest attraction is a uncomplicated car drive away (10min), But there are lots of things to do and see up and down the coast.

This was my first stay, but it will not be my last.

Idyllic location, beautiful food and lovely people

We had a wonderful week here for our honeymoon! The hotel is beautiful, particularly when lit up at night for al fresco dining in the evenings. The staff are very helpful and the food is delicious. The private beach, pools and the views are all a must see too...its a very secluded and quiet location..I'm sure we'll be back one day!

great place to relax

Great pools in hotel, very relaxed and tranquil environment relatively close to some fantastic beeches (chia) and mountain trails etc. Breakfast was great, evening meals in the restaurant were trying to be fine dining and could have done with more tasty/volume of food.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, only slight issues were that wifi didn't seem to have much of range past central reception area and headboard in the room was noisy.

Relaxing Holiday away from the hussle and bussle

Enjoyed our stay at the secluded hotel. Beautiful and relaxing setting. Quiet perhaps due to time of year. Friendly reception staff. However need a car to get there (1km of dirt track leading to hotel) and to get around. Close to many tourist attractions which can be reached by car. Very few cars on the roads. Pula is the closest town with many services
