Instalaciones muy anticuadas para ser un 4 estrellas . Colchón de maja calidad y cama incómoda . Almohada muy fina . El aire acondicionado funcionaba mal y hacía ruido . Habitación oscuro . Olor a cerrado al llegar .

Schönes Schlosshotel. Zimmer ausreichend groß, schön leise trotz Straße vor dem Fenster.
Service unterscheidet sich von teils freundlich und zuvorkommend zu lustlos und abweisend.
Interkontinentales Frühstück und abends die Möglichkeit im Restaurant mit wechselnden Angebot zu nutzen (Preis 16,-, 3 Gänge Menü, top Preis Leistung, inklusive Getränk)

We absolutely loved the Temple Hotel, it had a Knights Templar theme, from being ‘greeted’ by a suit of armour in reception, to iron braziers for the lights, medieval style furniture and pictures, even the key to the bedroom was an iron ‘Tau’ - all in homage to the spectacular Knights Templar Castle in Ponferrada.
In addition the rooms were comfortable, the welcome was warm, and breakfast was a veritable feast worthy of any knights!

Worst stay in Spain!

Worst hotel I have stayed at in Spain. They have horrible customer service. Wifi is impossible to connect to. Hotel backs up to a loud street. No a/c and my window would not open. Walls are paper thin. You can hear every conversation of people next door and above you. I had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night to go to a different one, I am so glad I did. The front desk was horrible and unhelpful.

Enjoyable for a night

We very much enjoyed the decor and service. A bit loud from street noise and defiant needed better pillow options than one long pillow but overall very enjoyable for a night. Easy walk into town and the Templar castle.

Quirky and comfortable

The hotel is located on the edge of the shopping centre and 5 mins walk from the rail station.The Templar castle is a good 15 mins walk away, but the railway museum is just across the bridge from the hotel.
A warm welcome at Reception; who throughout my stay were very helpful; especially being translator with a taxi driver who I wanted to use to explore the hinterland. A walk-in health clinic is 5 mins walk away.
The hotel and rooms are presented in a medieval style; though in my room a new lick of paint would refresh the minor marked / stained areas.
The room was comfortable and quiet and I slept well. Breakfast has a fair range of cold fayre, but the presentation of the hot scrambled egg and bacon was not appealing. Boiled bacon sitting in a bath of water is definitely off-putting and I gave both a wide berth!
Otherwise a lovely place to stay.

Comfiest bed in ponferrada

Quirky historic hotel, very centrally located just a few minutes walk from the city centre. Parking was free either in front or next to the hotel. Breakfast a little expensive at €8 per person but decent coffee. Rooms are compact, a balcony adds a nice touch. Air conditioning very welcome. Very very comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. Would stay here again.

A Convenient Stay

We had a little trouble finding the hotel due to construction in the neighborhood, but once there it was a good location. There was a park across the street and the main downtown area was a few blocks away. The room itself was modest, a little cramped and had the customary separate beds. The facilities were clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed a quiet night's sleep even though the commuter train line was just behind the hotel.

Had to wait for check in at 2.30pm Charged extra for 'wifi' and parking motorcycle,10+ euros per 24 hours. Gym. was appalling, one broken crosstrainer one barbell with no weights ! nothing else.I feel that this booking was made under false pretences.

The hotel was in a good location close to restaurants, supermarket and bus stops. Unfortunately, there is a big problem with bed bugs.Having read ( just now) some of the recent reviews I suspect they are in most of the rooms. The hotel probably needs to shut down for a while to have time to truly take care of the problem. The cleaning ladies clearly clean, but that is not enough for this kind of an issue. I got bitten two nights in a row and barely slept. I don't recommend this place for this reason.

Have 20 años me aloje en el hotel duramte una temporada y esta ultima estancia me ha hecho ver que se han quedado en el medievo. Antiguo, oscuro, anclado en el pasado

Tampoco respetan la legalidad. Esta prohibido copiar el dni y te las bes y deseas para que no lo hagan.

El desayuno son 10,90€ y si lo tienes contratado y no puedes ir a desayunar, te dan una bolsa con un bocadillo de chorizo, una botella de agua y un zumo en brick... todo ello no supera los 3€

La habitacion terrible. Todo se maneja con interruptores de la decada de los 80 en la pared y el baño esta lleno de agujeros en la pared de haber tenido cosas puestas y no haber tenido cuidado a la hora de retirsrlos. La bañera parecia que acababa de pasar el sarampion, foda llena de marcas. El agua caliente sin presion.

La amabilidad y el trato del personal, sobresalientes. El equipamiento y los servicios, a la altura de lo esperado en un hotel de esta categoría.
Lo único que mejoraría es el aislamiento acústico, ya que me sorprendió el ruido del tráfico en la habitación, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que Ponferrada no es una ciudad enorme con tráfico incesante.

Mala organización y problema de seguridad

El día antes del viaje me piden que contacte con el hotel . Les llamo y que tenían un problema con la habitación que habíamos reservado ( para 2 adultos y 2 niños pequeños ) que nos tenían que dividir en 2 habitaciones . Bueno . Pero mi hija que dormía con un niño pequeño a las 11 de la noche nota que están intentando abrir la puerta de la habitación , se levanta asustada y se encuentra a una pareja que tenia llave de su habitación . Les habían dado la misma habitación . El susto fue tremendo .

La estancia ha sido muy agradable todo el personal muy respetuoso y dispuesto voy a resaltar a Vicente quien está a cargo del Rest ha hecho de nuestra estancia una grata experiencia, el tema es medieval por lo que nos encontramos en una sensación de volver a pasado, ciertamente si buscas algo más ejecutivo y actualizado esta no es la opción, nosotros nos hemos sentido como en un hotel temático, han sido unos días muy agradables donde recibimos buena atención y buen servicio habitaciones acordes a lo reservado y en buen estado de limpieza.

Está bien para un par de días

El edificio es muy chulo y está decorado acorde a la temática. Las habitaciones son amplias pero hay ciertos detalles que hacen que no le de más nota. Por ejemplo el baño no tenía cierre, tenía un agujero en su lugar, no podíamos cerrar la puerta. El sitio donde se deja el papel higiénico estaba roto. El secador es de esos fijados a la pared que tienen muy poca potencia. Son pequeñas cosas que hacen que una estancia sea más o menos agradable. El personal era muy amable.

La ubicación no es la que dicen, está lejos del centro, la ducha fatal, la televisión está al mismo nivel que la cama.
La recepción siempre están ocupados ni te miran, pides información y tienen mucha prisa.
No veo las 4 estrellas ( llegaba de Coruña del Eurstars ) y años luz.
