We had two rooms and stayed 4 nights on this trip. We had minor issues with the room safe, towels, mini fridge, food orders and sleeping. We woken up every morning at 4AM by loud speakers on several surrounding buildings. I went to the pool twice and had to go to the front desk to request a towel and there were no cushions on the lounge chairs. We stayed here 5 years ago and had a better experience. It just seems like it’s not being maintained or managed properly.

Not sure why Expedia rates this as a 4 star hotel but the bedding, towels/bathroom, and overall room feel more like a 3 star hotel.
Staff, however, were very nice and courteous.
Breakfast was okay…could be better.

If you ever plan to visit Jambi Indonesia to learn about the History of the Ancient Buddhist Kingdom of Sri Vijaya, one of the best hotel you can stay would be at Aston Jambi Hotel.

It is nice and clean. Staff are friendly and competent. The breakfast buffet is good. They even have a swimming pool. In the evening you can visit to roof top bar and catch a great view of the town of Jambi.

Have stayed here twice and we were very happy on both occasions. They even prepared breakfast for all of us when we had to leave the hotel at 530am to catch our flight home. So kudos to its management.

PS: booked it through expedia @expediamy. Got a good deal too!

Very friendly staff, lots of nice things to do, sky lounge has beautiful view. Great food 😍

The gym could have had more facilities. I felt uncomfortable walking through dinning area to get to pool. Maybe open access from another route.

Could not get the bed I booked even though I checked in well after 2pm because the rooms with this type of bed were not ready. The breakfast was okay. The bed was comfortable. The location was very good and close to a very good restaurant: Aneka Rasa.

It is just ok

It was ok other than the electricity for few times went off in one day. One time even longer for about 10. minutes as they didn't have any back up for electricity in the case of the power shut down from the main source. The bottom line is they are not ready.

Good Place to Stay in Jambi

Spent two nights here. The room itself was quite clean and comfortable and in our opinion still of reasonable price. Breakfast was also good. The hotel is centrally located and gives easy access to the areas we wanted to go. Walked around the area in the evenings and mornings. Took taxis to explore Jambi city, Batanghari river, Angso 2 market, and Muara Jambi (ancient Buddhist temples). Great experience, especially it was our first time in Jambi.

A good Hotel in Jambi

Stayed here for 6 days. Clean, nice setting, near to the airport, about 15 minutes drive. Clean, efficient and pleasant staff. Food however is of concern as their choices are limited and does not cater much for international visitors who do not fancy local type of foods. Need to do something about flies in the dining hall though. Besides that it is a good place for individual or family stay.

Fantastic!

Everything was perfect. Although our laundry was lost by staff and the check out process became stuck about 1 hour. But for the entire service, I am very satisfied. Our room was very clean, comfortable bed, pleasant surroundings, and the hotel staff is very friendly. We would definitely stay there again next year !

Newest in Jambi

The hotel is new in Jambi. Location is near to eateries. Cleanliness of both room and hotel are near perfect. Service of the staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is OK, though it can be improved by adding more variety. Wireless service is stable and fast.

서비스나 호텔의 전체상태는 주변과 비교해서 매우 좋다할 수 있다. 호텔방도 전반적으로 만족할만 수준이나, 샤워실에 문이 없어 사용후 물기가 세면대까지 흘러가는 것이 흠이다. 그리고 새벽에 동네에 달아논 스피커를 통해 나오는 소음이 있고-이슬람국가는 비슷- 주위에 쇼핑 또는 맛사지할 곳이 없다
