A wonderful stay!

A beautiful hotel with a stunning view. The pool was a lovely addition and our room was comfortable and well appointed. Our only complaint was that the bedroom was open to the sitting room and was not a true separate bedroom. This was a challenge for us as we were travelling with a 14 month old and found it hard to enjoy the patio and lovely space past her bedtime. This would not be a limiting factor for many people/families staying at this property and was specific to our needs.

The kitchen was very well appointed and the shower was lovely and spa like.

The owner was very helpful when our baby came down with an ear infection and provided us with the contact information for a doctor.

We would definitely recommend this property to others.

Beautiful grounds, good breakfast (extra charge). We arrived exactly on time for reception, but no one was there just a note with undecipherable directions to room which was several buildings and 400m away - no map as to location and poor written directions. Also, the Expedia cost was supposed to be $174.90 USD but charged $212.99 USD - $38.09 USD extra for breakfast for 2? Seems a bit high for breakfast!

Très bel hôtel! Vu incroyable sur Saint cirq Lapopie. Ils nous ont surclassés et nous étions bien contents. J’ai demandé des glaçons et des ustensiles et ils m’ont donné le tout avec gentillesse. J’avoue que le seul bémol, le siège de toilette inexistant mais enfin c’est pas si grave. Très belle endroit, je recommande.

Quiet and peaceful hotel with great views from the vineyard side rooms towards Saint Cirq Lapoppie. Comfortable and cosy room with great bathroom and a bluetooth speaker and fridge. Enjoyed an idyllic evening enjoying a glass as sun set, whilst sat out on the ground floor terrace chairs. Decent breakfast but they do charge for extra coffee/juice. Free safe parking next to the property. Good for a stroll or run but to walk to the town there is no pavement on the main road. Would not hesitate booking again and one of the highlights of our road trip through France. Note that reception not staffed after 8pm.

A short but very nice stay

We arrived late and left early so it is difficult to give a complete review. We were welcomed by a very nice gentleman who we later learned was the owner. Our room was lovely and we were surprised the next morning to discover we were in a vineyard. What a charming setting! Everything about the property appeared to be first class. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice spot, but no indoor pool included...

Great room and location in front of Saint-Cirq (cannot deny that), but not happy with the description of the amenities - letting you believe you have access to an indoor pool (one of the reason I opted for this place). It is actually part of the \"spa\" facility, for which 2h will cost you another 18eur per person... misleading and expensive in my mind... (also beware the limited opening hours of these facilities)!

Great Hotel to stay at to enjoy St Cirq.. as you have a perfect view of this beautiful town. Hotel also provides shuttles so you can eat out in St Cirq and be chauffeured back to your room. Great facilities, great room and friendly staff. Loved it.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Hotel charged an extra 18Eu per day per person for use of the spa on top of the charges for spa services. A note was in the kitchen stating that if the kitchen wasn’t left in the condition it was found, there would be a 28Eu charge. Pretty tacky for leaving a couple of dishes in a rack. It was nice the hotel provided a shuttle bus nightly for guests into St Cerc Lapopie.

Great staff, amazing view, beautiful grounds.

Last October I hiked for a few weeks in southern France. One day I arrived at the Hotel-Spa Le Saint Cirq at about 11:00 am wiped out from several days of hiking. Although I was several hours early for check-in, the manager let me in my room early so I could take a shower for which I was very grateful. My room was beautiful and modern though made of stone and reminiscent of nearby homes built into the river-side cliffs.The two women who run the hotel are very nice and very helpful. You can walk to St. Cirq Lapopie across the river and bikes are also available to borrow to explore the area or you can stay at the hotel and get the spa treatment and hang out by the pool. Beautiful relaxing hotel to spend a few days, highly recommended.

A beautiful hotel in a gorgeous area, it is comfortable and very peaceful spot. We enjoyed a terrace room with our very own slice of vineyard and animals at the end of ‘our’ garden! The only downside was the extra charge for the spa.

Stunning Place

This is a fantastic hotel that is geared to total relaxation in a peaceful and quiet hotel. If you are looking to escape the world for a few days then this is ideal. No TVs available, just a quiet little setting with outstanding and attentive staff who are happy assiting with anything needed. I would highly recommend.

Stayed 2 nights at hotel and really enjoyed it with few niggles.

Positives
+ spa pool nice and long for lap swimming.
+ farm animals at bottom of vineyard which you can get food to feed
+ very chilled out and picturesque place

Things to improve
+ avoid spa right after check in time as everyone has same idea
+ rowing boats on river were rubbish
+ breakfast you have to boil your own eggs with a machine that does time it right

Not worth the mobey for what you get.

Very expensive for what you get. Extra 5 euros if you want tea, coffee & kettle in your room. Only toiletries in the bathroom was one bottle of shower gel. If you want a massage, you've got to pay 18 euros each just to enter the gym before paying 75 euros minimum for a massage. Put us off using the spa at all. They aay t's a 20 minute walk into Saint Cirque Lapopie but thy don't mention it's along a busy main road. Far too dangerous at night so we had to drive and therefore couldn't have a bottle of wine with our meal. Add a few little extras and don't charge a spa entry fee then you'll sell a lot more treatments. Don't be so stingey.

Peaceful, boutique style hotel with stunning views

A lovely stay in a super stylish hotel. We were made to feel welcome and enjoyed reading and relaxing by the pool. A good spot from which to explore the local area including some great restaurants. Go to L'Olio at the bottom of the hill for a pizza when in need of a break from foie gras and duck. Our room was beautiful. Do note - no TVs, no late night bar. This made for a peaceful stay. Would definitely go back!

Beautiful place.
Only downside is that you are 4 km from St. Cirq so you have to have your own transportation.
There is only breakfast service and a \"picnic basket\" for dinner. There are no restaurants is short walking distance from hotel but hotel provides dinner shuttle to St Cirq.

Picture perfect views, relaxing & beautiful hotel

The location is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. At the bottom of a mountain looking up to a fairytale medieval village with vineyards all around you. From the moment we arrived every need was catered for. The room are pretty and stylish. The view from the rooms is breathtaking. The rooms were warm when it got cold at night. The outdoor pool is heated and relaxing. The spa is brilliant with an inside pool / steam room / sauna and amazing rain forest shower! We had the spa all to ourselves. The spa has floor to ceiling windows looking out over the mountains. The owner is so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. He arranges free transport to the village in the evening to the restuarant or a picnic basket of local food brought to the hotel to enjoy. There is a lovely picnic area with stone tables to enjoy the views. Breakfast was lovely local products and homemade jams and juices. I am going back to this hotel as it was just amazing we didn't want to leave. it does everything it promises to be. 5 star experience

A gem of a hotel, but no evening food

We used this hotel as an overnight stop on our way to the Med... What a great find!
A perfect hote, only a short car ride to the centre of Saint view Lapopie... They even offer a free minibus to the centre in the evenings so you can have a drink with your meal... They pick you up too!
Very new hotel, so everything is spotless. The only downside is that they only offer breakfast ie no evening meal, so you have to take them up on their free minibus service.
Parking is also onsite and free
All in all, a fantastic hotel

Beautiful, comfortable hotel

Our three night stay at Hotel Le Saint Cirq was fantastic. It's even more lovely than the online photos suggest. We had a family room with two twin beds (slightly smaller?) but our teenage girls had the best sleep of the vacation in the room, and one queen bed. Room was large, comfortable and air conditioned, and the in-room wifi worked great. Not much space for clothing storage so we lived out of suitcases for the three nights, and that might be a problem for a longer stay. Large bathroom with separate toilet area. They allowed us to clear out the mini bar fridge of their items and store our own cheese, milk, etc. instead. Loved using the pool and BEAUTIFUL spa facilities, and the location just across the Lot from Saint Cirq Lapopie meant we could drive over there for dinner each night and sample some of the best cooking of our France trip. Breakfast is not included but is well worth the money. Very generous spread. Best croissants of the trip! Friendly, helpful staff. Would stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Hotel le Saint Cirq

We hadn't realised that the hotel was not actually in the town itself, but when we arrived there, to a very friendly welcome, we were delighted. At check in, the manager told us that we had been given a free upgrade to one of their self-contained apartments, so we were even more delighted. It was a hundred yards or so away from the main hotel, but it afforded easy parking and it was no hardship to walk down the hill to the main hotel for breakfast. The hotel is set in wonderful surroundings, and even has a courtesy bus which takes guests to St. Cirq itself, so we were able to use this facility to get to the town for our evening meal - and it brought us back again! We can't comment on the rooms on the main hotel, but the apartment we were allocated was spotless and really spacious! We could have used the cooking facilities, but as we knew that we would have to pay for it to be cleaned after our stay, we didn't bother, other than to get some water for the kettle, for a hot drink. A most enjoyable stay!

An amazing surprise... Best Breakfast ever...

We literally booked this the night before to find a decent place to stay not right along the motorway on a long road-trip through Europe. It looked nice on line but that did not at all do justice this amazing little, tucked away jewel here in the French countryside. The limestone canyons and villages of this area are unreal... certainly a place we could get lost and explore for weeks instead of just a night. The nearby restraunt that a hotel shuttle took us to in the village across the way was fantastic. The room was nicely finished, very comfortable and the groudns were impecible. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly host (maybe the owner?) and he knew exactly who we were and escorted us right to our room with no formalities of paperwork and check in. The same gentlemen prepared for us the next morning what i can honestly say was the best breakfast I think I have ever had. We stayed here with our kids, and would highly recommend this hotel to couples of small families.

Quirky hotel in fabulous location

We had a lovely stay at this hotel for one night in November. The room was quirky but comfortable with a good shower and lovely views. The shuttle bus to the restaurant in St Cirq worked very well and we enjoyed our meal there. The hotel breakfast was fantastic and although. It cheap was worth the price. It would have been good to have had a plug for the sink and for the hospitality tray to have been included in the price.

Great staff, accommodations, location, and coffee!

The staff was very nice. We didn't want to go out one night, preferring to relax. They found some bread and cheese and we bought a bottle of wine and relaxed in front of he fire. The price for the wine and cheese was very fair and their effort extraordinary. Great view of Ste-Cirq from the lobby. Nice vineyard, pool area, and lawn chairs, though it was too chilly to use them. This was our second visit and we would recommend it.

Fantastic room, service and view

My wife and I spent 5 nights in southern France last week and stayed in a total of 4 hotels those 5 nights. The Hotel Le Saint Cirq was hands down our favorite. My only regret is that we didn't stay there more nights. The woman working the reception the night we arrived was extremely helpful, helping us to navigate via phone the last couple of miles to the hotel and making a great restaurant recommendation even though we arrived quite late, when most places were already closed. The room was just fantastic. Updated, but with a rustic feel and a very comfortable bed. The grounds around the hotel are beautiful and the views to the old city are a bonus. Do yourself a favor and stay here if you want to see the beauty of the Le Lot area and enjoy great accommodations. By the way, I did read one of the other reviews about the toilet not having a traditional toilet seat. It was no issue at all for us and really didn't feel any different to me than having a seat.

Beautiful little hotel with stunning view of Saint Cirq Lapopie, spectacular staff, clean and comfortable rooms. We stayed in a ground floor room with terrace (yes, it is very much worth the extra) - we could walk out into the little vineyard in the morning to gaze at the village high above across the river. We could gaze at the thousands of stars at night from the quiet of our terrace lawn chairs. Free parking available on site, charming buildings and especially the lobby/breakfast area! The staff offered us a choice of rooms and in the end we were even upgraded. I left behind my mobile charger by accident and the hotel emailed within a day and offered to mail it ASAP. I am in love with this hotel and my boyfriend and I plan to make a yearly pilgrimage to stay here! Maybe next time when the pool is open ;)

This small hotel has a very down to earth feel. We loved the modern decor and found the room very comfortable. We had a little bistro table outside our room that was cute as could be where we enjoyed drinking wine and admiring the gorgeous scenery. The hotel was very busy and perhaps a bit understaffed, but everyone was working very hard and was very pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we had planned a couple more days here just to enjoy this lovely property.

The location is beautiful. We opted for a classic double which was nicely decorated. The wet room was fabulous. Breakfast was very good. The pool is decent and the view outstanding. There is a shuttle bus into the village. The hotel is affiliated to two restaurants and will ask you to reserve. However our experience is that there are better restaurants in the village to eat at. The reception staff were a little cold.

Very welcome break with peace and very quiet surroundings, lovely breakfast room and leisure area. The owner gave us a nice welcome and we met the \"lady manageress\" bef last year who was nice and pleasant, both spoke very good english, although we were happy to try our French with them! The pool although small was adequate located within the nice setting of the vineyard. The river Lot is a beautiful area with nice boat trips along the way. Limited eating areas around the facility but a free hotel bus is provided in the evening and takes you up to Saint Cirq La Poppie restaurants.

Great place for relaxing

Lovely hotel with great views of Lapopie. Very peaceful surrounding and superb rooms. The hotel also has a pool, although this could do with being warmer as everyone who got in thought it was too cold! The pool area it's self is very nice though. The hotel only does breakfast (which at over 12.00 euros a head is quite expensive) but runs a free shuttle bus every 1/2 hour up to their two restaurants in Le cirq Lapopie. It is defiantly worth going as it is unique village.
Our room had a very nice bathroom and a mini bar and iPod dock, they even provide some Cd's to play. We would defiantly stay here again.

The view is extraordinary looking up to St Cirq Lapopie & our beautifully shuttered room windows opened to a full panorama across the grape vines & exceptional gardens in full summer bloom> rose, lavenders & a pristine swimming pool !
The stone work & craftsmanship in the building of this this property is exceptional - as are the interior decor of the rooms.
It is all sign posted & easy to find , don't be put off that its not in the village the access is easy - or it's easily walkable from the boat lock at the base near the camping area- le plage. A privileged place for a special getaway in one of the prettiest villages & hotels that exudes class & is just as pretty !

Super location. Can't beat that! Gorgeous pastoral site. A shuttle takes you to the village and back for free. That's handy. Small things need to be worked on. Soundproufing is not the best but the guests are an older quiet crowd so it is ok. Not much privacy unless you close the shutters. But again the guests are mindful of that. Bathrooms are very modern looking (with italian style showers). Not practical to park your own gear anywear and it tends to get splashed everywhere. Details....the hotel is wonderful and I would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful view of St-Cirq-Lapopie

Though with an unorthodox layout and shower, the room was spacious and comfortable. And its view out toward St-Cirq was truly wonderful. This, along with a nice outdoor pool, a great breakfast, and a very convenient shuttle to St-Cirq, made it a perfect stay.

Wonderful view

The hotel is in a remote region. After many miles of travel through a national forest to get there my wife was beginning to question the accuracy of the GPS and the wisdom of my decision to visit Saint Cirq La Popie. As we approached the ruins that dominate the town, my wife was delighted to see two great tour buses leaving the city. It was not the end of the earth after all!

The hotel has a remarkable view of the ruins and the cliffs dominating the river. Saint Cirq is fun to walk through with pleasant shops and a relaxing pace. Whoever was on the tour buses dispersed nicely. The ruins are fun to climb and offer exceptional views. The church museum and gardens offer pleasing prospects.

Romantic ambience with idyllic scenery

We enjoyed our stay here immensely. From the warm welcoming service we encountered at arrival, to the spotless room with very thoughtful touches (i.e. ipod docking unit, italian shower, unique fixtures, private terrace with outdoor furniture....) and the absolute peaceful serenity of the gorgeous green valley it is situated in...our overnight stay could not have been more perfect. We will definitely plan to return to this delightful hotel. The price was an amazing deal and we were upgraded without even asking. Highly recommend it, but be prepared for a bit of a winding drive thru a secluded pass to a charming little village on a hillside. Using a GPS was most helpful.

This is a lovely hotel. The few drawbacks are that it is out of the way and hard to find. However that also is an attraction. The rooms are lovely and quiet. It is quiet, secluded in one of the most beautiful parts of France, the Lot Valley. Its a 10 minute shuttle drive to one of the most beautiful cities in France, St. Cirq-Lapopie, and excellent restaurants. Truly a treasure.

Hotel charmant ..propre ..service bien . Point negatif ...debrancher la lampe de chevet pour brancher mon cable tel portable..et salle de douche pas pratique on ne peux rien poser près du lavabo.... sinon 4 jours sans tv car pas de tv dans le descriptif de la chambre ...innattention de notre part autre bemol l'acces à la piscine intérieur est payant...par contre les produits du petit dejeuner de tres bonnes qualités

Superbe lieu, tres belle propriété face à st cirq la popie, jolie chambre. Le point négatif étant l accueil un peu rugueux. Arrive à pieds après une longue randonnée, jour de canicule, aucune boisson proposée, seulement la carte des boissons digne d'un palace Parisien... j'ai inhabituellement boycotté toutes consommations dans cet établissement. Dommage !

Magnifique propriété avec 2 piscines, des espaces verts, au pied des vignes, calme, propre, personnel adorable et arrangeant.
L'hôtel propose des petits-déjeuners, mais pas de restauration sur place. Beaucoup de restaurants aux alentours, notamment à St Cirq Lapopie, à moins d'1km et sur la route vers Vers, Cahors...
Excellent séjour avec juste un petit bémol sur la literie très très ferme ; on aurait aimé plus de souplesse, de moelleux, de confort pour nos dos endoloris.
Sinon, c'est un lieu splendide.
