The location was great, easy access to the train station and all the popular spots in Florence. We stayed in the junior suite which was very spacious, however the shower was designed poorly so a lot of water leaked every time we bathed. Breakfast buffet was standard. Towels provided were extremely old/thin/raggedy and unfortunately had an unpleasant smell. Overall probably won’t stay here again but will give stars for the good location and spacious room.

This location is across from the train station, it is a budget hotel with an expensive price. The room smelt disgusting with a strong strange odor and large stains on the flooring with mold at the base of the tub and layers of dust on the ac vents. Management acknowledged the smell and offered to spray a perfume for the room but never did, we left the hotel within hours after check in because it would have been impossible to breathe comfortably with that strong smell. The hotel refused to refund. The hotel was very busy, should have done the right thing and provide a refund as they easily and likely did resale the room due to the busy tourist season in June. They “said” it was important to have a good experience but actions did not equal what they said. We stayed at a different hotel. For awareness this hotel is across from the train station. The front of the hotel has a lot of transients. The rooms have lights provided by dim lamps. I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding this hotel. In my opinion, this is a one or two star type hotel - at best, even without our disgusting experience and not a place safe for children too. There are plenty of other options in Florence.

It located in a very good location. The breakfasts were a bit chaotic given the number of guests. But the biggest issue is the shower. It’s a shower in a both and the bath is like an ice rink with no hand rail. For someone over 60 it’s a huge risk to take a shower. Other than that great.

la habitacion tenia un olor molesto, nos quedamos solo dos noches y estabamos todo el dia recorriendo la ciudad por lo que no tenia sentido pedir el cambio. Además no tenia ducha. sino que un jacuzzi, al ducharnos parados el baño se llenaba de agua.
Por último, se me quedó el adaptador de mi cargador en la habitación (enchufado en el velador), teniamos vuelo más tarde, asi que me quedé un rato en el lobby. Al consultar en recepción me indicaron que no encontraron el adaptador (12 euros me costo uno nuevo en el aeropuerto).
Lo bueno es la ubicación, esta muy bien localizado en la entrada de la todas las atracciones de la florencia antigua, al lado del tranvia y la estacion de trenes. Y el desayuno era de buena calidad con harta variedad.

Not impressed. Traveling from the US and was exhausted and got no sleep at this hotel as the walls were paper thin. Had to call the front desk 5 times in the middle of the night to get help getting the people next door to shut their blaring tv off so I could sleep and was brushed off and dealt with rudeness. I do not recommend if you like sleeping.

The Ambassador Hotel in Florence was situated. Conveniently 2 mins from Santa Maria Novella train station. The staff were friendly and the hotel was pleasant. I had a single room which was small but adequate.
The staff were friendly, and I really liked the girl who worked in the bar. Her name was Victoria.

It’s winter and there are no independent thermostats. They had the heater very high the entire stay. It was miserably hot in the rooms. There’s no food option except breakfast. Housekeeping and staff were all very kind and attentive

We had a great experience at this hotel! A special shoutout to Stephanie at the front desk—she was incredibly helpful and welcoming. We arrived earlier than the standard check-in time, and not only did she allow us to check in before 3 PM, but she also kindly stored our luggage for free while we waited. The room was nice, the property is well-located, though very busy outside. We appreciated the breakfast and the lounge. Unfortunately the bathroom smelled worse than anything I've ever encountered. We complained and a cleaner was sent up but she was only able to cover the smell temporarily. We requested an air freshener since they said they were unable to move us, but we never received it. Despite complaining four times over the course of our stay, the hotel never offered any kind of compensation and denied we had ever complained. The cleaning person received a call from the room two floors down while she was in our room. We suspect it may have been for the same reason as it had to be the plumbing causing the smell. The smell was so bad that we had to close the door of the bathroom and open it only out of dire necessity. We stayed out of the room as much as possible and I slept with a perfumed scarf over my face. It absolutely ruined our stay. So disappointed.

Check in was smooth, the staff assisted with our needs.
After the first room cleaning, food and an item inside a toiletry bag went missing. When brought to attention they claimed a language barrier. On the second day, the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door and we returned to the housekeeper inside the room. Again, a language barrier was claimed but I pointed to their door sign.
On check out I asked for a manager and none was available.
Only stay here if you are okay with people going through your stuff.

First day there we heard loud knocking sound. But we believe it was just the person cleaning and the next room until we came back and heard the noise still. When told and showed the front desk about the knocking sound. They just dismissed it as the restaurant underneath us was moving chairs. We told that it’s impossible. Unless they were moving chairs on the walls and ceiling. We heard the banging all while on our trip. Very disappointing. It was only one Spanish lady that was very nice and friend. She worked behind the bar.

Do not stay here if you are female! The congregation of men who loiter outside and under the hotel room windows is very uncomfortable and not particularly safe. They are there 24/7 and its only when the Military are patrolling do these men move on. Unfortuntely the location of this hotel is good - across from train and walking distance to key areas but slum and noise outside this hotel is not worth it. Find somewhere else.

Extremely convenient location - literally right in front of our tram from the bus station. They will hold your bags for free if you still have some touring to do after checkout. Bed was comfy, and the AC was decent. An odd smell was in the lobby, but our room was unaffected. There was noise from the street, but that’s to be expected in an older building in a busy part of any city. Overall it was a good experience.

We had brought our toiletries to the hotel. Only to found out on the last day, my toothpaste and lotion, shampoo and facial wash’s covers were all thrown away 😭. One of our friends had a nightmare experience as one of them had his bag stolen at the lobby. Just be careful and be more vigilant even if youre inside the hotel. Pickpockets are everywhere

Overall good experience. Close to everything. I would suggest to reach out immediately to the reception if there is any issue. For example, I didn't realize that the window was open when I arrived, so a lot of noise from outside made my night a little uncomfortable. First day our room was smelled really bad, second night someone tried to break into our room and the front desk reception tried to tell me I’m making it up this is at 11:00am-11:30pm the reception person was in on it he said he was the one knocking on the door and then I called the police and he then said he didn’t knock on the door… and I’m making stuff up. This is really bad. I will formally put in a complaint.

Location was great almost 10-15 minutes walk to the most main touristy locations. Right at the tram stop and 5 mins to the train station.
Cons;
Somehow rooms were in a poor condition.
We've checked in to a room that toilet is not cleaned.
Shower was probably leaking and we've seen small bathroom bugs thats happening due to humidty made us uncomfortable.
