There was a confusion during check in, i booked four rooms but they only received 2 under my name. While the others aren't. That caused a delay but no issue.
Pool was great but there's only 1 indoor shower available. And there's no hook or hanger on the changing rooms.

Terrible! This is not ACCOR GROUP quality!!!

Honestly, this is my first time giving a review. I normally don't but this time i feel the need to do so.

First of all, i booked a non-smoking room but the corridor to the rooms on First Floor has cigarette smoke all the time. I noticed the corridor is sprayed with some air freshener by the housekeeping staff early in the morning (they must have noticed the smell) but it'll be the same a few hours later.

Let's talk about my room, as i mentioned it's a non-smoking room but the room has cigarette smell all the time from the aircond. I noticed the smell is lesser past midnight, perhaps everyone's sleeping so no smokers around.

I can't blame on the multiple stains on the bedsheets as it's quite common BUT there are many more issues!

1) The chiller is never cold at all, room temperature all the time!

2) The aircond temperature box keeps dropping even though i tried to fix it back!

3) Look at the terrible black stains on the hairdryer...how could you even allow such a thing in your room???

4) Look at the shampoo dispenser inside the bath area, there are terrible black stains around the dispenser box...how could you even allow such a thing in your room???

5) Look at the glass door handle (round hole) in the bath area, one ia clean but the other one has terrible black stains...how could you even allow such a thing in your room???

Helloooo...this is IBIS, owned by the world renowned ACCOR GROUP! You don't even bother about your brand!!! Worst than budget hotel!!!

The bedroom have that kinda scent i dont even know but not in a good way. The bathroom is so small even for a petite girl like me. But at least theyre clean, and the staffs are nice. Very helpful.

I like everything about the hotel. the room is nice and clean.the shower room is nice. The hot water system is good. I like the Roof Top restaurant. You can have a nice of the city of Padang. The food is nice. The swimming pool is okay but the change room need a lot of improvement.

Staff friendly and helpful, sheets & bathroom ckean, food sufficient not great. Not an issue cos Padang has awesome food eberywhere!

Hi,

The hotel room is so small and there only 1 window? This is more Budget than a hotel.
The hotel is nice and trendy but the size is Super small. Was regretting but it just a 2 night stay. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was ok nothing special and we are contented with the stay.
Swimming pool is Super small and it outside the hotel. Nothing is like the picture shown.

The location was alright. You can get to most places by Grab.
The room is really small, but clean at least.
Staff can speak English and very friendly.
Even we asked for non-smoking room, you can still smell it as the corridor has very strong nicotine smell.

Clean and tidy room and bathroom. Stopped by overnight before beginning my boat charter to the Mentawai Islands, After my flights i didnt feel like leaving my room so I was able to utilise their room service and in room massage options. I caught a Airport taxi there which cost approx IDR 90,000 amd took about 20-30 mins

Ibis was solid and comfortable

The Ibis in Padang is a very good hotel. The best feature is the penthouse dining area with 360° views of Padang. I started a night at the mercure as well and can say definitively that the rooms at the ibis are cleaner, nicer and better designed than those at the mercure.

A living nightmare

If you are a non-smoker, this hotel is not for you. My group had a total of 6 rooms booked to this hotel. Even though it says it has non-smoking rooms, don't believe it. There is a major flaw in the air circulation through the bathrooms. Anyone smoking will have the stink travel through the air system which are connected to all the rooms. My group are all non-smokers and it was a living nightmare for 5 - 7 days. All the towels are dirty looking and smell like cigarettes. Unfortunately a majority of the males smoke in Indonesia and they don't care about non-smokers. Also, we had issues with the shower. The water temperature fluctuates constantly from very hot to very cold. It was a nightmare taking a shower. Plus my sink had a very slow flowing drainage. If you have a large group and you are not on the same floor then you will need to some how coordinate meeting in each other's room. Your room key is only good for your floor. There is no exercise room. Wi-Fi is not secured and it is not stable. The outside corridor music is too loud. Makes it hard to sleep. If there is a lot of families with young children, expect a lot of noise in the corridors. The children will be running around and shouting. There is nothing for the children to do in the hotel. The room has a cooling box, not a refrigerator. Only keep things cool. Worthless. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great service and room for the price

I stayed 2 times only surf trip and was very pleased with the room and the staff
The also have a cool restaurant on the roof food is ok by the view is awesome. I have stayed at higher priced places in Padang but this was by far the best.
Oki was a big help everytime I needed info or directions.

Nice hotel. Extremely friendly staff as usual throughout Indonesia. Good value for money, the food was very good and very cheap. Only con is the bathroom is almost the size of a cruise bathroom but this is Ibis kind of standard easy to undertand in Europe or places were each inch costs a fortune but in Padang it makes no sense to build such a small bath and room.

Can be considered as budget hotel

I booked 2 nights at this hotel, unfortunately only stayed 1 night due to last minute change of plan. I have called the hotel and informed that I'll be check-in on the 2nd night, hence just to get assurance that my room will still be available when we want to check in since i have paid in full ...during our check in on the 2nd night, the receptionist informed us that the room has been taken by someone else....hmmm...who ever that is, it seems that that particular person has stayed FREE!!!

Overall, the room was ok, with minimal furniture and accessories....bathroom was small and convenience, but for those big size, might feel congested due to its size....kettle in our room was not working well, had to stop it manually....the snack bar was locked, I don't know why....they only provided 1 complementary drinking water, where else, normally hotel will provide at least 2 complementary drinking water....

Distance to the airport about 30 minutes, need to take into consideration should you travelling during peak hours because it might take more than 30 minutes to reach airport....
