We were deeply satisfied with the amazing food during our stay. The front desk staff was professional, dedicated, and accommodating, which we truly appreciated after a very long journey. Additionally, our room was very clean and perfectly serviced every day.

The views and the grounds were once-in-a-lifetime and provided memory-making perfection—even in February.

Great hotel stayed in a garden room for one night attending a wedding. Nice big fresh room with everything needed. Visited restaurant for evening meal which was very nice good choice and reasonably priced, both good and wine.

Room was clean and staff was lovely. But there was a wedding on during the week on a Wednesday. It meant there was people walking the corridors to the rooms all night and you could hear the music from the function room until it had finished.

Booked a standard double room. Can't fault the room or the service, apart from the extractor fan that ddn't stop till 23:30 at night and came back on at 4pm. Weather was nice so kept the window open, bearly slept when the extractor was on.

Great looking place, good room, good food, good people... BUT the mattress was a shocker. Collapsed in the middle
Used & abused and shouldve been replaced a long time ago, but covered up with a big thick duvet. The 2nd mattress wasn't much better. Shocking that they expect customers should accept this

Wonderful stay.

Beautiful scenery and serene environment for a stay. We stayed in the Cygnet suite and the view in the morning was breathtaking. Both my wife and child enjoyed themselves very much. Breakfast was great too. Hope to visit again!

Lovely situation. Staff very efficient, friendly and helpful. Any food we chose was very good and well presented. Plenty of variety on the menu.
Although not requested we had a room with disability aids. In the bathroom , there was a problem when shower was used....water flowed towards toilet and sink as the drain did not cope. The air con was inefficient but an electric fan was provided.
The balcony was a pleasant feature but no partitions between rooms and the general public appeared to be able to wander at will, past the room. Because there was no screen curtain, there was no privacy.
Overall, however, we were very happy with our visit and we shall go back but maybe not to the same room !

We were unable to go outside onto our patio as it needed to be repaired. Plywood was placed over and we were told after we inquired the safety that we could not go out on it. Additionally we had tondrain the water in our sink with our fingers as the drain did not work. However the front desk staff and housekeeping werr extremely friendly.

Stayed in a Superior Room (No.2) which was right beside the entrance door for the rest of the rooms. Advertised as sound proof rooms, constant noise of other guests as they passed the room. Went to the bar for a bottle of wine, given dirty glasses which I had to ask to be changed. Staff were friendly and changed them with no problem. Requested tray service for breakfast which arrived on time but with items missing (fruit juice & eggs!!!) The pillows were the worst I have encountered in a long time. Requested a late check out (12pm) but left before normal check out (11am) as the cleaners started hovering the room next door to me at 10am. Very disappointed.

Nice, but not outstanding

Whilst there were aspects of this hotel that were hinting at 4* accommodation, there were other aspects that were a little lacking. The décor is lovely - very modern with a nice bar area to sit and have a drink pre or post dinner. However, the food itself was a little disappointing given the price. The Thermal Suite (which is only free to guests 7pm-9pm or 7am-9am) had a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi type pool with multiple settings which was fun. Overall, I just didn't feel that the standard of the hotel matched up to other 4*s I have stayed in and was left a little disappointed given the great reviews this had received from others.

We stayed over on sunday night after a family wedding .The room was excellent and had a view over the garden which is set out bery nicely for wedding photo opertunities .We had a lovely time on ouf stay and can recomend this hotel as one of the best we have stayed .

Perfect secret hideaway

This is an outstanding 'secret retreat'. The service was excellant from the moment I arrived with the staff professional , efficient and friendly at all times. The bedroom was perfect to relax in before and after my spa treatments . The ESPA spa experience rivals any top Scottish Spa Hotel and I am already planning my next visit !

Amazing Hotel - Absolutely loved it!

Booked this hotel for my wife's birthday.
Only an hour out of Glasgow but in a scenic rural location.
1st impression was .....wow!!!
Stunning place...great spa, brilliant food, amazing room, lovely staff who could not do more to make you welcome. Can't rate this hotel highly enough!
We have stayed in great hotels all over the world and this little gem is right up there with the very best....Can't wait to go back soon.
