Staff here are fantastic. They're incredibly helpful and will try to meet your every need. The property however, leaves a lot to be desired. Fine for a budget, run-of-the-mill family hotel, but really needs some updating. There are no lifts to access anything above ground floor. Restaurant is limited, and the general store is overpriced and lacking variety. Still beats camping but.

Everything was too expensive. The buffet food was really bad, but the other restaurant food was great. The rooms were really nice with very comfortable beds and furniture. Reception is very bad, and youtube, Netflix etc would cut out on the TV a lot. Normal TV reception kept cutting out too.

There is no conditioning in the rooms or the restaurant. The fan they did have barely blew wind so for over $300 a night it was an extremely uncomfortable nights sleep. The food was ok. The staff were lovely.

Service was good except for 2 mornings. 1 morning took 35m to order 2 takeaway breakfasts, then to be told the kitchen had closed and they forgot the order then after waiting bought 1 order not 2... Then another morn where it took over 1.5 hours to bring breakfast out (and was checkout day so made that hard), i spoke with kitchen 3-4 times and got different response each time. People were coming after us, ate and left. Not all rooms are equal we had friends in 3 other rooms. There are renovations underway but you may want to check the fridge is working in your room. Daniel on the front counter has great customer service.

Rooms lovely, but could use block-out blinds in kitchen. Outside light was so bright we put up two towels & still the room was very bright.
And more BBQ areas would be nice too.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Overall I’d say it’s overpriced for the condition of the unit. It was very outdated, the kitchen was not at all well equipped, we had to ask for a sharp knife and it definately would have been hard to cook in there with the lack of equipment which kind of defeats the purpose of having a kitchen, luckily we cooked all our meals beforehand and just heated in the microwave. Our unit had no air con and it was SO hot. We did initially have the option of choosing an air con room but it cost almost double the price, I don’t feel they should be able to charge extra just to have an air con. Overall we were there to see Fraser so we weren’t in the unit much but nights were difficult in the heat to get my 9mth old bub to sleep. We ended up asking for a pedestal fan and they happily provided this so that was good. I’d say friendly staff, good potential but the units need a good make over.

probably not a good idea to ask for honest feedback the lounge chairs were very badly stained no eating dining table in the room the people above me after I politely asked and mentioned there were people below them continued to be very loud I then tried to get reception about 2030 hours on about 6 occasions and no answer this could be risky if there was a real emergency I ALSO paid for an upgrade thinking I would get a nice room this establishment is now owned by a very big business and is quite expensive it is nowhere near as remote as people think from the mainland

The bathroom in our room was not clean. There was toothpaste spit on the taps and faucet. Our room had a double bed and two singles; it was spacious and relatively comfortable. All the units have a deck with a table and a couple of chairs. There is no longer an option to cook in the units, but there is a mini fridge and bbqs on site. Otherwise options are limited to eating at the resort restaurant, or eating at another resort on the island. Check in/out was easy and quick and the staff members were pleasant and efficient.

It is in a excellent location and access to most of the highlights of the island was easy. ,

Our 5 nights stay at Eurong was a base to stay while we explored the island. The resort is aged and the rooms are quite old and in need of some refurbishment eg shower curtain and stove. In saying that it was very spacious and comfortable and served our need. Would recommend for sure.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location is perfect and central as a base to all the attractions on the island. The hotel itself is very basic and starting to show its age. The biggest let down was the fact that they do not provide any utensils/equipment for cooking. We brought tons of food with us knowing that our room had a kitchen in it but then were told when we got there that there is no cooking allowed in the room. The only option this left was to eat at the overpriced buffet for all our meals. Other than that huge disappointment....the staff were friendly, the pool was awesome and the location was great!!

The staff was nice. Rooms were okay- older but spacious. No AC. We were pretty hungry and there was not much in the way of food options but the restaurant wasn’t bad. We ended our day at lake McKenzie and it was nice this was less than an hour 4x4 driving through a monsoon to get here !

Fine for overnight stay

We were headed up to Orchid Beach and decided to break up the trip and stay in Eurong for a night. There was a dirty face cloth hanging over the shower. The floors were also sandy which I can forgive being that it is on the beach. The dirty face cloth though is just poor house keeping. Reception staff were fine and check in was quick. It was fine for what I needed.

The property itself was great. A really nice pool (unheated though), dining room, bar, bakery and grounds (with a small nature walk, that was great for kids). Right on the beach too. Most of the tours stop by Eurong, so you are able to join them as they have a stop off for morning coffee etc. The staff were very nice and helpful. But unfortunately did not all seem to be able to help us with our questions and gave different answers to questions such as how to get to the Resort without a 4x4 (eg You can get a lift from some of the day tours from Rainbow Beach or Hervey Bay if you do not want to hire your own 4x4) or how to book an island tour. Overall a relaxing place to stay,

Simple facilities, but very easy and comfortable enough after a day on the beaches and tracks. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location and base for accessing the major attractions. Will stay again and for more than two nights next time.
Bring an esky with some food and drinks to give yourself more choice and value. Ice is available at Eurong and there are free BBQ facilities for guests. Pool a bit cold in 'winter' but fun anyway. A room with aircon is probably needed for summer.

Eurong Resort provides a great base for 4WD touring around Fraser Island. The two bedroom apartment we occupied has ocean views, a basic kitchen, a lounge and reasonably comfortable beds. The apartment is at a 3 star standard and despite being an older style was reasonably maintained. The resort facilities were good and included an affordable restaurant with buffet evening meals, shops and an unheated pool. The resort's location is fantastic.

A 'resort' is a little over stated. The rooms are simple and a outdated. Although it's winter there wasn't any blankets on the bed (there were some available however).
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Really close to the beach and takes less than 10mins to get there.

Convenient location, nice rooms, bad management.

Was on honeymoon with my new wife and some international relative's (who were in separate room), were happy with our choice of accommodation until we discovered after your reception was closed that there was no hot water. Had to have cold showers on a cold night (practically winter). Found a yardsman in the morning who got maintanence straight away, which we were happy with, was told the element was broken and that it would take until after our checkout to replace and have the water heated.
We went to reception only to be told by 'management' that there was nothing that they could do about it and that we clearly should have just shared another bathroom and that there was absolutely nothing else that they could have done about it. The manager we dealt with was extremely rude and did not want to be there, totally ruined our time on the Island. Would find it very difficult to consider staying there again!!!

Our stay whilst pleasing was still a little way off what it should have been. Three concerns I did have were, firstly two of the four burners on the stove did not work. Secondly the back door would not lock as the mechanism was damaged. Thirdly the air conditioning head that was inside the room looked like it had never been cleaned. And had more growing in it than my garden.

Advertised as self contained with a restaurant serving a la carte and buffet.. Buffet infested with flies and a la cart consisted of fish or steak and more expensive than the fine dining at Kingfisher resort.. Decided to cook our own. Went to hugely overpriced grocery store to come back to find one small pot to cook with. Just rubbish! Could have brought our own supplies of we had just been told the truth. Disgusting.

All in all was ok but the cleanliness of our room was very iffy. There was still sand and grime and someone else’s hair tie in the shower the kiichen bench had hair on the stove top and kitchen bench. We had other guest on our patio at times then they picked up some rubbish that much off fell off a balcony room and put it on our patio chairs. The Buffett was very average couldn’t choose much especially if your fussy eater

The website is misleading as it shows you can go to a restaurant for dinner - but they stopped doing that and now it is just a buffet. There are no options for food allergies. Everything is extra so be careful...

if you have heavy footed people above you in the floor above you will hear it

Perfectly located accommodation on the beach side of Fraser Island. Pool was good. Accommodation was adequate and clean. Restaurant closed at 8pm so if you were later than 7:30pm ordering from the menu the staff were not very happy.
Shop was expensive for essentials, so don't forget anything.
Bar closed at 10pm.
