This is the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. Within walking distance of the train station, shopping, and the Goat, the room was comfortable and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing, with Swedish, Continental, American, and English options. I highly recommend staying here.

After 16 hours of intercontinental travel and train rides through Sweden, I am so glad the Elite Grand Hotel was my destination. The staff was welcoming in every interaction. I am particularly fond of the clerk who explained how the bus payment system worked. She kept at it until I understood that I should pay for my ticket in the app just as I entered the bus. It was important that I not waste any of my 90 minute paid-up transit window standing around on the bus stop. That's what l call looking after your guests. Breakfast was plentiful and leisurely in pleasant rooms.

Lovely old building. Warm welcome. Clean, quiet and comfortable room. We were given the choice of shower or bath. Temperature was comfortable. Wifi worked very well.

Went to Elite Grand Hotel in Gävle and stayed there for a few days and would love to go back. The staff were all be dry attentive and accommodating. The breakfast buffet every morning is to die for and I definitely recommend checking out the wellness spa. It is the perfect hotel to go to when you want to relax and enjoy the area.

It's beautiful. I love historic hotels. The radiator in my room didn't work well so it was cold. The breakfast gets full quickly and there isn't enough seating, but I would stay again.

Vi besökte hotellet som par för en trevlig och avslappnande roadtrip till Gävle. Rummet var jättefint och sängen otroligt skön. Frukosten var fantastisk och lokalerna likaså. Det enda negativa med rummet var duschväggen i glas vid badkaret som inte riktigt fyller sin funktion. Står man och duschar så skvätter det vatten på golvet då duschväggen är för kort. Detta är dock ett vanligt problem med den här typen av duschväggar. Vid ankomst var man tvungen att boka en time slot på en timme för frukost. Trots att vi kom endast 40 minuter efter incheckningstid så var de senare tiderna fullbokade och vi fick välja 8:30. Nu hade vi turen att vakna tidigt så det blev inte ett problem men hade man velat sova länge så hade det varit jobbigt att behöva gå upp så tidigt för frukost. Är man intresserad av spa-avdelningen så är det bra att veta att det kostar extra, 1050:- för 30 minuters behandling. Man tycker att åtminstone tillgång till poolen borde ingå i det relativt höga rumspriset. Detta är dock detaljer. Vi hade en riktigt trevlig vistelse och kommer gärna tillbaka 👍
