Nothing like pictures or reviews. My wife said it was the worse place we ever been to, and that was BEFORE we discovered bedbugs crawling in the bed where our kid was going to sleep. In addition to all inclusive Expedia price, They charged additional $100 just to confirm the reservation because we were going to arrive later in the night. After driving for 8 hours, we were so looking forward to getting to this place and getting some sleep. The place was disgusting, run down, horrible condition. it was so dirty , we were concerned leaving our suitcases on the floor. We were still trying to make the best of it, but luckily looked under the sheets before kids went to sleep. There were bedbugs crawling across the white sheets, with and red stains, likely from bedbugs that were killed earlier. We had to pick up our things and leave before getting our things cross contaminated. We were stranded in the middle of the night with kids trying to find a place that still had availability where we could check in right away. We had to walk into each hotel, because online listing would start at the following day. Luckily We eventually found a place near by.

When I booked this, it did not say anything about being a \"TIMESHARE\". You had to take your own trash out. Towels were limited n you could only get fresh towels on 2 days of the week and only a few hours. We had excursions planned on both of those days, so we had to go buy towels.
The bathroom had dirt piled up in the corners. The bathtub/shower had jets in it. The jets were black with nasty crud on it. Black crap on the edges n where the seams met, nasty black crap hanging loose, disgusting.
The kitchen floor was dirty, clearly wasn't cleaned n the carpets were not vacuumed. Build up really bad in the corners. The carpets were very worn.
We wanted a nice resort. Maid service daily n just a few nice touches. We literally got nothing.
The pool closed at 10:00pm, and you weren't able to access the gate to the beach. You had to go outside n around, very inconvenient.
The spa n sauna were on the top floor n you had to have a special key, get from the Desk Clerk. On 3 occasions, I asked for the key n was turned down.
The lobby was very small, by the time we brought the luggage cart in, there was literally no room in the lobby.
The couch in the living room, the cushions were broke down and you sunk in and it literally was awful trying to get up.
The whole place needs a BIG update.
We couldn't go to our room and relax because of the dirty conditions.
I did fill out the Review the Property gave me. They read it, and had absolutely nothing to say to me.

The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds but lacked cleanliness. Easy access to the beach. One small outdoor pool and a tiny hot tub. The pool was sparkling but the hot tub had seen better days- the water was very yellow and the hot tub itself looked very old and dirty. Parking was a nightmare. The location was perfect though and walking distance to the boardwalk.

the property was good the only issue that I had was the fact about getting clean towels I think that they should have their housekeepers to check on guest that are staying more than a couple of days. we had to go get our own towels and when we did we were told we got the last ones. so if we had not gotten them when we did I guess we would have had to go buy towels. we did have a beautiful view from our room looking out at the beach. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR POLICY ON TOWELS FOR YOUR GUEST FRESH TOWEL SHOIULD BE TAKEN TO GUESTS ROOMS EVERY DAY. A GUEST SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY IF THEY ARE GONNA GET FRESH TOWELS. NEXT TIME WE WILL BE STAYING WHERE WE DON'T HAVE YOU WORRY ABOUT BATH TOWELS.

This property is ok. It does need updates on building, building needs a makeover, parking on the actual property was hard, but they do have an overflow across the street. (property parking is tight and hard to manuver if you have a large/wide vehicle. The rooms need to be painted, but are very spacious for the family. We had a nice room, view was nice, and the kitchen area was clean. Just minor updates on the property itself. The pool and pool area isn't that large so it would be really nice for a family with small children. I had teenagers, so they wasn't satisfied with the pool. Yet, we had great access to the beach and everything was right in walking distance. This is what stood out to us and we overlooked the outdated and unpainted hotel. The hotel has some ceiling leaks so that also needs to be addressed. But everything else was great. It doesn't have breakfast so that also was a bummer.

10 out of 10 the lady that checked us in was very friendly. She put us on a 13th floor. when we turned the shower on it smelled like salt water and then turn to rotten eggs smell, We called the front desk and she had no problems switching rooms. The room was great like a little apartment 10 out of 10 Mr. Joe that worked at the front desk very nice. There was a lot to do and in walking distance. Only downfall blankets are thin in the bedroom. We’ll definitely come back here again.

We had a good stay overall..the place was outdated though. My complaints are the mattress was very old. You could feel the springs just by sitting on it so you know sleeping on it wasn’t that great. We didn’t have hot water between 7:00 and 8:00 pm on the second night and then hair was in the tub so I had to purchase cleaning products and clean the tub myself. I love staying at the Schooner and I still enjoyed my stay but it could use some updating.

Everything was great! The only thing was that the tvs in the bedrooms didn’t work, they would come on but say no signal. I did report it but the would not be able to work on it til morning and I understood because I reported it later that evening. The negative about the stay and hotel was the fact that they were doing work on beach side of building. It’s understandable that work needs to be done but we were not able to use balcony. We booked oceanfront to be able to enjoy the balcony. There was no mention of this when we booked. We would have booked somewhere else.
Other than that, it was good. Great hot tub and sauna on the 15th floor!
