Great overnight Hotel stay

We arrived 3 hours early, but were allowed to check-in early- brilliant! Also, the proprietor kindly let us put some food items in their fridge to keep cold. There was a Music festival going on that evening, which was great fun, and we watched later on from our bedroom window- unfortunatly there was still music going on at 02.45, but not the Hotel's fault. Breakfast next morning was good.

Overnight stay

We had a very good overnite stay. At first I was a bit sceptical as on arrival we were informed we could not book in till 5pm. When we were taken to our room it was very comfortable and clean. We had a meal in the restaurant that night, the food was exceptional, with a good choice and the staff were very good. Breakfast was a buffet type, but again plentiful and good quality.

A charming little hotel with wonderful staff.

Comfortable, spacious rooms with a proper bath rather than a little shower.

Fine food in the restaurant, which is essential to book as there’s few other cafes or restaurants in Vaas.

Just ‘ok’

Very sweet looking little place, everything is just ‘ok’ all the staff seem to work to a very standard script and the boredom shines through.
The mould in our shower was unpleasant but the showers itself was powerful and a lovely surprise. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows thin. Sound insulation in the building was appalling, we were woken by the sound of people just walking up the stairs. This place is fine for one night but we most certainly did not leave the following morning feeling refreshed!

We weren’t told in advance that the restaurant is shut on Mondays although they did bring up a salad on a tray. The room was tired and the toilet broken. A shelf fell off the wall when we put a tray on it.

A commendable stay

An agreeable stay in a small town that is conveniently located to many sites of interest---Le Mans, chateaux, wineries, Roman town. Very personable and helpful staff. A comfortable room with a powerful shower. One of the friends who stayed at the same time is already planning a stay here for next year.

Easy motorway access

Warm comfortable hotel with good restaurant and excellent breakfast. Easy access from motorway in a small village with good walks beside the river Loir and a friendly pub across the road. Being dog friendly was the icing on the cake.

The hotel is handy for the motorway and easy to find.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are fairly basic . Very old shower with ill fitting door. Thin loo seat on loo squeezed into corner. Very basic. Uncomfortable mattress and skinny pillows. Blanket had stain on it. Breakfast room too small for more than 6 guests. All energy seems to be spent on the dining room which is the best part of the hotel, shame it is nut used for breakfast. Good dinner and pleasant staff

Okay hotel that was over priced.

Stayed here one night en route from Portugal to Dieppe. Not too far off the motorway. Off street parking. Our room was in a different building to the main one. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room was okay but to have a bath tub it cost an extra 10 Euros and the same to use the sauna. We didn't eat in the restaurant as it seemed quite expensive and didn't bother with the breakfast either. No other restaurants in the village so we had to drive elsewhere to eat. Café opposite was very expensive for drinks. All in all we probably wouldn't stay here again as it was too expensive for what it was.

3 miles off motorway so perfect location for stop over. Clean, simple hotel with friendly staff. Ate in restaurant, food simple but adequate. Would definitely stay again. Lovely village on the river too so great for kids with the park as well.

Convenient comfortable stopover

Hotel was easy to find, conveniently close to the motorway, but far enough away to be peaceful. The staff were welcoming and attentive without being obsequious or obtrusive. The hotel car park is adjacent and felt secure, reassuring as we had a full car load. Our room was clean and comfortable, with pleasantly and tastefully decorated. We spent a restful night, had a continental breakfast, before moving on without being hurried. A small army of staff were busy cleaning when we went to sign out, and we left feeling happy to go back when next in the area. All in all, a very satisfactory visit.

Friendly family hotel in the town square

A nice friendly family run hotel doing the basics well with reasonable prices. A twin room, well prepared main course evening meal, two glasses of wine and petit dejeuner was very welcome. Plenty of parking and a moderately quiet location. The river Loire with wear, old mill and race is but one minutes walk away. Take your camera.

The only thing to criticise was the awkwardness of the bathroom with the toilet position very cramped, but all else worked well. If the opportunity presents itself we will return.

Convenient stopover hotel

Pleasant hotel. Comfortable room, but no decent light in bathroom. Washbasin plug stuck in hole - no release lever. Position of toilet impossible except for contortionist. Good shower cubicle.

Decent breakfast.

Dinner: starter and dessert fine but main course was gristly fatty "steak" with half a plateful of salty chips. There were no vegetables.

Impeccable staff.

No Food

Unfortunately when we arrived after driving 400 miles the hotel was not serving any food, there where no places to eat in the village nor any shops open to buy anything. My advice would be to check with the hotel first that there is somewhere to get food close by.

We were stopping on our way through and it was a little out of the way but the people were friendly and helpful. There was actually a little fridge in the room. We stay 3 stars or less and this was the first fridge I had seen on this trip to France (6 weeks). Hotel is right on the town square and there are a couple bar-restos. We ate at the sports bar and the food and drink was good (menu was limited bar menu). Room was clean but small. Price was right.

This family run hotel was very friendly, well run, the staff were polite and helpful, the food was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and the whole place was very clean. They kept the theme of the school room in the dining room well. We would certainly return and recommend it to others. Good value for money.

Charming Gem!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the quaint village of Vaas, and felt completely at home and welcomed by the management of the hotel. They were very courteous and helpful in giving suggestions on places to eat nearby, and were very focused on making sure that we were comfortable in our room.

The overall hotel condition ispristine clean. Regret tthat access to hotel will need rent a car. Watch out Le mans rent car companies require 12000 euros for deposit. My guess is foreingners ae just a risk for wrck. we were fortunate we did not wreck Driving is really easy. the country site is fabulous

If you checking in late , make sure to get the direct number to the hotel. Our only regret is the owner was rather " antsy" and not accommodating when we came in late. I have to beg to let us stay because we just came from Le mans and had difficulty getting a rent car, then it was late in the evening. I do understand hte owner don't like the idea getting up midnight to let us in.The owner left the key, but the door was so hard to open, we almost like we were breaking in. If you are US tourist and used to very good customer service, then make sure you let the owner ahead of time you will come in late, so you dont get in his way of sleeping schedule. In US we have 24 hour customer service, but you cannot expect such service in a small family owned business so, beware.. With the purpose of watching Le Mans 24 hour race, it will be better to tent a car and camp by t he race instead of checking in any hotel.

Central position in Vaas....lovely plaza and ample parking around..local bars accessible...pleasant town..20 mins from main motorway network.
Hotel old fashioned but clean..owners friendly..Restaurant menu read well but slightly expensive...and unfortunately restaurant now closed Sundays so unable to sample...

Presque comme à la maison.

Pour avoir tester plusieurs hôtels de la région, c'est vers le Védaquais que je me tourne lorsque c'est possible. Le personnel est accueillant, sympathique, le service professionnel tout en restant convivial. Bonne literie, environnement calme pour des nuits agréables. Les salles de bains sont à rafraichir, mais restent fonctionnelles (des travaux seraient prévus).

Pas de gastronomie....

Jolie région. Nous y allions pour le Zoo de la Flèche et ses alentours dont de très jolis parcs.Par contre, en cette période à laquelle nous arrivons (fin avril-début mai). Pas assez de restaurants ouverts, presque choquants. Nous avons galéré pour prendre des repas que ce soit à la Flèche, Le Lude et Vaas. Ca manque de vie.

Hotel propre avec des chambres spacieuses

j'ai fait un séjour professionnel dans cet établissement, l'accueil a été correct et la chambre spacieuse et très propre, malheureusement, j'ai été réveillée vers 1h30 par un bruit strident de tuyauterie qui a duré un long moment
l'accès internet est très lent !
