Flight delay compensation checker
Check possible EU cash-compensation bands for an arrival delay, using your airports, operating carrier and reported cause.
How this works
Distance is the great-circle distance between the entered airports, not the sum of individual legs. For qualifying delays the reference bands are EUR 250, 400 or 600; a long external-EU journey arriving three to under four hours late can fall in the EUR 300 band.
This checks arrival-delay scenarios, not cancellations, denied boarding, reimbursement or limitation periods. Unknown causes, equivalent compensation elsewhere and connecting journeys need review. Assistance and care are separate from cash compensation. The airline or relevant authority decides an actual claim.

Questions about this tool
Does three hours late always mean compensation?
No. Route, operating airline, circumstances and other eligibility conditions matter. An unconfirmed cause produces a conditional result.
Does the checker cover UK-only passenger rights?
This checks the EU / EEA framework represented by its source. UK-only and Switzerland-specific cases need their applicable rules checked separately.
What about hotel and meal costs?
Care and reimbursement have separate conditions. Follow the linked overnight-delay guide and retain airline messages and receipts.
