Was greated at the door upon arrival by the friendly staff member who was accommodating to my needs which was very appreciated, beautiful room, spacious and clean, comfortable bed, amenities within walking distance, would have happily extended my stay if I didn't have a flight to catch, would definitely recommend, would happily stay again if am to visit in the future. Thanks to the staff 😊x

English information on website is not correct.

The website in English didn’t show shared bathroom and I found it out on the checking in. Consequently, I’m not happy with the shared bathroom and the staff on the third floor wasn’t so friendly. Also room has no ventilation making me si uncomfortable.

The area was sort of \"industrial.\" I found one very nice restaurant, the Fish Garden, but otherwise sort of a business district. That made the B&B affordable.

The B&B did NOT offer breakfast, which was important to me. WHY do they call themselves a B&B?

Also the staff person would only communicate with me using WhatsAPP. Experienced travelers know that, but I was a newbie, so the manager could not communicate with me at all.

There was no staff there when I arrived, when I awoke in the mornings, or when I returned in the afternoons and evenings.

The bathroom was not particularly clean.

The bed was comfortable., the AC worked.

I really enjoyed how easy it was staying at this property. Didn’t have any problems for check in or check out. The property also had many safety precautions. Would stay here again. I would recommend staying here when it’s cold or chilly though so you can open the window and keep the temperature inside comfortable.

If you book a single room you will not have a private bathroom. To get to the shared bathroom I had to walk through the breakfast area, around the corner and down the hall. The whole place is a bit run down, but everything was clean. It's in a convenient location, close to the train station and walkable to the tourist areas.

Okay if you're in a pinch, close to train station

My husband and I booked this hotel due to having a large amount of luggage and this is about 4-5 blocks from train station on flat ground. The B&B was clean and felt safe in the location. HOWEVER, we were in a room in the lobby (there are two rooms connected to the lobby) and we were woken every day from people checking in and out. Although this is not the B&B's fault, there are Paper thin walls in those two rooms. Also there is no A.C. We opened the window at night for a few hours the first night and were eaten alive by mosquito's worse than ever before (and we're from Hawaii). I even had multiple bites on my ears and was woken multiple times a night from them buzzing around my ears. We had a shared bathroom with another room which was clean. We were also charged a 15Euro fee from needing a late check in due to a train mishap, which i did not see on the website only a 10 euro fee for early check in. I would not stay here again due to mosquitos and lack of sleep from no noise barrier but if i couldn't afford anything else it is a decent option. There is a cafe on the corner. ten-15 minute walk to Duomo. 5-10 min walk to train and bus station.

They don't speak English well at all and inflexible people. They offered me too noisy room and I asked them to change the room next day. But my request was rejected even though another room which is the same type of my room was available. Worst experience ever.

Disappointing stay.

No one on reception when I arrived. Wifi did not work at all. Was told it worked for everyone else. The noise from outside was terrible. One tiny bathroom for the whole floor. The keys were hard to use and I had to end up buzzing every time I wanted to enter. It's in the 3rd floor with a really old lift to get there. They charged my credit card twice...this was an accident but still having a problem with this. Terrible hotel in my opinion and I have lived in Italy for 4 years.

A good price and a nice stay

La Cittadella is a nice hotel in Florence. It is a case of trade offs, you get a very good value hotel but it is far from all the Florence attractions, all the good restaurants and shops. It is near a very noisy street which makes it impossible to open the window, fortunately for us October nights in Italy are quite cool so it was not so bad to sleep with closed windows. Front desk service is virtually non existant. We only saw staff there when somebody arrived. Breakfast is included and is the standard italian breakfast, cappuccino, coffee and tea and croissants and rolls with butter and cheese and cold cereals. Wi Fi reception is spotty, according to the other guests we met at the breakfast area. Our room was next to the front desk area and Wi Fi reception was good. Hot water and tea were available all day and all night and it was a very nice touch, most hotels we stayed in Italy do not have coffee makers in the rooms . We enjoyed a cup of tea before bed time. Staff is very friendly. The hotel is near the train station and the bus stops, which is very convenient for arrivals and departures. Florence is a small, very walkable city, we were about half an hour of all the attractions, the Duomo, the Uffizi, Santa Croce, Pitti Palace, etc.

Bad start of the day with unhelpfulness

Hotel room was clean and shared showers were clean. The staff was good over phone but not good in person (Or may be I talked with two different people). I had clearly asked them over the phone if I can leave my two bags after check-out in the morning at the hotel, as we were planning to go around, and the woman over phone said yes that I can leave my bags. But when I met her in morning and asked again about this, the lady at the counter said we don't keep bags. She was very curt and not at all helpful or accommodative. We had to go back to the train station to drop the bags (wasting 2 hours in total).

All in all, I had a bad experience here and the staff was not hospitable.

The B&B is in a residential area less than 10 mins walk from the station so it's quite convenient to get to. The staff do not speak excellent English but they are friendly. Wifi only worked one out of the three days in our room but the wifi in the reception was fine. The room is clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay in Florence.

Enjoyable, friendly & close to rail - Guesthouse

The guesthouse was on the third floor with a cute lift Room was clean & spacious. Staff were friendly, polite & helpful. Breakfast was basic but thats all we paid for - no complaints. Since we were arriving after hours, the key was left at the cornershop - Kehab shop who were so friendly & had the best food at affordable price. The guesthouse is a easy 10 minute walk to the main rail station. Best to take a taxi if you have luggage on your arrival but download a map to give to taxi driver. There is a tram one block back. We like it so much we booked another night

Ist ein einfaches, sauberes Zimmer in einer Wohnung voller solcher Zimmer gewesen. Keine Parkmöglichkeiten vor Ort, nur weiter weg, mind. 22 Euro pro Tag. Besser im Parkhaus, da 50 Euro. Ansonsten ist die Innenstadt schnell erreichbar

Camera pulita dotata di tutto il necessario. Non è insonorizzata quindi senti molto bene cosa accade al di fuori della porta. Bagno molto piccolo per l’uso in comune abbastanza pulito (dipende anche dagli ospiti che lo usano), consiglierei di aggiungere un profumatore o qualcosa del genere perché anche se pulito a volte si sentono odori non piacevolissimi.

When booking, it was unfortunately not quite clear that this room in particular was a room with shared bathroom.
The room very small, which did not necessarily bother me. When I pointed out that I was surprised about the shared bathroom, I was only told that I had booked this. I would have been happy if I had been offered a room with my own bathroom.
Unfortunately, this did not happen. Also Expedia has, according to the corresponding employee, tried to reach someone from the accommodation to share there someone my wish, all without success.
The shared bathroom was very small. When I took a shower on the first day, I noticed that one of the two shower partitions, which must have been made of glass, was very wobbly. This was probably the reason why the said shower partition was missing on the second day. It must have been broken by one of the next people who showered there, because I stepped on a glass panel in the shower.
This happened the same way on the following days. Each time I stepped in a small shard. Thank God without that I hurt myself.
This does not speak for the fact that there was cleaned accordingly.

La relación calidad precio es muy mala. Una noche anterior estuve en Archi Hostel que es excelente. Aquí pagué el doble y el personal que atiende es pésimo, si necesitas algo en la noche (como agua) no hay cómo conseguirlo. La habitación aunque estaba muy bonita estaba llena de zancudos.

Solo nos hemos quedado una noche. Todo estaba bien, la habitación limpia y cerca de la estación de tren que era lo que buscabamos. Además, nos guardaron las maletas al día siguiente mientras fuimos a visitar la ciudad. Te dan muchas facilidades!

A notre arrivée vers 13h30. Nous avons dû attendre, 45 mn, l’arrivée du responsable, qui ne parlait pas français. Son frère, au téléphone, nous a indiqué que nous aurions dû confirmer l’heure de notre arrivée, alors que sur notre confirmation, les horaires d’ouverture de la réception étaient 10h30 -> 18h00 et qu’il était précisé de ne contacter la structure qu’en cas d’arrivée après 18h00.
Pour ne pas vivre ce type de désagrément mieux vaut confirmer de nouveau. Un geste commercial a été fait en nous offrant deux fois deux petits-déjeuners. Concernant la propreté, sur 6 nuitées le linge de toilette n’a été renouvelé que deux fois et les produits de toilette ne l’étaient pas quotidiennement non plus. Literie confortable. Et ambiance calme dans cet hébergement.

Leuke b en b dicht bij centrum van de stad. De vriendelijke eigenaar is erg behulpzaam. Kamer was netjes met airco en koelkast. Het is mogelijk om op de kamer koffie/thee te maken. Ontbijt was goed en voldoende. Laatste dag konden we de koffers daar laten. Jammer dat er op de kamer zonder badkamer geen wasbak is en dus altijd naar de gezamenlijke badkamer moet. B en b een aanrader.
