Nicest hostel I had ever seen. Really a hotel. Close to old town but far enough to be quiet. Large room and bathroom. Staff was pleasant and professional. Breakfast was huge for Europe: scrambled & boiled eggs, toast, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, vegetables, pastries and sweets, fruit, milk, coffee, juice. Elevator. Few steps. Not fancy but both nice and functional. Some British school groups when we were there.

Within days of making my initial booking, my plans changed, so I attempted to change my reservation to the following week in September, but Ulisse would not give any credit for the rooms that I had booked. And this was not a last-minute issue; I gave them over 7 weeks advance notice of my desire to change. I even offered to give up my two night booking in exchange for a single night lodging the following week, but they were adamant that they would not credit me anything for the two nights that I would be unable to be there, and I would have to sacrifice my initial rooms and book rooms the following week under a whole new reservation. I'm very disappointed with Ulisse's customer service, and shocked that they were so inflexible with helping me to change plans.

There is a little local owned sandwich/ gorcery store 1 minut walk. Beach is 10 - 15 minute walk away (free one ia quiet small but water is worth it!)

Must try the Piano Bar in the square! It is busy but worth the wait. They give free prosecco while you wait foe tour table and a ahot of digestibe ay the end od your meal. Tons of options for those that are gluten free!! Especially the spinach and ricotta ravioli.

The beds were extremely hard and old. The pillows very thin and hard. The check-in in team was wonderful friendly and accommodating. We had to book two separate stays due to an error on our end. They were able to combine the stay so we didn't have to move rooms. Amazing location.

After reading great reviews about this hotel, I knew we would enjoy our stay. However, it completely exceeded any expectations. A beautiful hotel (don’t let the word hostel put you off!) with huge rooms to stay in. The whole place was exceptionally clean, the staff were always happy to help and give recommendations and advice for our stay. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options, we aren’t every single morning! If we are fortunate enough to visit Sorrento again, we will absolutely stay here again for sure!

We were pleasantly surprised to stay at this property considering it is listed as a hostel. Definitely not the type of hostel you might have in mind. Beautiful entryway leading to a very clean room. Our room and bathroom were a decent size. The only complaint was that the bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. The bedspread was also very dated and could use an upgrade. Breakfast was included and had plenty of choices. The coffee from the automated machine was horrible so make sure you buy your good Italian coffee from a café nearby!

Very clean, spacious hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was a bit wary about booking as it said hostel but it is definitely not a hostel. Very short walk to main streets but as it is off the main street very quiet.

It is in a walkable area. We walked to dinner in Marina Grande and we walked to the hotel from the train station. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was updated. The breakfast is well worth the 10 euros per person.

The hotel, although called a hostel (which is misleading), is fantastic. Service, staff, location and room were wonderful. Large motel style room with full private amenities. Room included a free buffet breakfast (all you can eat). Great rates. Location is ideal - same level as shops and mall (so no walking up or down hills). Short walk (all flat) from railway station (careful of dodgy train from Naples - pickpockets ride the train). Hotel offered and arranged our tours - with hotel pickups. We had a wonderful week in Sorrento and the hotel was fabulous.

Ulisse was more of a lower end hotel than a hostel. It offered all the basic necessities we were looking for. Large facility with easy access to the Marina Grande area. Few minutes walk from Corso Italia (but situated at the opposite end of Corso Italia from Piazza Tasso and the train/bus stations). It was unclear at check-in whether we had access to the pool and other amenities. Breakfast had a decent amount of options but overall was underwhelming. Would return if aiming for basic accommodations with a great price point.

Disappointed with the building set up. There is a car park on the roof, which is open to the public and is noisy. This disturbed us with vibrations coming through to our rooms. Like a lot of hotels, the walls lack sound insulation so noise from neighbouring rooms are an issue. The view from the rooms aren’t good, nor is the dropping off point outside the entrance due to the narrow road the hotel is on. It is actually listed as a de-luxe Hostel rather than a hotel. Buffet breakfasts were extra, which cost €10 euros per person per day, which given the price of staying there was disappointing. The hostel offered a gym & swimming pool. You could only use the pool in the morning, which again was disappointing & cost another €10 even if you a resident. The location is fine, just off the Corsa Italia, which has excellent shops & eateries. Would we stay again? The answer has to be, no. Shame really, because all the staff & cleaners were brilliant.

Property was in a good location. Bed was hard and pillows very flat. Shower water would never get hot, only just warm. Shower over bath was quite high to climb into, it would be easy to slip. No kettle, cups or glasses in room to make a cup of tea or have a glass of water.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel . They call it a hostel but it was much more . Location was amazing and the staff helpful with every need that we had . Transportation and helping us confirm tour that we booked from home. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

We chose this hotel because it had an indoor pool (in March, most outdoor pools were still closed). Unfortunately, the pool was closed on Sundays; open til 2 other days. The pool is part of a health club, separate from the hotel, with 10 euro/person/day charge. They did not seem child friendly, and would only allow our kids in the pool at a certain time slot, and only with a swim cap. We gave up the idea of swimming and so cannot comment on the actual pools. It looked great for adults interested in exercise, but definitely not for leisure or families, or those who forgot to pack a swim cap.
