Think twice.

We found the hotel to be lacking in many areas. There was no phone in our room, and the phone in the room of our travel companions was out of order. Front desk didn't respond to our concern. Room wasn't cleaned when we returned at 3p after a full day of activities. We were told that the maid had spoken to us and said we didn't want it cleaned... not so. Front desk seemed reluctant to have it cleaned, but it did get done. Parking is limited and difficult. Pool is quite a walk away, not as portrayed in photos. The town is on a hill, so from the street, you must up a set of steep steps to get to the lobby, then up more steps to the building with the rooms, where there is finally an elevator. Doors had to be locked from outside when leaving. On several occasions our companions returned to find the room had been entered and left unlocked. Front desk was marginally helpful in solving a rental car problem. Beautiful view from balcony.

Great location but the rest disappointed somewhat

Advertised free parking is not available as they have 100+ rooms but only about 7 parking spaces so you'll have to park far away at a paid spot.
Hotel seems as a super old with an attempt to renew it but I cannot say they succeeded.
Breakfast was supposed to start at 7:30 but when we came at 7:30 sharp there was a bus-load of others already in mid of their breakfast and most food was gone but the selection was poor overall anyway.
Ota is a great place and this hotel is in a great spot.
The pool is 100m away from the hotel but the beach is much better anyway but 10 min walk.

Hotel is in the center of Porto and offers a parking which is valuable. Restaurants, bars and Genoise tower are a few minutes away.
When we checked-in, our room wasnt ready so we got upgraded right away which was very nice.

We thought we paid for a sea view but were advised we had a room with a mountain view at the back (rooms 3 & 4) which were awful. As if by magic there was a room with a sea view available which we had to pay extra for (15 euros a night) which was definitely worth paying. Once we were in a sea view room we had a great week for the price! Porto is absolutely charming and for the price the hotel was ok. Make sure you include breakfast when you book a it's 9 euros each per day. If there had been a small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities the hotel would have been much more to our needs. Also please replace the carpets in the rooms with tiles. This hotel does have free wifi and the pool is excellent with stunning views. All in all if you can get a room on the third floor (50-58) this hotel is great for a base. There is also a great selection of restaurants which were about £20 a head generally. It needs to be clearer which room you actually book as this could have been a disaster and appears to have happened before looking at other feedback.

A comfortable base for a week in Corsica

The Hotel Kalliste wanted another £114 to give us a sea view. We are SO glad that we did not pay it. They put us in a room facing east (room 5), with a balcony and a wonderful view of the mountains, Most rooms face west of south, the sea view comes with full-on sun, at its hottest. After the hotel manager agreed that we did not have proper internet coverage they offered us a room in the sun for free, no thanks. We could still access the internet from Reception.

If you stay in Porto and you do not come with pots on cash, you will want to include an element of self-catering. Breakfast is available at Hotel Kalliste for 9 euros, or slightly less in Porto. A very poor supper in Porto cost us 42.50 euros. There is a Spar supermarket in town (on the main road) selling food at British prices, more or less, so why not have a packed breakfast and lunch in the Marquis?

There is no kettle in the room so we bought one in Corte for 10 euros, so we could have a cup of tea when we wanted. The management kindly lent us mugs. The room was clean, with a plentiful supply of towels. The swimming pool is very clean and you can use hotel towels there. The balcony includes a table and chairs and we spent most evenings there.

Perhaps the worst down-side for Hotel Kalliste is the lack of parking space. The main car park is full by about 4pm and the overflow car park about two hours later. At that point, small cars can park on the access road or in Porto, where charges apply

We loved this place, the pool location surrounded by mountains is incredible. To get to the rooms you must climb about 2 flights of stairs, but there is an elevator after that. free parking but limited spaces, we parked the first night in front of the hotel for 1 euro. Porto is not to be missed. there are plenty of restaurants nearby, a Stoney beach, boat trips and incredible views. I suggest paying extra for a sea view room with a balcony.

Very basic hotel , rooms basic, though air conditioning worked very well. no bar/lounge facilities avail . Parking can be a problem, on a first come first served basis, have stayed here previously a couple of years ago for the one night and returned again this year for one night. It is okay for the one or two night . It is a pity as the hotel itself is in a lovely location looking onto bay and may benefit from lounge facilities for guests to sit and have a drink/coffee and enjoy the view

Worn down hotel, and perhaps not what you would think of as a 3 star hotel. Has a really nice swimmingpool that is located outside the hotel area, but definitively worth the 3 minute walk there. Do not buy the breakfast! Hugely dissapointing! You only get one croissant and one tiny tiny baguette (with nothing on). The only selections are jam and butter,so you're better off buying your breakfast elsewhere. Also they stop serving breakfast at 9.30, which I think is too early when on a holiday.

Great service with a smile, is 3* & fits that bill

Staff very friendly and helpful in all respects. We went out of season (or just beginning of) so restaurant closed but lots of other options right on your doorstep so no issue plus we like to spread love and happiness across the local community so always look to eat somewhere different. We would have done this even if the hotel had its restaurant open with many other choices readily accessible. Breakfast which we had one day at the hotel was bit pricey one for what it was and two lots of competition at better values.

Hotel is 3* and fits this criteria. Has a fabulous view over the bay but then so do many others although I don't know at what cost. Cost was good in terms of overall package. Hotel was flexible and catered for late arrivals which is important to us when maximizing time for a long weekend. Decor was OK given 3* but could easily give it a more updated feel by spending relatively little money on home furnishings - bed covers, lamps, wall hangings, curtains, cushions et al, although carpet really needs to be updated too. Bathrooms are also outdated but if you freshen up other aspects this would be less of an issue as the colour scheme is not offensive. Difficult times but could easily spruce up to increase overall appeal in my view.

Hotel's neighbor was burning dried leaves during the day, including over the weekend (with unpleasant smoke and smell coming through windows) and had no consideration for the hotel's guests. Hotel's management should have been more proactive in addressing this inconvenience.

The view was worth a million dollars. We stayed on the top floor and could see forever. Problem was that our room was 113 steps from the bottom and the elevator did not work. The TV was broken and the telephone did not work. For the price, I guess you could say that it was OK!?!

Nous avons pu accéder à notre chambre plus tôt que prévu, ce qui a été très appréciable après le voyage. Le personnel est vraiment aimable et accueillant. La chambre, avec sa vue sur la mer, était très agréable et surtout très calme. Tous les équipements annoncés étaient bien présents : terrasse, piscine, télévision, baignoire, sèche-cheveux… Rien ne manquait. Le top !

L'hotel si trova nella zona marina di Porto, dove ci sono tantissimi ristoranti. La spiaggia e il porticciolo. Bellissima vista sul golfo al tramonto. Camera moderna e comoda. Unica pecca il water che è posizionato in un piccolissimo spazio separato dal bagno. Comodo e ampio parcheggio gratuito.
La colazione è essenziale e cara. Meglio andare in un bar in zona

Arrivés en avance : pas d’indications de l’arrivée d’un groupe de motards et quasi privatisation d’un parking d’accès aux chambres.
Chambre 46 certes avec vue sur mer mais un sèche-cheveux qui ne fonctionne pas, un lit inconfortable : une vraie cuvette.
Pas de plateau de courtoisie
Une piscine belle et bien équipée éloignée de l’hôtel d’au moins cent mètres : il faut en tenir compte suivant les personnes souhaitant réserver.

Le strict minimum pour une nuit de passage : mais pas plus.
Étonnant pour un 3 étoile

Très bon accueil. Dommage que la réception ne soit accessible que par des escaliers (environ un étage). Chambre assez grande et confortable, malgré une isolation phonique à revoir, avec des rangements bien conçus. Les toilettes séparées sont appréciables bien qu'un peu exiguës. Une jolie petite terrasse avec vue sur le magnifique golfe de Porto. Et une belle piscine privée dans un petit parc séparé dans un cadre de montagne somptueux.

Hotel vicinissimo al centro del paese e ai ristoranti. In ottime condizioni e con tutto perfettamente funzionante. La stanza era ampia con due spazi separati per water e zona da bagno. Anche la presenza delle tapparelle, che consentono di oscurare la stanza anche al mattino, è stata da me molto gradita. Il parcheggio è un po' scomodo (per raggiungerlo bisogna fare una ripida salita), ma essendo nel centro non si può pretendere di più.

très bien situé et une piscine sympa, du personnel de service dévoué MAIS 1ère chambre déjà occupée par des punaises de lit, 2ème chambre proposée de suite avec des sièges de balcon délabrés et surtout du Caca (vous avez bien lu) sur un mur des wc, 3ème chambre proposée mais le ménage n'avait pas été fait car les toilettes étaient encore souillées d'urine...après des heures de perdues un ménage réalisé on pouvait enfin profiter de la vue panoramique du golf de Porto.
A notre départ, l'Hôtelière a réalisé un geste à notre égard, elle nous a offert les taxes de séjour en expliquant la difficulté à avoir du personnel compétent !.
Bref un hôtel sans étoiles, contrairement à ce qui est présenté, en plein délabrement, quel dommage.

J'ai passé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel. La vue est superbe surtout de la piscine. Mais les chambres sont décevantes et à rénover. Le ménage est vite fait, poubelles non vidées, poils dans la baignoire à notre arrivée et sol non lavé. Petit déjeuner impeccable.

Ne pas y aller. Seul l'emplacement, la vue,et la piscine sont appréciable. Personnel non avenant, alors que l'on était en galère avec une voiture électrique : il suffisait de nous prêter une rallonge standard pour 6H. Petit déjeuner avec du Kiri comme fromage ! et pas de charcuterie comme prévue. L'escalier qui monte en extérieur au chambre : pas d'interrupteur. Dans les chambres : on entend ses voisins : TV, ronflement, on les entends également parler avec un volume convenable : problème d'insonorisation+++/ Peinture carrelée au plafond juste au dessus du lit et sur la terrasse/ VMC des toilettes sales/ 2 portes ne fermaient pas car le bois a gonflé probablement. Et pour finir, il ne prennent que de l'espece..... Fuyez !!!!

Vacances en Corse, déçu par l’hotel Kalise :: belle vue de la chambre, hôtel bien situé, mais les draps de lit et les taies d’oreiller étaient sales, pire, elles sentaient vraiment mauvais. Il a fallu dormir sur nos serviettes de bain et parfumer le lit !
Lorsque nous en avons parlé à l’accueil en présentant une taie d’oreiller, la personne s’est fendu d’un « Ah bon !
La propreté est pourtant le critère N°1 dans l’hôtellerie.

Hotel mit miserablen Zimmern für Expedia-Kunden

Wir hatten ein total abgewohntes Zimmer in der 1. Etage des Altbaus. Als wir um ein Zimmer im Neubau baten, erhielten wir vom Chef die Auskunft, dass Expedia-Kunden immer Zimmer im Altbau bekommen. Seine barsche Erwiderung: This is not a palace, but a 3 star hotel!
Unsere Kritikpunke:
1) Zimmertür war richtig schmutzig, ebenso der Toilettensitz
2) Die \"Terrasse\" entpuppte sich als ein halb zugemauerter Verschlag, nur 1 Person konnte sitzen.
Im Neubau haben alle Zimmer einen schönen Balkon mit Tisch und 2 Stühlen.
3) Im Bad gibt es keinerlei Ablage.
4) Es war im Altbau kein Aufzug vorhanden, man musste die Koffer selbst schleppen.
5) Der kostenlose Hotel-Parkplatz war voll, wir mussten öffentlich parken.
6) Das Internet funktionierte nicht im Zimmer, sondern nur auf der Frühstücksterrasse.
Positiv:
Großer Pool mit schöner Aussicht. Allerdings muss man weit laufen, der Pool ist außerhalb des Hotels.
Wir können dieses Hotel absolut nicht empfehlen!

L'hôtel est très bien situé. Ma chambre, vendue pour une vue mer, avait vraiment une vue mer. Je n'ai pas testé la piscine de l'hôtel, mais suis allé à la plage à 5 minutes de marche de là, en passant par le vieux centre pittoresque. Le personnel était très aimable.

Hôtel bien placé au bout d'une route menant à la mer, avec restaurants et commerces à proximité directe. Si le parking est plein, possibilité de se garer au parking en bas. Par contre l'enseigne de l'hôtel n'est pas lumineuse nous avons eu du mal à le repérer en arrivant de nuit, pourtant l'hôtel est grand. Il y a une jolie piscine avec vue. Pas d'ascenseur dans le bâtiment principal. La chambre était sommaire mais avec une jolie vue. Le pommeau de douche était cassé mais nous l'avons signalé, espérons qu'ils l'aient changé depuis.

Un peu inquiet avant de venir, après avoir lu certains commentaires.
L'hôtel est composé de 2 bâtiments, nous avons logé dans celui du haut, je n'ai pas vu le plus bas.
Notre bâtiment a été rénové récemment. Les finitions ne sont pas parfaites (pb de fermeture de porte) mais c'est tout de même correct et très fonctionnel. Grande sdb. Les petits déjeuner sont simples, rien à dire.
Voilà pour le négatif.
Le prix est très correct en haute saison, la situation est juste idéale. La vue des balcons et de la terrasse des petits déjeuners est à couper le souffle. La vue depuis la piscine est aussi grandiose.
Toujours réussi à se garer dans les 3 zones de stationnement, alors que ça paraît très compliqué dans Porto.
A refaire.

sympatique mais peut mieux faire ...

hôtel sympathique malgré un parking difficile d accès et espacement réduit pour chaque véhicule.
petits déjeuners absolument pas à la hauteur d un établissement trois étoiles: pain décongelé ,quelques viennoiseries emballées et quelques tranches de salami .;dommage .
dans la chambre l 'accès au wc est très difficile et l espace très réduit nécessite de faire de la gymnastique pour fermer la porte ..
