Very comfortable hotel, with fabulous views over the water. Wonderful location with St Mark's and other main sights all close by. Also situated right next to a waterbus stop making journey to airport, Murano, Burano and rest of Venice extremely easy. Staff were friendly and very helpful throughout. Very good breakfast with lots of choice of hot and cold dishes, and gluten-free bread as standard.

Room was in good condition but was very tight quarters for 2 adults and 2 kids. Not much room to move around in the room itself. It was hot in the room at night with no way to control temperature, so we had to keep windows open but then the bell tower would ring in the morning and wake us. Additionally, pillows were hard and so sleep was not restful. Breakfast was not included in our price. On a positive note, the hotel location was perfectly convenient, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and room cleaning/turnover was good.

The room was always beautifully cleaned, the staff was polite and helpful. Since I am not very mobile and use a walker, the day before we left, a boy went to see us off at the water bus stop because we didn't know where it was. Thank you very much for your kindness.

Staff was great, breakfast was very good. The shower, bidet and sink water didn't drain properly. Water was just sitting there as I'm brushing my teeth and have to stare at the toothpaste water, spit, etc... Same with the shower, didn't drain and I am having to stand in bath scum water.

The hotel is a 3 star, with a friendly Staff and lovely room decorated in dark moody colours. We found the room a bit too warm, but were unable to get the air conditioner to work. Leaving the window open was not a good choice due to the middle of the night visitors in the street outside. Breakfast at the companion hotel was lovely with great options. Great location, close to San Marco square.

Clean room, friendly and accommodating staffs. They communicated well and respond at the right time.
Didn’t realized that after an elevator there would be stairs and few more steps around to get to the room instead of straight one ride on the elevator.
Glass window in the bathroom is still see through.

In the heart of it all

Only stayed one night due to a canceled flight, but we had a great time. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Very small but it’s Venice so understandable. Water taxi from the airport drops you off about 75 steps from the front door.

Great front desk folks as they are open 24 hours and kept our luggage while we are away. They are very knowledge able about the surrounding restaurants, especially the vaporetto timings (ferry/boat) and they called and booked a table for us, as they are such a nice people. I can stay again just because of the front desk folks.

The location is awesome!! Right along the grand canal and steps away from the vaporetto which was very convenient especially if you have luggages. The breakfast was really good with plenty of choices although it’s in a different building it’s not far from the hotel. Our room was on the ground floor facing the courtyard. There’s really not much of anything looking out but who cares if you can walk right out to the grand canal! Room is decent size, we had 2 check in size luggages and had enough room for it. It was weird that the room was next to a bathroom but we weren’t bothered by it.

I wasn’t happy with a/c and I stayed in lobby the morning we where going to check out while my family visited the area, my daughter brought me something to eat and I was asked to eat my food in the back room because they didn’t want customers seeing me eat in the lobby. Unwelcome Treatment and Poor Follow-Up Service

Our stay was unfortunately disappointing. While the staff seemed polite at first, they were ultimately unhelpful whenever we needed anything. We also experienced several inappropriate and sarcastic remarks that appeared to be made simply because we're American, which made us feel unwelcome.

To make matters worse, we accidentally left a pair of slippers in the room. When we called, we were told they had been found. When I asked if the slippers could be mailed to us since we were already at the airport, they claimed the slippers came from another room but that wasn't true of we were still coming.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel, I got deluxe room with lagoon view and it was totally worth it. I just wish I had a tub, but other than that thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The room was comfortable and clean and spacious, and the staff was extremely helpful. It is very conveniently located near a water bus stop as well as the stop for the water bus to the airport. Far enough from the main crowds, but close enough to walk over would highly recommend this.A hotel to anyone looking for a great stay in Venice.

Affordable Room in a Great Location

Can't beat the location just 3 minutes from St. Mark's. Staff was friendly, but the room was incredibly tiny, the floor was not level and the mattress was thin and uncomfortable. No breakfast included.

My 50th Birthday Celebration!

The cleanliness of the room was acceptable, but considering the price charged (£140.68, excluding taxes and fees), we trust and don’t mind paying when the photos provide a positive impression, especially with an online reservation.
It was my first time in Venice, for my birthday! However, the room size for a couple was quite disappointing.
The space was so cramped that, for my husband to pass toward the bathroom, I had to wait on the other side of the bed.
The passageway couldn’t accommodate two people at once, which was very uncomfortable.
I was particularly disappointed due to my fear of small spaces. I would not recommend the Double Room in the Annex of this hotel for couples.

Lovely gem in Venice

We went to Venice to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. What a lovely quaint hotel right by the waterfront. An easy walk to all the main well known buildings. River taxis to everywhere (including the airport) outside the hotel front door, a lovely restaurant for breakfast just around the corner. We had an attic room, views of the lagoon at the front, old Venice at the back.

This place was perfect for our 1 night stay. The staff was great at communicate via email and in person. They directed us on how to use the Vaporetto to get from the train station to the hotel. The rooms were clean and the bed was super comfortable. We were with a 10min walk to everhthing. And the Vaporetto stop was a minute from the hotel.

The hotel is in a great location in the heart of it all, overlooking the lagoon and close to St. Mark's Square. We had the first floor room which was economical but has no view and is very small. That said, the room was surprisingly quiet and also clean and well appointed. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Paganelli and would definitely return, but with a room upgrade!

The staff was terrible. I almost missed my flight as a result that there was nobody in the front desk to check out. The front door was locked so you couldn’t get out. I had to go searching for a staff member who was in another bldg. i happened to find a door open in the back of the hotel and located the staff member. In case of any fire, this would be a fire hazard. Also the room was infested with black tiny spiders on the floor. The toilet would not fill up with water after flushing. I had to play with the flushing mechanism in order to fill the tank. Wifi very slow. All in all a bed experience. Will not go there again and will not recommend ever. Location was good however. Only positive.

The staff members are exceedingly helpful and personable. The go out of their way to ensure that guests have a good experience. We loved the location (near the water taxi drop-off and all major sites). The room was a bit small and could have benefited from more lighting, but it was air conditioned and quite comfortable.

Delayed flights got us to airport after the water bus had stopped running. The hotel arranged a water taxi for us at 2am. Location of hotel is so close to everything we wanted to see. The stairways were a little 'crazy' but easy enough to navigate with our bags. Room was clean - Bed was comfortable. A/C was decent since it was over 90F when we were there. Thank you for a nice stay.

Property location, breakfast and staff all are great. Property is too old. We had problem with the room key card, and staff could not resolve so they gave us traditional key (after spending many attempts). Our room was on the 3rd level and the elevator does not reach the same level of our room so was tedious to get our 3 luggages to and from the room. I will not use this place again!

My daughter found nail clippings on the floor and the front desk did not seem to take it serious.
One day they forgot to make our room.
Breakfast was very good but the oriental mid age lady that takes care of it wa every rude. The other room we had had a great view of the lagoon

Convention location, great breakfast, one of the 2 rooms we had was in the bottom floor and was very noisy, my daughter also found nail clippings on the floor. We showed to the front desk and they claim it was my daughters !!! One day they forgot to clean our room and we had to remind them. The bravado was very good but the lady that takes care of it was very rude (an oriental mid age lady)

Excellent location steps away from St Marks square and right in front of the vaporetto water taxi station. Excellent breakfast included and the lady working at that restaurant was extremely nice and welcoming.
Rooms are very old and dark it would be great to paint it white replace the curtains with white drapes to show the character of beams and the furniture. For group of 4 don’t get the room that sleeps 4 get 2 separate rooms it costs the same. No iron in the room and I recommend taking your own shampoo and conditioner.

The location of the property is great. Just in front of the water taxi stop and next to St. Mark's basilica however the hotel looks very old. Very small room and very small shower. Hardly any place to move around.

Tiny, tiny, tiny. No space to put anything. Towels in the bathroom? Nope. My wife's makeup? Nope. Someplace for empty luggage? Nope. No tissues in the room. I asked staff for tissues and they acted like dragons flew out of my eyes. No sir, we don't have-a no tissues. Last style update maybe 1980. Padded walls! Poor lighting. Dingy and poorly maintained. The toilet flush button cover kept falling off. I could go on but bottom line is this is the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. Positives? Comfortable bed (but thin, dense pillows). Great shower (but again, no place to hang towels). Nice and professional staff.

Spacious room and helpful staff.

Very nice stay. This hotel was super close to St. Mark’s Square and right ON the Grand Canal. The staff was very helpful getting me onto a boat tour of the islands. The room itself was really nice and spacious.
