We were upgraded to the Breton Arms property, which is much nicer than the Lodge. Still way behind the Omni Mount Washington Resort. Dining is very difficult. Reservations need to be made waaay in advance. And there isn’t anywhere else to eat. We had to buy a pizza 30 miles away and take it back to our room, so we could eat at a normal time.

Only an average hotel.

The front desk staff at check in was kind of a jerk and not very welcoming. She made a comment about me using an outside agency to make my booking. It was kind of a put down. Our room was not ready for us when we arrived at 3:30 in the afternoon. House keeping was still cleaning it. We had to wait until 4:15 before she would give us our key or tell us where we were staying. The airconditioning was not working very well and the room temperature would rise over night making it hard to sleep (76 degrees). In the day time it was down around 73 degrees which was okay. It's an old hotel and could use some updating. The carpet in our room was probably over 20 years old. The bedding was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and was up to date. The bellman that we delt with were very nice, helpfull and welcoming. The pool and on site restaurants were great. The food was really great and the best part of our stay. The back porch is wonderful and has a great view.

There is nothing at Bretton woods besides the hotel and ski mountain. There are no other restaurants or food stores. Couldn’t get reservations at the hotel. Ended up having to order take out from the hotel restaurants and eat in out room. Disappointed

This property is at a nice location overlooking the Omni Hotel at Mt. Washington, but it definitely needs a lot of remodeling. The towels feel dirty and there was a pile of dirty laundry and trash that was left next to the building during our entire stay presumably due to lack of staff or holiday weekend. Not to mention multiple complaints on no internet connection and at the end of our stay, the wifi was still not working. We did get wifi credit back but wish they could do better. The place is definitely not worth the amount that we paid for.

First the property was horribly overpriced. The room was in very poor condition. Broken/chipped bathroom counter top, tub had signs of mold. Old microwave that was dented.
The issue is that the Lodge is part of the Omni group and that are a high end lodge provided/property. Knowing we were not staying at the main hotel this property was nothing short of a big disappointment. We would put this property in a catagory of a run down ski lodge. If we could rate this a minus we would gladly do so. The property should not be a part of Expedia's offering--especially at the price paid!

Don't stay here, not worth it.

We stayed here because it was the closest option to the Cog train. NOT worth the high price charged. Just like a motel. No coffee in room, NOBODY on site at all. You have to go to main resort across the road to check in. Also, the sink in our bathroom was plugged, killed 3 spiders the next morning in the bathroom. Plus, we were put on the first floor, so the view was of everyone's cars parked right in front of us.

The property is a great inexpensive option that allows you to use all the services of the Mount Washington Hotel and it’s just across the street.
The meals at the Mount Washington Hotel were very good, but in my opinion not worth the price they charge for them. Even taking into account the ambiance, which granted, is superb, they are still overpriced.

The Lodge is located at the bottom of the hill from Mount Washington. It is an older property but not as old as Mount Washington hotel. It was very comfortable and clean. Could use some updating but then that would drive the cost up. This area is huge and so much to do here. Very beautiful

We stayed at the Lodge for 2 nights, as we were doing a day hike up Mt Washington. It isn't the fanciest hotel, but it was very clean and was just what we needed for the weekend. The beds were quite comfy! The only thing I didn't like was that we had to drive across the street to the larger hotel to check in; there is no staff stationed at the Lodge. (Not sure if this is standard, or due to Covid)

The lodge is directly across the street from The Mount Washington Hotel - where you will probably spend some quality time. The lodge itself is bare-bones, much like a basic motel. There was no staff on site. We didn't even have a way to make coffee in the AM. In contrast, the main hotel across the street, about a 15-minute walk, door to door, is magnificent and the location of the lodge couldn't be better. The area is spectacular, with so much to do. If you are looking for an economical way to stay in the area, the Lodge works. But it might be worth the splurge to stay at the hotel across the street.

The mini fridge was very loud and the dead lock on the door was stiff..I had to basically hip check it to lock it. To be fair, I didn’t report these problems... my visit was very short and I was under time pressure. Beautiful location!

Disappointing Stay

We were going skiing at Brettonwoods and there are no other motel options. Everything is own by Omni Mt Washington Hotel. They also charge you an extra resort fee for each day you stay. We were able to use the outdoor pool at the Mt. Washington hotel but it was no 80 degrees. It was cold! That was too bad. We then went inside and used indoor pool which wasn’t that clean as well as hot tub and that wasn’t very clean and I think temp was like 110 degrees. Extremely hot. I didn’t find the hotel personnel friendly. The employees and guests were very snobbish. Now where we stayed the hotel
Room was very small and definitely needs updating as well as cleaning. We had a small refrigerator that didn’t really work they provide no microwave and no coffee maker or single k-cup. Also if you need an ice machine there is 1 machine good luck finding it. It was very disappointing stay! from the outside it looks really nice but the inside and what they charge for the room is a rip off. So if you are a coffee drinker like we are, don’t bother looking for Dunkin Donuts or McDonalds because they are nowhere to be found. I guess you have to drive to Mt. Washington hotel for a $10 coffee or wait til go you go skiing. It appears they own everything up in Brettonwoods. We won’t be back! Plenty of other mountains to choose from. We do love Brettonwoods skiing and we found the personnel at the mountain to be very friendly. I did treat myself to a $12 Mai tai. Don’t waste your money there

Get what you pay for....

If you want a romantic get away to the white mountains this is not the place you want to stay. We stayed here because it was the cheapest option. The Mt Washington Hotel was charging alot more a night. This a outdated hotel with failing fixtures and outdated décor. The light outside our room and the sprinkler system in the hallway outside had icicles hanging from them. The amenities (pool, gym, breakfast) were not open possibly due to covid which was disappointing. The heating system is wonky. The bathroom maintains a temperature over 100 degrees. The room is warm even after turning down the thermostat. We saw our neighbors with their door open many times probably due to the weird heating.

Check-in was at the Omni Washington which was a bit confusing at first. Friendly service and very helpful. The property is a bit rundown and there's no coffee maker in the rooms. You can hear creaking in the building and the beds sag in the middle which make sleeping difficult if you're a light sleeper.

I liked the Mt Washington resort across the street.. (which owns the Lodge we stayed in) until I got my bill. There were 2 extra ($35) charges for “hotel fees” which were added on without my knowledge and I still have no idea why. The only thing I used them for was a pool key and they printed my lift tickets. I feel like I was charged for one if not both of those somehow. As if a $200 dinner for two wasn’t enough.

Fairly clean, spacious facility tucked away in the White Mountain region of northern NH. The heated pool and showers were unique to this property and a great way to relax after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. The only drawback was that there wasn't a cafetaria on site where you could order from the comfort of your room. You had to run across the street to White Mountain Resort to grab a bite to eat....

My family has been coming to this resort for the past five years and this trip was extremely disappointing. Of course there were COVID restrictions which we understood. I called asking what was closed etc. because there was no information on the website and they only explained one of the bars were closed. Failed to mentioned that both of the huge fireplaces and seating areas in the common areas were completely blocked off. There were multiple weddings all weekend which took away from the only bar that was open due to rehearsal dinners. Both of the fire pits were also blocked off for the private weddings. Leaving no fire pits for regular guests. Additionally the shuttle service was closed due to COVID which they do not make clear before you get there. This was the worst experience we have ever had. Unless you are visiting for a wedding I suggest rebooking when restrictions are lifted or wedding season is over. Wedding guests were the only people allowed to use any amenities.

We paid $350 for a hotel room that was dirty and outdated. Then on top of that there wasn’t even anyone at our Lodge to check us in or answer questions. We had to go check in a mile up the road. Ice machine broken, no shuttle, no food. Staff tried to tell us at the main hotel they wouldn’t sit us for dinner, when there is literally no where else to eat within 20 minutes. Maybe if I were at a super 8 I would expect that but this was ridiculous for that kind of money. I’ve been traveling all over New England for work this year with COVID And this overpriced “lodge” was by far the worst experience of the year. Don’t waste your money or time.

Shame on you Mount Washington

We booked the Lodge, but was told upon arrival they were shutting down, we were upgraded to the mount washington hotel. Nice stay, but upon check out we had an $6. charge for coffee on our bill. We explained the girl in the coffee shop was being trained and mistakenly put this on our room even though we paid her by credit card. The front desk would only remove it with roof of a receipt. I had to go through my luggage to find the receipt then was kept waiting for an approval from a manager. For the money that we spend over 3 days this was ridiculous. Shame on you Mount Washington!

I had booked a 3 night stay at this \"lodge\" for a wedding we were attending and could not have had a worse experience. I would not stay in this establishment for free, you are better off pitching a tent! We were moved to 3 different rooms due to each one smelling horrible and being absolutely filthy! Once we finally had a decent room the bathroom ceiling fell in during the night and water leaked all over the floor and broken ceiling tile. I ended up walking through the wet ceiling tile material in the middle of the night and got it stuck to the bottom of my feet and had to scrape it off. To top it off this awful \"dump\" made me pay for the night because \"I stayed there and they provided lodging\" I ended up moving to the resort across the road the next day and the experience there was much better. The customer service at this establishment is awful to say the least! DO NOT STAY HERE....STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!

Outside entry, good bed, nice pool, and fitness center (although I didn’t use). Resort shuttle available on demand. I don’t like the $35 resort fee when I’m only there to ski but the midweek rate isn’t bad, so total is tolerable. I’ve stayed at the 3 hotels and condos annually over the past 3 decades and always have good time.

They boast having several amenities that are actually a part of the Mount Washington hotel. Yes, you may use them but that requires taking a shuttle across and in the winter it’s less desirable if you’re wanting a swim. The rooms have only outside access and when we arrived the entire system was down, requiring a member of their team to bring us to our room every time we wanted to leave and return. It was an extreme inconvenience seeing as our room was on the opposite side of the main entrance. The water was cold the morning before going out to ski and their response was that “multiple people must be showering at that time”. The staff were friendly; unfortunately, for the cost of the place and the number of issues, I won’t be staying there again.

Very disapointed with The Logde at Bretton Woods. When the baseboard heater is rusted in the bathroom, it kind of gives you a hint that the bathroom should have been renovated a while ago and that the carpet might be a tad humid - Ladies, bring your flattening iron! Frankly at that price, I wasn't expecting paper thin walls, dead bugs stuck on the ceiling and clearly visible caked-on dust behind the headboard. On the plus side, the service was courteous and you'll have guest access to the amenities of the great Washington Hotel on the other side of the road. Might be worth while to spend your day at the Hotel, if you don't mind the less than perfect night at The Lodge.

Hotel rooms are a little dated and could use a makeover but mine was pretty clean, bedding very clean. Free coffee is from a machine in lobby and not so good. You can take a shuttle to Omni mountain resort and take advantage of their amenities.

The front desk employee when we checked in was very helpful and worked it out so we could check in early. There are also many activities at the Resort across the road that are available, some for free. Great location.

Mt. Washington visit

The shuttle service to main hotel was great! Never moved my car. The scenery was terrific, use of all the facilities of the Mt Washington Hotel made it a wonderful stay!

Bloody sheets on multiple beds

While the location is beautiful with a great view of the mountains and gorgeous resort across the street, the cleanliness of the room was concerning at best. On both beds in our room, each duvet cover had dried blood stains. When we called down to the front desk to let them know about this, it took quite some time for them to bring up a replacement sheet so that we could sleep under some sort of cover in the run. As a compensation, they offered to take off a resort fee for the evening. Additionally, they offered a small gift certificate to go towards a restaurant on site. Since we were only staying for the one night, as we were taking our children to Storyland early the next morning (and the blood stain was discovered when we were putting the kids to bed that evening), we were not able to put the voucher to use. When my husband questioned whether they could extend the ONE day expiration on the gift certificate so that we could use it during a future visit, he was told that was not a possibility. We were surprised to see that they wouldn’t prefer to have us come back again at a later time to have a repeat customer. Definitely not impressed with either the cleanliness or the customer service. I would not recommend this location.
