My new favorite hotel! We absolutely love this hotel! The staff are incredibly helpful. The food is delectable. The gym is perfect for anyone who enjoys lifting while on vacation. And, the location is nestled perfectly between the beach and excellent seafood restaurants. We actually canceled our trip to islands and stayed.

I was disappointed with my recent stay at Divani Hotel. The manager, a thin man with dark hair, was very rude, and the front desk staff were not very welcoming or accommodating. The hotel’s website claims there is a free shuttle to Athens, but this is not true, which was very misleading. Breakfast was only average – the buffet used to be much better in the past. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations, especially compared to previous visits.

Beautiful facility that offers upscale beach, pool, gym and wonderful close by restaurants. But the day of my Son's wedding, I as well as many of our guests requested an iron and we were all informed that none were available. When one becomes available, we would be notified.
This never occurred. We also rented a suite for that day. and it did provide a steamer.So we all took turns freshening up our clothes for the wedding. I expected a bit more for this high price point.

Last year, we noticed a few hiccups—reduced staffing, less attentiveness around the pool, and some decline in room quality. But this year, everything changed—for the better!
From the moment we checked in, the warm and genuine Greek hospitality returned. We felt that traditional “home” feeling we’ve always loved. The rooms were spotless and, as always, offered breathtaking views of the ocean.
The pool area has been completely redone and looks absolutely stunning. The entire space feels refreshed and inviting. The staff—especially Denai and Petros, along with others whose names escape me—were incredible. They anticipated our needs before we even asked. Their attentiveness and care made us feel truly valued.
Evenings at the bar and restaurant were a highlight. Great atmosphere, excellent food, and exceptional service.

This property was beautiful!l, we loved the pools! We were checking in with two friends whom also had booked this hotel post cruise. They were treated VERY differently upon check in than we were, clearly the hotel prefers direct bookings over Expedia bookings. Aside from that, it was a wonderful experience.

Property is beautiful. Front desk personnel are very good. Breakfast was very good. My major complaint is that service at breakfast for coffee or to get lunch at the poolside cafe was very poor. I waited 20 mins for my coffee 2x during my stay. I waited 20 mins for someone to come over to my table at lunch time by poolside cafe. My room was not cleaned very well. They left dirty glasses of wine for days. Finally the beach needs to be cleaned better. A lot of seaweed. They don’t start cleaning until 9am. Someone should be cleaning the beach at 7am every morning. Amazing hotel but needs better service

The most disappointing hotel I have had the misfortune to stay. I asked to postpone my 3 day visit to 1 day as my father had been taken ill (89 years old with dementia) but they refused to assist.
Check in was smooth enough. Day 1 was ok but Day 2 was when all went down hill to the point where I left after the 2nd night. Forfeiting the 3rd night that was pre-paid.
Break fast was average. I went to the hotel's private beach bar. I asked for a small bottle of water. I was told to pay 3 euros for a 333ml plastic bottle which is illegal in Greece. When I refused to pay the 3 beach boy waiters advised that I had to pay as management would deduct the 3 Euros from their salary. Truth or Lies? Who knows?
I then asked for a glass of tap water and was told by another older waiter that I would have to walk over to the bar (10 metres away) to get it myself.
There were other lesser incidents throughout Day 2 including a small 500ml water allowance per day per room (in hot hot Greece?) and front desk staff that during a conversation, stopped with my enquiry to assist another guest that appeared arrived later, but the 'tap water' incident at the beach was the last straw. I packed, left that afternoon to another hotel that is truly 5 Star (not this disaster) where the staff were shocked of what I had experienced at the Divani Apollon. This hotel is no more than 3-4 stars charging 5 star prices. Avoid at all costs!!

Bathroom smelled upon checkin; tv screen was dark; bed end table lamp didn't work; sliding door got stuck after initially opening; no \"daily\" menu specials at the pool rest-only on the wknds now apparently; pool rest doesn't offer chicken fingers anymore; no more slushies or ice cream by the pool. Less staff overall. During our stay, there was a convention. Guests had gotten intoxicated by outdoor bar/sitting area-they were spitting on the tiled patio floor. One of the evenings, the ladies room downstairs had vomit all over one of the stalls. Staff immediately addressed though.

Did not like smoking in restaurants in the hotel. Breakfast staff seemed too busy to help and just took items off our table without asking us. Listed as a 5*, should be closed indefinitely, knocked down & start again from fresh. We are a family of 5, booked this trip specifically to celebrate our Mother's 60th Birthday, as she always wanted to visit Greece.
Based on the experience we had at this hotel, it's enough to put you off revisiting the country, but we're not small-minded people.
Where shall we start? Maybe I'll just make a list..upon check in, the entire front desk crew ignored us in favour of some corporates checking out, so we had to ask a few times to be served. We had to approach the desk where a woman just sits next to the till staring at you & ask for menus, the table to be set etc so we felt like we were at a restaurant. Better service at Wetherspoons, honestly & much tastier food. I ordered the turkey patties & the waitress said there'd be olives, a salad etc served with, nope- just the patties. After eating here, we all had stomach pains & ruined our holiday for a few days. Needs refurbishment but housekeeping try. Ate at the restaurant on our last day, our father (with mobility issues) had to approach the desk for us to eat & be served x 2, waited 1hr for our incomplete order & paid too much.
Based on the experience we had at this hotel, it's enough to put you off revisiting the country, but we're not small-minded people.
