The only good thing about this hotel is the staff's service; the two cleaning ladies and the young woman in the restaurant are very attentive. And the breakfast…Unfortunately, this hotel is not in a condition to host guests—it is falling apart. I stayed there for four nights with my husband and children, and we suffered in the heat because the air conditioning didn't work. The shower lacked sufficient water pressure, so we couldn't bathe properly; everything was broken or in disrepair. There is no phone to call if you need something; you have to wait until morning for a response via WhatsApp. One night we arrived at the hotel,
and the room was full of water because the A/C was leaking and not working—a disaster. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Clean room, staff delightful, very good breakfast that includes protein and fruit. We did not need to use air conditioning and had windows open which was lovely.The garden setting by the river was really nice and relaxing.I wanted to stay longer. We’ll be back.

There was no hot water, no wifi in our room and we couldn't watch tv because the remote would only turn it on. And the shower was dirty. We tried two other rooms. One had not been cleaned and the other also did not have hot water. The grounds of the property are clean. The staff was nice but not helpful.

The room was really clean. Air conditioning not working, no phone in room and no internet even though multiple passwords were given at front desk. Shower not working. Mini fridge disgustingly dirty. Had to drive up 4 times to front desk and complain. After 5 hours of complaints, we were changed to another room. Still no AC, just a ceiling fan that did not suffice. No tv remote controls and no phone access in this room. Floor from bathroom had debris from tiles from Ceiling in bathroom On the second day, we were not told of a scheduled pool maintenance but was told it was going to be ready by midday…..still at 9pm it wasn’t ready. Yes they state they have 7 pools but the main pool was much more convenient as two others are located down many many steps down a hill and difficulty to get to due to health reasons - the other 4 had no water, lol. Staff very courteous - food was amazing. Manager offered a free cocktail after many complaints (wow) thank you. After manager finding out that I was the one taking her parking spot, we spoke briefly and she offered two more nights. We were done and over it already after two nights and left. Will not stay here again!

This is a very beautiful, unique property with a river running right through the middle of it. There is a bridge to cross over, various areas to explore, and several swimming pools. The included breakfast is excellent—you can choose off a menu of various hot meals like eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, fruit, and traditional Dominican meals. The rooms are very basic but have fans and a/c; however it got cool enough at night that we didn’t use those. WiFi was so weak in our room we really couldn’t use it, but the signal at the pool and restaurant was strong. We had fun playing pool and ping pong. It was slow season so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Rates were very reasonable, and although the place was a bit rundown, it was clean, and we’d definitely stay here again.

Reservé 8 habitaciones y las 8 estaban feas y en malas condiciones los baños sucios, las puertas no sirven todo se escuchaba desde las demas habitaciones porque no hay privacidad por las puertas rotas con hoyos ,en realidad no volvería a quedarme en JRC. Lo único es los empleados son muy amables , por lo demás o lo recomiendo no siive.

The resort has an amazing location with the river on the property and a nice pool, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms were in bad condition—shower doors falling, water leaking from the ceiling, and poor internet connection. We were told renovations are planned soon, and I hope this is true because the place has great potential and many activities in the area. I would recommend it once these issues are fixed

The place is great for the price and area. The property is an older one but the rooms are clean.
The staff are great once again this is a big property in a smaller town. The views are amazing , the restaurant overlooking the river . I have stayed here before and everything was great like my last stay. Please understand this is an older property so don’t expect conditions of a brand new hotel. Breakfast was buffet style, traditional Dominican food with a variety of breads and fruits. Will visit again!

This property has amazing potential. I truly enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The staff was wonderful, but they have truly dropped the ball when it comes to maintenance and upgrades. This could be sold out spot if they invested in the upgrades.

La ducha estaba en un estado inaceptable, la puerta rota, casi me cae arriba, llena de mojo, el piso de la ducha deteriorado.Pagando una estadia y encontrarse con tal asqueroridad en un baño,las camas no son cómodas, no volveria. El servicio es bueno, buen rio, desayuno bueno. Si reparan las condiciones podria darle otra oportunidad.

This property is in need of renovations; when we arrived they were having problems with their amenities which could happen anywhere; however it was an issue they were having for about 2 days before we checked in. Meaning that it was passed the date for a full refund. They also have no phone number available to call for emergencies. The location needs to be renovated. Some areas need repair. The staff was kind, and tried to accommodate for the properties lacks.

The pool area and the restaurant was decent. The food was good and staff was friendly. Room was updated, fridge didn’t work, damaged walls, moldy bathroom, very low water pressure in shower, cracked door, a hole in the bathroom ceiling, no hot water, dirty towels. A room for 4 people and they only gave me 2 towels because that’s all they had they said. Also we had an unexpected guest… a cockroach. Definitely not worth 130 dollars per night. Don’t waste your money!

I’m sure this place was great 20 years ago but nothing stays the same forever. Whoever takes their photos deserves an award, and I’ll be sure to look for them once I need to find a wedding photographer. There was 1 other couple there in the ENTIRE hotel, and we both ended up checking out early because of the lack of atmosphere. Breakfast was good but drinks were overpriced, and calling old tennis and billiards tables a game room is a stretch. And 6 of the 7 pools are really just 3 pools with a small wall “dividing” them. All the workers were great and super welcoming, but that doesn’t come close to making up for everything else.

This place was extremely dirty and not well kept. As soon as I walked in the bathroom light bulb was out, the shower door broke and I seen how dirty the toilet and refrigerator was.
The only thing saving this place are the amenities and how nice the staff is. The breakfast was great.
I would never go back and it’s sad because this place has so much potential.
