The hotel staff were friendly and courteous, and the food was tasty! Thank you so much to the Grand Tjokro staff for their warm and kind hospitality. The hotel is nicely located to the Ciputra Mall and to other places of meet.

We ask for extra pillow as each bed was provided with one pillow. They want to charge us for each extra pillow.
The foods during breakfast were cold. At night when we go to the hotel for dinner, there was lots of mosquitos in the dinning hall. When we complained to the staff, they just simply smile.
They don’t sell beer. When I ask can we bring a can of beer from our room down to drink with our meal, they want to charge for the beer consumed.
Very disappointed.

Close to the famous Ah Chai store.

Friendly staff but the breakfast is far below average. The hotel is far too calculative. We stayed in a twin bedroom. Ask the staff to give us 2 extra pillows as each bed is furnished with one pillow, we were refused. They were only prepared to give 1 extra pillow free. We would have to pay for the second extra pillow.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in ! Bad choice!

Dirty room, carpet never vacuumed in 5 days , white towels were grey , shower screen, curtain and fixings not clean,
Pool in maintenance closed. No Bar so no alcohol at all , bar fridge in room with nothing in it . Breakfast food was the same items for days not fresh !

I travelled to Jakarta on business and was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Extremely comfortable rooms and fast internet connection. Breakfast selection was plentiful and the location was great as it is 150 metres from the lobby to the supermarket.

excellent service for mid range hotel in Jakarta

mid-range hotel with excellent service it bit hard to find now in Jakarta, but not in this hotel. Starting from the security in the entrance all greeting politely, seems you were in Jogja / Bali, not Jakarta. Good option for short trip in West Jakarta, also quite near from airport (highway gate just 5 mins from the hotel). Just need to avoid bad traffic in front of hotel during rush hour :)

Good hotel, bad local area.

The hotel and the staff are very nice. The local area is not nice at all though. If you want to exit the hotel and walk somewhere, there are no paths and it's not safe to walk especially at night.

Not the best of place that I have stayed in although this is not the first time I have stay in this hotel. However the standard seems to be getting lower each time I visit the place. Will really reconsider other option next time around.

Pleasant for short stay

Pleasant for a short stay. Staff was friendly. Sometimes services/supplies were inconsistently provided (I never got the \"free minibar\" promised w my reservation, one day I didn't get a new towel although my old one was taken away, and I had to remind them to charge me for laundry as I was checking out given a backlog of paperwork on their end which caused a bit of a delay), but nothing terrible. The room was very clean, but I did get a few mosquito bites the first day. Speaking Indonesian was necessary a few times, especially at off hours, although some staff members are multi lingual. Breakfast and restaurant food were tasty. Pool/gym are small. Overall it was a pleasant stay and good value for the money, but nothing spectacular. Remember, Jakarta is huge; stay near where you plan to spend your time.

There's better offerings at similar prices.

This is a budget hotel. Even for a budget however, you have some expectations.

First, it took the single person working at the desk 20 minutes to check me in. There was nobody else in line or any other tasks for the employee. Just took exceptionally long. Then my key card was disabled two days in a row on my four day stay.

The gym has a lot of equipment. And all of it is faulty. The treadmills would not power on. The elliptical was cracked. The weight stack had fused to the pull-up bar so you could not select the number of plates needed. No equipment was tagged for repair. It just didn't work.

My water was fine. My colleague switched rooms 3 times because the water in the bathroom tap was brown.

The breakfast is very local. Westerners shouldn't expect anything more than an omelette and bread. The food that was out was covered in flies. There was no basked or anything to cover the food with. Insects were a big problem in the public areas however I didn't notice any in the room.

The internet in my room was unusable. The Wifi in the lobby was a bit better.

There is a grocery store next door to buy supplies.

Overall, the room itself was OK, but everything else in the hotel was subpar. Again, I know its a budget hotel, but there are some minimum expectations when a hotel offers breakfast, internet and gym. This hotel didn't meet those. If you just need a room, its not so bad. But don't expect a three star stay.

Reception does not exist!

The reception was terrible. I asked for a taxi to be ready to take me to the airport at 5 am but they forgot. Asked for a wakeup call which they forgot. Asked for a airport transfer of a large group of guests No response.

The neighbourhood has no advantage, still far from the airport but not close enough to the city centre. I won't use it again.

Though the room was clean and comfortable.

HOT AC Great Manager in Duty

great fast response from manager in duty,appreciated.. we got HOT AC for hours, they given us new room.. which is better.. even we found small cocroach in bathroom.. connecting door they forgot to open in first room and take sometime to open,, lil drama.. cold breakfast , ...our first and last stay at grand tjokro.. need improvement of outdated rooms.. we booked 2 rooms

Hôtel dans un état lamentable.

L'état général de l'hôtel est désastreux: piscine avec eau verte et en maintenance, tous les appareils de la salle de gym sont cassés et en piteux état, la clim ne fonctionne pas dans les parties communes, le petit-déjeuner est tous les jours le même, la moquette de la chambre était sale et la chambre vieillissante, rien à voir avec les photos. L'hôtel est aussi loin de tout, et certainement pas digne d'un 4 étoiles, en particulier pour des stadards indonésiens. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet hôtel. Cette réservation a été faite en remplacement d'un hôtel que j'avais réservé et qui n'était pas disponible à mon arrivée, et je ne suis absolument pas satisfait de ce remplacement, cet établissement ne devrait même pas être proposé par Hotels.com

Pengalaman pertama kalinya ketika check in hotel kami diberi kamar yg telah berpenghuni. Tidak butuh waktu lama staff memberi kami kamar pengganti. Mengecewakan kamarnya tidak cukup dingin, membuat saya semalaman tidak tidur dengan nyenyak.

Zimmer sind mit Teppich ausgelegt, was ich persönlich unhygienisch finde. Unser Zimmer war etwas klein. Für eine Nacht ist das Hotel in Ordnung. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen.

朝食とスタッフの良いホテル

朝食のビュッフェが美味しいです。種類も多くナシゴレンを使った風土料理が多くまた、デザート類と洋食もおいてあるため楽しめました。スタッフは英語がよく通じ気をつかってくれるため不安要素がなかったです。欠点としてはアクセスの悪さです。都心部のガンビアから4kmほど離れており、ホテル前の大通りは渋滞しているため、都心から夜ホテルへ向かう時１時間半ほどかかりました。

Gewoon slecht

Niet gastvrij, geen service, in het restaurant was vaak alles op aan drinken en eten. Er werd niks verteld over de voorzieningen. Je moest het maar uitzoeken. Het personeel gaf je het idee dat ze over je aan het roddelen waren. Onze verdieping zou voor niet-rokers zijn maar bij de lift stond een asbak en het rook over naar rook.
