Location is good. Facilities is great. Food at the restaurant not to my taste. Issued only 1 card even if you come with family. Quite inconvenience. Other that that, all is good.

If you like to shop, great location between ciputra and central park malls. The apartments are cleaned regularly but furniture and interior/bathrooms was dated and a little dirty. Bedding and pillows great, cleaned daily. Great view of city. Wifi connectivity very poor, which the kids didn't like! Also, only one key for apartment for 5 people. Lots of pros and cons.

We have stayed here before, location is excellent, the condition of the room was disappointing, drapes were in our condition bathrooms had leaks, general confirm dates and in bed of just general maintenance. The beds though were comcast.net, and cooking facilities were very good. There was a store on site which was very well stocked, and reasonable.

You get what you pay for ..

I booked a one-room suite at this hotel because of the attractive price on Hotels.com and for its proximity to Central Park. In fairness, for the price, I do not expect a great deal. The room was dated and in need of some maintenance - the hot water mixer was difficult to adjust, and the lamp in the living room was not working. The bathroom came with the usual amenities, but there was precious little else - no hair dryer, no iron or ironing board, and although an electric kettle was provided, there were only two coffee cups but NO SPOONS.S

Service from the front desk was good, they were polite and helpful, as was the doorman.

What I do not find acceptable is that the hotel charges for every vehicle (including cabs and Grab) that enters - even to drop off or to pick up. This does not make sense. The amount was not large - Rp4000 - but it is a poor management decision.

The hotel room is actually a former apartment minus the stove, which was a very good surprise. The pool area is the real draw as well as the easy walking access to the Central Park/Neo Soho mall superblock. The only bad thing was the bed wasn't very comfortable and the pillows weren't comfortable as well.

Rooms haven't been renovated in a while and maintenance has been pretty shoddy. Lots of small things that are just a bit off but the rooms have the basic necessities. Restaurant food is slightly below \"ok\" level but neither terrible nor great.

Not worth to stay , unless you want to stay close

Hotel is very old , tiles are chipped , shower are stained , hotel staff are very helpful and welcoming . Don't like the part every time you come to or go from hotel via taxi you have to pay 2000rupiah , even though you are staying in hotel.

I had a reason to stay , but i won't recommend to any one .

Not a 4 star hotel.

The apt hotel was quite old with old appliances, furniture and rooms. A/C did not work in one of the bedrooms. Staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was OK. The location is good and outside decor is good. But, The building is old and needs a lot of renovation.

We rent 2 apartment units for our parents wedding anniversary. The apartment is a bit old but clean and spacious. Great location, the ground is well kept, nice swimming pool and great breakfast with many choices. It was a great stayed for the price. Will definitely go back. Just don't buy coffee at the lobby, very expensive. Better off go to the mall not far from there.

Old and in need of renovation

We stayed in 2 bedrooms apartment. The only good thing to say about this apartment hotel is the breakfast was pretty good and the staff was friendly. The place is in need of major overhaul, not well kept. Only the lobby and pools look nice.

Badly in need of renovation.

For it star rating I am surprise. The walls were dirty and furnitures very worn. What left of the electrical appliances were rusty. Even the phone in the room have turned yellow you can imagine yourself if it was working.The lower half of the fridge have rusted over.
The tub was broken and have been some time because you can see the rust on the cracks. What really shock me were the towels. It was grey with a hue of brown when it was suppose to be white.
I give it that not all things were bad.The bed was soft. God forbid if I were to take a look further why it was soft.

Our stay was very comfortable staff very courteous and helpful

Apartments clean and comfortable with one major drawback the kitchens have no cutlery no plates or any cooking utensils provided

So having a kitchen is a wasteful space for any overseas visitors such as myself

Very helpful and friendly staff, spacious room

Overall we enjoying stay at this hotel. All staff from concierge to room service to food and beverages very helpful and polite and friendly. Room very spacious and clean, however need renovation especially bathroom! Too old and ceacked tiles everywhere. Have to bring own towel due to old towels provided and no longer white nor plush! This bring the rates few notches down.

An old hotel which needed to be renovated.

The location of this hotel is all right, but the facilities of the room was really terrible. The furniture was old and some were damaged, the lock of the bedroom's door was broken, the bath tub was leaking, the bath towel was dirty ( yellow dirt ), the bed room's telephone was not working until we asked some one to fixed it. Moreover the bedroom where we stayed (business suite at room number 812) was really smell of cigarette smokes. I am hoping that Expedia in the future to be more careful to recommend the hotel to your customers.

Great Stay Great Price

This hotel is very delightful for its price. Especially suitable for big groups. Very spacey and well maintained even though some walls and furniture are a little bit outdated but it is clean and comfortable. The employees are amazing and so are their facilities (business centre 24/7 and swimming pool). It is located between 2 huge shopping malls and there are many little \"kaki lima\" (side-street stall) around. My friends and I are definitely coming back!

The hotel was rated as a four star hotel by one guest. This guest must have not traveled much. My first room was terrible. It had two bedrooms with no TV. The only TV was in the living room. There was no hot water, the furniture was extremely worn (cigarette burn on arm of sofa) not to mention outdated. I was moved to another room with the exact same floor plan that did have a TV in the bedroom and a little newer furniture. Hot water too! The rooms came with two towels but no washcloths or face towels. The elevators were a joke. There were four, but one was out for the five days I stayed there. I waited for 13 minutes for a ride down on one occasion. As for the location, there were two shopping malls within walking distance if shopping is your thing. On a positive note, the staff was very nice and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was fine . Would not stay here again.

My Family experiences in jakarta.

The hotel location is about 1 hour from the airport with expected traffic jammed along the way if you are traveling on weekdays. Sunday will take a shorter time as the city area is much smoother traffic. The staffs are friendly and helpful with only one or two staff can speak english.
the room may be a bit rundown with poor maintenance standard.
we are advise by other traveller to check our room with bad smoking smell or pest found in the bedroom. but our room is fine.
the swimming pool is fine with a children beach pool for kid to play sand. the pool water is consider resonable clean .
The breakfast menu changes everyday with about 50% of the menu remain the same due to the local culture.
There is a convienent store next to the lobby for your needs in the night as the nearby shopping mall closed at 10pm
there is a mall nearby within 10 minutes of walking distance and a small local food street /market operate till 11pm.
there is a hotel free shutter bus services to central park shopping belt everday from 1.30pm with an intervert of 1 hour. The service end at 7.30pm.

we had a bad experience with the sliver taxi driver under the blue bird group. the place we are going is just 5 minute drive from the hotel but the driver claim that the hotel staff give him the wrong address and bring us round the city to get 10 times more the taxi fare from us. Remember to get the taxi chit from the hotel when board the taxi to protect yourself so that you can complain the driver

Even though the Grand Tropic is one of the older hotels in the area, it was still a very pleasant stay. All amenities in our room worked and there was plenty of Hot Water to have a nice relaxing bath after a long day of playing Tourist. The Bed Linen was clean and fresh as were the Rooms The Hotels location is excellent with easy access to Malls, Restaurants and Movie Theaters. A big plus is that the Hotel has its own \"On-Site\" Bluebird Taxi Rank, no standing on the street trying to flag down a cab. Yep, we will stay there again.
