Hotel Onomo is a lovely property! A first-class hotel, nicely appointed with a very attractive lobby that showcases Togo's culture. The restaurant had a varied menu and the food was delicious. The rooms had modern features and the outer courtyard and pool area were very inviting. The staff was very pleasant, approachable and helpful. I recommend it highly!

The staff speaks good English and is super helpful. The check in process was painless and the room was super clean and nice. There is a small pool at the back of the hotel but I didn’t use. The breakfast selection is rather less but it’s still good considering where I was. Great hotel ! I enjoyed staying there.

Check in was a lil chaotic because we got there and it seems like they weren’t expecting us because we weren’t in their system. When they finally found us they didn’t get the updated reservation. I just wish they communicated with us what was happening instead of having us seat and wonder what was going on after a long travel with a 1yr old. When we were checking out they printed us the bill and it had the hotel charge again even though everything was already paid for. Just lots of technical problems. We did book this through hotels.com so that might have been the problem.

Very cute Afro decorated hotel with local art as decor. There are mosquitos were any & everywhere in the hotel. The room AC is not cold enough even though it was on 16 so we couldn’t keep the mosquitoes out because it wasn’t cold enough. The restaurant is overpriced for what you get.

Overall I just feel like they could do better. Though their WiFi has to be one of the better WiFi I’ve ever used in Africa. The airport shuttle is also a plus.

The hotel is clean but our Air did not work for three days. The staff was no accommodating in moving us of fixing the problem. $180. a night for a room that does not have air is unacceptable. My wife and I both were sick due to the poor air conditions. Once we left the room, all symptoms left. We will most likely not return to Onomo.

Onomo Hotel is one of the best hotels in Lome. I enjoy staying here everytime I visit Togo; I strongly recommend this hotel to all travellers coming to Lome. Very nice pool and very focused on security. Some good restaurants nearby in walking distance. 15 min from airport via hotel shuttle or an inexpensive taxi. Shuttle service worked okay although we needed to wait a little upon arrival — but it did work out okay for us, and was reasonably quick. I had hoped to use the treadmill in the gym but several of the required buttons need repair; so I was unable. The breakfast/bar/front desk staff always seemed busy so it was sometime unclear whom to approach to be seated, order a drink, or check in/ out — when asked, all were helpful, but a little more proactive focus on guests would also be great. I’d stay again.

Stylish and conveniently located Lome hotel with lovely lobby, courtyard and pool area close to town, border, and beach.

The price of room is reasonable given the quality and convenience. The restaurant is ridiculously over-priced for simple things like coffee, water and continental breakfast.

The hotel is well-decorated and could be a great showcase for local artisans and crafts.

Our flight was changed to no go through Lomé.... I emailed the property and they said they would not cancel and refund my money. I also called Orbitz three separate time to cancel this reservation - each time they said they would call me back after talking with the hotel. This never happened either. First visit to Onomo, my experiences of Hotels in Lome have not been very good in my numerous visits to Lome, and i was not expecting much. But was pleasantly surprised. The place was clean, well maintained and services were immaculate. Rooms are not very large, like most budget hotels, there are no wardrobes nor drawers in the room, has an open bath area so do not expect to share the room with a collegue. Restaurant was good, menu was not extensive, but the food was good and fresh. The only let-down was the gym. it has a differenct sections for cardio and weights which are on both sides of a corridor. And the treadmill was not working. there is a walking tract all around the hotel, so walked outdoors around the hotel instead of indoor in the the gym

Hit or Miss, but the WiFi is excellent here.

This one is a very hard one for me to review. I feel, on the whole, this hotel is very nice. (I personally much prefer Hotel 2 Fevrier in Lome, and I think it's well worth the price difference). This is the only Onomo I've ever stayed at, but I get the perception it's like a nicer version of Ibis Hotels. Very small rooms (sort of like cruise ship rooms), where the shower is next to the bed and doesn't even have a curtain. But clean and wifi was AMAZING. Fastest wifi we had in Africa, and it's good reception all over the resort. We scheduled a hotel shuttle with the hotel about ten days prior to our arrival. The hotel confirmed the pick up time at the airport. When we arrived, no shuttle. After waiting for some time, we decided to call. They said the shuttle would be on its way. No apology. An hour after we arrive, the shuttle finally pulls up. We get in and go. We arrive at the hotel, still no apology. We tell them what had just happened. No apology. This hotel certainly doesn't strive off hospitality, at most places you would get like a free drink or something. Nope, not here. I do have to give the staff some credit: later in the evening I was enjoying their buffet when I left my bag there. I realized later at night and went down to find it. It wasn't at my table anymore (this was a couple hours later). I asked the waiter and he said he had put it to the side behind the front desk. Awesome! Although, since I signed the check to my room, not sure why they didn't call me...

The staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. Strange that charge an extra 2000 to have an omelette on top of a 7000 breakfast charge. Also, they serve instant coffee and the cappuccino machine was apparently out of service throughout my stay.
And be warned, there are no kettles in the room either so totally dependent on the kitchen for all hot drinks.
Other than that, everything was fine.

The hotel is across the road from the city beach and is gated. It has recently been remodeled but is already showing signs of aging. The reception is friendly but does not accept credit cards, only debit cards. The rooms are on the small side with the sink and vanity inside the room and a shower with a cheap shower head partially open to the room, flooding the floor when in use. The bed is very firm and the bedding is cheap. Toiletries are cheap as well, bring your own. Wifi is free and works well. The pool is overrun with locals visiting for the day. If you are a hotel guest, you can forget about a nice swim after a day of sightseeing because there will not be any available loungers or towels. This may be different on weekdays but very frustrating on the weekend. The food is average at best, but at inflated prices, it's @$50US/person for dinner. The breakfast buffet is $15US/person which is too much for the quality of breakfast is so so.
All in all, this is a convenient overnight if in Lome, and has a free airport shuttle than must be booked in advance. However, the situation with the pool being overrun with local day users is frustrating. Paying hotel guests who are staying overnight should get preference, but don't.

Good hotel, certainly by Togolese standards. Some strange quirks, like fierce and quite unfriendly bar staff but offset by helpful front desk and restaurant staff. Good room with a small balcony. Despite power problems, airconditioning worked throughout my stay which was very much needed in near-100% humidity. Good food. Secure.

It is the second time I stayed at this hotel in Lomé, both times for business.
The first time I was amazed by the decor of the hotel and rooms, the staff professionalism, the cleanliness and the breakfast buffet.
Since then (a year ago) I felt like there’s been a bit of slacking, which is a shame because the hotel is really nice
- The breakfast buffet was not as good as the first time, in terms of options but also quality of the products. Having said that the restaurant menu is still very good and food is amazing.
- Although I have no doubt the rooms were clean there was a rotten smell that was probably coming from the septik tank which definitely needs cleaning ( I had mentioned that during my first stay and was hoping this would have changed since)
- The staff overall was well nice, polite and helpful but the hotel shuttle driver we had this time could try and be more friendly to customers... This is a service industry and blasting music in the car without even asking if the customers mind is not nice.
I hope that review will help them improve because they really have a gem in their hand.

The rooms are modern, but compact. The open shower design leaves for a wet floor, but it is intriguing. The AC works great, much better than a higher priced venue in the same town! Staff were friendly and inviting. Highly recommend.

The hotel itself is actually quite nice, and said to be one of the nicest hotels in Lomé. It's a pretty stylish setup inside, and the room is a nice size and quite comfortable. There is no wardrobe, although this wasn't an issue for me. The wifi worked pretty well most of the time. Like the other nicer hotels I stayed at during my trip in West Africa, there is security that checks every time you enter. I feel though, that the biggest improvement could be with the service of the staff. I felt like they were a bit dismissive or didn't seem like a well-oiled machine. When I check-in, they weren't able to find my reservation immediately. When I also asked about going to the beach nearby, they recommended that I not take the items I had on me (a bag and a watch), but joked about this instead of providing an actual reason. They had a security guard with me the entire time, which was helpful. Perhaps their attitude may have been a reflection of the political unrest in the country, although I'm uncertain. Either way, the service could use some improvement.

As for location, it's not far from Boulevard du 13 Janvier, which is kind of a main street in the city with lots of restaurants and bars. The beach is also across the street, although again, not recommended for visiting alone due to possible muggers and definitely not past sunset or when it's dark. It has some debris and trash, but not bad for a stroll.
