What a setting.

Beautiful setting in lovely parkland with walking trails. A quick minute walk down the hill brings you to the historic Old Town pedestrian only area. Charming.
Lovely Reception staff friendly and very helpful. I was able to email my Covid PCR tests to them and they printed them out for me.

Carpets a bit old and stained, but clean. The setting makes up for it. Lovely modern bar and restaurant area.

Housecleaning forgot to come twice, and also forgot to leave coffee and tea etc 3 times.
However when I went to reception, they gave me coffee immediately.

One night stay

This is a really nice hotel, it is set in a park-like area and you have got great views over the city. It was my first visit to the area and the hotel was really easy to find.
The staff were extremely helpful and nice (esp the Night Manager) - it made for a great stay. I'd happily return to Bielefeld and the Mercure.

The heating didn’t work in our originally assigned room so we had to pack our luggage again and bring it back to the front desk to get another room allocation. This was inconvenient.

The breakfast was fairly expensive at 17 Euro per person and was not exciting. The hot food was very average and a bit dry. No smoked fish available.

Hotel location was good with a nice view over Bielefeld city centre.

Good - but windows need to be more sound proof

The location is perfect if you have a car - because public transport is not great in the area and there is not much happening around. The alternative is a taxi - which is not super expensive. However, a short downhill walk (about 15 mins) takes you to the centre of the city - but you have to climb back up the entire way (good stuff to stay fit on vacation). The room is fine but not many closets with clothes hangers. The staff are very friendly and nice - and that was one of the best things about this hotel. Breakfast was fine - but the same everyday. So, if you stay long enough - you are likely to stop enjoying it. Since the location is on a hill - the views are great (but you get such - or better - views from other locations of interest in the city, such as, the castle). My main complaint was - our room was near the parking lot and we could hear the noise on Friday/Saturday nights - which was quite annoying.

Great location if you’re travelling with pets

Hotel is set within a large park so it’s great for walking the dog. Food was good, both dinner in the bar and breakfast selection. The reception staff were happy to help with any requests.

Hotel is located on top of a hill in a park like setting. Although the trees block the city view for the most part, the surrounding area is very nice, with nature walkways all around. Very nice out door patio.

No coffee or tea in the room but one could get a morning coffee in the lobby. Tea had to be purchased from the restaurant.

Plenty of room for parking. Upon checkout, I was surprised to learn the hotel charged for local telephone calls.

Breakfast was over priced.

The room was very clean but rather small. The bed was comfortable. In room wifi was expensive. The lobby did not provide free wifi however the hotel did provided a computer and printer for quests to use.

From the downtown train station the cab ride cost 8 euros. Other than nature, no other services nearby. Perhaps not a good place to stay if you do not have access to a vehicle.

A nice place to stay but over priced services.

Close to wonderful wildlife park

A business hotel on the outskirts of the town. Nice surroundings with a zoo 1.6 km away. Clean and comfortable. Wifi was expensive at 17 Euros but the restaurant was good value in the evening.

Nice hotel in the middle of a park

Spent 2 nights while attending a seminar taking place in the hotel. Location in the middle of a park is phenomenal, and I didn't mind the 20min walk from the train station as the weather was good and the way is rather nice. Rooms were decent, very quiet at night. Service was good, breakfast and snacks too. Mandatory buffet lunches / dinner were not really up to the price tag: rather limited variation and partly overcooked hot food. Although looking at other guests, eating from the regular menue might be better

I think that the hotel was in a very nice location. The staff was very helpful. All the basic needs were met. Room was clean and available. I am american and was really excited that the bartender gave me a glass of ice.

One night stay for business purpose, The hotel was ok, but only just... Came from an HolidayIn Express the day before which was at least the same quality for half the price (-ish), and with much better service. At Park Inn, usage of WiFi was charged at 17€ for one day, which I find completely unacceptable, considering what you have already paid for the room. When I arrived 21:45 the kitchen had closed early because of no activity and there were no convenience stores around the hotel and no vending machines to bring me through to next day.... So the room was nice, bathroom seemed tiered and maybe therefore didn't seem all clean. IMO nothing in the whole picture that could justify the price.

Preis-Leistung war in Ordnung. Hätte ich den normalen Preis bezahlt, hätte ich mich geärgert. Kühlschrank hat nicht funktioniert; viel Staub im Zimmer; Duschfugen mit Schimmel. Das Kopfkissen ohne Bezug war ekelhaft…muss dringend ausgetauscht werden…Personal sehr freundlich.

Für Kurztripp voll Ok.

2 Übernachtungen über die Feiertage. Hotel liegt etwas oberhalb des Stadt auf dem Johannisberg unweit des Tierparks, gute Wandermöglichkeiten. Parkplatz direkt am Hotel für 5 Euro pro Tag, etwas unterhalb gibt es einen öffeltlichen Parkplatz. Die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet. Frühstück wird mit 18 Euro berechnet, leider waren die Brötchen Tk aufgebacken, ansonsten war alles da was zum Frühstück gefällt. Alles in allem ist das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber noch voll OK.

Hotel an sich tut ein wenig traurig an, nicht mehr der heutige Standard. Badezimmer ist gut, Timmer ist okay, nichts spezielles.

Uns hat das Hotel sehr gut gefallen. Das Einzige was wir zu bemängeln hatten war der Fußbodenbelag!!! Da es Teppichboden war war dieser schon sehr fleckig. Allerdings hatten wir das auch schon an der Rezeption erwähnt.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage mit Blick über die Bielefeld. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr höflich und freundlich. Die Zimmer waren sauber und laut Beschreibung eingerichtet. Nur der Bodenbelag ( in unserem Zimmer) muss dringend erneuert werden. Da hilft auch kein putzen mehr.

Nicht empfehlenswert.

Das Hotel liegt ruhig im Park mit schöner Aussicht, leider ist der Zustand sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Teppichboden im Zimmer ist abschreckend und verschmutzt, ebenso der Sessel. Das Bad war neu renoviert. Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht, Frühstück gut und reichlich. Leider kann ich das Hotel auf Grund des Zustandes der Zimmer nicht empfehlen, sowie der viel zu hohe Preis von ca. 150€ / Nacht

Heel teleurstellend..

Voor een mercure hotel de slechtste ervaring van de laatste 200 hotel overnachtingen. Bad kamer niet schoon,grote vlek in de vloerbedekking zeker 30 cm doorsnede in de slaapkamer en ook niet schoon, 2 lampen zonder gloeilamp alleen die bij het bed werkten, deurzekering met ketting kan je zo uit de muur trekken. Maaltijden kwalitatief ok maar mijn vriendin kreeg haar steak een toen ze daarmee klaar was haar patat, ik kreeg gelijk met haar steak mijn salade en kreeg mijn steak pas toen ze klaar was met eten en ik mijn salade op had...steak vergeten door te geven aan de keuken..

値段の割には…

部屋の床があまり綺麗ではなかった。シャワーも水が外に出るなど構造的に問題あり。さらにインターネットが遅く仕事に支障があったのは一番のマイナスポイント。朝食も100ユーロ出した割には…と言う感じだった。

Nicht schlecht aber geht Besser für 4 Sterne

Service war perfekte unten in der Lobby sieht auch alles schön aus das Bett auch modern und sauber. Was mich persönlich gestört hat sind die alten und nicht mehr schönen Teppiche in den Fluren und Zimmern selbst die sollten Renoviert werden. Aber an sich trotzdem gut. Das Bett war sehr bequeme und die lage auf dem Berg ist auch toll. Ein gutes hotel ja aber das WLAN ist auch nicht das beste habe Hotspot für meinen Laptop genutzt um Filme zu stehen. Hatte mir von einem 4 Sterne Hotel mehr erhofft. Aber naja meckern auf hohen Niveau. Von einer Skala von 1 bis 10 gebe ich dem hotel 6 Punkte

War okay. Werden wir wieder buchen

Zimmer grundsätzlich sauber und gut. Das Zimmer stand wohl schon eine Weile leer. Da der Sessel etwas verstaubt war und der Teppichboden schon länger nicht mehr gestaubt saugt war. Badezimmer hingegen einwandfrei

Wir hatten ein schönes Wochenende im Mercure. Es waren alle sehr freundlich, Frühstück war ok, Zimmer war sauber und war sehr gemütlich. Uns hat es dort gefallen.

Ist sein Geld nicht wert!

Leider ist das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und abgewohnt. Ein Aufpreis für ein Upgrade in das Superiorzimmer mit Blick auf die Stadt war nicht gerechtfertigt!

Das Frühstück war qualitativ minderwertig. Einzig die Lage über der Stadt konnte man beim Frühstücksbuffet auf der Terasse genießen.

Früher war es hier schön

Herunter gekommene Fassade, Flure und Teppiche.
Zimmer ok (keien 4 Sterne)
Bei meinen Freunden waren die Zimmer nicht gereinigt. Mussten 2x wechseln. Mein Zimmer war ok.
Restaurant und Bar geschlossen, außer für Veranstaltung. Wirkt alles etwas leblos. Getränke aus Automaten. Schöne Sonnenterasse auch geschlossen.
Mercure halt seine Mitarbeiter in Kurzarbeit, externe Firmen wurden gekündigt, daher zu wenig Personal. Das merkt man.

Schade, früher war es hier schöner, war oft für Seminare hier. Max. noch 2-3 Sterne.

Nicht wirklich meine erste Wahl

Der Flur ist renovierungsbedürftig 70 er Jahre Fair. Und der Geruch ist auch alles andere als einladend. Wegen Corona hatten wir extra telefonisch nachgefragt ob alle unsere gebuchten Leistungen auch erbracht werden können. Ja war die Antwort aber das gebuchte und bereits gezahlte Frühstücksbüffet gab es nicht - statt dessen sollten wir mit einem Sandwichpaket abgespeist werden - eine Rückerstattung für das nicht erbrachte Frühstück hab’s nicht. Ach ja und das weit außerhalb liegende Hotel - verlangt für den am Hotel liegenden Parkplatz 5€ pro Tag. Um die Ecke liegt ein kostenfreier Parkplatz des Kletterparks. Wir hatten getrennte Betten geordert das waren sie auch sie wurden ganze na sagen wir mal ganze 40 cm aus einander geschoben.

Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und für jeden etwas dabei. Die Betten sind sehr gut, man kann dort sehr gut liegen, andernorts kämpfe ich immer mit zu weichen und durchgelesen Matratzen.... Hier bislang noch kein einziges mal enttäuscht!

Die Unterkunft ist ziemlich ruhig gelegen.
Das Personal war sehr nett.
Das Essen (wir hatten noch 10 Min. vor Küchenschluss bestellt) war sehr gut! Das kann ich nur empfehlen.
Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Leider hatte der Teppich in unserem Zimmer ziemlich viele Flecken, was das Zimmer dann trotzdem 'dreckig' erschienen lies.
Das Hotel erschien mir etwas altbacken, aber für die eine Nacht war das völlig in Ordnung.

Herrliche Lage im Grünen

In Bielefeld gab es an diesem Wochenende ein Stadtfest mit viel Trubel und Lärm. Wir waren froh auf dem Johannisberg mit seiner schönen Umgebung komplette Ruhe zu haben. Für Familien gerade das Richtige.

Good Hotel, but I don't think it is woth 4 Stars

This Hotel does not live up the 4 Star rating.
It is fairly basic, like: only a small Bar, which closed at midnight, no Gym/Fitness/Wellness, etc.
Also, it is not directly in the City center and to get there (it is on top of a hill) takes a few extra minutes.
There is a steep way to walk/cycle towards the city center.

Overall, I was happy with my room and the Service. Would I recommend? Sure, but make sure you are not after anything mentioned above ;)
