Unfortunately Hotel Wali was a disappointment, especially for the price paid. The room was far from those portrayed on the web site. Though the service was okay, the rest of the experience was mediocre. I would not recommend this hotel and the area is very gritty and feels unsafe.

Es war wie immer, herzliche Begrüßung, ein sauberes, zweckmäßiges Zimmer. Das Hotel ist zwar schon in die Jahre gekommen, verfügt aber dennoch über einen Aufzug. Parkmöglichkeiten sind an der Straße und auf einem Grundstück, gleich gegenüber vorhanden. Ein Highlight ist aber immer dass reichliche und gut präsentierte Frühstück.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Es gab wohl einen Wasserschaden vor einiger Zeit, deshalb gibt es viele Stellen, wo notdürftig repariert wurde. Das ist vertretbar, wobei das Hotel deshalb sehr alt und baufällig wirkt. Was nicht ok ist, dass gerade im Bereich Badezimmer viele Probleme herrschen. Angefangen bei Sauberkeit der Duschen, Abläufe sind verstopft oder Türgriffe fallen ab. In einem Zimmer herrschte ein richtig mieser Geruch und es kamen Ungeziefer aus dem duschablauf. Die Matratzen sind hart durchgelegen oder sehr preiswert, was für miese Nächte sorgte. Die Zimmer müssten wirklich renoviert werden. Alles in allem etwas zu teuer für den Standard, aber es ist vertretbar. Habe schon wesentlich schlimmere Hotels gehabt. Einzig der Straßenlärm war sehr störend.

Die Übernachtunen habe ich bei Abreise mit EC-Karte bezahlt. Danach wurde der Betrag zusätzlich von der Kreditkarte abgebucht, die ich bei der Buchung zur Sicherheit hinterlegt hatte.Trotz wiederholter Anrufe und Zusicherungen des Hotels wurde bis heute der doppelt entrichtete Übernachtungspreis nicht erstattet.

Ehemalige Flüchtlingsunterkunft, wire ich später im Rathaus der Stadt Bielefeld erfuhr. Als Auswärtiger kann man es nicht besser wissen. Völlig verwöhnt..Dort kann man nicht übernachten. Wie will man solch eine Unterkunft empfehlen? Das Bett habe ich mit Handtüchern abgedeckt und in meiner Garderobe geschlafen.
