Two words: BED BUGS!! They were everywhere. We booked 2 nights here because the other hotels in town were jacking up their rates for a baseball tournament. Should’ve just sucked it up and paid more. Room was crawling with roaches, as well as outside the rooms. Pulled back covers on the beds to find multiple bed bugs. It was too late at night to try somewhere else so next morning checked out and complained to the staff. Front desk worked just shrugged it off and said “it happens”. Refused to give a refund for the next night that I didn’t stay. Unacceptable, unethical, and down right criminal to allow people to even attempt to sleep here. Pay more money and go somewhere else.

Cheapest of the cheap. We started in RM107, the door on Saturday afternoon swollen in a manner (due to the humidity) that we couldn't close it securely, had to move rooms to RM121. Now both rooms' doors are in need of proper maintenance, you know about RM107, but RM121 there was a screw missing on the plate for the door latch/dead bolt. Both rooms we stayed in didn't have all the towels and toilet paper ready. Both rooms' TV's are about to burn out (blue tinge always present in the left side to the middle of the screen). Both room blinds were in very poor shape, yes they worked but was not easy to open/close. Shower in RM121 has mold growth on the very bottom of the shower floor on the nozzle/knob wall. We will not be staying there in the future.

The tv didn’t work but we were told before we checked in. The towels were stained and very rough. Breakfast was ok if you like Tang. They served round eggs, biscuits and sausage. Only milk and coffee and Tang. Hot water took forever to get hot in the shower. The floors were nice and the tall bed comfortable.

The property looks nothing like the pictures that are posted online. We checked in to the hotel and immediately left and went to Walmart next door to get Lysol air fresheners and spray cleaners. It smelt musty and old. The floor was dirty. The white towel was black after I wiped/mopped the floor. There was no water pressure for cold water. The toilet seat moved every-time you sat on it. For the price we paid for 2 nights we were very disappointed. If it would have not been paid for through Expedia we would have checked out and left. I was not going to just not be able to get a refund. I asked the lady at the front desk if I could get a refund if we decided to leave and she said since it was through a third-party, I would not be able to so we decided just to ride it out. The website says remodeled rooms they do look remodeled, but still old.

I know you won’t share my review, and thats fine. Just typing this for the owner to read and know. The check in was easy, desk manager was friendly and helpful. But I gave all one star because we couldn’t even stay here. Floors were dirty, toilet seat was greasy, couldn’t even wash our hands because there was hairs on the soap dispenser. Hair and dust and gunk under the beds. The room was hot, air conditioner wasnt even on. Theres a gap at the bottom of the door. This is just what we saw the total of 15 minutes we were there! My kids were afraid to sit on the beds. Im just being honest and its not brutal. This hotel is in a great location, easy to get to and find. But if you want more business you gotta improve. This place was gross. Maybe some people are ok with that but im sorry me and my family were not! We didnt make a scene or a fuss, we aren’t that type of people but i thought you all should know. Thank you

Worst improvements of hotel rooms I ever saw

Under new management with updated rooms but 1st room the air conditioner was loud unable to sleep. There was a chair but no nightstand, no phone. The conduit covering wires was exposed over the t.v. and the wall with outside lights. The comforter had a large hole in it and so did the sheet.
Next morning advised the staff I wanted a new room on ground floor by 4 p.m. I called back at 11:30 to again ask about the room change and was assured it would be ready. Got to hotel at 5:00 and employee working front desk knew nothing about my request but did get me a new room 1st floor. This room had 1 nightstand with a phone but no wire so it wasn’t plugged in to the jack. The ac was great quiet and comfortable. When I went to but items into the fridge found a Chinese dinner still in there. The bathroom floor had dried mud on it and the hair dryer was missing the guard over the blades. My girlfriend found this out the following morning when she almost cut her finger. The t.v. had an issue after running for a while it woul start to get dim and you would have to change the channel and return to get it back. The shower rail was loose and hang down making the shower curtain to long for the shower. The lamp on the nightstand was broken. No pens or notepads in the room.

Recently updated. Floor was so dirty that when I dripped water loading the refrigerator I wiped it up and the towel was filthy. We went in the room and the lights and clock didn’t work. They changed the light bulbs and got them working but didn’t have a replacement clock. Hairdryer didn’t work. Black hairs in the shower and on the soap dispensers. Bed was comfortable but sheets and spread were stained.

I called ahead and asked about a pool and the lady said yes we have a pool so I assumed it was open. After check in I asked about the pool and was told it wasn’t up and running til the next week. I told the guy I was told differently and he said they have a no refund policy. Then we get everything in our room and my friend can’t get the tv going. So the guy comes and he can’t get it going either. Tried 2 different times for about a half an hour. Then he said I have to move you. We had a lot of stuff to move and asked for a refund again. He said he can’t do that. So we went to the new room. And the tv broke momentarily but started again. The bed smelled and the room was not clean. Don’t stay here!!

When we got there they told us there was a required deposit which they did not tell us beforehand and will take 4-5 days to go back on my card. Then the walls were so thin we literally had a conversation with the people in the next room without raising our voices at all, like they were in the same room with us. We got no sleep because the people in the other room were up all night. The toilet paper holder pulled out of the wall, the pain was peeling. There were people yelling in the parking lot it just didn't feel safe. I was supposed to stay there again in a week and have canceled my room to book with another hotel.

More of a motel. Towels at back door of dining area, not sure why. Very quiet until around 6 am when noise of hotel customers (who were obviously contractors from the many trucks) got up to go to work. Breakfast looked nice but i dont eat it.

The area where they excelled was their staff. Both young men, night & morning managers, were extremely helpful and gracious.

Bed was comfortable, TV was big, room was cheap. I suspect the top bedspread wasn't washed, but the sheets were clean and I checked for bedbugs. The room was old and dated and badly remodeled. There were outlets without covers. The room had been painted without even taking outlet covers and other items off the wall. There were no lights next to the bed. There were only two lights in the ceiling with a horrible daylight color in, so your two choices were darkness or brightly lit hospital look. Furniture was old and worn out. The cover was falling off the heat pump unit. I wanted to turn it up to 74 because I was worried about not having enough blankets, but it would only go to 71. Floor was very dirty. If you want a super cheap stay, it's ok, but for 10 bucks more you can likely get a much better place.

Awful stay, big mistake staying here

This hotel was an awful choice. They had the parking lot completely full of orange cones, as they had redone it sometime in the last 2 weeks. It was not freshly done. The African American woman at the desk was rude. They charged us for our service dog, refusing to budge in discussing it.
At night, the back parking lot was full, lots of people walking around, going on & out of rooms. There was definite drug activity going on. I did not feel safe at all. There was junk, trash, & random cleaning implements everywhere in the walkways with no attempt to improve the look of the place. They were \"remodeling.\"

Outside door had about an inch gap. Could see day light, surprised nothing crawled it's way inside. Dead bolt was not even close to be able to lock. The other lock on the door was broke. It wouldn't take much for someone to break in. Door to bathroom was so out of plum, it would not shut. The shampoo and conditioner containers they have in the shower were empty.

I was shocked when checking in and was told that a $50 room damage deposit was required that was fully refundable at check out. When my wife and I checked out Sat morning, we were asked to wait while the desk clerk went to inspect the room before refunding our deposit.
The breakfast bar was totally unacceptable also.
Will not be staying there again.

I would recommend this property for those looking to visit Grenada on a budget. The location is close to shopping, entertainment, food, and sightseeing. For this prime location, the price to stay here is a steal. The staff is very responsive to issues that one may have, and the complimentary buffer breakfast isn't too bad. Again, this is a not-frills-stick-to-the-basics hotel offering and it will work just find for those that want a nice stay without the financial pinch.

This hotel has horrible customer service. I stay here about 4 times a year 2 to 3 nights. I've been staying here for 10 years and this was my last time. They swiped my card 3 times after i told him that I was paying cash when i checked in. He used the card that was on my account. I removed it. He was rude and this wasn't the first time. I assumed the last time that happened maybe he was having a bad day. The hotel needs a serious upgraded.

Sketchy place, scary location, and keep driving!

My 18 year old daughter and I were traveling home from Nashville and booked a room at the Baymont Inn and suites, Grenada, MS. We arrived around 8:30 pm. The motel (definitely NOT an “inn and suites”) was up a hill and tucked behind a strip mall with vape and tatoo business and next to a Walmart. The parking lot was extremely dark and sketchy. In addition, there were several people milling around including a large man with tattooes smoking with an undershirt on. The rooms were all outside entry. Traveling as two women alone, we felt extremely unsafe. I was worried about leaving my daughter in the car to go talk to the front desk and my daughter was too frightened to get out of the car and come with me. We elected to keep driving and booked another stay in Madison, MS through Hotels.com. This resulted in us having to spend money on another hotel. I messaged Hotels.com as soon as we were safely checked into the safe hotel. The manager at the Baymont motel has refused to refund our payment and questioned how I could have felt unsafe in the parking lot of the motel. I would not recommend Baymont or this motel to my worst enemy. He said he didn’t care if I left a review, so here it is. Do not book this motel!

When booking this room we had driven 1200 miles on motorcycles. We wanted a pool! The pictures shown for the rooms are not the rooms there. They smelled horrible, the floor in our rooms were dirty, it felt damp in the room. We had to go buy spray and cleaner just to get some rest. The pool wasn’t open, the cover was still on it. We wanted a refund because of the horrible conditions and was told Expedia would have to do that. We left at 6am, continental breakfast was a joke! Total false advertisement!
Haven’t booked with Expedia in a long time , don’t know if I will again. We will see how this is handled!
