We walked into our room looked around and left. We checked into another hotel for the night. We have never done something like this before. The room wasn’t clean, the linens didn’t look clean and it didn’t appear to be a safe hotel to stay in. The hotel looked very different in person from the pictures online.

The room was extremely dirty. Hand prints on the mirrors. Bugs in the room. Some sort of unidentified goo on the door and walls. Someone actually ripped off the buttons on the phone. Moved the mattress to plug in a charger, all kinds of hair and other crusty stuff against the wall and box spring… and then the outlet didn’t even work. Mold growing around the refrigerator and the smell of weed filled the room. My daughter was scared and my wife was horrified.

This is my second stay at Oyo Motel. It's perfectly located and convenient to everything. The rooms are very attractive, clean, and the bedding is comfortable. I had everything I needed for my 5-day stay. And parking is ample. A special note is that Ronnie, who is at the front desk day and night, is an absolute delight and very helpful. His hospitality definitely makes me want to return for another visit soon. Also, the prices are the lowest that I found in Grenada, which made my visit even nicer.
The pool was closed when I was there. But hopefully it will be opened soon.

Booked this room for one night for my husband as he was passing through unexpectedly on business.

When he got into his room, he had to clean old soap out of the shower, there were bags of trash and fast food remains in dresser and night stand drawers and the room itself was … perfunctory, at best, even if it had been more clean/hygenic.

I reserved this room through Expedia and when I tried to cancel my reservation Expedia sent me to the hotel. The hotel sent me back to Expedia. And I could not cancel the reservation it caused me to spend money for two nights in a hotel while I stayed at a nearby cleaner Hotel. And we checked the room. Periodically throughout the two days I was paying for it and on every visit we found roaches roaming the room. I don't normally give bad reviews but this was bad. Expedia refused to cancel and then because the hotel should and the hotel used refused to cancel the reservation because it was made through Expedia. Stay away from the Oyo in Grenada Mississippi

Welcoming hosts and the room was in good condition for just a one night stay. It was an outside entrance and the cars parked right next to the unit. The room's door was not as secure as I wanted due to the dead bolt not securing without shoving the door against the jam. Put a chair against the knob just in case. Shower and toliet were good and the lights all worked. Outlets were old and well used and the cord plugs fell out. Bed was comfortable, but all pillows were very hard. Bedding was clean and the pillow cases fresh. Curtain was good, but not blackout.

The room was in poor condition. The bedding was stained, the refrigerator was filthy, there were holes in the ceiling and despite the air from the air conditioner feeling cool when you stood in front of it the room temperature kept rising. The bed was uncomfortable and lumpy and there was a used cotton ball underneath the pillow. I can’t believe they charged $100 for this location. Under different circumstances, I would have gone to another hotel. Thankfully, because I worked an evening event, I only spent a few hours there. I couldn’t sleep comfortably and I couldn’t wait to leave. If we hadn’t been in a tornado watch, I would have just left after work. I can’t speak for the staff, I didn’t have any interaction. The best I can say was the shower was clean.

First issue false advertising on line the pictures on line stated they had a lobby and they didn’t.
It smell like mildew
You couldn’t go inside to check in you had to be outside like a motel
The room could’ve been cleaner the toilet had rust stains on it
You couldn’t look through the peep hole of the door it was covered up
Is advertising a hotel and it’s actually a motel really bad false advertising if I decide to come back to Mississippi, I will not choose this place to stay

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Hotel is very outdated. The shower head was covered with mold and the water didn't get hot . The wifi was absolutely awful. Television did not work and when I mentioned it didn't the remote \"disappeared \". The bed was hard and the sheets were dirty. The owners/slash front desk couple were friendly but they emphasized that there's NO refund policy, my guess is because they know that the hotels has seen better days.Drinks at the front desk are $2 , if you have to stay please stop at the convenience store beforehand.

Nightmare Experience

The stay was a nightmare! Blood and urine stains on mattress, black mold on and in refrigerator, hole in bathtub and covered with tape, toilet leaking which caused me to slip amd fall, microwave not clean. There was a damn car on a jack at the front door of the reception area. The beautiful pictures of the swimming pool are all lies. The pool is roped off and has a huge blue tarp covering it due to not being in service. Manager/owner told me to go up the street if I wanted a better room when I complained! Photos on website are highly misleading. If I'm not issued a refund I'm taking every and all legal actions I ha e at my disposal. I have photos to backup everything I mentioned.

Quiet and cheap but the place was in horrible condition and was filthy. There was ashes everywhere, the sheets had stains on them and were to small for the bed and kept popping off exposing the nasty mattress cover they both had spots that glowed under the black light. There was trash from previous guests, wood was rotten along areas, didn't use the microwave because I was scared it would catch fire the sink would not turn all the way off so water was running the entire time. There was two tvs one in front of the other, one must have broke and instead of taking it out they just set another in front of it.

Not as advertised

The hotel should be categorized as a motel. It is really outdated and in desperate need of modernization. The springs could be felt through the mattress, there where stained pillow cases, certain items in the room had accumulated a layer of dust and the pool was covered & closed for who knows how long. I’m appreciative for having a place to shower and recharge after a long day of fishing but this was definitely comparable to living in an air conditioned tent during my days in the military.

This room was fine for a place to lay your head overnight. Room was very dated but comfortable. Didn't take a bath/shower or run lavatory but no leaks. Blackout curtains were damaged but working enough. Bed was ok but had definitely slept it's share of travelers. Property was exceptionally well lit at night...came in at 3:30 in the morning and the place was lit up like a Christmas tree. The room had a very small microwave and a mini fridge, but on the Hotels.com site it lists having a coffee maker in room, and my room did not. For a single night overnight stay, this room was sufficient.
