Hotel lobby was very tacky with many, many fake flower arrangements everywhere. Breakfast was very basic and the same every day (3 nights). Hotel needs major upgrade and was not maintained. Bathroom floor was scary. Holes in shower where grab bar used to be. Stains all over sink counter. Sheets and pillowcases were wrinkled. Room was not cleaned in the 3 days we were there. Staff never at front desk - always had to call them. Pool stairs were broken and roped off - pool and hottub looked suspect so we were AFRAID to use them.

Arrived at the hotel around 7pm, no one at the counter. Waited 5 minutes with another guest before someone showed at the desk to check us in. Lobby was a mess, covid and social distancing stickers and papers everywhere....its like they are still trapped in 2021. Was really looking forward to the Jacuzzi....the only reason I booked this hotel. Walked over to the pool area while waiting for the lobby attendant....pool ladder had caution tape all over it, Jacuzzi was about the size of a bath tub. I didn't get any farther, didn't bother to check in even though the room was non refundable. My loss, but would have rather had a good nights sleep.

The check-in was terrible because I was taken to the hospital with a UTI the morning we were to travel and check in later that day. There was no check-in. My wife called the motel to let them know and asked for a refund. The clerk said we would have to contact Expedia for that. We could not get wi-fi service in the hospital with our cell phone to email. I would like to request a refund or a voucher for future travel. Hope this gets to someone who cares.

The sheets/blankets weren’t clean. We had to go to Walmart to get blankets. The bathroom surprisingly was the cleanest place in the whole room. There was a weird wet spot in the floor, I think it was from the fridge as it was unplugged and cut off when we arrived. The containers that the breakfast snacks were in were not clean, hot tub was literally a tub w/ hot water, no jets no nothing & needed cleaning. Ceilings looked like they were gonna fall out. Def could’ve been a better and cleaner experience especially for what we paid for the weekend. They had so many rules also- including telling us we couldn’t take anything from the breakfast area to our room which I thought was weird. The guy manager was good but besides that, that’s the only good thing out of the weekend. Wouldn’t stay again.

My stay here was absolutely awful. I specifically requested a first-floor room when making my reservation, but upon arrival I was placed on the third floor. I was told there were no first-floor rooms available, despite the parking lot being nearly empty.

During my five-day stay (Monday through Friday), I received no housekeeping or room service at all. On top of that, the air conditioning in the room did not work properly the entire time, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, on the final day, the TV stopped working completely due to what appeared to be a cable or internet outage—so no television either.

For the price paid, this was completely unacceptable. The breakfast was also very disappointing—exact same low-quality options every day: turkey patties, artificial eggs, and waffles.

Overall, this was not even close to a good hotel experience. There are far better places to stay. I would not return.

The owner/manager lied over charged me extra money for a cleaning fee even though I made sure everything was cleaned up. Even talked to the housekeeper about the 3 trash bags (theirs) that I had by the door. He made us pay for a service animal and I was in town visiting with my family and he would only let them come see us if we paid $20 per person. He said if it was a person I had to pay when I asked if newborn babies are included. When I was there I also overheard another man coming in because he was charged an extra $1000 because of damages he swears he didn’t do and I believe him after this. Never again will we stay there and neither will my family and friends. Just please be careful when staying at this hotel!

The hotel is old and is in need of repairs but more cosmetic things than anything. Also if you want to go to the pool or the hot tub you have to ask so they can turn on the lights because they don't leave them on all the time. It was advertised as nothing like their breakfast buffet in the area. That's probably true because it really wasn't a breakfast buffet. They had two juices and they were out of orange. They had pre-made little egg things with sausage, patties and biscuits that looked not new or fresh.. they had little mini chocolate donuts that you had to fight to get in the display case because they were put in backwards and I guess that's enough for now. The man that took our reservations was very kind and personable.

Internet was spotty! There was food in the refrigerator from the previous people! So not clean! Smelled of chlorine so bad and I was all the way down the hallway on the first floor. The person that checked me in I assume the owner or manager wanted my credit card that I used when I paid on Expedia and should not have been charged from them at all but wanted it so I gave it and then told me that it would be a $20 per person per day charge for my goddaughter to go swimming and that is the only reason that I got the room in the first place and if I would have known I would have added her to my registration because she's a child and it wouldn't have cost me anymore but he went and charged my card without advising me and that really ticked me off! So please read the Google reviews and all the reviews for this place it is not a great place to stay the beds were awful and made my husband's back hurts so bad the whole time we were there! The breakfast was not great and everything seemed to be watered down and not tasteful! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

The staff man tried to charge my card twice before I had got to the hotel when I had specially put on my app that I'd pay for it when I got to the hotel so when I had arrived he said it declined twice & I had said ya because I was using a different card. That's so unprofessional. & To have each guest pay $20 a person to swim is so ridiculous. The pool rooms ceiling is leaking every where which creates mold & my room was on the 3rd floor with a humidifier so that means mold was in the room & my son woke up sick. Very horrible stay & workers. They seem to just want to scam people instead of making their hotel a great place for people to stay at & want to come back.

This place was absolutely disgusting. Once we arrived, we were advised the elevators were broken and we had to drag our luggage up three flights upstairs only to find, blood on the comforters and the sheets. As soon as I lifted the pillow up, there was a bug that ran from underneath the pillow there were bugs on the walls. There was brown stuff on the walls that appeared to be feces, there’s what appeared to be black mold in on the walls. We went down to till the clerk, he said the rooms were just cleaned and we don’t have anything like that here and refused to refund our money. They charged my card twice. This place is a terrible hotel and I will be contacting the better business bureau. This place needs to be condemned.

It wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed but it’s up there. I definitely paid too much for this place compared to other hotels that are much nicer.
Elevator was broke.
Breakfast was okay. Cereal was stale. The waffle maker saved the day. There was also, sausage, egg patties, bagels, toast and mini chocolate covered donuts.
Beds and linens looked dirty and not very comfortable. I had to ask for the shampoo bottle to be refilled because it was empty.
There is an ice maker that actually works and is free!
All in all— not terrible but not great.

The room we stayed in was not clean: used towels and soap left behind, carpet felt disgusting and smelled, bathtub was dirty. Breakfast was very basic and not replenished in a timely manner. The gym was unusable. The new owner was not very friendly and probably isn't familiar with the hospitality industry. This place needs to be renovated. Totally not worth what I paid for. There are other options nearby.

Ok to stay one night but needed updating in the room. Plaster cracking, bad paint jobs, fixtures not secured.. there was decent ac and hot water.
The carpets were sketchy and halls warm & musty.
Breakfast was available & you could grab something to get you on your way.
The elevator was broken & since we reserved a king bed, we had to climb 3 floors to get to it. Nothing notified us prior to us booking the room & we had already paid online.
If it’s late & you’re tired, it’ll get you through the night.

We booked two nights but couldn’t even make it past the first. Unfortunately, no refund was given. The hotel is extremely old, broken down, and had a terrible smell throughout. When we checked in, we were told the elevator had already been out of service for two months. The latch lock on our door didn’t work, the bedding looked dirty, and the refillable shampoo in the shower was completely empty. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to a friend—or even to an enemy.

All in all not too bad. Definitely does not reflect condition of the hotel in the pictures. Hotel is much older than what you see in photos. Elevator completely broken. Before we officially checked in they did offer us rooms on the first floor but they were handicapped and or a two-bedroom room. Hate to say it but the bed was not even completely made when we got here. Sheet was short sheeted. Extreme humidity in the room. Had a dehumidifier set up. You could see some humidity damage throughout the place. Water faucet in tub on a constant stream. Would not shut off completely. Coffee pot did short out when we tried to use it. Brought us a brand new one. Still in the box within 10 minutes. Staff is absolutely amazing. Extremely friendly

My sheets would not stay on the bed and they appeared to be slept in before. Which made us very nervous to sleep in the bed. Then when we went to go check out, we took the blanket off to make sure we didn’t leave nothing and someone’s dirty socks was in our sheets. I feel disgusted nasty beyond words. Breakfast was horrible. Gravy was water biscuits were hard and old. The pool was OK but not very clean and it was so hot in the pool room that you couldn’t breathe unless you open the door the hot tub was steady going let alone it’s 90° plus outside in the hot tub water was green/gray. Outside the pool room was a bucket full of beer cans. Elevator does not work at this hotel. We are disabled and we had to go use the stairs to use the second floor because we were told that they only had two rooms on the bottom floor and they are for elderly. In the stairway smell like marijuana hotel is rundown, but the owner did seem nice, but their employees were doing drugs outside the hotel.

It all started at check in. I had reserved a room with a king size bed. The manager on duty told me that if I wanted that room I would have to carry my luggage up to the second floor because their elevator was out of service. I declined and reluctantly accepted a room with 2 queen size beds. The toilet looked like it had black mold in the bowl, and the seat shifted from side to side. There was a sign on the bathroom mirror saying that they would change the towels every 3 days. I was there 4; we NEVER received fresh towels! I believe that housekeeping visited my room once during my stay. They left coffee and a bar of soap. I had to request those items from the front desk all other days. The “free” breakfast was below average. This combined with my stay at the Wyndham in Downtown Springfield, IL experience in June of 2024 has left a sour taste in my mouth! I don’t think I’ll be staying at any more Wyndham properties! I would rate this hotel at fewer than one star if that was possible! I did not get what I paid for!

The hotel itself wasn’t bad, but very outdated. The mattress cover and concerning brown stains all over it. When I asked to be switched to a different room because the air conditioner was not working, the manager on duty refused to switch me and only offered me a fan. The hotel wasn’t even busy, so it didn’t make sense why they couldn’t switch us. The elevator also broke the day we arrived and we had to use the stairs, which usually isn’t a problem except the stairwell smelled of mold as there was not ventilation. The bathroom in the room also had no ventilation. We stayed three nights and only got fresh towels on the third night. Will not be staying here again.

The pictures about the hotel are deceptive. The swimming pool area was delapidated. The water in the jacuzzi was dark gray. The rooms had lumpy mattresses and pillows, and the lamp shades had thick dust on them. You can tell the owners kept all the original items when they purchased the hotel from LaQuinta. We stayed in this hotel because of the indoor pool and jacuzzi, but they were not worth what we paid for.

It took 3 attempts to find us a clean room. Staff were nice, I appreciate what they do for a living, but the excuse \"We're all human\", got a little excessive. Seemingly they were listening in quite a bit to us, as had some additional comments. Pool was dark, hard to have the manager/owner, come open a lock box to turn on lights, etc. I get it, but then get motion lights or something? Breakfast limited, extremely limited. It was strange overall, but it was good enough for 1 night. Seeminlgy safer area, it was pretty quiet from traffic.

the room was clean. everything worked in the room. my complaint is that we stayed three nights, and had to ask for coffee refills and towel exchange.

Good nights sleep however police presence and crack pipes in the parking lot. Noticed the buildings cracks and definitely needs a remodel. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and you're close to restaurants and gas but $100/night feels a little much for what it is.
