I am glad we were only there for an overnight on a long trip. Hard to believe it is a Wyndham. Pretty lacking. Drive way /entrance had it hole to swallow a dump truck. Bad first impression and it didn’t get much better. Room was clean and comfortable.
Elaine
The room was updated and clean. Staff was helpful.
Katie
The entire hallway smelled like weed. The non-smoking room smelled like an ashtray. Didn't stay!
Front desk staff were kind though.

All good. Maybe make the outside look better. Lawn , bushes paint potholes etc. hidden best deal in Oneonta especially for baseball tournaments. Glad I chose Super 8!!
Christina
The rooms looked nice at first. When we woke up and turned the lights on the next morning there we could see the cockroaches scattering. We stayed there with friends who had the same problem in their room. In the rush to get out I left a sweatshirt behind and when I called I had to call multiple times before someone even answered. When they finally did the guy who answered the phone just pushed it off to the staff who would be in later that day.
Adam
Carpet stunk when you walked in the front lobby smelled like dog or mold. Then in the room, the tile was cracked and loose in the bathroom and you could wobble it. There was also no elevator and the amount that you had to pay for the room was absurd for how horrible the quality was of the building itself. The fact that that building looked almost 40 to 50 years old and they charged $245 from one night is just highway robbery.
Jo Ann
The room was clean. Breakfast was not stellar. The air conditioning was top-notch. The grout around the tiles on the bathroom flor was cracked and loose. The hotel was quiet st night. Parking was convenient. All around a decent stay.
Mark
Very clean and centrally located to where we needed to go everyday. Staff was also very helpful.
Yvette
This location for a quick stay is fine. The parking is terrible. The massive pot holes that makes it difficult to avoid was really bad. The photos on the website was deceiving. The room is clean. The plus was the convenience of the stores in the area.
Jacqueline
This is not my first time staying at this hotel and it never disappoints. It close to the college, and places to eat. My only complaint is the humongous pot holes entering the parking lot of the hotel, if you’re not careful, you can do real damage to your car.
Georgina
Better breakfast, cleaner rooms.
Nicholas
Absolute nightmare. Do not stay there.
Michael
When we arrived at our room and walked in the beds were all disheveled, bathroom a mess and room was a mess. Got switched to another room, smelt like stale smoke when we walked in. Beds were uncomfortable with one pillow. When I took a shower it was warm at best. And for the price we paid because it was a graduation weekend makes it more infuriating. Never again!
Scott
The hotel was dirty, no staff around, area was not well lit, breakfast options were terrible

Parking is good but coming into the parking lot is horrible. Those potholes are bad enough to destroy a car.

As we pulled in had to dodge pit holes that would have damaged our vehicle. Saw a double door that looked like main door. Nope had to search for the main door. Staff was nice when we walked in. Quickly to our room. Stairs going up were sketchy and they were angled and weak. Room was clean but in need of some updating. Did have a small weird odor that went away when we opened the windows. Shower was warm. Needed water to full hot to get a decent hot shower. Bed was good. We slept with windows open since there was a nice breeze. Well that was a huge mistake. 3am our room filled with pot smoke that woke us up. Couldn’t shut windows as that would trap the smoke in. So we had to deal with it. Turned on exhaust fan. Finally fell back asleep with massive headaches. We left without trying the “breakfast”. I looked and it was pre packed muffins and coffee. But Denny’s is directly in front. When I went to check out it seemed like I was bothering her.
In general. Ok place to stay just don’t expect much. It’s nothing special but it will be clean and comfy.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was okay. Coffee was very good. Staff was very nice.

Definitely needs major updates, especially the entry road. Beware of the giant potholes. Staff was nice, breakfast was meh, room was ok.

First got there room was cold heat wasnt on, we had to turn it on. No trash bags in trash cans. Road going in potholes
Keri
The sheets had stains on both beds which made me feel gross. There was a weird musty/dusty smell. There’s was dust underneath the bench seat in the room. There was a long hair stuck in the ice chunk in the little freezer. There was clumps of hair in the corner of the bathroom and short dark hair in the tub. The toilet paper on the roll was almost gone. The window was dirty, couldn’t see much out of it without opening it. I could hear whenever someone next to us took a shower. The breakfast included was only muffins, fruit cups, granola bars, oatmeal, coffee and juice boxes. There a huge potholes when pulling into the parking lot. It was cheaper than any where close by but I wish I had paid more for a cleaner place to stay. I wouldn’t stay in another super 8 again.
Aida
Disgusting, but the staff were nice
Crystal
This place needs definite updating.

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. I will stay again when visiting my son at SUNY Oneonta.
Dani
So I’m trying to be fair because it’s not supposed to be a luxury hotel. The lobby smelled like smoke. The woman who worked there said she couldn’t tell because she’s a smoker herself. She sprayed some crap all around while I was standing there but it didn’t help.
The rooms smelled like stagnant something - could not put my finger on it. Dried up blood on the comforter which I would never use anyway. Toilet paper unflushed in the toilet. Every sign was circled in yellow highlighter. Bizarre. We can read.
Dogs barking overnight. Banging on walls. Babies crying. Two people on lounge chairs outside smoking with blankets and cooking something. Certain doors didn’t work. Paper signs on the doors. Whole place is shady. If it was $70, great. Not $170 and the only option left while visiting my kid at college for Parents Weekend.

Extremely poor lighting outside at night including very dim parking lot. The lobby smelled like cigarettes and when mentioned the front staff said “This is a non smoking hotel but since I’m a smoker I can’t smell anything anyway”.. the room was basic with the heating/ac unit not working and dust balls in May placed on the floor. Bedding was clean thankfully. There was also a weird smell in the room and whole entire floor that even permeated clothing that we didn’t wear and was still in our luggage. Was the only hotel avail close to SUNY Oneonta which is why we just stayed there. Breakfast, by the way, was coffee and prepackaged Otis Spunkmeyer muffins. Not that we’d have eaten anything there anyway but if you’re looking for a hotel that includes breakfast, this isn’t worth it. Will never go back. Wyndham you should be ashamed!
Regina
It was quiet clean & safe
Mary
I was pleasantly surprised. Hotel was clean, staff was very nice- there is a lot in walking distance including a Denny's that's open till midnight and a movie theater and Applebee's across the street. 25 min drive to Cooperstown where we visited a winery and brewery. Location is great.
Verified traveler
Pleasantly surprised.
Exterior is old and faded, could use a new coat of paint. Lobby is dated and smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Staff at check-in desk was welcoming and very nice. Room was clean and the sheets on the bed were clean and smelled fresh. Bathroom was clean, no mold. I honestly did not expect this and was pleasantly surprised.

This is a college town and there are lots of food choices close by. The hotel was right off the exit to highway.
Front desk person at check in seemed distracted. At checkout the desk person was very nice. I stayed midweek so it was quiet. There is security overnight.
The reason for just ok review was the bed not so comfortable. Sheets were too stiff for my liking. The pillows also not comfortable and I used my own.

Nice place to stay but watch out for the potholes.
Clean, great staff, shopping and dining within walking distance.
Parking lot definitely needs work. Potholes are big enough to cause damage to your vehicle.

Front desk area old, but clean. Rooms on 1 st floor no rugs and clean.

Rooms are fine, beds are comfy. The entire hotel smells like cigarette smoke, so that’s unpleasant. Breakfast choices are slim: oatmeal, muffins and coffee. It’s ok for a place to crash, but it’s not glamorous.

it was close to all star village. floors were stick but overall its very convinient and close. many stores around including a dicks sporting goods across the way
Kerry
Potholes so deep coming into the parking lot I thought i was going to lose my car.
Key card didn’t work- had to go to desk 3 different times.
Showers didn’t work well (we had 2 rooms). Dirty mattress.
Heidi at the front desk was wonderful. Thankful she was there to keep letting me in my room.

The room and bed were clean and comfortable.also the staff was very kind.

The overall property was not very well kept. The room was clean. Bedding clean. Nuts beds need to be replaced … too soft. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Could be a very nice property with some upgrades.
Brendan
Good budget option for if your son plays in the Cooperstown ASV tournament.
David
No elevator. Very limited continental breakfast. No public restrooms except in rooms. Driveway full of potholes.
Mary
Room was not great ..
Samantha
Was good for what it was intended for
richard
The property is awful. Unsafe. Parking lot looked like Beirut. Carpets in the hotel were ripped, shredded, filth and smelly.
Room was dirty. Bed was hard as a rock. Tv worked! No signage. The building looked like it was crumbling down. Will never stay at a super 8 again.

Check in guy charged card twice and took over 20 minutes to check in with an empty lobby. No elevator and the hotel needs a deep clean, new carpet and repairs. Doors did not open on the main entrance. Cheap, but there is a reason why.
jannet
Affordable nights stay
Michelle
Main lobby smelled of smoke/marijuana (although the room did not). Low-average cleanliness. Disappointed that they advertised a complementary breakfast but the only real choice was some fruit cups and prepackaged blueberry muffin.
Daniel
The managers were very friendly.
The room was another story. Shower did not work, which was the least you’d ask for. Disappointing.

Hallway carpets were rippled, dirty, & worn. Bathroom had grout missing from floor. No ADA bars in bathtub. Staff were indifferent when asking for first level rooms because no elevator.
Driveway difficult because of large unavoidable potholes. Difficult for an elderly or a handicapped person to stay here. Shocking for a Windham property.

The driveway leading the property had many potholes. The road was terrible and it was very hazardous. Not a good first impression. The hotel is dated but served our needs for one night.
Jennifer
This hotel smelled like mold, mildew and urine. Rooms were damp. Continental breakfast consisted of granola bars, juice boxes and muffins in a plastic bag. Very poor hotel for the money spent. Needs a serious upgrade
Susana
Great place
Michael
Giant potholes in driveway. Many things broken in room and building. Terrible breakfast. Staff was friendly,.
Michael
Overall clean and quiet. Staff was limited but friendly and helpful. Property is dated and the driveway into the facility is in desperate need of repair.
Kenneth
Pretty run down inside. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Beds really too small.
Ronald
Old dilapidated property - noisy all night AC faulty - transients - decor and carpet awful - just needs to be fitted with security guards in place
Mariam
Location was near Cooperstown All-Star village. Quick bites nearby however the hotel is very old dirty with limited amenities.

Would not recommend. The room was dirty and bathroom had visible mold on the ceiling tile. I don’t know when they changed the bedding last as the sheets felt gritty.

Won’t stay here again
It was so-so
Angelia
There was mold in my shower that hadn't been cleaned properly. I brought it their attention which they then cleaned, I was only given $30 back. The hotel had a old building type smell also. Wasn't the worst place I've stayed but not the best.
Andrew
Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. There were plenty of casual dining establishments within 5 minutes of the hotel.
Carol
Our room was clean and comfortable however we were constantly having problems with our tv not working. When contacting the front desk a young gentleman came in and exchanged remotes and that seemed to fix the problem but the next day there were still problems.
Billie Jo
I thought the non carpeted floor was great but then our feet were filthy we had to wash them before getting in bed. The room had an odd smell and it was super humid even with the AC on, it felt like everything was damp.
kelly
The breakfast only consisted of muffins and instant oatmeal and granola bars. No juice or milk either.
Jennifer

The accommodations and friendly Staff were very Good. The Hotel exterior needs to be freshly painted for better appearance and the driveway and parking lot is FULL of very LARGE Potholes needing to be repaved. Our Room was very clean and the beds were Very comfortable I slept very well each night. Room rates were competitive. The Location is very convenient to state highway access and to Oneonta Downtown Restaurants which we really enjoyed as well as Cooperstown All Star Village which we visited during our 5 night stay. Again, we LOVED the Room decor and the Friendly Staff.

Good location; approach road to hotel was loaded with potholes…
Cheryl
Limited breakfast selection but Denny’s is close by
Alejandro
Very convenient if you’re here for baseball. It is definitely a motel looks and smells like it but in comparison to other places in price in baseball season it’s manageable.
John H
Overpriced at 20/.00 for nothing. no pool no continental Breakfast. They give you the poor man’s breakfast. Rude staff. They don’t care about customer concerns.
Cindy
Such an old hotel. Really needs updating. The carpet in the hallway needs replacing as I almost tripped on a ripple. Happy it was quite clean.

OK stay
The stay was a little disappointing. Our bed had some \"Low\" spots in it. There was a dog in the next room that would bark every so often. And my Wife had found Ants in the Bathroom the day that we were checking out.
The Low spots in the bed was a bit annoying, but not the end of the world. The Dog was also a little annoying, but the barks were not very loud and did NOT last through the night. I did not have a chance to tell the staf abput the ants as we needed to leave fairly early.

Very Friendly Staff. Was clean with great water pressure. Parking lot needs to be paved. But perfect for a quick overnight with my kids.

Oneonta Super 8 Quality Declining Rapidly
Several guests tended to hang out outside the hotel doors on their phones. It's disconcerting, especially in the evening, to have people seem to be loitering outside the hotel.
Also, my hotel bathroom had hair on the floor when I arrived. It was the evening, and there was only the desk manager on staff. I cleaned it myself rather than call the desk manager. The bathroom also was VERY dated and had cracks in the paint, broken ceiling tiles, and the bathtub needs to be caulked. I used to stay here on a regular basis, bu I definitely won't stay there again when I visit Oneonta.

Went to pick up my daughter from College and needed a place to stay overnight. Super 8 was close by and it was clean and quiet. Friendly staff.
Brittany
The property is hard to locate entrance at first and unmarked lobby. Set up is awkward with lobby looking like just a outsode door entrance. Room had no trash bags in cans, the bathroom light would shut off on its own, and the heater/ac has poor regulation.
SHARIFA
Great place. Affordable. Staff are great!
Stefanie
Staff was extremely friendly and room was very comfortable

Room was very clean, washer worked pretty good, dryer had to do 2 loads for the clothes was good too
SHARIFA
Cleaner bathroom this time which was great. Hopefully the smell of smoke could be eliminated from the hallway..I think when people come in from their smoke breaks outside the smell sticks to the carpet. But Better experience this time around.
