I’ve never owned or managed a hotel or motel, and I’m sure there’s endless hazards & hurdles along the way. However, we booked a room for 4 nights at 8pm on a Sunday before Thanksgiving after flying in from Arizona and finding our original place was still under construction.
There’s gotta be over 100 rooms and we saw max 2-4 other vehicles, so lots of vacancies. At first glance our 2nd story King Bed room seemed “okay enough” considering. Exhausted, we checked for bed bugs (there were none) then settled in and went right to bed. First thing the next morning we went to shower and discovered BLACK MOLD covering the wall behind the bathroom door and throughout the bathroom ceiling. Immediately contacted Hotels.com with a half dozen pictures, who then worked with the property owner. The property owner REFUSED, absolutely refused, to refund our stay (any amount of our stay) since we didn’t notify him at the time of entering the room. This is a horrible reason. It was 9pm now and we weren’t exactly thinking of inspecting every inch of our room before sleeping. Not even a penny was offered back. Instead the only offer from this Super 8 was to change rooms to one with 2 beds. Defeated, we agreed. My spouse is 6’6” and I’m 5’8” so we slept separately and joked about the toe nail clipping on the floor, and if it was blood or ketchup on the walls. Granted the charge was only $200 total, but we ate it and left Tuesday AM and booked at the Holiday Inn down the road. Better everything.

However, neighbors on both sides of us had a party in the parking lot with LOUD music and laughter until 11 pm 2 of the 3 nights of our stay. The bed was clean but most uncomfortable. We probably will choose another hotel for our next stay.

Rundown and dirty.

The manager was super nice and checked us in, but you could tell he doesn't have enough staff or maintenance to keep the property clean and in good repair. We got our room late and one of the beds was dirty so I just went downstairs and got fresh linens and made my own bed because I was too tired to keep switching rooms. The whole place needs a really good cleaning, basic repairs, and maintenance. Two cheap cereals for breakfast and coffee. It was better than sleeping outside but not by much.

This is an older property, the owners have done a good job updating the rooms. The bed was very comfortable, the towels were thick. Flooring has been replaced with vinyl. Room included a coffee pot, single serve, refrigerator and microwave. Very satisfied with our stay, especially with the price.

The hotel “looked” clean, the room “looked” clean, but the tub was not. It had dirt and hair in it. The bottoms of my feet and socks got rather dark. They left a dirty rag on the shower rod and the tub would not drain well, either. The bed was on a metal spring frame and squeaked at any movement. We have definitely stayed in worse and in better. We did not ask for a new room bc it was just one night. Probably won’t stay there again. The service was meh, he would not give me a receipt bc he said I booked online and they had a receipt, but I paid there, so nope. At least there were not any bed bugs or other bugs. Another patron was trying to get a refund for mold to go elsewhere and the service would not give it. Our room was somewhat dated, but we did not have mold that I saw. Our stay was average, not worth what we paid per night.

Horrible stay. The icing on the cake as well was the front desk not answering the phone at all at any time of the day. Even when you walked to the lobby, the man behind the desk wore an earpiece having a conversation with whomever was on the other line as well as yourself. The entire interaction was unbelievably rude and unprofessional, to say the least. On the day of check out, the power had went out for a few hours, and the massive heat wave seeping in from outside woke us up. Sheets and blankets (not pictured) had hair all over. The picture of the floor shows a massive indentation. The floor underneath is either rotted or very damaged because of how soft and deep it was when stepped on. At the top of the stairs (our room was on the top floor), there was a huge amount of dead bugs scattered all over the ground. The room in general was also so dirty and disgusting in general. Do yourselves a favor and stay anywhere, but here!! It’s honestly better to sleep in your vehicle!!

This webiste is horrible!! I WOULDNT advice ANYONE to book here ! REPEAT ANYONE . I book a hotel room for the Mississippi stay for the New Orleans parade weekend for two nights for $279 . No resevere I paid Fully 3 days ahead of time ,do to the fact it showed it was only \"six spots left\". Thats how they got me though,watch this . I Finally make it to my hotel tell them Booked confirmation and all ,than i give my ID and everything to the front desk. He tells me my card was declined ,so of course I told him I already paid through this website showed him and all . Still couldnt figure it out ,so a kind women helped me out that worked at the hotel front office also thats expedia didn't pay which was to \"$279\" . After that I immediately called expedia SEVERAL times . Ketp on talking for a little while than they hang up on you! At this point im like okay my phone might be tripping or somthing ,so i used other family members phone to call .samething happened EVERYTIME. They all had full service bars . After, trying and trying and trying . I had to pay an additional $230 which total up to be $509 FOR A TWO NIGHT STAY AT A HOTEL! THAN STILL HAD TO SURVIVE EATING AND ENJOYING GAS MILEAGE BACK IN FORTH TO MISSISSIPPI & New Orleans. Not to mention I travled 7 hours just for this weekend function .I can go on and on but to sum everything up I got robbed out of $279 that they are not trying to reburse me on . HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE WEBSITE to book . DONT BOOK HERE PERIOD!

My wife and I will never visit Picyune MS again. The motel was freezing because there was a huge gap around the door where it wasn't mounted properly. There was a artic cold front that blew through during our stay. The water wasn't even hot. I got a lukewarm shower in a room that was the same temperature as the outside. We were pretty much trapped in the motel because there were no Uber, Lyft or even a Taxi in that town after 6 pm. We were lucky to get an Uber to the train station the following day. It was freezing once again and the train station was closed so we were trapped in the weather for 9 hours waiting for the train to arrive.

Most of the Super 8's I've stayed in are clean, well maintained, and have someone at the front desk to check you in. This property is run down, dingy, with junk around the property and outside of doorways, and you have to call a phone number on the door so that someone will wake-up to let you in the building for check-in. There were multiple parties going on until all-hours, and while I'm all in favor of a good party with music, I would prefer to get sleep on a business trip, and have others keep their music to themselves. While it wasn't the worst place I've had to stay in while on the road, it is certainly not what I would expect from Super 8 by Wyndham.

After a long hard day of work out on the road it's nice to be welcomed with a smile. Not my first stay with this hotel. I always try to book here when I'm in the area. Comfortable and quiet everytime so I'm guaranteed a good nights sleep. Rooms are very accommodating with frig, microwave, coffee pot. Price is reasonable too.

We just need a last minute place to stay. We got room 216, It wasn't anything fancy but it worked! Beds were kinda hard but they were clean. Bathrooms (tub) could use some work (cleaning and to be updated). Overall it was ok, a little pricey for the quantity and a Sunday night, but we've been in worse hotels. Like i said though, it was last minute, it was clean, and saw no bugs thank God!

Place was old and run down. In the bathroom the shower drained really slow and only 1 of the 3 switches worked. In the vanity sink area the electrical plug was not screwed into the electrical box and did not have a cover plate. The floor in the bed area has some soft spots in different places.
The outside was old and run down. The one ice maker on the property didn’t work.
If I would not have prepaid for these 2 room I would have gone to another property. These owners need to make repairs as needed and hotels.com should give people like myself a refund so that we could go to a different property.

The sink in our room was broken. You did not have water. Changed rooms and the dirty rag my husband used they folded and put back on the rack in the bathroom. The people were not very friendly and we lefted. Paid to stay a night and left after 30 minutes. Didn't get a refund.

When checking in, the receptionist had to make a photo copy of my debit card, which was sketchy. The lobby was filthy and piled with boxes. The room and bathroom was very dirty. Was really disappointed in all aspects of this hotel. Didn’t have a room available with. A king bed and working tv at first. Hotel employee actually asked me if I wanted 2 double beds instead or if I needed a working tv. Yes, I want a king bed with a working tv cause that’s what I reserved and paid for in advance. Then, first room we were brought too, the AC was really loud, so they attempted to put us another room. I went will the hotel employee to a total of 4 other rooms and they all were unsat, missing beds, missing TVs, or AC not working right. Finally, we found a room on 5th try, with double beds cause couldn’t find a king bed room. Accepted that room and the following morning, the tv stopped working in the room. Very disappointed in my stay here when literally all we needed was a place to sleep for one night.

I know this is a Super 8 and is considered economy value accommodations but this property does not meet minimum standards for a Super 8. Peeling paint in the bathroom, the tub had mildew, ice machines don't work, dirty rooms. We stayed 2 nights and when we returned for the second night our keys didn't work, the room had not been serviced, no clean towels and no one to take care of it. There may have been 7 guests that night. It would seem that the cleaning staff could have managed to get the 7 rooms cleaned.
