I rarely leave reviews, but this needs to be said. Our stay at the Oasis Hotel and Bar was honestly shocking—in the worst way.

The front desk was almost always unattended, and the hallways smelled strongly of marijuana the entire time. The room was very outdated—no USB outlets, no light in the shower (so you’re basically showering in the dark), and the bed smelled terrible and was so uncomfortable that both my husband and I woke up with back aches. The walls are paper-thin—you can hear everything around and above you.

The pool and hot tub were down due to broken heaters, which was never communicated. The vending machines took our $5 and there was no one available to help or refund us.

Breakfast was the worst part. The waffle maker didn’t cook the waffles all the way, there were ants near the food, and the scrambled eggs were slimy. The only decent item was sausage links—there were only two left, with no staff refilling anything. The coffee was extremely bitter and tasted awful. I tried toast and jelly, but the orange jelly smelled so bad I threw it away.

We were genuinely floored this place is still operating in this condition. One of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had.

Needs a good remodel. Pool closed hot open but it also needs to be repaired. Breakfast was way below average. Close to a good restaurant so that helps. Heater not working in room. They did have another we were to use. Location was ok. Smaller town but easy to get to bigger towns for more activities

It's a very $80/night hotel. Clean and safe, but not incredibly comfortable. The rooms were clean, but very dark and had a strange smell. The mattresses were clean, but very firm, and one felt like it had plastic on it. I eventually figured out the hot water (turns out you need to give it ~10 minutes to heat up), but the first day I had a cold and kind of miserable shower.

On a budget, it's not a bad place, but you get what you pay for.

No service to the room. Had to ask for towels to be replaced. Sheets did not fit the bed and came off the mattress multiple times during the night. Breakfast items were ok but not replenished, multiple days we could not eat the hot breakfast as there was nothing there.

The front desk gentleman was wonderful. The room was clean and odor free. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The refrigerator was large and convenient. We had two rooms and the two issues we had were: 1. The sink faucets were too close to the edge of the sink. You couldn't wash your hands without touching the sink bowl. 2. The TV remote in one room didn't work, even with different batteries. However, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very noisy, people slamming doors all hours of the night but especially very early morning hours. We moved the bedside table and it was filthy behind it. Also there’s limited outlets to charge phone or use devices so be prepared to bring an extension cord.

Hotel was obviously rehabbed in the not to distant past and appeared well maintained. It is time for some new fixtures though. Faucets and such were a bit crusty. AC quit a couple of days in but was fixed when I returned the next day. Maid service only made the bed and replaced towels. I was hoping for clean sheets.

The two staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful.
The room was mostly clean- the coffee maker had old water in it and the tray it was sitting on hadn’t been cleaned and smelled. The cloth shower curtain smelled musty, like it had not been allowed to dry properly.
I didn’t use it, but the pool area looked clean. It’s not far from Road America and easy to get to which was convenient.

I understand that this is not a 4 or 5 star facility, we picked it for location and just a night of sleep after a long day of travel. However it is advertised as a Hotel and Bar. When we checked in at a little after eleven PM, we asked if we could get a couple drinks to take back to our room. The desk clerk was not busy, in fact was smoking outside when we got there. She politely told us the bar was closed at eleven. The bar adjoins the check in desk. The \"bar\" is not much bigger than a good sized man cave. It would have taken virtually zero effort to treat us like we were coming home, and throw a couple drinks in a cup. Instead, we had to put our things in our room and then walk to the bowling alley for a nightcap. Sometimes not performing a simple no cost gesture that would take a minute or two becomes the most memorable part of the stay. Is that what management really wants?

I heard that they where re doing the rooms. I think we got the last room on the schedule. The tile around the tub was all cracked. The lamp shade was dented and had some stains on it. The shower area is extremely dangerous. You have to step up about a foot to get in it. I wouldn't be surprised that someone hasn't tripped getting out of it. We try calling the front desk and the clerk could not hear me. I tried calling again no one would answer the phone. Good luck if you are staying here. Price was very high for this hotel.

We particularly liked the location of this property. The pool was also clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was disappointing. The first morning eggs were out before eight. Waffle mix was out. Only one pad of butter was left and the front desk was not manned. That was a problem checking in as no one was there while 4-5 of us were waiting to check in. It was also overpriced for a modest hotel. But it worked out okay and was convenient for us.

This hotel was a gem! It was clean, quiet, but most of all was the price. We stayed for two nights for $160 total (including breakfast) compared to $200 a night for name brand hotels. Everything about it was good. Would definitely recommend. If your tired of spending hundreds of dollars for one night,this is the go to place.

Accessible room has a walk-in Shower with a shower chair and adjustable/removable shower wand. Very helpful and handy.

Only had one small luggage cart.

Property has only one handicapped parking space. It always seems to be in use by the time I get there.

Disappointed that there was no cleaning service and the bed was not remade for a two night stay.

I will stay the staff was very friendly and kind. However we ended up leaving a day early because we just did not enjoy our stay. We were in a room right next to an exit door that had very high traffic throughout the night. Everytime someone came in or out the room door would loudly shake.
The toilet was constantly running and the mini fridge was making loud noises all night.
We found a lot of dust all over and it looked like they only changed the bed sheets and didn’t dust or sweep, there was even an old fork on the ground covered in dust. The shower curtain was not washed or changed properly before our stay there were multiple hairs on it. The microwave was full of water and the remote was sticky. I know we were not there at peak business but I don’t think that should mean standards are any lower.

It was fine. Very average experience. Only inconvenience was the housekeeper coming 40 minutes before check out time and saying “housekeeping!” And us explaining we have until 11, to which she responded “I come back in 5 minutes? 1 minute?” And we had to explain that we have the room for the rest of the hour. A bit bizarre (since she knows when guests can check out) and inconvenient since it was in the middle of us getting our luggage in order. Other than that it was all fine. Quiet hotel and clean.

It was an OK stay for one night. The room was clean. However, we had to request an iron and ironing board for our room. Then we discovered that the outlet was not working and had to unplug the microwave for a working outlet. The bed for comfort was average. I recommend new pillows or bring your own pillows. Our key was deactivated before check out time while we were at a funeral. Had to get it reactivated to grab our belongings before 11.

Very nice work to make this an independent hotel. It has unique character and friendly, hard working staff to match it. The remodel was well done. Only bonus would be to have the bathrooms completely remodeled, too.
Overall, this is a solid choice I would be happy to return to.
