This resort is amazing! I love how clean everything is and it smells so good. The staff is friendly and excellent at what they do. The best part of staying in the Coral adults only section is that guests can also enjoy the amenities in the main building. My husband and I had a wonderful time and honestly have no complaints. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

things i really liked, the food, the drinks, how fast it is to reach the beach & pool you can navigate around the resort pretty quick. the resort was really clean & smelled really good.

things that i did not like, when i was hanging out in my balcony it seemed that i was surrounded by chain smokers. this is a smoke free room resort Iberostar needs to do a better job at policing these nasty chain smokers from smoking in the rooms/balconies

there was a little bit too much pressure from the concierge on joining the \"club Iberostar\" seminars for free services. was a little too much stress, i could like not to be bugged when onvacation.

Amazing and clean property. The buffet at the coral was amazing, avoid the one at the selection the food is less fresh there. Lots of activities during the the day, and the nightly entertainment was amazing as well. 10/10 would recommend. ONLY terrible thing, it said that they provide sunscreen by the pool but when we got there they didn’t have any or weren’t providing any. We ended up going to the gift shop and it was $43 for a sunscreen spray- this is just price gouging, please lower your prices for necessities. Other than that, it was great! We would go back in a heartbeat.

So I’ve gone to a few all-inclusives in my day, and I want to say I was thoroughly impressed with Iberostar Selection Coral Cancún.

The Coral (adults-only) section had a great pool, plenty of beach chairs, and it never felt crowded. People also didn’t do that thing where they leave towels on chairs for 5+ hours and never actually sit there, which was amazing.

The staff were incredible. It’s definitely more laid-back and relaxing rather than a huge party resort, which was perfect for us. And truly — the food was AMAZING. I’ve been to other 5-star resorts with much bigger price tags, and I genuinely loved the food here more. Everything was clean, gorgeous, and so well maintained.

I also want to say a huge thank you to the staff because every single person we interacted with was so kind and patient with my Spanish. On the activity team, I had so much fun with Daniel, Aranza, and Quinten. Saby was literally the strongest person alive carrying what felt like a million drinks on beachside service, and the bartenders Eli and Armando made some of the best drinks I’ve ever had.

It was just such a lovely, chill experience with genuinely incredible people. Thank you, Iberostar team — we had an amazing time and would absolutely come back!

The resort was Ok, would not stay there again! The staff at check in was rude! If you asked them a question, they made us feel like we were bothering them! Our first night we had to have maintenance come to our room to fix the air conditioning and door to the balcony. The swim up bar took a long time to get a drink. Had to keep getting out of the pool to go to the bar by the our lounge chairs. Very slow service at the restaurants! Entertainment was very disappointing!! Will not be returning!

I would rate this travel 4.5. Not because of the hotel, but just my personal preferences. We statyed in the adult Coral section which was great. We had a junior suite and the lay out of the room was great. it has a beach vibe which is cool, but not my preference. I would have prefered more refinement in the room. (-.5) From bath room to bed, sitting are and the jacuzzi on the balcony. The views are great . I would highly suggest getting up to watch the sun rise. The beach and all the areas are maintained. Food and drink options were great and the staff was very helpful. WE statyed at another hotel closer to the hotel zone which was great as well. The one big difference we felt is that iberostar is more mature adult vibe, peaceful, like the spa. The other hotel was more of a fun young adult party vibe. Both were great. Have the party vibe for the first part of our stay and then having iberostar for the last few days was a great way to end our trip. This was our firest iberostar, we will be back.

The Iberostar Selection Coral Cancun nails the sweet spot between boutique adults-only exclusivity and full-scale resort access. Staying on the Coral side gets you a private pool, beach club, and dedicated dining, but you’re never boxed in. Coral Level guests have free access to all the amenities of the main Iberostar property, including multiple pools, a fitness center, spa, and a rotation of specialty restaurants. It genuinely feels like the best of both worlds, and that dual access ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip.

The food was excellent across the board. The variety covers everything from Mexican to Japanese to global cuisine, and the quality stayed consistent whether I was at the buffet or a specialty restaurant. The beach was exactly what you want in Cancun: clean, well-maintained, and easy to enjoy all day.

For golfers, the 18-hole course designed by Isao Aoki is a legitimate highlight. The conditions were incredible during my visit, and the rental clubs are top-end with nearly new Titleist T200 irons, Vokey wedges, and Scotty Cameron putters available.

Don’t get sucked into the membership pitch. They are extremely pushy and it’s not worth taking the time away from your vacation.

This property is very large with the potential of lots of people as was the case last week. Apparently Easter week is Passover so there was a party of about 1500 Jewish families there for over a week to celebrate they booked an entire section of the resort and restaurants were not available to us and they were loud late and rude Do not go here during that time of year my understanding is that they have a contract for a few more years

This Resort appeared to be everything we had expected… close proximity to the airport, beautifully well maintained grounds easy access to the beach (although the sourgasam was prevalent, but maintained throughout the day) a beautiful view from our spacious Jr Suite Oceanfront on the Adults Only side.

The food was fresh and well prepared… the huge problem was the resort had not given us warning during our booking that a group of nearly 2,000 members who rented a whole section of the resort, and cut off five restaurants that were advertised as available to us during our stay.

We were given two restaurants, a buffet, and outdoor food events.

It was a repetitive menu of the main area, from being Italian night, Steakhouse, and a Brazilian night.

There is a side building with two options on specific nights that are Asian, or Mexican, the food was good, but the same options on the day of those nights, and long waits.

Had we been told we would have definitely booked our ten day stay either before or after that event as we were limited to certain areas/restaurants that is normally offered.

The staff were over worked, and overwhelmed, which caused a lot of confusion, and little communication. Not the staff’s fault.

We would suggest not booking days before, and after Palm Sunday for the next few years as this group has a 10 year contract, and it sadly affected many people’s stay, it wasn’t the end of the world, but unfortunate for many.

We had the worst trip ever! Iberostar had an event booked for a private group of 1800 people over our stay that made it so none of the restaurants were available to us, with the exception of the one in the adults only section. Also, the nightly entertainment was canceled due to this group taking over almost the entire resort. Iberostar should have let us know this!! I would have either booked different dates or a different resort. Totally unacceptable.

The staff were just lovely people. Friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The beach is fantastic.
The room service menu could use some work however. While the breakfast menu was good, we were unimpressed by the mid day offerings.
The facilities were lovely. Only real complaint was the music at the poolbar. I come to the beach to hear the sound of the beach and the occasional kid laughing or screaming. But listening to amplified music on the beach is a big no no.

We were happy to have stayed at the coral part of the resort as it was less busy but still had activities throughout the day. We also had full access to the family side by staying in the coral part which was nice for certain activities and the nightly shows. To note, the $400 offered for $$ activities(like cabanas, the spa, golf, etc.) from Expedia cannot all be used at once and was given to us in $25 increments for each activity booked. We definitely did not use it all. Other than that the resort was phenomenal, we would stay there again!

Amazing place! We stayed at the coral section (adults only) and let me tell you the views from our room were incredible! We stayed in a corner unit on a high floor and wow! However every room in that section will offer you the same. All oceanfront balconies practically sitting over the beach. The hot tub on the balcony facing the ocean was also amazing!

The property grounds were immaculate and they groom the beach every morning cleaning it of any seaweed. The beach was awesome and had plenty of chairs and huts to spend the day there if that is your choice. Just get there around 7am if you want to stake your choice of chairs or gazebo. The ocean water itself was turquoise color and pleasantly warm although the surf on a couple of days did produce nasty rip currents and an overwhelming amount of seaweed in the water and along the beach after they had already groomed it. It’s nothing they can do about it since it seemed to coincide with high winds and weather. The first half of our stay however the water was very nice free of seaweed and a very nice and smooth ocean floor without the strong riptides. The sand was sugary soft. Overall I would give the beach an 8 out of 10.

The coral section infinity pool is where we spent most of our days and it was spectacular! Plenty of sun loungers and the waiters were awesome! The activities staff at the pool keep it fun all day with activities and games throughout the day with a dj playing music in the background. Swim up bar awesome

We returned to Iberostar Selection Coral Cancun because we truly enjoyed our one-week stay two years ago; however, this visit may be our last. Despite booking six months in advance and requesting a king bed for our anniversary, we were initially assigned a double queen room and asked to pay extra for a king bed on a higher floor. We spent the first night in a king room on the first floor above the lobby, which was noisy and poorly maintained. The shower faucet was covered in rust, and there was noticeable nighttime noise, possibly from nearby guests or operations below.

We then paid to upgrade to a corner room the rest of our stay, which offered a beautiful view, but maintenance issues persisted. Both curtains had fallen off the track and could not fully close, and the coffee machine was leaking water. In addition, service at the à la carte restaurant in the adults-only building was very slow—we waited about 15 minutes before anyone took our drink order, not even offering a glass of water. As a result, we avoided the à la carte restaurant for the rest of our stay and only dined there on buffet nights. Overall, this experience did not meet the standard of our previous visit.

I believe the room they gave us was a room that wasn’t used in a long time the mirrors where so damage I couldn’t even see myself the shower had rust stains on the tile , the water ran rust got the first few minutes we were across from the employee’s stocking room , the hallway carports were so stained I thought I was in a 2 star hotel very disappointed, the food was appalling I got sick the second day , drinks were not first class not much of a selection other than slushy drinks , not very good service no beach service , couldn’t get into any of the restaurants can’t make redos , the NYE party was horrible you had to buy a table to sit at to listen to a DJ , no entertainment, party was out door on the grass couldn’t dress and dance full of families we were staying in the Corel adult only , will never go back , the only thing we enjoyed was the beach and the view other than that was horrible disappointed, not worth the price we paid would not recommend it .

This is our second time staying here and we were not disappointed! Every room has a beautiful view, and the all-inclusive has great food and drink options. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s not an overly young or old crowd and there are lots of activity options on the property. Our favorite part is floating in the pool while watching the ocean ❤️
My only comment is that some parts of the hotel are showing a little wear (hallway carpets for example.)

My honest take on this hotel is the cleanliness of the room and property, the beach view, the balcony, and the incredible staff is that it all made me and my wife stay there feel like a beautiful dream. Staff was rude, especially after we refused a timeshare presentation. The property isn’t kept up, no quality control on food. My partner got food poisoning from property’s food and had to pay $550 US dollars for medical attention and property said that’s not their problem.
The wifi didn’t work and was told to “deal with it” room service took over 1.5hrs to arrive. They up charge medication ridiculously, something that normally costs $11 was being sold for $57. Restaurant schedules are inconsistent and do not match their app (which you’re told to use for nearly everything on the property). The water in bedroom shower comes out yellow at first. The tub didn’t work. There were just way too many discrepancies in quality and service for what they charge.

The resort is beautiful. The room was lovely and the beach was excellent. The big problem was the food. It was mostly cold and not very good at all. Very disappointed in that.

I loved everything about this place .Well except that the family side was way more fun then the adult side.Like why would I wanna hear caribien music .im in Mexico but the family side was playing Spanish music .Were in a Spanish country.
