Great hotel and facilities in the middle of Ikaria. We chose this location to explore both sides of the island and it's blue zone. The hotel had great breakfast options including coffee or ikarian tea, with seating overlooking the water on the balcony. Large rooms and we paid for a sea view which was beautiful to wake up to. Hotel also had pool and games room. Also within walking distance to a grocery store and a few great restaurants. Would recommend!

Beautiful hotel, great staff and service. Room was slightly cramped but clean and modern. It had a great balcony with two chairs and a table, and looked out to the sea. The view of the stars and the Milky Way was incredible at night! Unfortunately, it was very windy the two days we were there in October. The swimming pool was also not heated, so we were not able to use it. I had a small issue with the water... one night, the cold water was running brown and the hot water turned cold or ran out from the bathroom sink, but resolved themselves. When I showered one morning, the hot water turned cold on me, but after a minute or two resumed hot. We also enjoyed the lobby area staring out at the sea! There is a bar where you can have the staff fix a drink to enjoy on the many sofas in the lobby. The breakfast was also very nice and varied, with many dishes!... yogurt, honey, jams, cereals, breads, meats, eggs (one morning), potatoes, cakes, cookies, Tsoureki, various milks, juices, and coffee, and a coffee machine that made espresso and cappuccinos, etc. Memi was extremely friendly and gave us suggestions of villages and restaurants to explore. We especially liked a tiny bar in the village of Christos named Cafe Rahati. Quaint, stone cafe with homemade liqueurs, spanakopita and chocolate μωσαϊκό/kormos. Great stay.

Everything about Cavos Bay is excellent! The rooms are bright and clean, and the staff is amazing. Everyone from the owner to the front desk to the kitchen to housekeeping was warm and friendly. They treat everyone like family. I will definitely come back! ❤️

Beautifully situated hotel, sea view room gives you both sunrise and sunset experiences. Pools with sea water and lovely views. Very close to the village with a couple of local beaches and many dining options.

It’s a remote beautiful property, can’t really walk to anything. Internet connection works in the room & on the property throughout.

Absolutely NEED a car to go anywhere. I’d put dark curtains if it were my hotel since as the sun rose, it woke me up way earlier than I wished… I’d also not charge for breakfast & make available lactose free yogurt & milk.

There’s a supermarket with lots of choice, a short car ride away, Sklavenitis. It sells all kinds of fresh, local fruits, local vegetables, nuts, seeds, and bottled water.

The dinner salad I ate when I arrived was delicious. I was advised faucet water is potable but it affected my digestive track. Guess it takes some getting used to…this was my first ever trip to Ikaria.

Lovely 3* hotel in the center of Armenistis with walking distance to cafes, restaurants and supermarket. Amazing view - on the beach but not possible to swim due to rocks and big waves. Building is old but rooms are comfortable and renovated, same style of hotels all over the island. Lovely and pleasant staff at the reception willing to help with any questions we had re island and where to go etc.

This was our favorite hotel that we stayed in on our travels. We didn’t want to leave! We had a sea view room with a spacious balcony and the view is amazing. Nice updated rooms. Breakfast included- very nice quality with options for everyone. Hotel bar and hangout in the lobby. Very friendly staff who helped us plan our time there. Convenient location with cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Only regret is not hanging out by the pool while we stayed there. It was gorgeous.

The pools needed to be filtered and chlorinated. It was cloudy the two days we stayed. Our toilet did not flush but only when we lifted the cover. Room was small and needed updating. On a good note the views were breathtaking and their balconies made up for the things that were wrong.

The rooms did not have a bureau or draws for clothing. You have to live out of your suitcase and the closet. No tissues except for toilet paper. Refrigerator would not make ice.

This is a lovely property overlooking the water with two pools. It was quiet while we were there so, some of the water elements were turned off around the property, however it was a lovely view and we could see the sunrise and sunset from our balcony. The owner/operators were friendly and polite and the woman working the front desk, Marina, was helpful and efficient.

Property was located in the centre of Armenistis with great water views. We also had excellent service by one of the reception staff, Katerina (a German girl who speaks fluent Greek), who went out of her way to assist us in every way! I've rarely seen this level of service and we do travel a lot. However, this hotel is certainly not a resort. Some towels were threadbare and ripped on the edges! These should be retired. If you wanted a drink near the pool (as it can get really hot outdoors) you needed to walk up to the reception (two floors up). The receptionist would then walk to the nearby bar and make the drink for you, which you would take down back to the pool. The breakfast became monotonous as mostly the same choices were offered daily. If you came to Ikaria to get a glimpse of the longevity lifestyle popularised by National Geographic as a Blue Zone, you might be disappointed - processed meats, cakes, canned fruit were offered. Yes, there was some fresh fruit e.g. watermelon, and cut up tomato and cucumber every morning, but too bad if you don't like eating eggs, processed meat and sweets for breakfast each day. Also, since coffee is the main beverage offered, they could provide proper coffee mugs. There were two spotted and all the guests were looking to see who would get them each morning as the tea cups (150-200 ml) offered are too small for a decent breakfast drink, meaning you had to get up multiple times.

Perfect location right next to the sea and only 2 minutes from the village. Although the hotel was quite full, it didn’t feel busy or overcrowded at all. The staff were all incredibly warm and friendly in a very natural way. - we loved Cavos Bay!

Cavos Bay Resort - peaceful and friendly hotel

Some of the rooms are renovated and look gorgeous, mine was not - and the shower was small. Everything was clean, and the front desk staff is FANTASTIC. By the end of our stay, we felt like family and did not want to leave. Breakfast is ok. The view is wonderful. Very peaceful. Location is good and a quick walk down the hill to many restaurants and a grocery store and ATM.

We booked for three days and stayed for eight: extremely friendly and welcoming family-owned hotel. Spacious and comfortable room with magnificent panorama of the sea from our window.
Two outdoor pools if we were not at the beach.
Fantastic, sandy beaches close at hand organised with umbrellas and sun- loungers in the central sections but plenty of space and privacy at the ends of the bay.
One of the recommended tavernes, Mary Mary, serves exceptionally good and imaginative food. On non- beach days the Afianes winery in the hills behind the hotel makes an excellent visit and exceptional wine, and there are also beautiful and fascinating monasteries, steeped in peace, close at hand.
The best hotel to stay at in this part of Ikaria, and amazingly good value.

We booked for three nights and are staying for eight... a very friendly and helpful family-run hotel, incredible value for money, in the middle of Ikaria’s resort of Armenistis.
Wonderful 180 degree view of the sea from our spacious & comfortable room. Breakfast only is provided but there is an exceptional taverna, Mary Mary, less than five minutes walk away.
A choice of fantastic beaches close by, sandy & pebbly, and good surf if the wind is right.
Relaxed place to stay, and a swimming pool if the sea is rough.

really friendly, nicely situated hotel - the staff, especially the reception staff, were really great. The latter saved the day when the scheduled bus didn't bother turning up (with no explanation) and managed to track down a taxi to get me to Agios Kirikos in time for my ferry connection.

Air conditioning didn’t work throughout the stay and no effort was made to fix it. The buffet breakfast was youth hostel style and totally unacceptable. Misleading photos and descriptions made me choose this place. NEVER AGAIN!! It merits no more than two stars. Total disappointment.

Feeling the greek peace in all senses

There is so much I can tell about my experience. It was my first visit to the land of my family ancestors and wanted to see if there still were some of them. The lady at the hotel reception helped us a lot; she found them and let us make contact it was amazing. Since we got to the hotel the attention was perfect, friendly and warm. The views from the hotel are beautiful. You can see the beautiful sunset at the hotel terrace and we knew, the day before we left, we could also see the sunrise that is an amazing experience. Both in te same place at different times. About the breakfast, delicious, with some typical dishes and the local honeybee, that is also very good. You can buy it a block form the hotel. Our room was spectacular; a beautiful terrace with a magnificent view, fresh, comfortable. We were just two days but next time will be more. There is so much to experience, so much to visit. I'm sure people in search of a calmed, relaxed experience of Greece will love Cavos Bay Hotel and Ikaria, as we love it from now.

The hotel was very clean. Rooms are basic but have all you need and are a good size with a nice balcony area. Hotel Pool is great. Breakfast is excellent.

Very central to the town, beaches and local area. Hotel staff very helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ikaria and would stay at the cavos bay hotela and apartments again.

Clean well kept room not very spacious especially the shower but was comfortable and quiet with a nice balcony facing the ocean. Staff were also friendly and helpful. Hotel is close to taverns , supermarket, gift shops and Greek cake shop although the area is quite hilly they're only a short walking distance. Don't rely on public transport as I think there was just the one bus per day other options are hire a car or bike or taxi.
