The Star Motel is a cute, quaint little place, nestled right in the middle of everything. Restaurants, bars, shops, and the most beautiful scenery. The rooms are very basic but for one person, possibly a couple they are perfect. The only little glitch I did have, I wanted a late check out, and I never got a response from the staff, not even a no we don’t do that. That bothered me a little bit, but other than that, had a great stay.

The place is a very short walk to all the shops and restaurants of Sedona and parking was directly out the front. The only negative about this place was that the walls were paper thin, we could hear next door so clearly, especially when they were stood outside the front of their room.

My family and I love the fact that everything we need was walkable. The only driving needed is to the hiking trails. The room was cute, cozy, and comfortable. The only downside is how busy the area can be, and trying to park or leave the motel sometimes can suck.

The beds were not comfortable and the TV remotes to two of the TV worked. I did notify them about remote and they told me they worked. My husband and son both tried to get anything to work and we were not able to.

The motel is in uptown with lots of shopping and dining options. It’s also close to hiking trails a mile down the street. No coffee pot but there was a coffee place within walking distance. The room is small but comfy.

Cute & comfortable room, but some updates are needed to the plumbing and heat/AC. The shower head was leaking (we didn’t use it at all), the faucet is functional but corroded, and the wall heater/AC started making a crazy sound so we shut it off (thankfully we were comfortable enough without it). If those things were fixed/replaced, I’d give it 5-stars. The bed & pillows were comfortable and the lighting was good, the door had electronic key code, making check-in effortless, the framed art on the wall was fun (large mushroom forest over a highway with vintage cars), and the fridge, microwave and kettle are all modern/new. So just a few more small updates to make it great.

Room is cute and great location to walk into town. Minor issues with room 6 bathroom door mirror feeling like it was going to fall off every time you opened that door. Toilet was a bit wobbly, shower leaks with constant drip, AC unit was so loud we couldn’t use it. Toilet seat has a melted mark from someone leaving a curling iron or something on it.

Location is fantastic for walkability to tons of dining however there is no maid service at all and no one on site in case you want more towels, toilet paper, or trash taken out. The place was fine for a short stay but there is barely any lighting in the place which made getting ready hard. A full length mirror on the bathroom door would be helpful and the bathroom has zero ventilation. For the price it was fine however we were stuck with barely any towels for our time, no extra toilet and nowhere to dump any of our trash. Someone daily checking rooms for these things would have been nice.

Very cute and located where all the action in Sedona is. In fact the room’s door is just a few feet away from the main road. However it was extremely uncomfortable. The room is tiny, with nothing to sit on except the bed. There is no service per se, as it is all managed by app. If I went to Sedona again I would find a motel just outside of town that actually has people working in it.

Kinda an old school motel vibe but it’s right in the smack middle of Sedona shopping and eating. Room is simple, clean, quiet and has the amenities you’d expect. Bed was comfy. Yes, it’s more like an Airbnb because there’s really no direct staff on site. However, if you want to spend some time in downtown Sedona, do some shopping and eating; not have to travel too far and have a nice cozy room. This is the place.

Nice quaint place. Easy check in. They have door code. I text the person if i need to ask something and they reply fast. We love the king size beds. The cable. We love that its close to shopping and food places. Hotel is center for entertainment.
Its difficult to park due to parking is next to street where car passes. I hope they will have extra more light fixture such as mybe extra lamps(too dark) plus we didnt open the blinds for privacy. And more mirrors.theres only 1 mirror in the bathroom. I have to wait for family to finish using bathroom for me to get ready.

This was my second time staying at the Star Motel and it was fantastic (just as I remembered it from when I stayed with my friend years ago)! I booked room 11 (with two bedrooms) for me and my two moody teenagers, and it was WAY bigger than I expected and we were all very comfortable. The location in uptown Sedona couldn't be more perfect...everything is right there within walking distance. Each room at this little motel is a little bit different, so it is a good idea to contact them and tell them what you are looking for. Our room felt like an apartment and was one of the reasons our stay in Sedona was so relaxing and wonderful.

The outstanding:
1. I’ve stayed all over the world and this could possibly be the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Is the kind of comfort that you expect at a Ritz Carlton. Love the full body pillows as well.
2. Super clean room. No stains or hairs on the sheets, no musty smell in the room. No crusty ceilings or walls, No suspicious stains in the shower. Just a very well-maintained and clean Room and property in general.
3. The price is reasonable. Sedona is an expensive place so kudos to the ownership For not price gouging, and keeping it affordable.
4. You won’t find a better location right in the middle of uptown Sedona. You could walk to Everything and see the whole area. The views of the rocks and the mountains are majestic.
5. The area is obviously very safe.
Other good things
1. The AC worked perfectly.
2. The water pressure in the shower is adequate
3. There’s a large screen smart TV mounted on the wall in the room.
4. A good size, beverage cooler and microwave oven That we’re both very clean.
5. There are a couple of chairs and a small table in front of the room to give opportunities to gaze at the mountains with your morning, coffee and do some people watching.

The AC is mounted kind of high, so if you’re a short family, you might have a hard time reaching the buttons…. Like if you’re 5 feet tall or less.
There is no front desk service.
Check out time is a little bit early at 10 AM. Was not a problem for us,

We love the location of this motel. It just reminded me of when I was a kid in the places we would stay. I felt a little nostalgic. It was very clean and the only reason I would give it a for four is because we had a couple of plugs in the wall that did not work and our fan in the bathroom did not work. The beds were a bit hard, but the sheets were so soft. I would definitely stay there again.

The Star Motel is wonderful! I enjoyed my stay here very much! Everything was clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the check in was very easy and it is in a great location. Once you make your reservation, you receive a code that gives you access to your room - super simple - no waiting around in a lobby behind other people checking in - you just get your code and go to your room! I stayed in the 2 bedroom family room and it was amazing - lots of space. It is located in the heart of Uptown Sedona -steps away from shops and restaurants including Black Cow Cafe which has the best ice cream and 89 Agave which has great Mexican food. This will be the place we stay in Sedona from now on! 😊

The motel was cute, well styled, excellent location, ac wall unit didn't cool down the room well, due to the small size of the room, we realized if we left the bathroom door closed after showering it helped to keep the room cooler through the night, I was unsure about parking when we arrived back one night. All spaces were taken, we realized we could park on the side street which was easy but I called the motel help # to double check. The person was not helpful at all, he said someone would call me back and they didn't, that was really the only downside was that there wasn't anyone to ask questions and get good info about the area.
