The rooms aren't just clean they are well appointed with tactful appointments. My room comes with coffee maker , microwave, and mini fridge as advertised. Usually when I walk into past hotels , I got to find someone to help me with the TV or something else, this is the first motel out of 10 in a month that everything worked as it should and was above standard quality. I highly recommend your next stay would be treating yourself to Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Macon at Sunset Dr. Any other Motel , is just a Tall Tale...

The heating system is outdated. The room was filthy, there was toothpaste spray still on bathroom sink and black pubic looking hair on the sink also. Will NEVER stay here again

The definition of \"Best Value\" depends on what your hold to be core values. But let's start with the room. Clean? Yes. Surely everyone values that. The room was booked to have somewhere decent to crash during a long road trip. Dated decor wasn't an issue (for $70 I wasn't expecting it to be The Four Seasons) and it was surprisingly quiet for an off-highway motel. Electric heating was effective but it pinged, had to turn it off.
As for values, what do you value in hospitality? Backstory: the room was booked 5 minutes before I showed up, never an issue with many previous last-minute bookings made thru hotels.com. But the night attendant said I'd have to wait 45 minutes before the booking showed up on his computer, and then got a spiel about how \"people expect to click a button and get in their room\" (in so many words). Offered cash to secure the room and figure out the rest in the AM, but he said no, that they'd been ripped off before, that he had to follow protocol, & that there'd be someone else at the front desk who wouldn't know what was going on. I said \"that's what writing notes are for\" but that went over his head. Said there'd be coffee and pastries in the AM.
Ended up getting in my room in 10 minutes, but it was a >>stressful<< experience.
In the AM, someone else was doing checkouts, chain-smoking outside. He offered coffee (awful). And after admitting he was slacking by not putting anything else out for b'fast, offered me a honey bun out of a box.

Property was a little out of the way. A mile and a half off main highway. Didn't like A/C units. Close to floor. Had to use cell phone flashlight to see & had to practically stand on head to read. Stayed two different nights. Not consecutively. Breakfast could have been better. Nothing hot except coffee & toast. Had butter for toast, but no jelly. Had cream cheese, but it was plain. Had Honey Buns & Danish. (very few). Bread for toast in a bread loaf with twisty tie. Milk, OJ, & Apple juice. Minimal. Second breakfast,made coffee in room, got a cup of milk & danish. Tried to set it warmer, but couldn't really see well. No matter what I pushed it ran 2 minute's then shut off for 10 minutes. So from 3 am until 5 am I couldn't get to sleep. Really poor night. Why would any Motel put the a/c units be put so low??

Dated, Seedy characters watching me from outside as I pulled up. Looked like residents who were staying the extendedly. Everything was very dated. Spiders and insects in the room and bathroom. Noisy air conditioning unit that woke me up frequently kicking on. Couldn't wait to get away from there. No receipt from front desk. Left early with no one at desk to interact with. Might have left if there were other choices but other hotels had filled up. Won't be returning.

This property is in extreme disrepair. The pictures on the website do not give a current representation of the condition of this property. There is no pool - it has been filled in and planted with roses. The room was clean but it smelled awful, possibly from the aging air conditioner. The lobby is not inviting and I would not even try their coffee machine. It is good enough for a semi-cheap bed and bath.

This hotel definitely was not the cleanest I have ever stayed at. It was also in a sketchy area. The room was ok. But there were spider webs in the shower, the refrigerator leaked, the ac barely kept the room cool. The parking lot was run down and you came in from behind the hotel which was also kind of sketchy.

The stench of water damage and mildew from the ceiling over the entry door, window, and shower was overwhelming. We all ended up with horrible headaches and had to leave before morning because it got so bad. Staff didn't care and they have signs saying Online Bookers will NOT receive Refunds. This is because nothing is as shown online. This is an old motels someone bought and did basic cosmetic repairs to appear liveable. Then used the previous owners' pictures for their online ads. Staff is unhelpful and could care less. Horrible experience!!

Staff was very watchful of us...which was kinda creepy but also at least someone would witness if we got jumped. Had very ghetto feel. Door had huge open gaps along frame, where bugs were free to come in or a peeping Tom would be free to peek away. Bed was super uncomfortable and made lots of noise if you moved or breathed too much. Would NOT recommend.

You never know what you’re going to get with America’s Best Value. We’ve stayed in some that were 4 star and some that should be 1 star. The room here was ok but the parking area and beyond was horrendous. They welcomed dogs but had no grass anywhere for them to do their business. I clean up after my dogs so that would be an issue. If this were in the city, there’s no way I would have got past the outside.

It was less than I expected in cleanliness. There was an odor as we walked into the room. The light in the bathroom had dead bugs in it. There were live bugs in the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend this place unless there is no other hotel room available in Macon, MO.

I asked to change rooms and they insisted that they have no other rooms but the hotel wasn’t packed at all. Then when I asked for a refund they gave me a hard time and told me they can’t help me at all so I had to reach out to Expedia to help me..

The picture on the web site is not right. There is no breakfast served. The room was not clean -- only just presentable. There were flies and bugs everywhere. Also the lights outside right by the door needs to be a light that refects bugs. I think America's Best has really gone down hill. I guess you pay for what you get.

I have stayed there many times, its always clean but it is getting quite run down, needs a face lift and the walls need fixed, wallpaper is coming off of them.
But it is affordable and not too much out of the way, which does make it nice and quiet.

There wasn't one thing about this stink hole that's good. I got sick There and it wasn't because of the weather. The room was very dirty (cobwebs on the ceiling).the disinfectant was very harsh and it burned my throat. The only other thing was that it except pets. I had to pay for my service dog.

Run from that place. The door lock doesn't work. There is no breakfast eventhough it shows it in the pictures online. Our room smelled like smoke. The hot means cold and the cold is hot on the faucet. Not a good place, plus the walls are paper thin, and you can hear people walking above you.

I needed a property that accepted pets so this was a plus but $20 extra a night was excessive to me. The property and inside of the room need some updating. The bed itself was comfortable but made a clanging noise every time we sat on or got into bed. Very quiet at night. Room did not smell of smoke which sometimes I have found this even if non smoking room. Next to a great BBQ restaurant. Right off highway. Staff very personable and friendly. No breakfast but coffee. Absolutely a good value for the price. Would stay here again.

The pictures were incredibly misleading. I understand it’s a “you get what you pay for” type of thing but the mattress was so unbearably uncomfortable. I don’t even know how you find mattresses that bad. The only thing about this hotel that worked was the housekeeping. It was vacuumed but the room still stunk like cigarettes and marijuana.
