Overall excellent.

Expensive restaurants with small portions, it is worth to consider driving 15-30 minutes down the road for a lunch.
Some furniture and property require renovation.
Personnel are brilliant.
Gym is ok
Outside warm pool is perfect.

I found bedbugs in my bed on the first night of my stay. I requested to move rooms and it took over an hour and a half at 0100 to change rooms. At no point did I receive an apology from the management, either at the time or when I raised this again at checkout. It was completely unacceptable. And the nonchalant way in which it was dealt with showed me that this must be a regular occurrence.

We chose Pik Palace Shahdag, a Marriott Bonvoy hotel, for our honeymoon expecting a premium 5-star experience — but it turned out to be a major disappointment.

Right from the start, the AC in our room didn’t work. At this level, you expect basic comforts to be guaranteed, especially when you’re paying premium prices. We reported it immediately and someone from engineering came at midnight, assuring us it was fixed. But the AC never worked, and we spent the entire first night feeling hot and suffocated.

The next morning, we again requested help and asked for a room change. Shockingly, they offered us a room without a balcony or mountain view — even though we had paid 100 manat extra (double what we should have) for a balcony and view. This was unacceptable.

We stayed in the room the entire next day until 9 PM, still dealing with the broken AC and no proper solution. After multiple complaints and reminders, they finally moved us — late at night, right before our final morning checkout.

While the final room was fine, it came too late. Both our nights were ruined, especially the first — a night we’ll never get back. The mismanagement, overcharging, and lack of urgency from a so-called 5-star hotel was shocking.

I would not recommend Pik Palace Shahdag to anyone, especially not for a special occasion. You’re paying for luxury but receiving careless service and discomfort instead.

Fantastic Hotel

This is a fantastic hotel.
Very comfortable and warm room. We had an amazing time at your hotel! The pool area was fantastic, and the staff were always smiling and ready to help. The spa services were outstanding, and the view from our room was breathtaking. We also appreciated the eco-friendly initiatives implemented by the hotel.I will certainly be back

The only negative point

The only what I did not like there is not enough waiters to serve full loaded breakfast time, as juices, water, tea or coffee you can get only upon requests from waiter, means sit and wait if he is busy by serving others.

Clean, warm and well kept. This beautiful hotel is the perfect stay for families and individuals, with multiple restaurants surrounding. The rooms are well heated, clean and modern. The hotel has many amenities such as a gym, indoor and outdoor pool, as well as a ski shop below. I would definitely stay again.

Amazing experience. Breathtaking views. Saddam from front desk was very helpful and made our stay even more comfortable. He was always available to help us with our queries.

Housekeeping team also kept checking frequently to make sure our rooms were clean.

The hotel is really neat, breakfast is quite generous and has a wide diversity of options. The ski resort was impressive and prices are cheap when coparing to ski resorts in Colorado US. Snow will not be the same but it's fun

The hotel is covered in social distancing signs and also signs telling people to wear masks but people were just walking around without them. Also I was waiting at reception at the 2m sign and a woman with no mask on just walked in front of me and started talking to the man on reception. Instead of telling her to wait in line, the member of staff just started serving her and I still had to wait. What’s the point in putting signs up and then not making people use them!! Also I tried calling the hotel 5 times before we travelled and also tried to contact them on Instagram but got no answer or reply. Not good!! Also, this is a ski resort and people who are skiing should be allowed to have late check out.

5 star hotel and lovely faclities outside of the room however service is awful. Getting a table for dinner or breakfast seems like you're asking an impossible task. Holes in the pillow cases. Not fantastic by any means. Better off in another Shahdag hotel.

Great stay in a great resort

I would highly recommend Pik Palace and Shahdag for a short ski break. The hotel was very comfortable and despite a little confusion regarding our request for twin beds and late check-out we were very happy with the hotel.

The room was modern with a great bathroom and very comfortable beds. We had a fantastic view of the mountain.

There was a large selection in the breakfast buffet with hot and cold options - much needed preparation for the day on the slopes.

We booked transport online using a link that the hotel emailed to us. Although the website implies the transport is organised through the hotel it is a separate company. This worked out well for transfers to/from Baku - although the overtaking was a little daunting at times.

We arranged lessons through the ski school which is based at another hotel but this is within walking distance. For convenience, we also hired our equipment from the same hotel.

We enjoyed the one meal we had in the Italian restaurant in Pik Palace. It was busier than we expected but the staff did their best to accommodate us. The 2nd night we chose to try one of the restaurants at a different hotel (again a short walk away).

Overall, Pik Palace seemed to be the best of the hotels available in Shahdag and comes highly recommended.

Warm and cozy snowy experience

Its one of 3 resorts on top in shadag other 2 being park chalet ans shahdag resort and spa.. its relitively new 5 star hotel in middle of nice snowy slopes.. they hav good skiing facilities.. nice italian and local cuisine and other options in other hotels.. kids club to b shared with park chalet guests which has nice facilities for younger guests... overall nice experience with ckean and comfortable stay

Nice hotel not ski in ski out with young kids.

This is a fantastic hotel. However we were with our 2 and 5 year old and to ski, you have to carry a lot of gear along way before you can ski. If you and your kids can already ski and carry a pair of skis, great. Otherwise staty in the hotel and spa.

First impression of hotel is very good, reception of front desk was good too. When I asked about the Lounge access, the front desk has not explained it well that there is actually no Lounge for the guests. We had issue for the first night of the lobby music, or the terrace music, being overheard from my room. I had to meet the manager to sort it out. But the good thing it was eventually sorted it out. Their relation manager is fantastic as she managed to sort out several other minor issues brilliantly. I believe the hotel requires to build up on the services and may be shops available. Overall; it is highly recommended hotel, I will surely stay at it the next time I am back.

Отель был загружен в новогодние праздники и службы не всегда справлялись со своей работой. Ожидание при заселении из-за того, что номер был не готов и проблемы с уборкой (приходили вечером с горы, а номер не убран) немного испортили впечатление. Думаю, после праздников все должно быть лучше. В остальном, отель прекрасный.

Отличный отель за такие деньги (25 т.р. за 2 ночи) за 4 взрослых и 4 детей. Все хорошо, номера, бассейны, завтраки и т.п.

Один минус - дорогое лыжное оборудование (в отеле Шахдаг, что рядом на 30% дешевле, а если спуститься ниже на лыжный центр (для тех, кто не живет в отелях), то не 50%) и дорогая еда в ресторанах.
