The windows are not clean another to enjoy the view. Toilet seat is broken, toilet paper holder unscrewed. Shower soap gel is screwed by the sink dispenser, while the hand wash soap dish is in the shower. My floor was wet due to an AC leak from next door apartment. Same breakfast for 3 days. I have to pay extra money to go eat next door at the Intercontinental Hotel. I’m sorry..

What is displayed on the website is not the accurate depiction of the water, however still nice to wake up with a view of the ocean. No shuttle to pick up from the airport. Small bathroom but room is big. A little update within the room would make this place great !

Although the staff was friendly and allowed us to check in early, we didn’t enjoy our stay. After arriving, we wanted to take a nap. This was impossible because the bed was hard as a rock, and the entire hotel was filled with kids of all ages. It seems there was a soccer tournament in town because they all had soccer jerseys on. They were everywhere and they constantly made noise. We were on the 5th floor and the way the hotel is setup where the room’s are located causes an echo effect, so the noise was even more apparent, it was as if the kids were right outside our door. Our room didn’t have a do not disturb sign, which I usually use every time I stay at a hotel for a short period of time. This sign would’ve come in handy especially because housekeeping threw away my dirty underwear and socks. My guess is they probably thought it was trash since they were in a plastic bag. I always put my dirty laundry in a plastic bag and keep it in the hotel room so it doesn’t stench my clean clothes. I’ve never had housekeeping get rid of it until now. I’ll mention it again, the bed was hard as a rock. To the point where I woke up kind of sore in the mornings. We noticed that for some reason housekeeping changed our bed the last day we were there. They removed the king size bed and replaced it by putting two beds together. We noticed because there was an indentation in the middle of the bed during our last night. I won’t be staying at this hotel again.

This is 100% the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. They held me captive against my will. I chose not to check in after seeing that they were giving me the run around with the hotel rooms. Not even one of the rooms looked anything like Expedias photos. They said thats Expedias fault for advertising that picture. I argued that Expedia doesn’t have time to be falsely advertising when they have millions of hotels to focus on. Nothing worked in the rooms, the lights in the primary bedroom didn’t work, the lock box didn’t work. The smell of mildew was beyond what my lungs could handle. I immediately went into an asthma attack. The hotel manager sent an employee to stop me and told their security to lock in my driver from leaving until I paid the $200 for one night. I was in the room for a total of 1-2 minutes and said if you can’t get rid of that smell and fix every issue that I need for a safe stay then I’m leaving!
This wasn’t American soil. This was in South America! I would never advise anyone to visit this nightmare hotel again! I went straight to the Hilton where they had compassion and kindness. Clean rooms and employees that do care about you and your wellbeing.

Tienen un aliado para los tours que se llama DISCOVERY y literalmente estafan a los turistas porque cobran cosas que son gratuitas dentro de los tours que ofrecen. Adicionalmente la calidad de los proveedores del tour es muy baja, desde carros que dejan de funcionar devolviéndonos en taxis locales (lo que no es seguro porque armas son tomados en la calle) hasta comida que no está bien tratada afectando la salud de los turistas. El proveedor está ubicado dentro del hotel y los funcionarios del hotel nos indican a los huéspedes que ellos hacen parte del servicio ofrecido por Regatta. Pese a que se le informó a la gerente de todas las complicaciones y de los dineros que los cobraron por asistir a eventos gratuitos, no recibimos respuesta alguna de su parte y lo que se percibe es que el personal se toma esto completamente a la ligera sin darle la seriedad del caso que esto amerita.

This amazing hotel, it's perfectly placed right across the street, from the beach and within a ten minute, walking distance to at least a dozen different restaurants. Any problem I had with my room was quickly fixed by the hotel staff. In fact, on my second day there, the a c broke and they immediately switch me over to another room. This what's the second time I stayed there, the guest services staff are really accommodating, i booked an excursion in the lobby via the excursion / activities managers and there was one young lady in particular, at the hotel front desk who spoke fantastic English and addressed all my questions and concerns. I would rate this hotel a five star in all aspects

The air conditioning was not enough cold for the room, we need to request a fan. we complained about it and the maintenance staff come in, open de door with out knocking at the door first, at the time my wife was changing to go to the beach and I have to rush to tell them to wait and don’t open the door. Mold in the showers floors. Pool wall inside very dirty and built up, elevator floors dirty all the time. Construction workers in the elevator carrying doors and material.

However note the beach in front of the hotel is not private but can rent a shade and beds between 30k-50k pesos ($8-$12 USD ) a day. Always have small change on you for tips and local vendors and set price before buying on the beach or in the city.

The pictures that are posted on line about the rooms at this hotel could not be any farther from the truth as this place is so outdated and dirty to the point where we found roaches in our bathroom and water leakage in the bathroom. The rooms look nothing like the pictures so if I have to rate this hotel I would rate is worst than a rundown motel 8. For anyone considering this hotel as an option, do yourself a favor and stay at the worst motel 8 you can find. Fortunately for us the hotel was okay to cancel our reservation after we had a chance to check out two rooms and neither one were up to par, so we took our money and stayed else where.

The primary problem was a check in. We had booked the best room with an ocean view. They gave us ocean view, but not the room we payed for. It took over 30 minutes of arguing and threatening them with a call to hotels.com to get what we payed for. They told me there was no such room available, but it eventually did. Not a good way to start three days at the beach.

Great staff, very friendly, outdated building, needs more TLC , simple step would be getting real plants not fake. The room it self wasn’t that bad good mattress terrible pillows . Nice view even the public beach was a nice experience, pleasant vendors . You just have to say “No thank you “, and understand they are trying to make their leaving by offering their products/ service. Overall a good experience!

The hotel was ok but it is not a 4 star hotel. They did not changed the towels every day and sometimes we would lack of any. Also, they never had towels for the pool or beach. It took forever to go up and down in the elevators.

Overall the hotel is well located as it is in front of the beach in the nice area of bocagrande.

Huge rooms and friendly staff. I made a mistake with my reservation and they helped me to correct it without any issue. I did not get a chance to visit the pools as I preferred the beach but this hotel was excellent in every way. I would have been much happier with my vacation had I reserved my entire trip here rather than trying a couple of places. I recommend the extra couple bucks to stay here I stayed a block away and had a very bad experience so i recommend to spend the extra dollars and have a great vacation.

* Spacious room
* Great view of the ocean
* Right across the street from the beach
* AC worked great
* Two pools, and if you don't have an ocean view room there is a sunset observation deck, if you don't just watch it from the beach
* Very good breakfast

The not great -

* Had to ask for a second key card so that the AC would run while we were away
* Tiny bathroom
* Bed was hard as a rock - felt like a layer of foam on top of a cement slab. Actually woke up sore in the mornings
* One electrical outlet cover kept falling off
* If the hotel is busy, leave several minutes for the elevator to arrive
* The in-house tour agency was significantly more expensive than prices we found on the street

Overall, very decent hotel. I would go back, but I also might try renting one of the apartments nearby that you can find at similar prices.
