Great room with large kitchen including laundry, living room and dining area, plus 2 bedrooms. Our room had a HUGE balcony off of it with dining table. So nice. The rooftop restaurant/bar was awesome! We had some drinks and enjoyed complimenting snacks and the kids loved the massage chairs. Special spot. The pool was awesome!

10/10 staff reception & cleaners 👍. Pool great 👍. Room stayed decent although don’t understand all the glass seperators between bed & living room keep it open one side at least I can understand kitchen side. Disappointed breakfast (tried once) not fresh and cafe only open until 10:30am glad I didn’t pay for every morning. Good coffee but when have machine & pay should be for a latte or capuccino 👍. Rooftop well ‘overrated’ for views but each for your own. Corridors & lifts too warm. Generally feels uncomfortable wandering the place unlike hotels stayed in my time few & far between. Tv’s take too long to go on in rooms (if they do). Alot to improve on here. Not the best place to stay from a ‘solo’ traveller perspective but I chose apartment style stay which not used to on travels so far. Glad I tried now I know.

This was our 2nd stay here, and unfortunately it was disappointing.
Our room was not cleaned properly. Several times we had to get the cleaners back. Thick layer of dust on the shelving, like it had not been cleaned ever... ans kitchen was not up to scratch. Bathroom average.
The pool was out of order, despite the hotel saying it would be open when i booked. Very disappointing given it is one of the key reasons we stay here.
No airport shuttle.
Finally, i had requested a quiet room, however our room was right below the Sky Bar, and people coming and going all night comong out of the lifts or the fire stair access was not quiet. 3.5 stars out of 5.

Location misleading in an isolated industrial area. While staff friendly & helpful. We needed their help to use a traditional key in an out of date door lock being told to hold the handle in a precise manner in order to lock/unlock door. Outdated and not the ‘star’ level quality we were expecting. Only recommended if you are on contract working in industrial area as seemed to be their clientele.

Spacious two bedroom apartment with a tall fridge and room for preparing and eating meals. Staff were amazing as always. Pool was perfectly cool despite the weather being 40 degrees. I got a welcome beer on arrival! Rooftop bar was excellent as usual, and we appreciated the gift of two drink vouchers. Zen is our city staycation preference.

It’s cleanish, but old and tired in places and as a result not clean looking. For example the corners of the shower and drain areas. The bed is tiny, if you were expecting a king / queen like most hotels then you’ll be disappointed. Parking is first come first in, 10pm on a Fri night and there was nowhere for us to park.
There is nothing around you within walking distance. Staff are friendly, but the young guy who booked us in wasn’t very happy or helpful. The cafe is only open till 10.30am, nowhere during the day to get coffee without driving somewhere, there are no coffee makers in the room only instant.
Cafe food is very poor, not nice at all, very expensive, we ordered a big breakfast between us, poached eggs weren’t cooked properly, bacon almost resembled microwave bacon, very thin and cheap quality, beans were hard and no taste, I’m assuming there attempt on home made ones. Sausages, were 2 small hot dog looking things smothered in what we can only assume was gravy, they were not nice. To sum the breakfast up, we paid $40 for 2 lattes half a slice of toast each and a snotty poached egg.

On the plus side, every second day our towels and dish towel were changed for clean ones, the girl was lovely and friendly and couldn’t do more to be accommodating. The washing machine in the room was so handy and the airer. Although a small washing line and pegs would have been more helpful.
Overall we had a lovely time in Darwin, and the hotel, whilst not the best it was ok.

Zen Hotel was exceptional the staff were lovely & welcoming. Our room was spacious with all the room amenities you could need with a beautiful balcony. The pool was amazing our little girl loved it as well as the Zen roof top drinks & nibbles which was the highlight each evening with a sensational view & sunset.. we had the pleasure of meeting the hotels owner M we can not say enough about how wonderful he was, we enjoyed our time chatting with him and being blown away by his beautiful hospitality.. our time in Darwin was extraordinary due to M & all his fabulous staff. Only found out about the pool being out of operation after booking. To be fair they made alternative arrangements to use other facilities but would have been good to know upfront when booking. Rooftop bar was really nice for the sunset, with complimentary drinks. The after hours reception (Brett) was very good.

Parking was easy, walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
Breakfast was off menu not a buffet like we expected but was cooked fresh and was nice sitting on or outside seating.

Definitely would recommend and re- visit.

Upon arrival we received an upgrade to a family suite on the13th floor, room 1311, which had views over the harbour. Great room with plenty of space consisting of open kitchen, 2 bedrooms with queen beds and each room had on-suites. The room had everything needed to be self contained (including washing machine liquid and dishwashing tablets) and made the stay very comfortable.

The roof top bar area with, 360 views of the city and habour, is a fun place to end the day and the free snacks, when purchasing drinks, is a treat.

Thank you Ramada, we greatly appreciate the upgrade, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend your suites and stay again when visiting Darwin.

A great choice especially if you have a car

We enjoyed our stay especially because it has a self catering kitchen, a good pool, and self parking. We also had lovely views towards Fisherman’s Wharf.
The staff were all lovely and helpful and the roof top bar is a great bonus, with great views across the city.
It would be even better with a more comfortable lounge. Thank you.

I travelled with my Mum from Melbourne and we loved our stay at the Ramada! Easy check in for a 2am arrival and the rooftop bar with views was a really nice spot to unwind. You could walk easily down to the wharf and we loved watching all the movement down at the fishing docks! Would reccomend

The communication by the staff was cold and on the point of rude. The staff did not care about the customer.
I cancelled my booking and left before to find another hotel. I do not recommend this hotel if customer service and a warm atmosphere is what you want. Also if you don't run a credit card they demand $500 cash deposit!! ( Especially as a return customer).
The hotel I walked into around the corner - central hotel - came up with an option within a minute. ( Intravel a lot for work and leisure and will never stay at the Zen again

The Ramada suites are located in a high rise on the edge of Darwin CBD. It is a 15 min walk to the centre of the CBD or the harbour area. It has parking facilities and probably best suits those with a car. The apartment was clean and all required amenities were present. The focus is on practicality for housekeeping rather than guest comfort, with fully tiled floors, limited servicing and rather cramped bathroom & bedroom. The living space in our 1BR upgraded suite was generous, but furnishings rather basic. Pool was great. The “included” breakfast was limited to value pp.

This was the 4th time we have stayed here, it keeps getting better every time we come back.
The Hotel is in a great location; staff are always friendly.
Rooftop bar is awesome.
We got to meet the owner, and he was just brilliant to talk too, (not to mention the number of Lollie's he gave to our grandson to keep.

I chose Zen over other options that were closer to the waterfront and wasn't disappointed. The comfort of a couch, washer-dryer, and balcony made for a relaxing stay. Everything is within walking distance and ending the day with a cold beverage on the rooftop is the best way to unwind. Will stay here again.

This was a great place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff this included giving me a lift to the Post Office when it was raining heavily. Good parking we had a 8 metre motorhome and could still park for free. Pool was brilliant. A small gym but never busy. Rooftop bar was great, the free food after 3pm was surprisingly good

Nothing to rave about. The frosted glass sliding doors to the bedroom seemed a bit unnecessary and the huge gap under the door to the bathroom reduced the privacy. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were good.

The kitchen surfaces and coffee table would have benefited from more thorough cleaning.

However, the rooftop bar was excellent. Friendly staff and a good range of drinks plus complimentary snacks.

The location was reasonably convenient and with easy walking distance of the centre of town.

Liked - Good edge of CBD location, friendly and helpful staff, rooms well equipped. Effective air con and ceiling fan. Opportunity to recycle a big plus as was that rooms weren’t over-serviced.
Okay - cafe was good and the grab and go option a good idea but menu was fairly limited. I’m sure the 16th floor lounge and bar had great views but it was closed on Mondays and up until 3:00 pm other days.
But - needed some minor updating and maintenance. 4th floor looked straight out onto pool and presumably pool straight into rooms. Blinds not great and when closed blocked the only source of natural light.

Little bit of road noise from boy racers late at night but that's not the fault of the hotel.
