We did not receive the VIP perks, such as the free beverage, that were part of our reservation offer. Also, we did not have bath towels in our room the first day. We had to request that they be brought to our room. Likewise, there was a problem with the bathtub not draining, so we had to request someone to come fix the problem. Considering we booked one of the property's premium rooms, these sorts of details should have been tended to without our having to bring them up.

Other than the above issues, the quality of the hotel and service by the staff was adequate. The breakfast was great, though the coffee left a lot to be desired. The dining room staff was especially attentive. Perhaps the best part of this property is the location. Very central to dining, shopping, and quite walkable. The area felt safe, as well.

I like that is closer to everything, I was able to walk to restaurants, shooping and attractions. I saw a lot police present and it was good.
I did not like the hotel. It look so different to the pictures.
They gave us a room that has a sauna inside.
I did not requested it , this room was smelly and moldy. I guess saunas smell like this.
I did not complained because I was there less than 48 hours.

Breakfast was good. The young lady at the breakfast room was very nice and kind.

Everything was dated. That old smell when you enter the bedrooms, either that or something that they spray that smells like home pesticide. Food was okay, but i noticed my whole 4 day stay that they serve same little pastry tarts. The spa is little misleading, they actually don't have spa facility, they just meant about the jacuzzi in each bedrooms, nothing more. Overall below average for me and bit disappointing.

The location was excellent. The room was very spacious. I like the breakfast food. It is what the value of money. But if you like better smell. You should pay more and go somewhere else. My first impression was underwhelming, everything was dated. The smell was so old as it looks. On our arrival, we had to request a machine that neutralise the horrible smell. Also there is another smell that they spray and it smells like a pesticide for spiders or cockroaches. It was really disappointing.

My preference is smaller family owned or boutique style hotels versus the big names and the impersonal modern vibes. This spot was perfect! It is older but clean and quaint. The staff was on point. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient. The location is great with huge grocery store up the street, bank and money exchange just a few buildings over, and lots of shopping and restaurants close by for either walking or quick Uber ride.

very old room, stains on all the sheets, couches, electric outlet did not work. The front desk agent did not greet, he was on his cell phone while i was standing there to check in. The house man was nice. We had booked a suite, dint even unpack, went to the bathroom, the tiolet wouldnt flush. Asked them to cahnge the room but they did not have the same room type so downgraded our room and switched but the same issue. they did offer us complimentary dinner for our inconvenience. But the hotel needs major update. The rooms smell bad. Thank god we chceked out after one night. Did not want to spend any time there.

Wonderful location, walk distance of pharmacy, market, bars, clubs, restaurants, brewery’s and spas.

Executive suite is very spacious, but unfortunately the floor wasn’t clean in need of few updates in the bathroom. Safe never worked. We’ve request front desk to repair, unfortunately they didn’t.

The parking is outside the premises, you would need to request front desk to walk with you and open the gate, every time you need your car, in most cases it took few minutes for them to find someone to walk over, to let’s us in or out.

Overall the food wasn’t bad but wasn’t that’s great either. Very basic breakfast.

Stayed here twice and on both occasions we had to wait up to an hour over check in time for our room. On second visit there were no towels and had to wait 2 hours for them. One of my favourite hotel stays! This was such a great find - hotel staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The breakfast was buffet style and had a huge variety of hot foods, breads, desserts, juices, etc. and was always a highlight of our day. The room itself was spacious, clean, and smelled amazing. The area around the hotel is both walkable and quiet and not overly touristy. Exceeded my expectations for sure.

We travel to celebrate new year in Lima and we had a romantic night with celebration in the room, that had a terrace and jacuzzi. All was according to the price that we paid, we got the same double room that we booked. Excellent service and very good breakfast. As a professional hotel manager I only can suggest that the owners should renovate only some things in the rooms, to keep the same elegant traditional colony style, and of course check the cleaning of the carpet, that was the only thing careless that I could see. But the rest was excellent and pleasing in general. We had a good memory of our staying.

A pleasing exterior leads to a faulty interior. The room we got was old and stinky because wait for it, it is a SMOKING property. The bathroom had mold on the walls, and inside the nozzles of the spa tub.

Breakfast buffet was utterly mediocre, coffee tasted like it was day old and had be reused? Cereal was stale.

This place looks nice, but is not. Would not recommend staying here.

NEVER SPENT ONE NIGHT HERE...ROOM NEVER READY

On our recent trip to Peru we made reservations through Expedia months in advance, called and emailed in advance to confirm and was told all was confirmed. We arrived at the hotel and were told our room was not ready, there was some sort of plumbing issue. They sent us across the street to the El Condando Hotel and asked us to return the next day. We did and our room was still not ready with no estimate of when it would be ready...we spent the rest of our stay at the El Condando. We were told it would be less expensive and a discount for our inconvenience. Not only were we overcharged based on our confirmation from Expedia, we were never provided a detailed bill from EITHER hotel and are now disputing it with our credit card because neither EXPEDIA or the Hotel will help us resolve the billing and simply provide us with an itemized receipt. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Our experience was very good for the most part. The location was excellent, the staff was very good. The hotel is located on a street that is busy, but not too busy, pretty good for walking. There is a grocery store adjacent to the property on the corner and there are several restaurants and shops located within five minutes walking time. The only issue that we really had, was that our family had reserved four rooms and they could only accommodate three of the rooms at that time because of A plumbing issue that had occurred. They did take care of the fourth party by placing them in a room, in the hotel across the street.

The breakfast buffet was excellent and well presented each and every day. We did not have dinner at the hotel, because there were too many options locally in the surrounding neighborhood.

I did have one issue regarding the laundry service, I tried to get a couple shirts washed and pressed, they failed to pick them up and I had to go to an outside source, which was inconvenient.

My Booked Room Was Unavailable

I booked this hotel through Expedia several weeks before traveling. I had a long flight. My kids were tired and looking forward to check in the hotel. To our surprise we were told that our room was still occupied and they had us wait a very long time in the lobby. The manager arranged for us to go to a hotel across the street. We still had to wait for the other hotel to bring one more bed. We were three people, me, my daughter and my son. It was not that comfortable to have only two beds. very disappointing.

Hotel close to airport shuttle bus stop

Hotel said check in was at 3 pm but confirmation from Expedia said from 1 pm. The hotel was able to let us check in at around 2 pm and they gave us a very nice room on the ground floor opening onto a small courtyard. The room has a safe and a well stocked fridge but we were able to buy bottled water and fresh fruits from the supermarket two doors away. I thought the best was the breakfast, it was wonderful and can beat a five star hotel any time. We even had a choice of so many types of tea from a magnificent presentation box. I would definitely go back to the Antara if I go to Lima again.

What a mistake. I was put in a \"broom Closet\" the first night. Rm 204. It wasn't a hotel room but I believe a changing room for the Sauna/Steam room with a bed. I complained but they couldn't do anything about it until the next day. Didn't sleep !!! No air conditioning . Moved the next day to the room we had agreed to. After complaining I was given a small rebate.Breakfast average. Service below standard.If it weren't for the manager they could just as well close the doors.

Antara - beware of the room sizes!

I rebooked a double room at Antara hotel having had a great experience the previous time. At check in I was told the room would be smaller than the last time, which was fine since the room was huge before. But seeing the room was a real disappointment! It was tiny, just a bed with hardly room, a huge difference from the previous one, not even worthy of a 1* hotel. I told the manager I could not stay there and wanted to cancel. I was looking for an alternate room on my laptop when the proposed to put me up in the Fiesta Casino hotel, worth about $30 more, for the same rate. Great deal! But be careful when booking rooms, they are the same and definitely not like in the pictures. I think the first time I got an executive room for the price of a double, huge room with a sauna, a real bar and huge bed!

The hotel has a lot of charm, lots of effort was made on the decoration to use local art. Restaurant is right by the entrance with an outdoor terrace where the breakfast buffet is served. Also has tables indoor. Friendly staff. I got an amazing room #205 at the double room rate, huge King Size bed, big flat screen TV, small Sauna! and a bar, an actual bar with glasses hanging from the top. Also had a large table. And a window across the whole room giving on the street, not noisy. The location is great, walking distance from the Larcomar mall right on the beach, lots of shops, 2 casinos within 100 meters, nice park on Larco avenue, coffee shops, restaurants and Banks with ATMS. Very location in Miraflores.

My wife and I stayed there for a night in Lima. We had stayed there previously so were expecting a similar stay. Unfortunately, it was not the same. The room itself needed some work - hot water was inconsistent, the phone did not work, breakfast was sub-par and the hotel decided to clean the shared terrace the morning we were scheduled to check out. We weren't offered to switch rooms, and were too tired to push for them to do so. Staff was friendly however, and the location was good.

Antara was very cute. The greenery combined with the older style of the building was perfect. The staff was very nice and Alexis let us eat free breakfast despite the fact that we arrived three hours before check in. It is an older style building and the smell is not for everyone. We did notice renovations we under way in the rooms next to us but they were very quite and polite. They street noise is awful. In Lima it is common to hear car horns anywhere you go but it was particularly disrupting here at all hours or the day and night. Mainly because the AC was useless and we had to have the window open. I would recommend this place for a temporary stay as ours had been but nothing longer.

This hotel is small, but the rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. We were on the top floor, overlooking the street. The staff are very helpful. The driver that picked us up from the airport was still smiling and relaxed after waiting two hours for us . The airline had lost our luggage and we had to wait to fill in forms etc. finally got through at 2am.
The hotel is well situated, close to the shopping area and many restaurants . They arranged for a city tour for us that was excellent. I would stay here again.

The room is very big, the bed was very comfortable, the decoration is really beautiful, it has a samll fireplace, a seating area and a dining area, the bathroom is big with a delicious shower head. It is very cozy and I was very surprised to find this hotel. I will definitely will stay there everytime I come to Lima. I wanted to stay three additional nights but the room wasn't available through Hotels.com so I decided to get another hotel. Hopefully next time it will be available again through Hotels.com

Tired Hotel needs remodeling

Excellent helpful staff who tried real hard to over come this tired hotel. This hotel needs upgrading, some windows didn't close and the bathroom jacuzzi was old and not very clean.
On the plus side the breakfast was very good. Overall this hotel was not worth it's dollar.

Hotel antiguo, con mal olor, con demasiado ruido, sin aire acondicionado, ni siquiera una botella de agua de cortesía y lo peor la mala actitud de casi todos los empleados, con excepción del señor que hace la limpieza. NO deben olvidar que pague mi estadía, no fue gratuita.

Instalações em geral muito antigas. O quarto não possuía ar condicionado, solicitamos a troca de quarto por conta do ar e foi informado que levariam um ar condicionado portátil, porém na verdade era apenas um ventilador, não refrescava em nada. Equipe muito cordial e prestativa.

Hotel horroroso,entregaram o quarto depois das 15h,sem toalhas de banho,tivemos que esperar mais uma hora pelas toalhas,cafeda manha faltava ate agua,ovos mexidos frios,faltava boa vontade dos funcionarios
