The decor is outdated and leaves a lot to be desired, but I wasn't too bothered by that. Things were very clean.

It was a bed and shower for an overnight stay. You kind of get what you pay for. The receptionist didn’t quite know what to do after I had already pre booked and paid, a bit longer of a check in. I book with someone who stayed in another room, and there were definitely clear differences within the rooms- hopefully you get a second floor room. The first floor is… well I’d just recommend paying the extra 30$ or so and go to a Holiday Inn or somewhere else.

This Super 8 needs some serious maintenance and upgrades.
Also, does not have an elevator air staircase to the 2nd floor near the lobby. guests have to go to the ends of the hallway and use stairs that double as fire escapes.
Also, no provisions for handicapped guests.

The room had a slightly unusual odor to it when I checked in. Had to open the windows to air out a little. It’s not your fault, but the people above my room last night must’ve been doing a jump rope. The continental breakfast was a little disappointing.

First day, a baby roach crawled out from under the phone so I smacked him dead with the receiver. The place seemed clean but that roach came from a herd somewhere though the place looked clean enough. But the next day, I pulled a kleenex from the box to blow my nose in the AM and a big bug was perched on the next kleenex out of the box like Mt Everest. At first I thought it was a fat fly that had happened to land there but on closer inspection, that fat butt was an EGG CASE on a Mama Roach. I smacked at her with my spent kleenex but she ran back down into her kleenex house and by now, I am sure she has a house full. Breakfast selection was pitiful also, no cereal, milk, toast or anything hot unless you microwaved it or put some questionable waffle in a toaster to eat with cold syrup. Parking was good and the place seemed safe enough.

I was extremely impressed and grateful for the outstanding follow-up assistance that I experienced from \"Sam\", the manager. I inadvertently left my laptop in the room at departure. He tried calling me repeatedly the day of my departure to alert me to my error but I was in an unreachable area most of the day. When I reached him by phone the next day, he was awesome, taking the time to ship it back to my home address and trust me from afar for the shipping costs. Great service and an inspiring fellow man.

We requested a handicap room on main floor. We had to go upstairs with no elevator. TV was broken and had to be replaced. Couple outlets were malfunctioning. No cups in room. Couldn’t bring food or drinks to room from dining area.

The rooms aren’t clean, the first room I was in had bugs crawling all over the walls and bugs in the drawers. They moved me room and the new room have mild and mildew in the bathroom and on the switch plates, carpet had tape holding it together and the cleaning cart had beer on it. Place wasn’t good and I spent my time way until bed and even then I had a hard time sleeping. Had to treat my vehicle and items for bed bugs

Just what we needed.

It’s an older hotel so don’t expect it not to show its age (chipped plaster). It was budget friendly, and the manager was courteous and kind. The shower had the wide rounded curtain, great pressure and temperature adjustment. The room was charming and comfortable.

Clerk would not upgrade room. I paid for a dble and got it, but when I got there realized they had hot tubs. I want to upgrade to the hot tub room. He said I got what I had paid for. And he could not charge me more and give me hot tub room .

This was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. On the floor above me they must have had a marching band, wrestling team, and percussionists because there was stomping slapping against the walls and all kinds of heavy sounds. In the morning a young lady dressed only in a shower curtain looked to be the attendant prepping the breakfast bar. There were door slamming all night loud noises until 3:00 in the morning that began again at 4:30. Slamming screaming all kinds of problems. When another guest and I tried to talk with the manager he gave no indication that there would be any type of refund for our inconvenience and basically stated that the young lady was a crackhead and that hadn't happened here before. I'll never go back. I'll never recommend anyone else to stay there either. This should be refunded and what a disaster until they can go ahead and figure something out on procedures of unrully clientele.

The hotel is easy to get to. The check in clerk was cordial. The WiFi was fast enough. We had a 2nd floor room at the end of the hall. It was quiet most of the time. I believe there may be people living here full time. We saw people who seemed to be residents. The breakfast consists of Hostess Honey Buns and Coffee. The coffee was hot and strong enough.

Bottom line, this hotel is good for a night when you just need a bed and a shower.

First the front desk employee, shirt and bald was condescending and rude, did not make the check in process easy at all. Second the room was terrible, mold in the air conditioning vent, stains and burn holes in the bedding, mold in bathroom and mattress worn out and uncomfortable. Wouldn’t let my worst enemy stay here. We did not get what we paid for...

This is not a case of you get what you pay for, this is a case of a hotel charging way more than they should because of an event taking place in town. We were there as artists participating in the Chautauqua Festival of Art. This is a very popular event in the town of Madison. Apparently all the hotels raise their prices for this weekend because of the popularity of this event. That means this is the most I have ever paid to stay in a Super 8. There was only one room available, a jacuzzi sweet. The tub worked, but there was hair in it! The room had a large recliner right in the middle (see photo). We had to request plastic cups and a bag for the ice bucket. The room smelled of mildew right near the bed, and breakfast is only prepackaged honey buns. There are no other options. This was one of the cheapest options in town, but I would never normally pay this much for a \"no frills\" hotel.

My mother and i were intending to stay just one night. We checked in and the front desk staff was nice. Then in our way to our room there was loud music and doors open and it smelled like weed. Once we got to our room it didn’t look like it was vacuumed ir the toilet cleaned. We could hear what the person staying next door was doing, which sounded suspicious. Then people talking outside sounded like they were in our room. We decided we didn’t feel comfortable AT ALL staying the night so we left after being there around 15 minutes.

My son attends Hanover College and we have stayed at the Super 8 previously when we were visiting him. We have hiked at Clifty Falls and brought our dogs (small) with us since the hotel is pet friendly. The staff are very nice and helpful.

Beds were horrible very lumpy. One of tge staff members jyst used there key card and walked into our roim... Have no idea why daid sorry and backed out really quickly. Makes u wonder if thry was thinking u was gone for a bit so they could go threw your thing i dont knoe if tgats what they was doing but it was not rite. Would never stay there again.

The lady that checked us in was really nice. The hotel was not in terrible condition but it was not great either. It smelled like an old hotel and the room was mediocre, at best. One of the springs in one of the beds was broken so it squeak to the entire night. The toilet will not flush correctly so we were given a plunger and we had to take care of it ourselves.
