Overall the hotel is quite run down. We have stayed here many times and this time our room was not very clean. The shower had black mold in the tile and drain grout. Toilet seat lid hadn't been wiped down. TV screen was wiped but you could see the streaks from the rag. Bathroom vent was full of dust and grit, same with behind the toliet. One elevator door wouldn't open all the way and you had to push it open to get out- didn't want to use this in case of getting stuck. Likley won't stay here anytime soon, which is unfortunate because the location is great and so is the Northland Pub.

The Landmark is a gem. We stayed in a Lakeview room that had been stayed in by Amelia Earhart in 1932. The property is beautiful and was decorated for the holidays. We had dinner at the pub, and it was delicious. The Crow's Nest on the 6th floor is a must; they have an excellent selection and make a mean martini. My only complaint is that the doors to the rooms are loud when closing, and when I say loud, I mean wake you from the dead loud. Otherwise, a lovely stay.

For such a beautiful, historic hotel, when we checked in, we thought there was some type of costume theme going on. Honestly, first impressions are lasting. I would think the hotel would want to present a professional image. That was not the case. We were embarrassed as we had guests from out of the country, their first time there, we had told them what a beautiful, historic hotel, then the person checking us in was not professional in appearance in any way. It was horrible. We will not stay again, so sad. If that is the best image they can present to represent their beautiful hotel, we will stay elsewhere.

It was recommended by other reviewers to stay in a corner room. Ours overlooked park lake, fire stairs on one side, the parking lot and neighborhood the other window. It was quiet. The tv was huge and blocked half the window on the lake side lol. The room was clean and had nice old touches to the room with bold wallpaper. Bed was good, firm and comfortable. We weren’t there much when the restaurant was open. We walked the two blocks to downtown. Very convenient. Parking at the hotel was easy (it’s November) with only maybe 15 cars in a nice large surface lot that can take high profile vehicles. We stayed in 501. We plan to stay here again in the off season but try a diff room for a diff view. Not sure the extra cost for a tv lake view was worth it lol

We paid extra to get the view, but I would have preferred to have the cobwebs cleared and the room dusted, the water glass rings wiped off of the bedside tables and the toothpaste cleaned from the bathroom vanity and the wall and mirror. Also, the floor had clothing tags from a previous occupant not to mention it felt gritty like it hadn't been swept.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The hotel provided the smallest bar of soap and shampoo/conditioner bottles. For the $250+ price, I think this should be improved upon. The mattress was firm, so if you like a softer mattress, you may need to consider this. We enjoyed having cocktails in the 5th floor bar. It has a nice view of the lake.

sad to see the loss of an era with the renovation resulting in being very ordinary if not substandard. Also closed dining room, no regular housekeeping, no food or snacks in Crowsnest anymore. The hotel was lovely. I liked the historic vibe of the architecture and the lobby . The check-in process was a little rocky. While I was checking in a group of airline staff came in behind me and the person at the front desk immediately began helping them instead of finishing my check-in. Then while they were handing me my keys, they told me that they had to let me know about a bad smell that had been reported from other guests staying on the second floor and they had to notify me because they had also put me on the second floor. So I asked if there were any other rooms available. Ultimately, they gave me new keys to a room on the fourth floor. The room and the floor and the stay were all just fine. I only stayed one night and did not have a chance to take advantage of the restaurant or the bar.

Check-in was slow and unwelcoming. Room didn’t feel as though it had been cleaned properly with hairs in the shower. Had to practically beg for the use of an umbrella despite there being heavy rainfall outside. The barman on the top floor bar was laughably hostile and seemingly hated his job. Place feels like it needs a good clean up and change of management. Not acceptable at the prices they charge.

I literally had to leave because I asked for fresh towels after 3 nights and was told \"well you can come see the manager in the morning and she can explain our policy\"... I literally went upstairs and checked-out immediately. Unrelated, the room was humid as hell, the wedding the first night was shaking the walls, and the A/C unit was disturbingly loud.

We were given a room under the workout area. Was awakened by the thud thud of the treadmill at 6 a.m. This after being unable to move to another room because we had been located next to a family with 3 bouncy energetic children. Oh! and the best part is that at 9:30 a.m. we were unable to use the complimentary $20 food and beverage upgrade because there was no thing open in the hotel.

The building is beautiful. The location is great. Our room had a wonderful view of the lake. We were in a corner room and the amenities were OK. However, the bed was like sleeping on a board so if you like a very firm mattress, this is the place for you! The room could use a little maintenance holes in the wallpaper. There was very high winds and the windows rattled otherwise it was clean. Staff was pleasant. They stopped serving food at nine. We got into the bar at 9:01 and unfortunately, we are unable to eat anything because of that.

This is my absolute favorite place to stay in Marquette. It is a charming hotel. Every room is different with a beautiful view and the bathrooms are awesome. There are lovely places to sit and relax in the lobby. I love the lounges. I can bring my dog and we can walk everywhere
