Had a great time when we stayed for 6 nights at the Hyatt in Naha. Staff friendly and helpful, room serviced daily with clean towels and bottles of water. Beds changed on 3rd day. Room a good size and had a view from the 9th floor, we were there when a typhoon came thru and staff helpful and informative. Loved the pool too. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a lovely stay in Okinawa.

Location is 10/10. You head out the back entrance and you are in the heart of the shopping dinning district.
Only suggestion would be to add some oak meal or coconut yougurt for us vegans.

The hotel was central and easy to find with our car rental. Japanese hospitality has been top notch at every hotel and this was no exception. We were met at our car, escorted to check in and up to our room. We were later than expected and looking for a quick snack ending up at the 18th floor lounge. We were surprise by the 550Y “cover charge” to go in. Other than that we were very happy with this beautiful, central hotel!

This was our second time staying (my husband did a review last time) at this amazing hotel. First was two years ago in “24” and now in “26”. I highly recommend them for everything literally everything…… friendliness, cleanliness, hospitality, amenities….. EVERYTHING!! We needed a converter for our son’s laptop and they brought one up. Oh and if you’re going straight to the airport at check out and you want to check your checked baggage weight just ask…. They have a weigh scale to use to.
In closing I personally want to thank them for all they offer and having people who work for them and are the epitome of hospitality.

Hyatt Regency Naha, Okinawa was a great stay. The room was cozy and the bed very comfortable. The location is excellent, close to Naha Kokusai Dori Shopping Street and Makishi Public Market, with plenty of great dining options and shopping for gifts, including Don Quijote. Parking was convenient, just across the street (Japanese elevator parking system). The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Great hotel in Naha. Location is amazing; meters from anything you need but also quiet. Staff is efficient and friendly. Rooms are ample, comfortable and very well equipped. Amenities and buffet breakfast are fantastic. In room dining options are limited but you’ll find a variety of eateries just outside the hotel doorstep.

This was such a great place to stay at. It exceeded our expectations. We had access to the Regency Club and it was such a treat. Daily breakfast and happy hour with less crowds. The view is amazing. Staff was so helpful and attentive. I’m not sure what they’re rated as. It felt like a 5 star hotel.

Amazing, luxurious hotel

Amazing stay at the Hyatt Regency. Excellent service from the staff - shoutout to Watabe on the reception desk who even helped us book our ferry to Zamami island. Enjoyed lunch, breakfast and a massage here for a reasonable price. Location was perfect, being less than a two minute walk from Kokusai Dori street and a ten minute drive from Naha airport. Lovely, spacious and clean rooms and bathroom. Would definitely stay again!!

Front desk Staff is very helpful and professional
But beds are very small given we booked for two adults and two kids (only two small beds for our room). Also, we noticed some brownish stain on one of our bed duvet cover. In addition, we got charged for making international “collect call” in our room (we asked the front desk at check in and he confirmed making such call bear no charges )

We were put on a floor where the ac in the hall did not work (level 4), staff was decently nice except on our departure, we asked for a taxi to go to the airport, they said they could only call their “private cab” drivers and charged us 6000 yen for a 5km drive to the airport. Plenty of cabs came by the front dropping passages off but they told us we couldn’t take them cause we have too much luggage. Improvement on dinning options, gym hours ( starting earlier and ending later or have blocks of times to accommodate the needs of tourists) and ambience at the reception hall (lemon water, coffee/tea provided would make a welcoming and caring experience for the guests). Lastly concierge service on providing guests with tours and public transportation information would be helpful

We chose this property as we wanted to be in the center of the action and it did not disappoint. A 3 minute walk around the corner and you enter Heiwadori, one of the many shopping streets off of the main Kokusaidori. Lots of shopping for Okinawan specific goods and foods. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a huge walk-in shower/tub combo. We would stay here again.

People didn’t wear masks while taking food during breakfast, hotel didn’t have such rules. Sick children where coughing into food, liquid from running nose got into plates with food (saw it by myself, then other guests took it). Very disappointed with such policy and with hotel. Didn’t worth such money.

It was a good stay but not really suitable for our needs.

In short, I would not stay there again.

Pros:
• Staff service, they were excellent and went above and beyond to help us be comfortable.
• Location is excellent, so convenient to the old shopping streets, tons of bars, restaurants and really close to the market.
• It’s quite a nice property.
• Breakfast is pretty good.

Cons:
• It’s not a good place to stay with younger children, the limited facilities are basically geared towards adults.
• In room entertainment, there is none other than some standard tv channels.
• It’s poor value for money at the usual rate. Thanks to Expedia I got a really good room rate but I’d otherwise feel hard done by.
• I feel bad saying this but I really was surprised at the the poor manners and selfishness of a high proportion of guests from a certain country with a red flag close to Japan.

I just don’t feel that Hyatt has moved with the times. I have used their properties in Tokyo before and been left less than satisfied, I will not choose Hyatt to stay in again.
