Smart and comfortable hotel near the lake

Room was large with a balcony. Very comfortable. Disappointingly no in room coffee making facilities and note room service does not appear to be 24 hours. Restaurant is also closed on a Sunday. Very good spa with indoor and outdoor pools though outdoor pool about to close temporarily for maintenance. Restaurant has friendly staff and good menu but our experience wasnt great as had to wait over an hour for our food and they got the order wrong. Lovely park and lake within walking distance as was West Station although not all street lights were working making some of the area very dark. We arrived at the start of October so end of season really and not a lot open in the area though we went to mini mundus which is very worth a visit and the food stall in their car park serves great currywurst.

Very Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Excellent breakfast and fitness center. Near the lake for nice walks in the evening. Only thing is if you need to be near the center of town, it is not ideal. It would be a very long walk or a short taxi ride. I use Corinthia-Transfers.com. They will take you anywhere you want to go in town for only $15 Euros. Otherwise, when I go to Klagenfurt, I always try to stay at the SeePark Hotel. Very nice.

Nice hotel - service is poor - my final stay

This was my 2nd stay at the hotel. The positive things are that the property is beautiful, the room was comfortable, you can walk to the lake, and you can walk to multiple bus stops that take you downtown in minutes.

The bad deal breakers:

1 - staff doesn't tell guests about deals they have with partners at the lake/beach
2 - breakfast is good, but expensive
3 - restaurant staff are difficult to find & not around when you need them
4 - you have to fight to get parking. If you get a spot, don't give it up, take the bus
5 - On day 2 we left a sign on the door asking for the room to be made. We left at 10am and returned at 15:30 to find the room had not been made, so we had to call down for new towels
6 - on day 3 we put up the do not disturb sign so we could take an afternoon nap. Hotel staff woke us up calling on the phone to ask if we wanted the room made, which ignored the Do Not Disturb sign we deliberately hung on the door.

I stay at a lot of hotels across Europe and in Austria for work and pleasure. This hotel drops the balls on service and that is something that you just can't forget. It will be my last stay at this hotel. My next time in Klagenfurt an Woertersee, I'll stay somewhere else.

I was not notified prior to check in or at check in that a major event was scheduled at the hotel during my stay. The hotel told me about it the day of the event, but told me they could not change my room because they were full. My room was directly above the event, which was very loud with noise and my room shook until 3 am. I was unable to sleep that night due to the noise and being upset that I could not move rooms. Upon checkout, I let the hotel know about my bad experience. The hotel manager reached out to me, which I appreciated, but his comments to me showed that, unfortunately, the hotel was unwilling to take responsibility for the bad experience as well as to make a gesture of goodwill to make up for it. The comment I got from the hotel manager was the following:

We are very sorry that you were disturbed by the event at GIG Bar last Saturday. We have also forwarded your message to the operators of the bar. Of course we can understand that you didn't feel comfortable in the end.

Stayed here for the World Body Painting festival. It was a nice hotel close to the lake, but you need to take the bus into the center of town. That's not a problem if you know what you are doing and what the schedules and route options are. Unfortunately the front desk wasn't great in providing all of those details, so I had to get them myself via an iPhone app. WiFi was very bad for a hotel of this stature. If you are traveling on business, the poor WiFi is the serious downfall of this hotel.

Good hotel, I have been there for one night only as I was on my way to Venice. Nice location in middle of town near university. It was summer. Beat hotel in town no comments on that. The toilet need improvement as it's an open to the room. View was nice lobby wide view on the garden and lovely resturants. Indoor swimming pool with spa and fitness center. Friendly staff with good attitudes. It was really busy on my time as it's summer and worthsee busy with travelers from all around europe and other cities. It was my first visit to the town and definitely i will be back again. Parking free and available in front of the hotel main entrance. But you need to help yourself with your bags as its a starbucks servixe style. why expedia review need all of that writing? I think I have wrote enough words in writing about my experience at the hotel.

Wonderful hotel with a great location

We love this hotel. we have stayed several times now and are always pleased with the service. The rooms are not always the same; sometimes we get a smaller room that is not facing the lake, and sometimes a larger room with an exceptional view. Regardless, the rooms are always clean and the staff is excellent. This hotel has restaurant facilities, and the Sunday brunch is so popular it is usually sold out a month or so in advance; so be sure to make that reservation when you are making your room reservation if you want to enjoy this particular amenity!

Hotel rooms in Europe can be quirky. What a pleasant surprise. For a very reasonable rate ($104 USD) the hotel was much more than we expected. The room was very spacious, modern, and very well appointed. Mini fridge was stocked. Safe worked well, free wi fi worked and also flat screen tv. Loved the shower—a real shower area, not one of the typ ical European hotel tubs with the glass swinging panel that is impossible to get out of or the tiny corner shower where you can’t reach down to your feet. Bed was really twso twins pushed together which is really a king—we booked a queen. Bed linens were high quality . No coffee maker, however.Check in was was speedy, room was ready. Went to dinner in the hotel restaurant. Very pleasant servers and a wonderful wienerschnitzel dinner. My husband had the trout. We were given a complimentary appetizer. Hotel elevators were fast and spacious. Free parking. We did not do the breakfast as we were in a hurry to get on the road to Milan. So, all in all, this is a place I would recommend with no cons at all. For the American traveler, you will not be disappointed. Location is not in the city center, but since we were driving through it was no problem, near the highway, but not close enough to hear it GPS found it easily. Our room faced the road (with a little view of the snowcapped Alps) , but was very quiet and no road noise at all.

OK but not a Destination

This is yet another \"Lego\" hotel in Austria, located near nothing of interest to a cultural tourist. We chose it because it is just off the autobahn route we were taking back to Vienna about halfway along the way. The bar offers an American range of cocktails but is very noisy and, like all the bars in Austria, allows smoking. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. The reception staff is quite helpful, which seems to be the rule in Austria for all the folks.

Not quite where I thought it was

The name of the hotel and the photograph suggested this hotel was on the edge of the lake near Klagenfurt. In fact this is not the case - it is on the banks of a small river that leads down to that lake. Consequently the hotel does not have the views I expected it to have. Apart from this the hotel is pleasant enough and the rooms are unusual but stylish. There is free WiFi which is very fast, and the breakfast is very good with a good selection of hot and cold dishes.

A pleasant stay

Visiting for a conference at the university close by, I found the Seepark Hotel to be a very convenient place to stay. My room was very spacious and well decorated. I had to ask for a kettle for the room but it was provided promptly. I appreciated that the staff turned on the air conditioning when the weather was very hot.

from my 3 nights, 2 days the room was not cleaned, i had to call every night for fresh towels and as i left every day early and came back late i was too tired for them to clean it at the time, when i mentioned this to the lady at check out the response was: O, i will tell housekeeping. not i am sorry, not how and was can we do, no nothing

upon check in I upgraded my room, the standard rooms are very conference hotel style like, the superior are better. Please note that smoking is allowed here inside, when coming back in the evening, the lobby was blue of cigarette smoke coming from the bar, as a none smoker this is quite disgusting.

on a positive note, the staff at breakfast is lovely and attentive as well as the staff in the spa. the spa and gym facilities are good

Very Nice Hotel. Design is noteworthy (and I say that being an Architect). Incorporation into surrounding Park is quite lovely. Proximity to University and amenities in the neighbouring community are also very welcome. Room was impeccable and everything at the Hotel that I made us of (incl. the Spa) was great. Didn't have a chance to eat at the restaurant though, but I will next time - which is to say, I'd definitely revisit...

Nice Hotel with One Big Problem

Booked the Seepark for one night to vista the Gustav Mahler Composing Hut above Worthersee. This hotel is nice enough; very modern with lots of artsy touches. But my room had one big problem. Most of the bathroom is elevated by one step up inside the room. For those of us at an age where nocturnal wandering is the norm, I was lucky not to injure myself tripping over this abnormal room obstacle.

The room was a good size and comfortable, with excellent facilities. For the price the basic room was outstanding. The hotel is next to a park and campsite that goes down to the lake but you don't really get good access to the lakeside. The restaurant served a good dinner and the breakfast was amazing. Food was not that cheap, though, and the hotel was too far out of town for alternatives to be easily reachable. Still, this was an excellent hotel for an afternoon and a night en route.

The Seepark is as good as any hotel we've stayed in. Beautiful position near Lake Woerthersee, room and public areas clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, attractive pool and sauna area (popular with families), food really good. Would recommend this hotel without any reservation, though do note that it's 5 km outside Klagenfurt (5 buses an hour into town centre) and there are few other restaurants nearby. Evening menu was a bit restricted and not cheap, though very good quality and service. Breakfast was great value. Lots to do locally, and in a stunningly beautiful area - poor weather can restrict some of the many outdoor options, but the sun appeared for us! Wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

The spa area with sauna,steam room etc were included in the price and the provision of dressing gown and slippers was a real bonus. The hotel is in a great location for the lake and the standard of cleanliness and the facilities are all very high - what you would expect from a convention hotel. The service in this hotel was dreadfully poor - from check in to check out there was no attempt to engage with us at all through our 5 night stay. The menu choices at lunch and dinner are extremely limited, the waiting staff in the Laguna restaurant were inefficient and unhelpful and the whole time we were there the lobby bar was only open once! The adjoining Gig bar is a nice place to go for a busier night out but a quiet nightcap is impossible at this hotel. The reception team were particularly unhelpful e.g. unable to recommend (or call!!) any local restaurants. We would stay again for the convenience factor but would do our own research on other places to eat.

Perfect except perhaps during hot weather

A very nice hotel, in a great setting. I love the modern room design--very funky. One small issue: the air conditioning was not able to cool the room during the hot weather we were having. The alternative, to open the window, was not suitable because there was too much noise coming from the hotel bar. But in the end, they kindly moved me to another room, away from the loud music.

Preis Leistung ist nicht gegeben, ich war schon günstiger, königlich untergebracht.
Das Personal ist sehr steril, um nicht unfreundlich zu sagen, das nötigste wird gesagt das wars dann.
Checkin erst um 16 Uhr! wo gibt's denn sowas noch?
Der Name suggeriert ein Hotel am See, dass ist wohl die größte Täuschung.
Das Zimmer war groß, eigentlich stylisch aber Plastikvorhänge verbreiten Krankenhaus Charme und das Bett/Matratze war keine 4 Sterne wert.
185€ für ein Einzelzimmer ist schon deftig, Frühstück nochmal 25€ extra, dafür war es sehr umfangreich, vielseitig und hochwertig.
Der Wellnessbereich schaut auf den ersten Blick gut aus, Liegen beim Pool sind gemütlich, im Saunabereich sehr eng gestellt und nicht so angenehm.
Der Pool ist zu kalt, dass haben auch alle Kollegen so empfunden, ein Problem ist der Einstieg, er ist nur über eine Leiter möglich.
Nicht Behindertengerecht, mit körperlichen Einschränkungen konnten ihn einige nicht nutzen. Das (kleine) Sportbecken ist noch schwerer erreichbar, zudem am anderen Ende und eine Etage höher als der Wellnessbereich und wurde für ein Training genutzt.
Ich war nur in der finnischen Sauna, der Boden war sehr heiß, eine Matte wäre angebracht.
Bei Dienstreisen nutze ich oft Hotels um sie auf Privat Urlaubstauglichkeit zu testen, dieses Hotel werde ich nicht mehr buchen.
Keine Nachfrage ob der Aufenthalt gefallen hat, keine gute Reise Wünsche, nichtmal ein Gruß beim vorbeigehen nach dem Frühstück.

Der Aufenthalt im Seepark Hotel war spitze! Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer mit Zustellbett gebucht und hatten auch unseren Hund dabei. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist spitze, die Zimmer ruhig, die Mitarbeiter überall sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist mitunter aufgrund seiner Lage (im Univiertel, nahe der Autobahn, direkt neben dem Europapark und v.a. Anbindung zum Lendkanal) grandios. Mit unseren SUPs sind wir direkt vom Hotel über den angebundenen Lendkanal los und konnten nach ein paar Minuten den wunderschönen Wörthersee erreichen. Einziges Manko: Teppichböden in allen Zimmern - v.a. mit Hund nicht so ideal. Dennoch: sehr gerne wieder.

Nous avons sélectionné cet hôtel car il est indiqué dans les détails qu’il y’a un Room service 24h24. Il n’y avait pas de room service à notre arrivée.

Nous avions également choisit une chambre supérieure et nous avons eu une chambre classique pour le même prix…

Pas très sérieux.

Für das Frühstück nochmal 23 € zu nehmen ist mehr als unverschämt. Wir bei der Anreise noch in drei Hotels gleicher Kategorie, Frühstück war immer inklusive !
