Do not stay at this hotel, a nonsmoking hotel, unless you are good with a whole floor and room that smells like cigarette smoke. Carpet is nasty and old. We weren’t even interested in touching the beds to find out. My nephew was with me and at 18, even he didn’t want to stay there.

I will be submitting a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at the Quality Inn in Winder, GA.

Upon check-in, the room had not been properly cleaned or inspected. There was visible debris left throughout the room, including plastic items, a sponge, a receipt, and a dirty washcloth on the curtain rod. Additional trash was found under the HVAC unit.
More concerning, the floor had a sticky (honey textured) residue pile in front of the nightstand that I stepped in barefoot, indicating the room was not properly sanitized.

I have photo documentation supporting these issues.

This falls below basic cleanliness and brand standards expected from a Choice Hotels property. I am requesting a full refund for this stay or a comp night at another Quality Inn facility.

Honestly, worst experience we've ever had with a hotel and we've stayed in hostels in other countries- my standards aren't high but this was on another level. It should have been advertised as \"pay by the hour\". Our sheets were dirty, the bar in the shower was falling off and rusty, smoke detector hanging by cords, \"punch\" holes in the wall and bathroom door, trash left in the fridge. It was terrible. We even requested a different room.... Just as bad! Do not stay here.

We had a roach bug run across the bathroom floor as soon as we entered the room. The blankets had cigarette holes in them. The chair was ripped and the inside was crumbling out all into the floor. It smelled like mildew and cigarettes (non smoking room). The bathtub has multiple holes in the paneling. The overall room was nasty. There was a hole in the bathroom door. Very unsafe location as well.

The night shift desk clerk didn’t know what a double bed was and insisted that when I said a room with 2 double beds meant it was 2 rooms with 4 beds. I even explained bed sizes to him and he just said I confused him.

First of all - the hotel does not have an elevator

The first room was extremely dirty and had a cold cigarette smoke smell - after complaining to the receptionist they offered another room which I accepted

The second room didn’t have the old cigarette smell but the carpet was filthy with lots of stains, refrigerator was dirty plus there was overall dirt and slime on nearly all surfaces - it seems the room has never been deep cleaned

The entire hotel has a carpet which hasn’t been updated in years - and it shows

I will never stay in this hotel again!!!!!

The best part about the stay was the air conditioner kept the room comfortable. The bathroom, the bed covers, towels, and coffee all need to be upgraded. And just a heads up there isn’t an elevator.

We had about 5 rooms between our ball team. All of our rooms smelled like they had weed smoked in them..our sheets had burn holes in them and had brown stains on them. It definitely needs to be remodeled. The staff was very nice though.

I did notice the bathroom fan was not working and the room was a little musty like it needed a thorough airing. It was very clean and comfortable. My companion would have liked a bigger variety of fruit in the breakfast buffet.

My stay at this hotel was awful. The tv was literal busted showing cracked color lines on the screen, pizza napkins with food on it was left on the knight stand upon entering the room, the stop devise for the sink to hold was in the bathroom was broken, the coffee maker did not work and when we called to the front desk for a new one. The customer desk rep stated that he could not buy a new one nor replace the broken one, we saw two spiders in the room, one came out of the AC vent and the other one from the side of the microwave. The bathroom always smelled like cigarette smoke.

Not a very clean property. Bed linens had stains, no elevators, very noisy (people coming and going all through the night) very thin walls. No air in the check in area, very hot. Had a weird smell inside. Also the smell of cigarettes throughout the property. The side door of the property was used as a smoking area and wasn’t very clean or maintained. Cigarette butts all over property along with trash and debris. Not worth saving a few bucks to stay here.

Had to go up flight of stairs to 2nd floor because facility didn't have elevator. beds in room were double sized. no other choice but king but didn't need king. Questioned size of bed before arriving and was told beds were either queen or king. beds were DOUBLE size. Closed continental breakfast before 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Nasty, India Incense and Needs Repairs

The first impression was the India smell of incense throughout the hotel and my room was filled with it. I’m bald but a long black hair was in my shower. That shower had no bath mat and I almost slipped and fell 3 times. The bath mirrors had paint running down the chrome, carpet was old and mildew smelling, bottom of bath door was cracked, carpet around door was ripped, A/C unit had a piece of plastic hanging on it, No napkins, paper towels or tissues in the breakfast area and the back yard next to the parking lot looked like someone didn’t pick up the trash before they just mowed it all. Trash was everywhere! The disgusting smell of the incense would’ve been enough for me to look elsewhere but I didn’t have time. Will not stay there again.

Yikes- this place needs help. We may have lung cancer from just staying 1 night. The chair in the room actually had the stuffing coming out from the cushion and torn slipcover. Everything was old and broken.The fact that card key folder had been used to assign various rooms in the past was the first clue and the downhill from there.

There was nothing I liked. This Inn gives a bad name to Quality Inn.
The safety latch was off the door.
The bathroom door was warped,no hook on the door. Bug trap in bathroom with bugs in it. The carpet was dirty.
The hot breakfast was only sawage. There was no pictures on wall. The front staff at check was very nasty to deal with. I will never stay at that hotel anymore!!!

The hotel was so hot from the second you walk in the door. The room was also hot and we had to call the front desk to find out how to turn the AC on, it was so complicated. The room was not clean, there was toothpaste splatter on the bottom of the bathroom mirror and a used travel size tube of toothpaste on the sink. The lock on the bathroom door was missing and the hole was filled with dirt. The drain plug was broken and was laying on the side of the bathroom sink. The entire hotel was disgusting!

Strongly urge you to sleep in your clothes

First the good, the shower had good water pressure.
Now the not so good, during check-in, the front desk representative carried on a conversation with her friend sitting across the room the entire time. Once in the room, the water in the bathroom sink began to get stopped up. I tried to call the front desk, to my surprise the phone didn't have a phone cord. Later the representative told me that it was probably unplugged by housekeeping, to find it then plug it in. Also, while pulling back the bedspread there was hair on the sheets. The mini refrigerator/freezer was dirty so we kept our food in the bag for safe keeping.

i booked a suite at this hotel. Get there and check in and i think the room was 202 that i got. the whole place stinks of smoke but i had traveled a long way and needed to rest. the room was ok except the tv did not work and i called front desk. they came up and tried to get tv working with no success. they then put in a room half the size and said i was in the only suite. she then said to me i didn't pay enough for the room anyway. how RUDE . Floors on the 2nd floor creaked while walking on them. Water pressure was really low in the shower. I felt it was very inconvenient to have to walk down the stairs to get ice and take it back upstairs.

While grabbing breakfast the juice machine claimed to have Orange, apple, cranberry and some other juice. All but the orange juice only dispensed water.

The coffee machine when on a fritz and sprayed hot coffee and hot water all over the floor and another hotel guest.

I knew i wasnt getting a 5 star hotel but 140 dollars for one night it wasnt even worth the two star rating it had.

Front desk service was great. Housekeeping knocked on door at 9:00am telling me I’ve got til 11:00 to leave but they have a lot to get done so be quick as possible. Towels were stained and looked like not laundered. Hairs on toilet, bed linen didn’t look clean, burn hole, and just unclean. I could understand if the room was cheap but $140 - really? I’ll never stay at another Quality Inn.

We forst stopped in to check availability amd were told ony 2 rooms availability cash only. Then we made online reservations. Nobody there to check us in. Had to call them sfter waiting for 20 minutes. Same at checkout. The room was musty and smelt old. Holes on the curtains. Mold on. The cealing in the bathroom. And the shower curtain was very old and worn aswell. Just very dated and smelly. Seemed like it was in a shady part of town.

Room had a strong smoking odor , all my clothes smell like smoking, i dont smoke , i notified front desk and he said the whole hotel is non smoking , but my room had cigarite burns all over the bedding covers, sink was clogged, it took them over 5 hours to un glogged, i was at a funeral gave them plenty of time when i got back thank 'God for Malisa she took care of it, but the smoke smell was the worse , terrible to be forced to sleep in that strong odor , will never stay in this place i radar sleep in my car. should be refunded the early check in fee due to the fact the sink issue and the smoke odor in room i should have a full refund, i will leave a bad review online also.

No elevator luckily on 2 flights of stairs. The first room nothing worked in it. Had to find a number to call front desk with cell phone. We had to take everything back dowstairs get a new room just to go back upstairs to the next room. That room was good but the coffee maker didn't work. There breakfast was good.

The place stinks of mildew. We had literally 3 squares of toilet paper left on our one single roll of toilet paper. So I doubt they cleaned the restroom from the previous guests. Gross. The bed was hard as a rock. The breakfast they offered in the morning had a rubbery consistency, weird and inedible l. To top it off the man working the front desk was rude and made me and my fiance very uncomfortable. Overall, it's the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in as far as cleanliness goes. Walls in the hall were filthy, sheets were badly stained, shower was full of mildew and don’t get me started about the carpet!!! The blow dryer didn’t work so they did bring me one. However as soon as I started using it the fire alarm goes off!! Total experience was a nightmare!!!! Will never stay here again.

Not a smooth check in as no person was at front desk had to call and then someone came. There were many sketchy looking people in lobby. Receptionist Woman was pleasant and apologized for delay. There was no elevator to second floor where our room was. Upon entering room noticed bed spread was full of cigarette burns and bedding looked dirty . We requested new sheets and wasn’t a problem. The shower had no shower curtain and the front desk asked if i would take a bath instead when i brought to their attention . I asked for a different room instead and she said she would get in trouble for that. So eventually she brought a shower curtain. We only stayed one night otherwise we would of stayed at a hotel with better ratings. Other then that locatIon was great many food options and supermarkets around . Breakfast was hot and another plus was room had microwave and refrigerator and everything worked.

This place would have to really try if it wanted to be worse. Rude check in service. Misleading photos. Rooms that smell like stale pot smoke and cigars. Cracked glass in the picture frames in the room and plenty of cigarette burns in the bed covers. But at least the bathroom looked ok, and when I shut the door it helped protect my clothes from acquiring the smell of the room. I’m ok with cheaper and older hotels, but wow, this place was nasty.

Great until guy at front desk insinuated to get back in my room (key laying by door inside) he needed some services. Um really come on...

Place smelled like cigarettes. Bathtub was dirty and nasty. Bed sheets had stains. Never staying there again.

Receiption was not at desk at less 30min after I arrived which delayed my checking, I think he was asleep somewhere he said he was working 24 hours due to no staff
