We paid extra for the suite but overall was just an okay stay. There are no controls for the AC and the room stayed hot. Lobby was very dated and smelled like a bathroom. Rooms need updating and I don’t think I would book this room again.

We were given the wrong room number but no big issue there. Easily mistaken when taking more than one party. The bell boys were super helpful from taking our bags and directing us to our room and taking our bags on check out.
Room was ok very out dated and air conditioning didn’t work very well and tv did not work.

There are only 3 lines for check-in before cable car while there are groups of tourists to handle, took 40’ in line for a line of 3. And another room check when arrived, too many steps

We had one of the most stressful hotel experiences here, and what made it worse was how poorly the situation was handled.

On our first night, we were assigned two rooms: 3205 and 3112. Room 3205 was perfectly fine, but when we went to access Room 3112, the key card did not work. Moments later, a guest opened the door from inside and informed us that they were currently staying in that room. This means the hotel assigned us a room that was already occupied, which is a serious breach of privacy and security.

We immediately returned to the front desk to report the issue. Instead of resolving it promptly, we were asked to wait around 20 minutes while they “looked for a room,” eventually giving us a different one (3118). No apology was given at that time.

The next day, when we requested our key for the second night, the situation escalated further. A manager confronted us and attempted to show us footage of Room 3118 to “prove” that it was not occupied—completely missing the point. Our issue was never with 3118, but with the original room 3112 that they assigned to us. Despite explaining this clearly, the manager insisted that we must have misread the key card, which is simply not true. It was clearly labeled 3112, and we would not have encountered another guest otherwise.

What is most disappointing is the complete lack of accountability. Not only was there a serious operational mistake, but the staff chose to shift the blame onto us rather than acknowledge the error or offer

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL BEFORE READING.

This is a review from a Da Nang Local who has stayed in this hotel 5 times. Everytime, it gets worse. But this was the worst by FAR.

What you see on Hotels.com is super-outdated, and a bait and switch. Some rooms are NOT in the main hotel but a ghost hotel about a half-a-mile away with ZERO staff and a designated breakfast area that is 2/10 compared to what is offered in the main hotel.

The Family rooms, specifically, are totally different from what you see, dirty, old, and without AC you control. The ways are stained with who knows what. NO COUCH. It's as if you are literally in a temporary prison holding cell...for $300 USD.

REFUSE to eat in the \"other\" breakfast hall. Go to the main hotel and eat there. The selection is x5 as good and the atmposphere is x20 what youll find in this military mess hall they set up.

Shame on Mercure for being this greedy. Sold out all year and ZERO upgrades? No staff? No communication? This should feel like a 5-star hotel for the $ spent/and made, but instead it is quite literally one of the worst hotels in all of Da Nang.

I would skip Ba Na Hills altogether, as it has gone way downhill...but if you MUST go, NEVER stay here.

DONT BE FOOLED! Advertisements, pictures look great, but this property falls WAY SHORT of delivering any kind of experience for overnight guests. Food is poor at best, most restaurants close at 4:30pm. Most things to do close at 5pm. After 5pm- there is beer and wine until the next morning. The advertisement is have WIFI- they sure do but it doesn’t work! Only way to get in room dining is via WiFi- again doesn’t work and they don’t have “paper menus.” You can tell the staff doesn’t want to be here. Service is poor at best, asking anyone for directions seems like you are bothering them. Communication is very difficult with most staff in any language. When checking in this hotel tells you the only option for dinner is a $1mill dong per person “buffet” for absolute garbage food. I paid for 3 night stay and left after 1. If you go- only plan a few hours, pack your own food water, then leave. This is a REAL and honest review.

We travelled as a group of 4 and couldn’t book the spa together because they only had 2 staff on. Embarrassing for a hotel of that size. Unacceptable. The food was always cold on the buffet and for the price they charge, also embarrassing. The rooms are dark and dreary and musty. Will not recommend. The only thing positive that I can say is that the bell hops were great.

It was great being able to stay within the theme park, the atmosphere and activities after dark were fun without the huge crowds since the lifts were closed. However the room is pretty poor, especially as a Mercure property. There is zero insulation and noise proofing. You could hear EVERYTHING both outside the hotel and into the hallways. We got very little sleep. Also the shower in the bathroom was just a showerhead into the room itself, so when you shower, the whole bathroom gets soaked. So if you wanted to use the toilet after anyone had showered, everything is drenched.

The walls in the room are paper thin, I can hear clearly into the adjacent rooms and the hallways. That means screaming kids and all while you’re tying to sleep. However, the location is pretty much where you want it to be. I wouldn’t recommend staying more than one night specially if you’ve gone to a lot theme parks in your life. Ba Na Hills felt just like that. Not saying it’s a bad thing but for someone who’s been to theme parks a lot, traveling to Vietnam and being in a theme park may not be what you’re looking for. Nonetheless, it’s a beautiful place and a must go.

All excellent except for the check out process. I handed over the key and was told to wait 10 minutes while they check the room to finalize the check out. After 35 minutes of waiting I had to come up to check and was told everything is good. Either they forgot about me or they need to get a better system. Guests should not have to wait 30+ minutes to check out.

Our stay at Hotel de Paris had both highlights and disappointments. The room itself was nice, featuring windows that opened to provide fresh air and some glimpses of the park. The facilities were good and housekeeping maintained the room to a satisfactory standard.
However, our experience was significantly impacted by noise issues. Throughout our stay, we encountered disruptive sounds from the corridors, neighboring rooms, and the floor above, which resulted in poor sleep quality during the nights.
The breakfast buffet was served from 6:30 to 9:30am with reasonable options available.
While the location and room amenities had appeal, the noise factor was a major drawback to our overall experience. For future visits, we would consider exploring different room types or alternative accommodation options within the hotel to potentially avoid similar issues.

Being a guest at this hotel comes with some unique perks, like early access to the famous “golden bridge” and VIP pass to skip the long lines to the cable car. The property looks stunning from the outside and the ambience around the village is amazing — but sadly, the hotel experience itself is far from premium.

Check-in was painfully slow. At the bottom of the hill only three counters were open despite the crowds, and staff seemed inexperienced.

Hotel & Facilities: While the exterior is beautiful, the property is dated and poorly maintained. Common areas, especially toilets, were dirty, smelly, and broken — not what you expect from a “premium” hotel.

Rooms: The bathroom has no real divider, so sound and smell carry through, and with no ventilation, odors linger. Poor design for the price paid.

Food & Dining: Easily the weakest part. The menu is very limited, especially at night, and what’s served often looks nothing like the pictures (see the Margherita pizza). Vegetarians get maybe three options, and staff won’t accommodate more. Everything is overpriced. The red velvet cake was the worst I’ve eaten — shocking for a French brand like Mercure/Accor. Breakfast was equally bad: the restaurant smelled, the spread was low quality, hash browns tasteless, toast not properly done, coffee lousy, and the “vegetarian corner” inedible.

Staff & Service: Most staff were unfriendly, and some outright rude. Restaurant staff especially seemed untrained. Plenty of people, but no service.

Overall, the property has so much potential, but Mercure is running it poorly. For the price, the experience is disappointing and nowhere near premium.

Extremely unhygienic and a disaster waiting for someone to contract food poisoning. GOOD: cable car ride/seeing waterfall; golden bridge (hands made great photos), faux French village, day entertainment, fun alpine coasters & beautiful spiritual area (temples & pagodas). Breakfast both days v good too & pool fun but cold.
BAD: even tho’ we did on line check in, we still had to wait 20 mins in a hot room to check in & then at the top we had a further 10 min wait for key card. We were put in the Toulouse hotel which was fine/short walk to things BUT the walls were not soundproofed. Maybe they were but we had neighbours from hell. There was a huge number of people shouting outside our room at 5.30 a.m and they would not move nor be quiet when I asked them. There was a sign saying be quiet but they didnt care. Their wild kids rang our doorbell twice and then went on the balcony to shout. We rang reception but they never picked up. Also, the Medieval world rides didn’t start till 9 a.m but they played the music loudly from 7.45 & that was next to our room.
The resort was boring in the evenings: we ate out both nights (food disappointing & dear for Vietnam) but everything was shut. There was an expensive show/buffet package but we didn’t want to pay any more money. I read there was mini golf but that seems to have gone.
